The pitch-black sky had just bestowed upon The Land of Fire, and the moon was nowhere to be seen due to the vast number of grey clouds that invaded the sky on that day. In a couple a seconds, a lightning took down the silence and warned those beneath that a rain was about to occur. Tenzō alongside the three other shinobi had just arrived before this towering building which once had the purpose of serving as temple for some old and lost religion. Even if, the building was surrounded by a vast forest, the moonlight still managed to pierce a few rays between the thick clouds, illuminating this majestic structure which now had a different kind of purpose. Green moss began to grow around the supporting stones on which the building was build upon, overall it looked like an abandoned and old structure. Its perimeter was also surrounded by a medium-sized wall with a thickness of 30 inches at least, although it was quite old and it gave only a little amount of defense.

Shiro was affiliated with the organization which recently just took over the area, also the role which she played represented a key part within their plan. The young Uchiha lady was placed in charge of their tactical division due to her analytical mind which was capable of supporting them with different kind of strategies that were beneficial for their fighting style. Whenever it came to devising up new strategies, Shiro would propose different kind of battle formations while also dividing up the members upon certain factors. Those who were sturdy and capable of showing a proficiency within close combat were obviously chosen to sit in the front row, while the medical nins were placed in the back in order to support them in combat. However, knowing that there might be the risk of getting flanked or attacked from behind, Shiro has also assigned a special squad with the sole purpose of combating such acts.

A couple of hard steel gates were placed with the purpose of encasing the building completely within those walls; only two shinobi were in charge of the mechanism at a time, and both of them were lingering above them as keepers. Once the group was located at a distance of approximately two meters away from the gates, and after the appropriate signal was formed; the doors were hissed open in order to clear their path inside. Quivering and screeching was the sound that resonated from the mechanics, clearly indicating the doors were quite old in age. Small particles of dust began to swirl forth while the leaves were savagely blown away in the process. Everything in this place had an eerie vibe, even the air seemed quite thick and uneasy, as it was overwhelming the young Uchiha completely with its simple presence.

Despite that the place looked abandoned from a distance, in reality it was heavily guarded by a hefty number of skilled shinobi. Those who were acting as guards were equipped with a communication device that was plugged within their ear in case there was an unexpected attack and the word needed to travel rather quickly. On top of this, the organization also had a number of shinobi that were skilled in sensory techniques, and around the temple there was a small sensory barrier which had the purpose of alerting those who maintained it, if someone had to courage to barge inside their base without any kind of permission. The barrier was rather simple and could be maintained be three shinobi at a time, also its shape was similar to a dome-like barrier which covered only the building and not the wall which stood around it. Almost all of the members of this organization were already above the threshold of adulthood, which meant that they were at least eighteen years of age.

This particular organization had a quite strange policy whenever someone was proposed to join within their ranks. Therefore, the village from which they came or the past that formed them were not important at all, more specifically these had absolutely no kind of weight in their decision. Most of the recruitments were achieved by vouching for another person. With that being said, if someone knew a capable shinobi or ronin that wished to join, that person should vouch for his entry and loyalty. Some may think that this is a strict rule, although up until now, this method has shown good results by ensuring that the main goal of the organization remained a secret from the unwanted ears that were lingering nearby. Overall the process was going on really slow at the moment, but this did not caused the people to stray from the rules that were posed by the leader of this specific organization.

“You see, Tenzō... this is our home base, or headquarters if you prefer it like that. You’ll be seeing here a whole different world, and your sister, lady Shiro will be here if you wish to speak with her. Now that all the preparations have been made and the doors have been opened, our path is no longer hindered and we’re allowed to enter. Are you ready for this, Tenzō?” were the words spoken by the third member of the group that were assigned as an escort for the young Uchiha, more specifically the one who was earlier attending towards his wounds, the medical nin. Twenty-seven years old was the man who played the role of the medic; a medium-sized and hazel haircut covered the top if his skull. His eyes were narrowed and they gazed forth, hinting that the man was not expecting an answer towards his question, although that did not stop Tenzō from speaking.

