A sunday like any other, that's what the day seemed to be. It wasn't bad for Kegare though, who for once woke up without having had either a bad dream or too much pain. It seemed to be one of those days where his pain seemed to have passed the worst point and subsided a bit, which in turn gave the older man some time to take a breather and get his head straight.

While he took a shower, feeling the warm water flow over his skin, course through the wounds that covered both his body and face, Kegare actually found the sensation soothing rather than unbearably annoying. It was a certain relief that the pain was dulled down a bit, which the genin attributed to his more regular exercises and his more active way of living that he had taken up for himself.

"Hmm, the pain may be less ugly, but that doesn't go the same way for my wounds though," he moped a slight bit, brushing his teeth, combing his hair and affixing his signature smiling mask to his face.

For his attire, he'd just go with his usual extravagant three piece suite, boots and hat. After all, there was no point in having taste if you didn't show you had it. As he handled his gloves and straightened his bow tie, Kegare got his keys and went out of his appartment to head on over to the Bazaar, hoping to find some interesting stuff at the sunday market.

If he was any lucky, there might've been a stand with scrolls and other wares for shinobi, which was in this day and age a good business and with the old man having decided to take up his training again, anything that would be an asset was interesting.

At the Bazaar though, the masked shinobi was quite surprised by the amount of people already awake at the early hours, with thousands of people already scouring through the stalls and stands and checking out each and every vendor's wares and products. Kegare himself was doing the same as well, looking over all the stalls to find something that might've been interesting.

One of the stalls promised to have the best kunai's on the market, while another stall promised to have the best possible quality of armor that money could buy. It was rather amusing to walk around on the market when there was so much to see, hear and find.

However, when he had finally found a stall, which he actually found rather interesting, not because it had shinobi tools, but because it had a great selection of books and art, an incident happened which had the potential of truly ruining his day.

A bunch of bad mannered and roughnecked youths decided to annoy the vendor: an old woman who dressed a bit eccentric and stuttered.

Alas, when Kegare wanted to step in, things went from bad to worse, when one of the youths pulled out a kunai and threatened the old woman into handing over all her money and most expensive piece of art which she had for sale, which happened to be an old work from the Yamada Clan, the very thing that had managed to grab Kegare's attention.

"Stop with this nonsense, kids," The masked man looked towards the youths with a stern look in his eyes, but their response was that one of them suddenly gave the old woman a punch in the gut while the others ran off with their haul. "Goddamned, oy kids, stop it... madame, or you alright. Oy, isn't there a damn shinobi to stop those thieves?!"

earlier...

"So you know what must be done then?"

With a sigh, Raishi merely slouched a bit as he reflected on all he had done so far, on all that there was to do. Fatigue and the weight of his current responsibilities as head of the Kanetsu clan, were beginning to crush him ever so slowly. But it was against his nature to back down from a challenge, especially when he was expected to succeed in the challenge by a dear friend, who had entrusted it to him. I can do this...I can do this... he reminds himself cooling, before swiftly straightening up and meeting eyes with the elder man that he had come to know as a counsellor. The room was lit by the serpentine lava veins on the walls, snaking in distinguishable ordered chaos. The auburn the red amber glow evoked a certain warmth and comfort in the simple room, beyond the fact that the room was, in fact, one of the many inner chambers of Xiuhcoatl's Maw, a volcano and official residence of the Kanetsu clan. The same glow danced about the aged face of the man before him, his long, white hair almost glowing with youthfulness once more. And yet, at the same time, that unsightly scar on the left side of the man's face stood opposing the mellow glow on the other; instead, the red light seemed to highlight the sinister tale behind the scar.

"Yes...I do. Although I am still unsure if this is the right move to take. Is it necessary I do this? The village seems to have moved passed the whole Akira-Tsuyo ordeal and moreover, I spoke to Shigeki, the closest Kanetsu to Kazu, and he assured me of Kazu's integrity. I understand that a Kanetsu's word may not appease those who thirst for our demise, but surely these people will always exist, and it is only the heart of the majority we should have in our sights?"

Old Man Roku picked up his cup of tea, and sipped ever so silently, his back as straight as it always is in seiza, a man of inexorable regality. He was a well respected man, in the village and especially within the Kanetsu. In spite of all he had been through, Raishi had never met such a man as him. And he was glad to have met him in such a time as this, as Roku was the only one since his appointment as clan head to give Raishi a chance. When he spoke, his soft, assuring voice was at odds with his hardened face, and his eyes sparkled with fruits of wisdom.

