Jounin
There was such an ordinary whim about the air, Maigo about the Land of Lightning running errands and the likes for himself. Such mundane tasks for someone so devoted to apathy and conserving energy, but his goal was in search of same rarer herbs near the coast and the border of the land. It didn't mean much to him, but finding himself in a small town outside the land after having traveled about for a while, he was finding himself forgetting the reason for actually needing or wanting them. It was curious that his mind wandered so freely and his body so craved for apathy. It was a cool afternoon, winter was coming near the land itself so the temperature dropped off, the days were getting shorter and the trees had long since lost their leaves.

Maigo was wandering about a crudely paven roadway, passing a random tea house near the border, a decent rest stop just a few miles from his location, a small town right on the border that was cultivated by a few hundred people at best, mostly farmers taking advantage of the climate and transitional nature of the land. Maigo though, walked forward with the ground crunching at every step and his gear clanking about, looking more like a heavily armored mercenary than a traveler. Black sandals and black pants were the more mundane, on his right thigh he had two kunai holsters for him to grab quickly and two pouches around his waist with all his extra gear tied towards his back with old katana running along waist and pointed down. None of that mattered much though, it was all mostly covered by a grey cloak that hide his normal green vest and brown belt and kept him mostly mysterious with his hood up. Just enough vision for himself to see and on his back, his backpack with some extra clothes and goods, along with his larger shuriken there too.

Of course, the only thing he'd been fighting with lately was his Shoge and it's attachments also found in one of his pouches. Truthfully, it wasn't that he was planning on picking a fight but with Kumogakure ANBU and the other clans not too happy from Kirigakure's recent invasion, it was dangerous for a Kiri ninja to roam about freely and without consequence. The key reason he'd all but forsaken his headband in his time there, leaving it in his pouch too. It was a strange pull, to deny wearing it but wanting to keep it on his person at all times all the same. It wouldn't make a difference, a strange weaponized wanderer or an enemy of the state, most ninja would take a pull at some random person hooded around, the definition of concerning for those whom he might run across.

The road itself winded through a dense forest, the sun was near its set and burned light around him and cast the shadow of the brush, trees, and all else in random patterns around him. The birds and various crickets, all other nature of insects and sounds of nature filled the air around him in addition and the running water of a nearby creak that would turn off down the road and help feed a major river turned delta after a few miles into the ocean. Maigo found himself so near the coast but he was tired again, reaching to his backpack and grabbing the bottle at his backpacks side, he turned off the road for a brief moment and turned to the creek while lowering his hood behind his head.

Reaching down to the water and letting his hand sit in the stream for a brief moment, feeling its icy chill for a moment before dipping the top of his bottle in and letting it fill. Knelt down he capped off the bottle and dunked both hands in, splashing the cold water against his face and shaking a bit to wake himself up. He'd been wandering around for long enough, perhaps he should take more of a break. He paused and stood up, the weight of his pack became apparent and his back ached for a second as he placed his bottle back and then stretched.

The decision was final then! He would take a break, rest a minute, let his feet recover before he would further condition himself in the droll that was continuing to walk across the land. Making his way to a tree that was not too far off, the rocks that lined the bank of the stream fanned away into dirt and a forest. On the other side of the stream was a small rock cliff, white and grey stone like the rocks and pebbles all around it. Maigo took his back pack off and stuck his right leg through it, knowing that if someone tried to grab it while he was resting, it would alert him with the yank of his leg. With the back pack rested against his extended leg, he would lean back against the tree and close his eyes, lifting up another knee and zoning out in a quiet meditation. Not truly asleep and just letting his hearing focus in on the sounds around him, odds are that he would fall asleep soon enough, but everything in his conscious trying to prevent that from coming to. Instead, he would just meditate and relax, just focus on breathing and letting his muscles enjoy the calm reduction of labor for just a while.

Burittsu

Finally entering the land Burittsu was on his toes more than he was tired his eyes studied the very area all underneath his mask and Anbu armor his blue hair danced in a calm breeze as the area around him seemed quiet enough. Indeed this was a forest one of clean smell and silence one he was not used to having but every village had their secrets this forest could be used for much more than a simple training mission. Looking around the area carefully as each step he took he felt as if he was walking deeper and deeper into a trap but no one seemed to pop out of the bushes or underneath the earth in order to take him out. Indeed he felt their presence the forest of such shinobi he came to this land only on a peaceful motive due to the fact his travels were not yet completed he still needed to venture out and see the world eventually.

Walking through the forest on this quiet silent path he could only imagine to whatever animal that was watching him would assume he was a giant predator due to his face mask being that of a dog with a smile on its face and ears pointed up ready to pick up on anything that moved in the distance. He sported his black gloves on both of his hands which were now curled into a ball of anger and hate he was ready to avenge himself but he could only feel his brain throbbing in pain at such a horrible plan well for now anyways. The boy was not ready for such action and he knew that deep down inside as he continued to walk this silent path he only began to listen out to nature for anything that could help him.

Remaining still for a second as the soft breeze came to a holt the sound of running water carried the air a stream was near but it guided Burittsu off the path into the forest itself it was that or remain with a dry mouth till he found some other source of liquid to kill his quench. Looking around the area for a little before making his choice he quickly stepped off the path and began his journey towards the stream feeling the rays of the sun cut through the branches and leaves of the trees touching his brown skin. It was warm but something he grew accustomed to being out in the forest of his own village for so long from misty to even clear days he felt the rays of the sun and could only adept like a true shinobi should under the condition. The closer he got to the sound of the rushing water the faster his legs moved cutting through the forest and in turn he nearly forgotten where he was at how deep in enemy lines he actually ventured in just to get some water was he foolish most would say no but if anything did occur it would be his own fault from this point on.

The lust for the stream and the water itself grew it didn’t matter to him if it ended up being warm water he was able to cool it in an instant as if he was god himself he almost felt like a child again rushing through the forest. Searching for a brand new adventure as he could now see the stream it seemed the life of the forest quickly began to split apart leaving a large opening with a few scattered trees close to the stream itself. A cool refreshing feel of fresh air hit the shinobi a refreshing feeling that was never felt before something like that was indeed interesting as he looked around for some sort of life but nothing was to be seen. Such a forest as this with no signs of creatures it was indeed weird but even so he wasn’t here to wonder why he was only here on a quick stop and to get on with his business and search for a way to become stronger so that one day he could stand on his two feet himself and avenge whatever was burning in his heart.