“I understand now. However, I would still wish to speak with my sister once we’re inside. Therefore, please do take me to her.” was the reply given by the Uchiha on a barely audible tone; he was too tired from his training and journey. Those jet-black eyes barely stood open and his pose was rather weak; a few hours of sleep would work like a charm on him now. Enduring the state in which he was in, was a difficult task for him to maintain during this whole time. Being tired was not that big of a deal, although the wounds began to bother him once more, and if he would not get some rest soon they might end up opening once more. Tenzō’s body was still young and frail, and wounds such as these would leave quite an impact on him on the current state in which he was now. However, what did not killed him only managed to make him stronger.  He believed that understanding and acknowledging fear was the right thing to do, ignoring it would only make the young Uchiha to act carelessly.

Without further ado, at a slow pacing the group had proceeded on making their way towards the towering temple. Nearby the temple’s entrance there were two shinobi who were assigned to guard the entrance inside the building. They looked exactly like your typical henchmen, as their bodies were rather bulky; brawns over brains, was the best way to describe these two, although they were not alone. Just a few meters away from the gates a group of three or four people were concentrating on a game of shogi; due to its nature the game was very similar to chess, and it could last between thirteen or sixteen minutes, sometimes even more. It seems that the atmosphere here was tense only for the newcomer, as the rest of them were acting as this was nothing more than a second home, at least that was the impression which they left behind. The courtyard which stood beneath the walls was rather dull and unappealing, it missed the touch of a woman; there were no flowers and the grass was barely growing anywhere.

Once the group found themselves against the organization’s main entrance, they were forced to stop once more, although this time on the request of a guard. “You’ve all been informed that we’re not allowed to bring any kind of friends inside the chantry. This is one of our most basic rules. What do you have to say now?” the guard spoke on a rather sturdy tone while keeping both of his eyes on Tenzō the whole time. As soon as he finished those words, the medical nin shook his head a couple of times before replying back “Yes, I am aware. However, this is the brother of lady Shiro, he was expected to come here.” on a gentle tone. Without any more time wasted, the guard had nodded once as a result to his words before backing off slowly and granting access for the group in order to proceed inside this old and majestic temple. “Thank you.” the medical nin said before darting his eyes against the young Uchiha, and letting a few words escape between his lips “Don’t worry, we’re almost there.” on a calm tone.

The group was now slowly walking through a fairly significant corridor; one which was hardly visible to the naked eyes. Small torches were located on the sides and they were barely striving to shape it, although they were flickering chaotically without any kind of sense. There were no windows located on the sides in order to illuminate this place, as such the large and tight hallway was rather dank and eerie. Multiple doors made out of an old and sturdy wood made the young Uchiha wonder what kind of place was this before, how it looked when it was freshly built, it must have been a masterpiece compared to the other temples located upon this vast lands. What kind of funding or relations did this organization have in order to procure such a large and old chantry; without a doubt, this building was worth a fortune, due to its sturdy structure and probably it also had an important historical past. A strong and peculiar smell was piercing Tenzō’s nose, describing it was rather hard, although the only thing which was certain about was given by that moist feeling.

While the group continued walking forth, something similar to a background noise began to rattle throughout the building, becoming more on more intense with each step taken by them. During the whole walk, the young Uchiha remained silent without asking any kind of question, even though inside of him there were probably at least one hundred of them. He was a bit frightened due to the uncertainty which lingered around him, however most of his worries were about to end once he would regroup back with his sister. A couple of more seconds had passed before the group finally found themselves against pair of two and towering wooden doors, which were quite large than the rest. Upon these two there was a strange and old sigil engraved upon them, it was quite hard to realize what it mean due to them being quite old in age.  Without further ado, two of the shinobi which were escorting Tenzō, and before his a large room was unveiled; at least a dozen of shinobi were standing around a rather large table and discussing upon a fairly large map.