"Raishimaru, why do you doubt yourself? In the short period you've been Clan Head, you've doubted each decision you've made, second guessing yourself with each turn. I understand that your hesitation stems from the fact that you feel unfit to be in this position because of your unique history, and frankly the other clansmen only catalyse this feeling. But, you must understand the power in self confidence. Follow your gut, make a decision, and stick with it through and through. This was your idea anyway, so why not see how it plays out regardless?"

He then flashed Raishi a goofy, reassuring smile, before taking another sacred sip of his tea, and gesturing towards Raishi to let him be. Raishi merely smiled before leaving his chambers. I guess I have a journey to plan...

now...

The Bazaar, Iwagakure's massive market of trade goods from around the world. No matter the hour or the day, the marketplace was always bustling with life and activity, as practically anything a man could think of, within reason of course, was sold in this iconic market place. As Raishi walked through the marketplace, he reflected on what he had discussed with Old Man Roku. He knew that in order to deal with the situation at hand, he had to find the only person he knew who had the answers to his questions. And it was terribly convenient that he knew the possible location of the person...the whole shinobi world knew even. Kumogakure no Sato... Raishi reminded himself. That was where he needed to go to to find Tsuyo Hyuuga. Since it had been a little while since the world was notified of the missing-nin Tsuyo/Akira, at least Raishi had a starting point and could hopefully track him from then. Although, he wouldn't leave Iwagakure just yet, as he still had a few things to take care of, one of those things being Iwayama.

Now Iwayama was his rhino companion, and Raishi had not had the time to meet him with his companion in a while, due to his new responsibilities, and to make up for this, Raishi planned on buying Iwayama's special treats from a vendor in the Bazaar. He already knew where the vendor was, and was moving quite quickly between the masses of consumers and hagglers, paying no mind to any of them, a wide smile on his face. It wasn't long before he reached the vendor that he bought as much of the treats he could with the money he had brought with him. The massive brown bag was filled up to the brim, needing Raishi to carry it with his two hands. Damn this is heavy...he better forgive me for all this effort... he thought to himself as he struggled to maneuver his way through the crowds with the big bag blocking his view. Even though he couldn't see very well, he could tell by the distinctive smells of the different sections of the Bazaar, that he was now in the area that traded in farming wares, which was close to the exit. Almost out of here, just a little further

Suddenly, Raishi felt a violent shove behind him and he immediately fell forward, the huge bag flying gracefully out of his arms, and time seemed to freeze before the bag and all its content landed and spread generously in a particularly pungent mountain of cow dung. Frustrated, the man clenched his fists and pounded the floor, before hearing shouting not too far from behind him.

"...there a damn shinobi to stop those thieves?!"

Still on the ground, Raishi turned round to take a note of who was speaking, before looking forward and realising that the thieves the figure was referring to were the same hooligans that had cost him Iwayama's forgiveness. Angered, the shinobi quickly body flickered right in the path of the thieves. As they were still running and focusing more on people chasing them from behind, the group were more than taken aback when they were met with a variety meal of strong fists to the stomach, slaps to the face and, especially for the one in front who had actually stolen the item, a round house kick to the face. In mere moments, the group were scattered across the busy road, most unconscious, whilst others were indistinguishable nothings to themselves. Realising he had no extra money on him left to pay for Iwayama's treats, Raishi merely sighed and went to obtain the stolen item from the hands of the babbling leader. As he walked back to the man he'd heard shouting, he realised that it was a painting of some sort of expensive nature, but since he wasn't really one to appreciate art, he couldn't go figure it out beyond that. However, something about it did seem strangely familiar...

In no time, he was right in front of the man that had yelled for instance. As he spoke, he stretched out the piece of art, offering it to the weird masked man. His tone was generally friendly, but anyone could tell from his face that he was slightly annoyed.

"I believe this belongs to you?"

It seemed that his call for help in regard to the ruffians had luckily been heard by someone who seemed to have been victim of the thieves' brazen behavior as well, with bits and pieces what seemed to be some sort of food sticking to his clothes. Yet, the masked man wasn't someone who'd be easily surprised, certainly not in regards to appearance. What did get his attention though, was the fact that he hadn't seen a thing from which had transpired, it was truly a quick clean up job made by the individual who know stood in the center of a crowd clapping for his swift actions and a bunch of knocked down ruffians crying for their mommy or simply grunting in pain.