Rushing to the stream as the closer he got he could spot how clean and soothing it was carrying down the path to wherever it was going freely and without a care in the world falling on his knees as he slid his mask to the side of his head. He revealed his face to the forest feeling the cool touch on his skin if this was what the afterlife could feel like he would have no quarrels about his dying anytime plunging his face into the stream as he took in the vast current pushing on his face he only stuck his head deeper in cooling off all the way down to his neck. The water was clear as he could see everything moving from underneath the surface it was indeed calm and relaxing pulling out his head as he took a deep breath and the water itself began to slide down his neck bathing his back in the miracle that he found in the forest. The cool touch of the stream only made him enjoy every aspect and moment that was happening around him gazing around without a care in the world and even smiling. Quickly plunging his face back into the water taking a large gulp of water he quickly stood up feeling his thirst for the water leave his system. Everything was going fine well that is until he turned his back to the stream to gaze at the few scattered trees only to find out that he was not alone a man upon a tree with a bag quickly sliding his mask over his face covering his identity once more.

This person with a closer look did look familiar but Burittsu couldn’t take no chances if this was a shinobi he was surely surrounded by the others and unlike his own village they did take prisoners and he was not willing to go back to such a hell. Quickly walking up to the male the right hand of Burittsu quickly transformed being consumed by ice in a thick layer as it molded the fingers themselves into claws. The ice was thick and the cold presence of them was enough to that anyone could feel it crawling on their skin his left hand remained normal but for now if the male didn’t seem to be a shinobi or one even looking for trouble. The closer he got to the body the male did look familiar but he couldn’t take any chances one slip up would mean his death and his training and practice would be all for nothing. Using his left to grab onto the bag he quickly yanked it outwards on purpose to get the attention of the male forcing him to pay close attention to the young boy. Quickly pointing his claws out towards the man about two inches away from touching his skin and causing causing the case of frostbite. Burittsu only began to start tugging away at his bag he could only wonder if this man was following him from the start and simply placed himself here as a traveler to throw him off.

“Wake up. I have questions that need to be answered and you and I seem to be the only one’s out here. So who are you? Why are you here? Tell me why I shouldn’t kill you where you sit right now.”

Santaku Nariko

Genin
Kumogakure had been a most surreal experience so far - she barely remembered anything of it. The people were generally of the sort to reply briefly, keeping strangers under a suspicious eyes and keeping business to a minimum. She found it an odd sort of behaviour to live by, but her ryo seemed as welcome as in any other place. After she had stayed in the orphanage of Madame Selene for a few days - the woman was rather persistent in keeping her around until she was certain, double underlined and bolded, that she was fully cured of whatever she had eaten. It seemed Nariko had suffered some hallucinogenic toxin by eating the wrong things in the forest, which she could only blame on the 'Mass Murderer of Kiri Forest' or whatever the voice-mimic's name exactly was.

Knowing that she was in Kumogakure while she actually had to be in Konohagakure, to which Masked Moron was supposed to guide her, she guessed there was little else to do here currently. She assumed that going for a stroll a little outside the Village might do her good. Perhaps there was a bunch of peasants to terrorise, or a village to spook, or she could just wander to the sea and gaze out at the horizon to see what the future would bring. Whichever it was, any plan sounded better than staying in a place filled with shinobi, grumpy folks and no immediate means to cause havoc. In fact, she felt a little listless after the mushroom incident, as if nothing truly mattered - a familiar mood that had washed over her before.

In a way, she missed it to have her wings unsealed, picking up the subtle differences in the wind no matter how faint it blew. But she had no fuinjutsu at her disposal, and there were no Niitah or Seven Songs that could help her out with that either. She'd play some flute instead, but she suffered from, well, not having a flute with her in the first place. She must have lost hers in the forest somewhere either while running at night or not really knowing what she was doing. So instead, she strolled along a dirt road that meandered through random stone formations, flocks of huddled up trees and even crossed a small river with clear water. Nariko halted a moment, cupping some of the water to quench her thirst, and as she had done that, she kneeled, arms folded around her knees to watch the water's flow in silence for a while.

The mumble of the river had something soothing, as if it was whispering enticing secrets of life and youth itself, but her reflection was a distorted heap of colours that showed little of meaning. With a frown and the beginnings of a pout, Nariko stood back up and moved on along the trail she had been following so far. She hadn't found a new muse just yet, but thoughts about what she had to do now that she had left her clan trickled in. She couldn't bring discord with some sort of a back-up plan. Preferably one that had good food, a bed and some tools for the job. Actually, a hideout was what she needed. Maybe her own Village of discordians. Nariko grinned at the thought. It wasn't that the idea was impossible but ... it was somewhat impossible.

At some turn in the road, Nariko saw two people in the distance. One was a sleeping weirdo had placed himself against a nearby tree, and the other guy seemingly tried to steal his backpack. Strange enough, he didn't really look quite the sort to be considered a brigand or even a thief, and Nariko found the area, though remote, a bit of an odd place to start harassing people. Not that it mattered much where, why or how a thief stole someone else's possessions. Yet, the thief seemed to have given up on stealing the backpack, suddenly just standing there. Seemingly bereft of a potential game of chaos, Nariko strolled further, eyes resting still on the two with false hopes something still would happen.

Maigo's daze was kept calm among the cool breeze that washed over him from time to time, he was still awake but hardly, not meditating and not thinking just... existing. For a brief moment in time, a bird chirping low overhead as it landed on the branch above him and played out its song, Maigo's ears picked that up and all the world around him as he was focused in, the various sounds of brush and the forest, the animals contained within and their calls and communication, and the washing over the creek just in front of him as it poured out seemingly endlessly and washed the stones of its bank and interior. Some time passed, he didn't care how long exactly but not enough for the sun to begin its true sunset and Maigo shifted a bit, having slumped further down the tree he leaned back up against and regained his composure. His eyes having remained closed all the while.

Some distance off he caught footsteps, probably someone traveling along the road, cut off and descend towards the bank of the water before stopping before it, probably diving into the water just like Maigo himself had. Maigo kept his eyes closed and relaxed again, a wandering traveler was no concern of his, they probably hadn't even noticed him. He hoped that it would stay that way and reached his left arm behind his back and letting it rest in the flap of his pouch, sliding a single finger through the ring of a kunai. His focus, however, turned around elsewhere around him, really to nowhere in particular as he focused in on himself again. Falling back to that meditative state for a moment.

His right arm lay in his lap and his left leg was bent at the knee and held up, his bag around his right leg as it had been before, his leg through the strap still. That was where things changed, a slight chill moved through the air but he brushed it off and focused instead on the grab of his bag and pull of his leg. Immediate annoyance.

Maigo's eyes crawled open as the cold got more intense, sending goosebumps across the surface of his skin as the stranger pulled against his bag more. There were... so many concerns with the picture, Maigo's eyes snapped open and his golden orbs pierced through to the masked man with disdain. The Kirigakure ANBU gear too, he was a long ways from home here...