This main hall was quite a contrast when compared with the corridor through which the four shinobi had passed,  as it almost gave the impression that a sun was inside of it. Chandeliers and medium-sized torches were illuminating this room which had the purpose of acting as a main briefing room for the organization. Alongside the map which was located on the table, there were quite a few fairly large cups filled with the wine that was stocked inside a couple of barrels which lingered within the large room. However, these were not the only barrels which this organization had, as there were quite a few unopened barrels in that frail storage house made out of oak, which was freshly build by the members of this organization, just a few steps away from the chantry. Various types of food were also placed upon the table, making it seem as this was nothing more than a royal ball, if you would ignore the old furniture within this temple.

“Uhm... Tenzō! You’re finally here. Please excuse me, I really need to speak with him for a couple a seconds. He’s still unaware of what’s going on, and most likely he has a reasonable number of questions which need answering.” Shiro spoke on a rather exciting tone before lashing herself towards her brother. With the use of her right hand, the young woman grabbed a hold of him before pulling him into another room located nearby this main hall. “What’s going on, Shiro? What are you doing here with all of these people, and what happened with our training? What was the whole purpose of ---“ the young Uchiha asked before being interrupted by his own sister. If she were not to stop him that mere moment, his questions would probably go on forever. Both infuriated and baffled were probably the best word to describe the state in which he was now; those jet-black eyes of his were narrowed and his right leg tapped the ground continuously while he awaited for an explanation regarding all of these events which happened under such short notice.

“Well, let us start with the training since that is much more easier to explain than the rest. You see, Tenzō, you were slacking on too much and you were destined to fall behind quite drastically, especially if you were going to keep this up. You haven’t even unlocked your Sharingan, and I was going to force you to do so, although this meeting came up and I had to present myself to it. Therefore, those three which remained behind were supposed to help you awaken the first tomoe of your Sharingan. You see, I am just a couple of years older then you and I have already matured my Sharingan, it has three tomoes. And with its power, am I able to perform quite well on the battlefield, and also training became much easier once I have unlocked my second tomoe.” were the words spoken by Shiro on a gentle tone, while her right hand rested upon Tenzō’s left shoulder. Her black eyes were shut for a mere second before she opened them in order to reveal her matured Sharingan.

Even though she only explained a small part of the problem, the young Uchiha was already being overwhelmed by the amount of information that was being poured within him. “Alright, sister. I understand the need for the sudden training, and to be honest I’m quite tired and I may need some rest before we continue with this discussion. I’ll be heading home and we can talk about it there.” were the words spoken by Tenzō before his wound began to make itself noticed once more, hurting his shoulder. “I can’t really come home right now, Tenzō. I still have much more things to do, they need my help with this... assignment that we’re going to do. However, once you’ve considered that you’re ready to know more, please do visit me here. Ask for my presence and tell them who you are, so they may let you inside this chantry.” Shiro said on a calm and assuring tone before placing her eyes to a rest, reverting them to their normal state.

A deep sigh has escaped between those luscious lips that belonged to the young Uchiha before his eyes slowly went against the ground, resting there a for a couple of seconds. “I understand, Shiro. For now... I shall head home to mother and father, and think about all of this, and once I’m done thinking, I’ll return here and seek you out. Promise me that you’re not doing something reckless and that you’ll be safe from harm’s way...” were the words spoken by Tenzō on a calm and almost quivering tone. Shiro nodded a few times, assuring him that she would keep her promise about what he just asked. Just a few more words were exchanged between them, while Shiro had escorted her younger brother outside the chantry. The silence was petrifying within the courtyard, although they broke it quite easily before reaching all the way back towards the old gates through which he came from.

