Maigo adjusted his jacket on himself, tightening his belt around his sword and making sure the rest of his tools were equipped. He'd left Zero at home, no need for a sloth to get involved in any of this, backpack with a few supplies on his back in case he was gone for too long. Maigo dashed out of the village and headed towards the village gate as quickly as he could, another mission was merely another day for him, and one with decent enough pay hopefully. Arriving at the gate he lingered for a second, going to the guard and asking about his mission partner. It was usually decent etiquette to meet up and plan before hand, but apparently he'd gotten a bit ahead of himself and already headed out of the village. Ir he'd left entirely, it mattered not in the end, Maigo could handle a simple mission like this on his own with little to no effort extended.

Hopefully, towards the scene of their encounter and the bandits general location, if Maigo headed there, he should be able to find him. That or he'll be off somewhere else completely, but Maigo can handle a few simple bandits no problem. He hoped. As long as they stood to be the typical bandits and all, and not some pseudo-ninja laying in wait and defending the others. That would be a problem to deal with when he arrived there. The location had been marked on a map ahead of time, a small port past the outskirts of the village off the mainland of the nation of water. An easy access point, it was off the beaten path and surrounded by lots of forest, easily able to handle any pesky civilians that showed up or small time ninja that would wander upon them. However, being criminals, they would have to understand the risk to themselves and operating so close to the village, and given Kirgakure no Sato's policy of not taking prisoner, it would be too bad for them.

Heading off in the groups projected direction, somewhere near a port for ease of access and transportation, Maigo felt like he had been doing this so long that everything was becoming second nature to him. These criminals were all the same every time, always motivated by money or power, and non of them the gall to truly test himself with. The smell of salt tinted the air as he drew near, dashing through bushes and branch to branch. A slight fog grew into focus above his feet and the sound of birds and insects began to fill the air along with the calming sounds of rushing water from all around him.

A quick turn down the fork of a road, more salt in the air, so much familiarity to it all, Maigo slowed his approach and began to feel out the area around him. Keeping everything in mind, his perception acting as his saving grace as he stuck to the tree line and dashed forward. A quick glimmer, Maigo found a small encampment of them, at first glance he couldn't tell how many there were, but he stopped and leaned against a tree to his side. Maigo looked onto their operation, taking note of each of them as they unloaded the heavy cargo onto a wooden cart with a horse to draw it. He breathed a heavy sigh as he looked on from behind his cover, there were quite a few of them marked up on their posts and standing guard along with those working. Maybe ten in total? They didn't look like anything special either, just your average people of varying ages and sizes, each of them a bit hardened by the nature of their work but no more than anyone else he'd ever gone up against.

A few minutes surveillance would be more than enough for their mission though, from what Maigo saw there were no more than ten guys around doing a variety of tasks. Maigo would lay low, dashing down from the branch to a tree just across the roadway. Closing the gap a little bit between himself and the caravan and vanguard defending it. Now that he was closer he would be able to hear whispers and talking amongst themselves and their joking and laughing. So relaxed for a band of criminals... it was rather pitiful that their lives would soon end. Hopefully they loved their line of work, as it wouldn't matter much beyond this point, their last moments would be this right here. The final flashes of light in their lives would be that of them laughing along and laboring in their work, the bottom rungs of the ladder at best.

Activating his sharingan and focusing in on the group, he would prepare himself without warning, grabbing the shruiken from his pouch and throwing them in to the scene to his the first non-engaged combatant he could find. Following his attack, Maigo would dash in as quickly as he could, sword drawn to begin engaging them in hand to hand combat. His sharingan activated and focusing in on all of them, it would be less than a moment before Maigo would be upon them and with the element of surprise he would begin cutting them down one by one until the others came along. It would be easy, nothing more than slightly exhausted effort for him to cut around and through everyone as he would launch his attack against their group, catching nearly all of them completely off guard.

Their actions wouldn't be able to keep up, and sharingan activated he would leave nothing standing. Every slash would be met with a parry or total dodge and striking in between their attacks, they wouldn't stand a chance. He kept everything calculated and continued attacking, three severe cuts each, beyond enough to incapacitate them or even go as far as kill them if he could. It would be better in the long run, anyone left behind or left living and capable of standing up again would become a nuisance to him later on as they would watch their comrades fall before him.

His eyes watching their every move and chakra flash about, their moves were obvious, they stood out like trees in a desert. One at a time, three cuts, for everyone of the ten that would come in his path he wouldn't have to take long. And anyone left over would have their neck pierced by his blade after the fact, the cold gaze of his eyes and their power, nothing would escape his sight. Keeping a slight tab on the other opponents to make sure he wouldn't get overwhelmed or anything of that nature. But given their attack early to throw off their numbers if even for a moment, and the quickly approaching attacks, it wouldn't take more than the time to cut them, to bring them down. Every strike from his sword transitioned to the next maneuver as he deflected, parried his way through their numbers. It was too easy at this point, his eyes moving about wildly from point to point and marking everything in the battle that was moving about.

The smugglers cut down, it was like clock work and didn't affect him in the slightest. Wiping the blood off his blade onto the collar of one of the men, their work was done, their mission completed. Any remorse he had for them was gone with their decision and he'd leave it at that. He'd grown far colder lately, these decision were becoming easier, and the justifications for such had become even lighter. It didn't take much anymore for him to get to killing and striking down his foes, relentless in nature and in tactic, his eyes saw through everyone's moves and he ended them with relentless fury.

Walking around the site to make sure everyone was taken care of and everything was secure, making sure with his own eyes and perception. Marking the cargo and finishing off anyone else that might have been lingering around. The boxes were certainly heavy, probably full of valuables that the village would confiscate for their own use. But the arguments and introspection on the actions and ethicality of the village's actions would be saved for another time perhaps. Maigo sighed a bit as he waited for the ANBU squad to come clean up the area and prep the stolen goods for transport back to the village. He supposed that he would be getting to handle the paperwork and turn in a report. Not that it mattered at all. He just hated paperwork in the end, the tediousness of it all. When everything was said and done, he left the site and headed back the village to turn everything in and collect his pay for the mission. Then it was on to the next one.