All Maigo could focus on was the pulling against his bag, having dragged it down to the edge of his ankle and nearly off as he spoke up, Maigo's face showing his clear disdain of the situation. No. It wasn't disdain, it was annoyance bordering on a frustrated anger but he remained quiet for the moment. His left hand still behind his back as he glanced down at those claws pointed at his chest. Ice... the kekkai genkai of the Mizukage was in front of him, Maigo was thinking ahead, the part of him that carried his anger was dragged forward and replaced the persona of himself that would have made a joke or tried to talk out of this. No, he was far more angered than he should have been, his sleep interrupted and this masked man pulling away at his back. That deep rage was building inside him, tearing at him on how to respond.

Immediately his reaction was to push a certain jutsu to his hand, clash it against his claws and see which would hold out better. Maigo knew the power of that ice though, his own lightning would crush it but still the rage hadn't seeped fully to the surface yet. He was still in control of his own mentality, he'd behave for now. Leaving his left hand behind his back he raised his right hand up slowly, in response to the mans words. Holding it up empty with his palm flat as if it were holding a tray outright.

"I'll answer your questions, but if you don't stop all this, I'll kill you myself." Maigo would pause for a moment with harsher eyes than before, meaning towards grabbing his bag and keeping his claws pinned on Maigo, not that they would be a real problem but they could be. They weren't his real concern at the moment outside the chill the ice was giving off.

Not wasting hardly anytime, Maigo would continue on to address his questions, rather, he'd turn focus to the last one, "And as for why you shouldn't kill me..." he'd pause and shift his grip on his kunai to grab the headband in his pouch, sliding it out slowly and holding the logo and the metal plate facing towards the ANBU so that the symbol of their mutual village could be shown. "I always knew Kirigakure had a problem with people killing comrades, I just never thought someone would try to kill me during my nap." he ended off with a smirk, remaining in control of his rage, as long as the man would leave his annoying behavior behind for the briefest moment. If not, well, there wouldn't be many words passed between the two of them to start.

"Now, ANBU, you're a long way from home so I'm more inclined to ask what you're doing here. Is Lady Mizukage planning another attack on the village, or just scoping out the area?" Maigo's eyes focused back in, the real curiousity about a lone ANBU member found all the way out here and attacking strangers. It seemed like more of the brutality of Kirigakure at work, but it didn't feel like an attack. Attacking random people outside the village is a sure way to give up the element of surprise, no... this had to be more routine work or something else entirely.

Burittsu

avatar

Indeed he seemed familiar looking down at this man who was now looking up at Burittsu his face was one he has not seen in ages someone who he thought just vanished his look was filled up with rage. It had seem that he knew this man he looked familiar and the tone of his voice was that he could never forget such a serious tone for someone who was easily caught off guard probably he was indeed a shinobi waiting to get intel. Before he could do anything he needed his questions answered before committing the final judgement act on this soul who seemed to be looking for information himself. With his eyes now starting through the mask of Burittsu it all made sense the very first Uchiha he ever saw in his life just suddenly disappearing never to be seen again. In this case Burittsu thought he died in battle or something tragic occurs and forced him to retire from being a shinobi but here he was in front of him. It was him and he was sure about it without a doubt in his mind.

"I'll answer your questions, but if you don't stop all this, I'll kill you myself."
"And as for why you shouldn't kill me..."

Well indeed it was nice to apply himself with another voice underneath his mask but what he showed him next was the deal breaker and by that it meant his feeling about this man was correct. With him revealing his headband to him it was true he was is the Uchiha but that meant this was possibly a trap one to stop Burittsu in his tracks he possibly knew that Burittsu was coming but there was no doubt he allowed the man to get this close on purpose. There was no doubt about it now a ninja of his class allowing Burittsu himself even if he had worked on his skills and abilities there was no way he caught up to be on par with such a shinobi. His words were true in a fact if Burittsu did not tread carefully he could possibly end up dead before seeing the world and the fall of those who truly deserve the pain that he has been carrying on his shoulders. He continued to look at the insignia on the headband and the only thing he could think of was a village who didn’t care simply of what happen to its people something that indeed needed a brutal changing all the villages did in each way they carried their own secrets.

"I always knew Kirigakure had a problem with people killing comrades, I just never thought someone would try to kill me during my nap."

"Now, ANBU, you're a long way from home so I'm more inclined to ask what you're doing here. Is Lady Mizukage planning another attack on the village, or just scoping out the area?"

He ended off with a smirk around the first time but now his eyes were locked in he could feel the gaze of such a monster who was in front of him but none could compare to Sero himself that indeed was the true monster. Looking at the man who only thought of the Mizukage and her plan he did ask a lot of questions for someone he recalled being the silent but deadly type probably it was only a persona he put on before. But Burittsu could see it being out of the village did something to him he seemed different on a different level mentally was he happier or did he end up finding someone to fit his needs till he dies. It’s been awhile so in his thoughts it would be best to try to calm his nerves if this man wanted to capture Burittsu it would have been attempted long ago before he even noticed him against the tree. Pulling his hand away from his chest as his hand reverted back to its normal state he took a step back it was only them two as he cleared his throat he might as well have some fun seeing as he picked up enough of the man’s voice. Just like the rest the mask did its job picking up the voice allowing him disguise his own voice until the time came to take off the mask or he simply disrupted the pattern it picked up on enough of his voice to give a good imitation masking his real voice with that of his seemed ideal enough until he got bored. The voice that would come from behind the mask was clearly altered to be that of the Uchiha’s but the true nature was to why would he play such games with man that promised him certain death. Burittsu just simply loved the thrill of fighting no matter how much pain it would cause him or even the fact that his life was in danger he couldn’t help himself anymore he was addicted.

“My the Uchiha and here I thought you died or simply retired from being a shinobi let me answer your question for you and whatever it is you’re currently thinking of in that head. No I am here on my own will the Mizukage herself did not send me I’m here to scout out the land and hopefully the village. If I can other than that I shall be on my way to my next adventure now I know you don’t recall me it’s been far too long but it’s good to see the fire in those eyes the burning will to live.. Now you’re probably wondering who am I well you see i’m just a man who wants to see justice and vengeance finally brought upon those who deserve it.”