The sky was now clear and the slumbering moon became visible upon the pitch-black sky, and between those dispersed clouds, the celestials stars were showing up their worth, illuminating the sky with their presence. It only took him at least three hours to relocate himself beneath the towering gates of Konohagakure, although once he arrived, the young Uchiha had headed straight home and informed both of his parents that Shiro could not make it back home; he actually refrained himself from speaking the whole truth, thus he only mentioned that she was gone within a rather important mission. The piece of clothing which wrapped along his shoulder was no longer white; a crimson color took over it, as the blood managed to once more leak from his wound. With that evidence behind, it was quite hard for him to explain the story to his parents, although they were both reasonable and trusted him, without questioning his statements. It wasn’t really the first that in which either Tenzō or Shiro returned home with wound from their friendly training.

A strong urge to sleep was deeply imprinted within him, although with the help of his mother, the young Uchiha managed to wash up his wound so that it may not get tainted. The use of alcohol caused the lad to bite his lips due to the pain which gave him a burning sensation, although he endured it as it was much better than getting some kind of infection within it. A new and freshly brought bandage was wrapped alongside his shoulder, covering up that stab which was caused by a kunai; it was clear as daylight that his mother was not a medical nin, however, she knew well how to apply first aid when needed. “Do you need something else, Tenzō? What about something to eat, we still have some rice left, and it won’t take a lot to warm it up?” his mother asked on a gentle tone whilst placing all of the medical tools back inside the first aid kit.

A few consecutive and quick nods followed up before a short approving word made its appearance, as the Uchiha was gone for a long amount of time and going to sleep with an empty stomach was not something that he could have wished for. Tenzō awaited for a couple of minutes before having his dish served, and as soon as it arrived beneath his two jet-black eyes, the hungry lad already had began eating. The warm and powerful smell of rice perturbed his noise, and made him eat even faster; finishing up the bowl in just a bit under two minutes. “Thanks for that wonderful meal, mother. I will now head over and wash my teeth before bed. Good night!” the young Uchiha said before taking a bow against his mother and heading up towards the stairs.

“Click!” was the sound which quivered down the hallway whilst the Uchiha turned on the lights inside the bathroom. In just a few seconds he found himself against the mirror, gazing at his own looks while brushing up his teeth; the whole process was really slow due to him being lost within his thoughts. Few of them were quite irrelevant, although one surprised him quite well and managed to bring a shivering sensation throughout the body. The uniforms that the organization for which Shiro was working for, seemed rather familiar to him. Although it’s been quite a while since he last seen one, and it all happened in an eerie mission in which he encountered a  village that was frozen beneath a sea of ice. Even if it’s nothing more than a simple coincidence, this small realization just made him even more suspicious regarding that whole chantry.

The fact that his own body looked rather injured and bruised, didn’t seem to bother the Uchiha at all; frozen like an icicle he stood and gazed at his own reflection for a just a single more minute before continuing with the cleansing of his teeth. After he had finished doing so, a few mouthfuls of water were required in order to make sure that they were spotless; that chiseled face of his was also washed before he turned off light and headed for his own room. Once located inside the room, the Uchiha opened up his small drawer that was attached towards his desk before taking out an old map which he used in order to pinpoint the location of the chantry. Now may not be the time, but surely he would pay another visit towards in the upcoming weeks;  there was still many more questions which stood on the top of his lips, and most of them were directed towards his own sister. A few notes were also left but, on a small piece of paper a reminder for the journey that will take him there once more.

Without further ado, the Uchiha closed up the drawer right after he threw the map and note back inside it. His garment which looked quite old was replaced due to it needing a wash from all of the blood stains which were formed upon it, and it was had quite a lot of dirt marks. His clock that was located alongside his bed indicated the it was almost three o’clock, and he had to get up quite early due to the assignments which he wished to fulfill the in the morning. “I hope that you’ll be alright till our encounter, Shiro. Wait for me and I will come. I promise that I’ll get much stronger till then, also I’ll be a new person when we will meet again.” were the words mumbled by the Uchiha whilst he tucked himself carefully inside the bed; a in just a couple of seconds his eyes were closed before falling into a deep and peaceful sleep. That whole body of his was almost screaming for a few hours of relaxation.

And the night has ended...