"I must say that I am more than impressed by this swift action of yours," Kegare accepted the painting that had been handed over to him, turning around to the old woman of the stall who just barely managed to get back to her feet, still gasping for air after being punched in the gut so brutally by one of the thieves. "Madame, take the money and might I advice going to the local hospital for a check up. Violence against someone of your age is such a typical thing for weakminded buffoons such as those ruffians.

The woman simply nodded, accepted the coin she was handed and decided to quickly clean up her stall and get packing for a visit at the hospital, while some other people helped her to get all her stuff into the bags and onto the cart she had standing behind her stall.

"My apologies for relying on your help, eh..." Kegare scratched his ear for a moment, realizing he had some issues figuring out who he was talking to, but then again it only took him a moment to realize who it was. "Oh, I believe you're the new head of the Kanetsu clan, is it not? Again, my apologies for not introducing myself, I am Kegare, just Kegare given my relationship with my own clan."

Using a handkechief to get rid of some of the dust on his vest, the old masked man took a long, silent look at Raishi, before stretching out his hand towards the young man. "Perhaps you may be interested in having a drink, I know a lovely teahouse nearby. However, first I reckon you might need to refill that bag of yours."

Kegare pointed towards the ruptured brown bag with his gloved hand and let out a soft chuckle. "I reckon I'll have to pay for that, it's the least I can do."

"I must say that I am more than impressed by this swift action of yours..."

Still focused on what had just transpired, Raishi barely heard the words of the man he was offering the painting to. In fact, in as much as his physical body were right there in front of the man, his mind was miles away, thinking of all the possible insults Iwayama would have at him, and the interminable grumbling he'd face without returning to his dear companion with a gift. As the man spoke to the elderly female vendor, Raishi looked down at his left hand, in which was a pitiful, empty vestige of what had been an enormous brown bag filled with all sorts of exotic plants for his rhinoceros. What could I possibly do now? he thought to himself helplessly. Without the proper persuasion, Iwayama's stubborness and contempt for long distance travelling connoted that he would be unwilling to accompany Raishi to a place as distant as Kumogakure no Sato. I'll have to find another way he thought, before realising that the person he had just done a service for was speaking to him.

"...I believe you're the new head of the Kanetsu clan, is it not? Again, my apologies for not introducing myself, I am Kegare, just Kegare given my relationship with my own clan."

Raishi raised an eyebrow as the strange man mentioned him being the new head of the Kanetsu clan. How does he know about that? he thought to himself curiously. Raishi wasn't wearing any formal attire to signify such, and only had on his usual black shinobi trousers, a white long sleeve shirt, and black shinobi sandals. In fact, the only thing that would've signified anyone at all of him being a part of the Kanetsu, was the fact that the clan's symbol was printed on the right shoulder of his top. Oh of course, what am I thinking. As a Clan Head, I am a public figure now, so of course those in the new of current affairs will know my face at least.. he reminded himself. After years of walking in between the crowds, revelling in going unnoticed by all, Raishi truly had to get used to being in the open, being easily recognisable. Raishi merely nodded as the man introduced himself as Kegare, and couldn't help but properly look at him. The man was about Raishi's height, with lean and slender build, and gray hair cut short and neat. Besides his elegant dressing, the strange man had a certain elegant ambiance about him, his voice containing a certain regal aloofness. And of course, those piercing yellow-golden eyes that looked at and through, belying the fact that his face was covered with a rather simple white mask with a rather disturbing smile carved into it. "His mannerism is certainly familiar... Raishi thought to himself curiously.

"Perhaps you may be interested in having a drink, I know a lovely teahouse nearby. However, first I reckon you might need to refill that bag of yours. I reckon I'll have to pay for that, it's the least I can do."

To this, Raishi's eyes lit up. Destiny had gifted him a second chance at reconciliation with Iwayama. He spoke with a tired smile on his face, his tone of relieved excitement.

"You know what? That actually sounds like a good idea. I've been in much need of relaxation these days, as there's just so much going on. As regards the bag I have in my hand, it was actually a much bigger one filled with exotic plants. There's a shop just around the corner where I could hopefully repurchase what I had before, because I'd be dead without it. I'll get it after the teahouse If I could just have 100 ryo, I'd really appreciate it. So yeah now that that's that, lead the way to the teahouse kind sir."