Looking at the body of the man he was ready for anything that he might be able to do indeed he was an Uchiha and his skills were barley shown on the field but the stories to this day still could be true. The story of their eyes and how powerful they were that they can trap one inside their body for what seems like years without end but on the outside it’s only been a second or even a minute. They could cripple one mentally and physically if given the chance one he could not risk but he was tempted to look the man straight into the eyes proving to him he does not fear those eyes. Exactly the same eyes the other Uchiha had at the manor soon to grow in power probably passing up this Uchiha that present in front of him. Still eyes or no eyes the Uchiha were a threat regardless their skills were exceptional and their burning blood that coursed through their veins made it all the better to enjoy a fight. With the voice of the Uchiha he could only respond in order to aggravate him this wasn’t a fight to the death but one to prove himself to see if he truly grown into a splendid shinobi.

“Stand up Uchiha this is a spar if you win I reveal myself to you and answer any questions that you may have on your mind. If I win I shall continue to go on with my way but when the day comes you must leave this post and dessert that village that you seem so fond of carrying around in your back pocket in reality they probably already forgot about your existence.”

As expected, little happened. The two of them had some sort of a fall-out, but nothing worth noting. They were probably friends or rivals rather than a bandit robbing a poor, sleeping man. They seemed to chat away the day, but they were too far away for Nariko to listen in to. And besides, she cared little for such boring conversation anyway. Averting her eyes and focusing them back on the path ahead, the road would bring her closer to the pair in time to about a 10 meters distance, give or take. Until she reached that point, there was little reason for the genin to care for the lover's squabble this all seemed to be.

When the path lead her to the duo, Nariko eyed the two of them briefly with disinterest at first. But then, there was that mask. The same mask she had seen in the brief illumination of her raiton when she was stuck in the dead men's pit, dug in the middle of Kiri Forest by some weirdo. For a moment, she felt her heart jump, but she wasn't quite sure if it was in fear, out of anticipation to experience another of those thrilling terrors or simply anger for not following up to his word and bringing her to Konohagakure. Whichever of the three it was, Nariko had made her decision. Even if it wasn't Mass Murderer of Kiri Forest, the spark of discord was lighted. Right or wrong, she'd soon know if it was him or not.

Taking out a shuriken from her tool pouch, she flung it with all her might towards Burittsu more so in an attempt to catch his attention than with real killing intent. Assuming the masked man was the same as the one that had left her behind in the forest, she expected him to dodge or catch it but if he ended up wounded by it, she wouldn't care either way. It wasn't as if her shuriken was poisoned, so he'd survive. Probably.

Not waiting for a reaction, she left the road to walk her way towards him at fastened pace, glaring eyes pinned on Burittsu and preparing her hand to slap that stupid mask of his face in true feminine wrath style - a faith he had more than deserved, if only for discord's sake.

"You... bastard!", Nariko cried out as she came within melee distance, completely ignoring the stranger next to her, and swinging the back of her hand towards his mask covered cheek. "You were supposed to bring me to Konohagakure, you worthless piece of masquerade!" Continuing her tirade, she suddenly felt the need to drag the stranger at her side into the story, as if he mattered the world to her just now, "What's next? You're going to copy his voice, dig another hole and dump that beggar in it for your joy? What sort of ANBU are you anyway?"

Not that she knew the ANBU had already copied the wanderer's voice. She hadn't exactly heard them speak clearly, and she didn't even know what his real voice was anyway. She merely based it on the little experienced meeting she had with him.

Maigo was more relaxed but further annoyed in the same breath, the stranger in front of him had stopped his incessant bag-pulling but copied Maigo's voice. Maigo slowly began to tighten the headband around his head as he spoke, letting his hair rest over the top of the metal plate while he continued on. Really, it was... a petty trick, like a game from a child. To Maigo, it was nothing more than mocking him and his words, but what intrigued him equally as much, or clarified to intrigued him not at all, was the reason for this stranger being here. No directive from the Mizukage and he was here for his own revenge, an internal sigh would have rang about from Maigo, knowing the path too well and how futile it was. ANBU or not, whatever strength his ice could provide him, there were always bigger fish out there, people who could and would prevent it, and at the end, when his own revenge was realized, would he be the same?

Truthfully, Maigo couldn't care any about that, a stranger running about of his own accord was no concern and the personal affairs of others was just that. Not his own. No, he continued on as Maigo's fist would continue to clench, not at any words he said, or at his goal or even his offer to spar. That word he kept using... Uchiha... Maigo was no Uchiha. That was a name carried by heathens in dark places who prided themselves too much on their own abilities, his teeth would grit as he would stand up slowly, grabbing his bag from his leg in the same motion and holding it. Holding it down in his free right hand so that it hung just off the ground and grabbing his cloak with his left hand between his collarbone as he finished his speech.

"I don't care if the village forgot about me, I don't care if I ever return. And I don't care to find out who you are, if I wanted to know, I could rip it from your mind with ease." Maigo's teeth gritted a bit more, he was annoyed as he tightened his grip on the bag and pulled his cloak off in one motion with his left hand, letting the button at his collarbone snap away and freely tear off.

"But know this, I am no simple Uchiha. If you fight me, put your headband on. This isn't some simple enemy of another nation, we're comrades of Kirigakure. You know as well as I that no spar is a simple spar, our kind kill in the shadows and fight in the open... put it on and we'll fight." Maigo let his cloak drop and left him in his green vest and brown belt, the rest of his pouches and holsters at his thigh readily visible. Bringing his arm up and sliding his right arm through first to put the back pack up he paused, the sound of whirring through the air.

Maigo blinked and quickly turned his head to the right as a shuriken would approach the stranger directly and slapping him, continuing on a rant and dragging Maigo into it. Maigo did nothing, only curiously blinking and having taken a step back, watched curiously. The words that mostly caught his attention was the word, 'Beggar', which... he didn't look that bad? Taking a glance down himself and taking in note. He shook his head and shrugged it off internally though, it seems a more interesting situation had come up for him.

If Maigo could find a break, he would interject in her anger and try to comment up one last time, "You have a choice Stranger..." looking towards the woman who was angrily berating him and their soon to be spar. Wondering if he would choose to deal with her now or if his chance at battle would drive him along further?

Burittsu

Gazing at the man as he now stood up proud and on his feet it seemed that Burittsu hit his nerve well enough to cause a battle that he surely wanted to test to out the man did have pride not caring if the village wondered about him. Such honor it was to have finally found a man who was worth his time indeed taking his voice was just mere child’s play but the fun was in the mystery of it all. Watching him brag on about not being a mere Uchiha and how he could have easily pried the identity of Burittsu in an instant made it seem that he now possessed more power than he had since they previously met. The shinobi of the village of the mist were indeed dangerous even when it came to sparring they did more than throw some weapons around and smile at the end like others would do. This was simple test of how much did he grow over his time as a shinobi this battle wasn’t a mere bet to be placed he was ready for whatever outcome was possible even if it was a loss. Least it would be from one who he actually known at least a little bit but in fact the Uchiha was different from before something about him peaked a high interest in Burittsu.

Everything was about to go as plan between the two before an object caught his eye quickly lifting up his right hand catching the object it appeared to be a shuriken following the projectile a body was also thrown in the direction of these two. A body a familiar voice to go with it and here he actually forgotten about the girl in hopes she found her way to this location on accident or maybe she was smarter then she led on to believe. The words that came out of her mouth was the answer that he had received she was just a child one that needed to be discipline from time to time. Looking down at the girl and looking up at the shinobi it seemed that he was once again at a fork in the road of life tend to the need of such a girl or handle his business and test his strength. In a split instant his mind was made up flicking his wrist sending the shuriken spiraling towards the girls right thigh in an attempt to put her down in a clean fashion without actually killing her.

That itself was the hard part but he had no time to play with the girl or even tend to her needs he was only bringing her as a bargain if anything else unexpected happen looking back at the man he only accepted his request digging underneath his armor and revealing to the man his own headband. Casted with the same insignia as his own the battle would be honorable nothing more nothing less not even a cheap trick here or there. Placing his hand on his mask as he removed it from his face his cold blue eyes only pierced through the darkness behind the mask throwing the mask into the air as it got caught on a stray branch hanging above their heads like a mistletoe. Looking at the man indeed it had been sometime since he even felt the thrill of battle not since Sero and maybe even his attempt to split the bond between him and Teru.

The thrill of the fight only boiled in his veins as his hand that wielded his headband began to shake this was the last time he would see someone he knew on the outside he couldn’t hold back his grin. From the inside he was indeed scared not knowing what will the future actually be like for a shinobi like him one on the path of revenge all because of a little dispute between the villages Kage’s. Gripping his headband tightly as he even decided to look at only to see the pain and anguish that he went through over the years it did hurt him more than any kunai or jutsu could ever do. Flipping over his headband as he placed it on his forehead it felt weird ever since he was given this accessory he never put it on only carried it around on himself at all times. Well it was a first for everything these days he wasn’t only fighting for himself but others around the world that have been beaten down for no reason at all not just them.

But he did hope to fix the village one day a village that allows its members to be killed by another member inside the their own territory everything didn’t make sense to him as he tied down his headband he only looked at the male across from him for a brief moment. He was quiet he had nothing to say anymore the communication would be felt through his fist and actions but now maybe he understood why he didn’t care if the village forgot about him. The world was a messed up placed indeed and those that lead the villages are even worse but for now there was nothing that he could do by himself but maybe someone out there could wherever they were he would find them. He quickly stood up straight and tall bowing halfway to the male in signs of respect but even he knew this battle would be quick all he could do was give it his all and pick up whatever he could learn from the man. Taking in a deep breath as he raised his body back to full position he quickly placed his right leg out before him and held his arms mid way in front of him. Burittsu was ready and his resolve was to be met but at the end of this match would he still be the same shinobi after exchanging blows with such a shinobi.

Santaku Nariko

Genin
As if she didn't exist, the ANBU completely ignored her, throwing the shuriken back in a similar annoyed fashion like one would swat away a fly. Since the two were standing rather close, Nariko had barely seen the projectile being thrown, only feeling its vicious sting as it dug itself into her thigh and stopped her mid track. She blinked her eyes, looking at the shuriken and could see blood trickle down her leg, a tear in her skirt revealing the wound. Biting her lip with a frown, the genin pulled out the shuriken. Though the pain was strong enough to keep her paralysed for a moment, her eyes held a hint of intrigue as she eyed the red substance on the shuriken. The wound wasn't too deep as the shuriken hadn't exactly been of the best quality, but the cold seeping in to fill the place of blood as its warmth slowly seeped away was a strange experience. Then came the unbearable pain of an open wound as her body decided to pull the alarm bell.

Nariko chuckled, the colour in her face paling a little as her body was taking the energy from her pretty face to work the wound instead. She couldn't remember to have been wounded like this. Sure, she had her fair share of bruises during training, but because her father swung his reputation and money around like a pompous ass, most people had refrained from wounding her as they favoured a loss above a reprisal of her father's arrogance. A real bore, really, but partially she was to be blamed for that as she had been abusing that reputation just as much to get whatever she wanted. With her fleeing her clan, however, all of that had changed. It had been her own choice to forget all she had and was supposed to be. All in favour to tear down the mundane and break the norm - this wound certainly broken the norm she knew.

As she thoughtfully sucked upon the tip of her shuriken, tasting her own blood and finding it lacking in any decent taste, she eyed the two guys in front of her that had decided to ignore her. How typical of guys to measure their ego with one another, just to see who was the proudest rooster, while ignoring the burning world around them. Then, with equal pride, they decided wearing the forehead protector would be a most important rule while they aimed to kill each other - Kiri-nin, the both of them, and perhaps the only thing she was familiar with herself. One jerk of an kiri-ANBU and... what was the other one anyway? A shinobi on a mission? A missing-nin? Or was he only here on a vacation? Whichever it was, Nariko was sure she'd figure it out somehow, if it was of any matter at all.

What did pique her interest about the stranger, which she might have unjustly called a beggar now that she eyed his cloths somewhat and concluded they weren't that shabby for a commoner, was that he bragged about how he could pry lose crucial information such as the identity of an ANBU through his mind. Did that mean he was a genjutsu user? And he was no 'simple Uchiha' either. Not that she was impressed with all the flaunting, but if he was an Uchiha he had a doujutsu. And if he had a doujutsu, there was potential for inspiration to her own genjutsu. After all, she had a few tricks she wanted to try out, and facing a doujutsu user was just what she needed.

But first, she'd have to work on that wound. By now, the blood had coloured half her leg red, had stopped bleeding and was drying up. She'd still have to treat the wound, but since she had little knowledge of healing she took a strip of bandage from her tool pouch and used that to bind off the wound. It looked silly in her eyes, to have a white bandage under her new skirt, but such was the discomfort she had to bear once more. That ANBU owed her, big time, and she knew how he could start repaying his debt.

Facing the Uchiha, she replied to an unasked question, "You will find me siding with the ANBU in this spar as I try out a few techniques of my own. It's the least the Masked Moron owes me for leaving me, an ally of Kirigakure, behind. Since you are no simple Uchiha, as you stated, I'm sure you'll be fine handling some distraction while fighting an ANBU." It was hardly a question or even something to be discussed. In true Himura style, she had made her decision and others would have to abide by her will. The girl was curious if all the bravura of this Uchiha was just that, or if he'd really have the audacity to handle a disadvantage of sorts. "Oh, and do make use of that doujutsu of yours, will you? It'd be an anticlimactic experience otherwise."

She didn't care if she won or lost as long as she lived on to remember the experience. She wanted to see what it did, to imprint the appearance of an Uchiha doujutsu in her mind and perhaps, in time as she faced different doujutsu users, craft her own 'Thousand Eyes' jutsu with it - whatever that technique would end up becoming. And if that experience came with fear, terror, pain or excitement that'd make it all the better.

Maigo

Jounin
Maigo blinked as the ANBU caught the shuriken, show off... was all that sat in Maigo's mind but what surprised him more was his throwing it back. The shuriken spun around and dug itself into the leg of the girl, Maigo having been far to slow to throw anything to counter act it or stop its trajectory. But... it was a straight shot? She couldn't dodge it or block it away? She was slow to react at the very least... Maigo would have sent that back but it wasn't important. Maigo turned his head back from her quickly towards the ANBU to speak up but before he did, a very familiar face appeared... the mask flew to land on a branch above them and Maigo's golden eyes came to rest on his true face, one he'd known in the village.

A bit aged, it had certainly been a long time, Maigo smirked as he tied his headband on, that kid from all those missions. Become ANBU and ran off to the Land of Lightning for his own revenge. He was really becoming one to embody that damned village of theirs. He was preparing himself, Maigo felt the surge of energy in the air, tingling as their chakra would begin to spike up, the feeling of cold ran over Maigo's body. He could feel those ice claws reverberating around again, the ice chakra was dangerous and the person he'd known from before on those missions, already focused and hardened back then had entered into Kirigakure's ANBU and aged. He would be different, Maigo knew what that force would do to the people who joined, far worse and far more damming than the other ANBU forces. Their blood lust and power was unmatched by other villages, the kekkai genkai and the extreme duty that Kirigakure produced wasn't a joke by any means.

The girl in the meantime had cleaned up her leg, the blood having moved down, Maigo's yellow eyes flickered there as she spoke up. Taking his side of things after he'd just planted a shuriken into her thigh? What a weird girl... the only thought running in Maigo's mind as he blinked for a moment. She continued on and moved towards... taunting him? Maigo sighed and gritted his teeth in response at first, his eyes moving back between the two in a calculated fashion he would raise his right hand in a half tiger seal as he breathed out, letting vary minute bits of his chakra flare up in the air around him. The static of it would tingle around, they'd feel it if they wanted to, were perceptive enough. The charge of it was electrifying, the tinge left a sharp taste in the air, not quite bitter enough to turn one's face in disgust but enough to question its affinity.

Though, that would be nothing, the very nature of Maigo's chakra could be embodied as so many within Kirigakure's could. Sero's chakra was often seen dark and black, like a void one could peer into and find nothing expanding across into infinity. A paradox in statement but coming face to face with him, it was so fitting a description of his chakra. And Lady Ayakashi could be summated to have a deep blue chakra, cold and icy like her own powers, and calculated in every form. Tingling out power like none could imagine or weather outwards. But Maigo, he embodied a more emotional chakra, his was bright red, burning and flaring in rage, the very rage that burned within him. It was wild and untamed, would lash outwards and fill the gaps of space in defiance. It was like looking a bull in the eyes and feeling the hot air from its nostrils as horns aimed down upon you and angry eyes would pierce through a soul. And his eyes, his eyes were meant to do just that.

"Fine then, but know that you're wrong, this is no spar..." Maigo spoke and jumped back to a space between two trees that left a space of about five meters between himself and Burittsu. The tree that he had been rested against was a meter to the left of Burittsu himself and a few others scattered with the river a further ten meters behind Burittsu. Burittsu had sat at the ready for a moment before Maigo had jumped further thinking on it, he'd never used a weapon on their missions and didn't draw one even now? He was different than the rest of their village for sure, Maigo would speak up and his right hand would fall from the half tiger sign, the only bit of respect he would muster before that raged chakra would begin to overtake him. "Kirigakure produces excellent weapon users, you should know that... take note of the art behind it." Maigo would speak and would draw his Shoge from the pouch, ten meters of wire coiled up against a metal ring, he would draw it out and let the shoge sit in his right hand and the ring including the extra wire into his left to be pulled and uncoiled as need.

His eyes would turn to the girl, she had already taken things lightly entering into this injured and calling it a spar. Maigo knew that his former comrade would know the terms of their duel, what it meant for them and how intense it grow so easily, "Take care, this blade isn't like a shuriken, if it hits you, you will die..." he ended with a blank face and held the knife out before rotating it quickly in his hand, the wire staying lose and the knife tied to it tightly by the end of his razor wire. With the knife pointed forwards, he would crouch into his own readied stance, imitating the boy from before and leaving the first move to them, his eyes flickering back and forth and ready to activate his sharingan at any second if he needed to.

Burittsu

Everything was falling in place well sort of the female took the pain rather quickly and adapted to the situation as the male in front of him now now knew his true identity he didn’t want her to be his partner. This fight itself would simply be too much people involved he hoped that the girl would stay out of his way but she only continued to talk to the male as if this was some casual fight. Looking across his way back to the man he already drew out his blade and got a stance that fitting for a fight indeed he had no weapons like the Uchiha slipped in before busting out a weapon. All Buritsu could do was simply remain focused on the fight at hand he indeed was trained but the male before him knew what to do before even thinking about it as if he was already prepared for this fight. Him bringing out his weapon only made Burittsu wonder if everyone from the village was a true weapon master but he did not need no simple blade he carried his weapons in plain sight.

His body was his tool and everyday he trained on it making it better, faster and harder his mind came to a close second but this all seemed like an act the man stood ready as this chatter box shinobi now wanted to be on his side. Even after what he did to her well indeed she had it coming but something didn’t feel right it all felt as if this wasn’t suppose to happen. Taking in a deep breath he was already in a situation that he can not avoid indeed the male probably knew his moves but this was the present not the past anything could occur in this fight. Looking down at the black gloves on his hands and looking around in the forest it was only time to begin the fun quickly focusing only on the male that stood in front of him he needed to understand how powerful he grew himself.

Well now it was only time to actually show this Uchiha how far he came himself quickly dashing towards the young shinobi using both his hands he attempted to grab the girl by her clothing and give her a good throw directly at the Uchiha. If this should work it indeed would provide a good cover for Burittsu to begin whatever plan he could come up with indeed the male was out numbered. From the eyes of Burittsu he was one that needed the handicap having some girl who he regret meeting trying to aid him in a fight against an enemy that possess that type of strength whatever he did to her wasn’t his concern. There was no time indeed there was somewhere else he had to be in order to gain his power and sitting and talking about what is to happen will be nothing but a waste of both of their times. Quickly clapping his hands together building up a little bit of his chakra needed to be used swiftly shooting out three bullets made of compressed chakra and air heading towards their target.

Burittsu wasn’t naive he just simply didn’t have time for a partner the faster he could rid of her the better his plan will be without anyone always trying to look over his shoulder. If this all would come to plan the body would provide the perfect distraction to cover up the air bullets if not the girl would simply get cut down and it would only be the two shinobi with nothing but the pride on their shoulders and the burning fire that was in their heart. Even if the two had different ideals and excuses of why they left the village the both of them now they were in enemy territory and by the looks of it the Uchiha himself seemed to enjoy the silence and peaceful ways of it all. Probably on day he would find such a place to relax and condone in his peace until he dies but that future could only come true as long as he continued to put in the necessary work. He only waited to see what the male would do would he cut down the girl or use her as a shield to protect himself from the attack or maybe he would cut her down and jump out the way. Either way from the girl’s point of view if this all were to come to realization how would she defend herself mid-air did she have some skills she was hiding from Burittsu. It all seemed amusing but this was still a fight at the end of the day and this was something that he needed to be positive on doing even if it meant another person had to lose their life so many of his comrades already lost theirs why not another.

To everyone else he was the monster from Kirigakure probably just another one to the world another beast that was taught only how to kill and fight no love or compassion. When in fact the world turn him into this monster that they see all because they were simply afraid of the people that came from the village there was no simple talk. It came down on him like an apple breaking off from a tree branch he was scared and young with no experience in battle only to wake up and bandaged up and laying in a cell. The pain he carried for days in his heart was his burden and with that burning passion he would see the end to the village that the Uchiha took refuge in no one was going to stop him and if someone did he would gladly kill anyone in his way. Even in death he believes that he would die with a smile on his face as long as he completed his task nothing else mattered to him not even the people he used to know.

Name: Wind Release: Air Bullets (Fūton: Kazejuugan ~ 風遁・空気弾丸)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Element: Fūton
Range: 30 metres
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: A technique where the user fires a barrage of condensed bullets of air. The user forms the bird hand seal, condensing their chakra into several pressurised spheres of wind that the user spits out in rapid succession towards the opponent. These air bullets are transparent spheres, and are roughly 4 inches in diameter. When fired, they travel at roughly 10 m/s. Direct impact by one of these spheres will knock the victim back a meter, tear through light clothing and cause 1-inch cuts at the point of contact. If a bullet passes near the target (within 4 inches from the edge of the bullet), it can leave small lacerations (1/4 inch cuts) on any exposed flesh it comes near. Three bullets are created upon activation, which must be fired in rapid succession. Each additional bullet costs -5 chakra each, with a maximum of 6 that can be fired in total within the duration.

Santaku Nariko

Genin
Nariko moved to take a stand next to to Burittsu and watched with wide open eyes as Maigo's chakra pressured the air around him. Static, at first, barely noticeable, but the hairs on Nariko's arms certainly could feel it. Even if she didn't have her wings unsealed, she could feel her own fuuton affinity easily guide it away from herself as such was the nature of her bloodline. When a Santaku was not in flight, raiton was just a a flashy toy in the endless expanse of the skies. The faint but strong smell of burning that came with his chakra, however, was not one she appreciated as much as katon was exactly her KKG's weakness. The question remained if the burning smell came from the raiton's aggressive nature or if the Uchiha had katon within him as well. He sure did seem to have a bewildered impression as he prepared himself for the battle to come, but that could just as much be anticipation. It was hard to tell.

Since he had been so nice to form the half-tiger, Nariko performed the Seal of Confrontation in return. A sign of respect was to be answered with one as well, and though she had not the same control over her aura as the stranger had in front of her, the wind still moment in which she took her time to prepare herself for the spar-but-not-a-spar might have been enough for others to pick up the pastel pink hued aura she briefly revealed. An aura of possibilities, driven by equal parts of innocence, immaturity and transmutational chaos. Even if the aura seemed to hold as still as an absent wind, its pink hues flirty and light-hearted, a hint of an oppressive presence stirred, the soft rumbling thunder heralding a tremendous roar.

Formalities out of the way, the Uchiha hopped back to create some distance and warned them about the weapon mastery of Kirigakure. Nariko tilted her head somewhat, not sure if she had to consider it Village pride or simple narrow-mindedness, as she had heard those same words from a Kumo-nin not too long before. Weapon masters, blade masters... it mattered little to her, who rarely used other weapons than her mind and her chakra. Projectiles and kunai were good for deflections, but that was all of use she had found to it. Perhaps this 'weapon master' in front of her, wielding a wired knife, might show her what weapon mastery was about, as long as she avoided being cut by it - a task that might not be as easy if he was anything akin to Masked Misery's speed. Rather than feeling intimidated, she merely smiled coyly.

"How nice of you to warn me of such impending doom. Don't spoil too much of the fun though, I might think you hate me.", she said chuckling as she took out her own kunai. A simple shinobi tool of which there were to be found thirteen in a dozen or so. She stepped into her own stance, holding her kunai in front of her and ready to deflect incoming throws of whatever projectile. However, unlike what she'd expect, she felt herself suddenly grabbed and thrown at the Uchiha. The last thought that had occurred to her, being approaching that dangerous knife, was exactly the thing that was happening now.

Yet in a sense, 'flying' through the air towards her target felt familiar and comforting. Like the winged creature she was, she just let it happen as she trusted her own body well enough to handle things like flying, falling and being airborne and as such she showed not the slightest of fear as the Uchiha approached at alarming speed. With a few hand seals, she created a clone of herself, now having two Nariko's flying towards the Uchiha. She then took a deep breathe, exhaling a powerful, concentrated stream of fuuton chakra with which she would not only halt her own movement towards the Uchiha, but also boost the speed of her clone by a short 2 meters, making the clone approach faster than anticipated.

The clone, kunai drawn and eager to collide, mostly aimed at toppling over the opponent. If Maigo would simply dodge, it'd land and roll safely as it had Nariko's airborne nature, only to stand back up and pursue its attacks to keep the Uchiha occupied. And if it got dispersed, that was just as fine as it would give Nariko some time to prepare a new jutsu - and unintentionally give Burittsu that same advantage.
Nariko, on the other side, shot backwards by her own jutsu, would create some distance between the two of them by hopping back. Briefly looking back to throw a mad glare at the ANBU, she could see him clap his hands together upon which she decided getting out of the way was probably a better idea. She jumped to the side, leaving a clear sight between him and the Uchiha. From her new place, she'd watch how things unfolded as she wanted to assess how well the weapon master handled the situation and what she could learn about his talents.

The shinobi exhales a powerful, concentrated stream of wind from their mouth. This burst of wind has enough force to accelerate the user's movement mid-air (in the opposite direction of where the stream is directed) or allow them them to rapidly change the direction they're going in by temporarily giving them a short burst of speed at 5 m/s. Beyond this, however, it has several unintended effects. The stream has enough force to knock basic, non-chakra projectiles aside, as well as to make someone hit by it stagger back 2 meters with no additional damage, assuming the caster is 5 metres or less away from the person being hit.

Maigo

Jounin
Maigo was crouched into the ready, his eyes wandering across the field of battle but his sharingan wasn't activated yet, a plan to test their power gradually, to find out if he still outmatched his once comrade or not. The first instance of their movements, Maigo having outright ignored the taunting of the women, the tenacity and sharpness of his glare that searched their surroundings would be his only response and all that he'd care to respond with. He dashed to the girl and placed his hands tightly into her shoulders, they knew each other... that was dangerous for Maigo, making the assumption now that they would be very in-sync with each others abilities. And what's worse was their potential for combination jutsu. Maigo sunk into his toes and felt himself dig into the ground, waiting for whatever plan of attack or jutsu they might prepare to start off with. Maigo had no substitution planned and no real plan of action other than to prepare his own defensive jutsu but it was becoming too late with his weapon in hand.

What came next struck Maigo, as the master (self proclaimed of course) of being able to improvise into battle, he was caught completely off guard as the woman was picked up and throw at him, gaining speed quickly and kunai drawn. The handsign for a clone came about from the girl as Maigo let slack on his shoge in his right hand and began to rotate it quickly like a windmill. Which was the clone was hard to distinguish for Maigo outright but one stopped using a gust of wind and pushed the other one forward, increasing its speed. Maigo began to step to the side and let his arm flick forwards, catching the shoge at a low point in its revolution to cut the version of the girl that would quickly be approaching him. The shoge would cut deeply and cleanly starting at the girls neck and in an awkward twist of direction begin to cut across to her shoulder in its rotation.

Maigo's thoughts ran to how cruel of an attack it might be at first but he did warn her, to take a hit from this weapon would be the end for sure. Still, she played it more conservatively and would let the clone she created engage in close quarters rather than herself, smart for engaging an opponent that held weapons like Maigo but also, a lack of deception and even a tell towards being unconfident in her own abilities. The clone itself would cut and burst forth in a flurry of purple, the grandeur of the bugs surrounding all around him and dissipating in the edge of his vision but clouding everything. It left Maigo vulnerable, his shoge still spinning and cutting through but not ending the butterflies in his vision.

Maigo had lost his control of the situation in the moment, his vision obfuscated by the butterflies, he saw more blocks and shades of movement outside the distance as he looked on to what his opponents were quickly doing. The thought breaking through his mind, wondering how this came about, whether his own righteous anger would be worth it or if he should have just kept to his nap and ignored there shenanigans...

No. He'd been threatened by a fledgling demon of the mist, he seemed bent on himself, he needed the lesson to be burned into his mind by a real monster. A monster of Kirigakure who'd seen death, tasted it, and moved on with defiance, the red rage of his chakra would flicker again as Maigo sunk into his stance and began to make a dash for the tree just to his right but not before one final interruption.

The first one came and plowed into his shoulder, right on top of his own right collarbone, the moment he'd paused to see past the distraction left him caught off guard. The barrage of wind plowed straight to the bone and stopped, ripping through his clothing and his own skin, through the flesh and splitting it up in a small flurry of blood. Maigo's eyes would widen, he'd already made one mistake too many in standing in the same spot, quickly rolling with the knockback of it, he felt the other two, one nearly missing by his midsection and the other streak of wind tearing lightly at the edge of his skin, shredding the edge of the top of his left shoulder. More blood but a cut not nearly as bad as the one that had burrowed into his chest.

Sliding back into a knee from the attack, Maigo would look back up to his opponents and hold a calm face, blocking out the pain, not allowing even the slightest moment of weakness. Compared to being crucified against the ground and wrapped in chains of acidic water, then tearing his limbs to shreds to escape those confines, this pain was nothing at all. His left hand held the ring but more slack had been allowed in his loose grip, his shoge laid on the ground just a few feet in front of him as his eyes glared over it. He had to find one more trick up his sleeve before resorting to more extreme measures, knowing they could certainly work together in some sense and far more chaotically than a normal duo. Maigo would rise up slowly from his knee and pull his shoge back towards his right hand and take the knife while twisting his left hand around to wind the slack from the wire back around the ring to stay uniform.

If his two opponents would give him the chance to act first, Maigo would make it simple, even if they didn't, he would give the most devilish smirk that he could before dropping shoge from his right hand and let it dangle just a foot below the ring held in his left, bouncing at the end of the wire briefly, he could easily use it as a deterrent if he needed to. With a final glance, he would step or jump into a direction, making sure that he was set directly and clearly between each of them now, not that it would be a problem but his jutsu would need absolute clarity and direction.

Next, he would pause for a second and breath in heavily before exhaling, his smile having faded as his now free right hand would reach back to his sword with a heavy amount of chakra flowing from his hand to his sword while it was sheathed. For those with chakra sensory or dojutsu, it was the sort of movement and alarm with this amount of chakra that would send them running for some time, in fear of what would come next. His wrist and arm out, the blade sheathed at his right hip, he would quickly rip it out from his sheath and hold it high into the air, pointing arbitrarily over Burittsu's head and making a show of drawing his sword, while at the same time, the chakra within would lash out in every direction for meters, far beyond their range. With this, they would both be trapped by the genjutsu should they witness his show, the illusion set up and their fates sealed, ready to test the prowess and durability of their mindsets easily.

The genjutsu was complex, it controlled the world they perceived, felt, understood, and could make sense of with such perfection that Maigo hadn't found a single person with the prowess to distinguish it's lack of flaws. It would be broken into a few parts, mirroring some things and leaving others truly undisturbed and merely a factor of the illusion. Firstly, after a pause at the top of his arc, Maigo would point his sword sharply downwards and stab it deeply into the ground in front of him, doing so in actuality as well. In the illusion though, along with Maigo's movements, his head would fall and his hair drape over his face lightly, separating from reality in this moment, the false representation of Maigo would raise his head after a brief moment. The very air cracking with a sudden force of chakra that would make their clothing and hair blow, the tingling of the cool wind on their skin to leave goosebumps if they weren't ready for the suffocating nature of that false chakra.

Maigo's eyes would have grown in torment, the skin on his upper face and around his eyes cracking and turning black, like it had decayed, his sharingan seemingly activated (but not actually) and emboldened by his face. It would be all too apparent, like a cursed sage transformation with his sharingan activation. The animals and their sounds would chaotically fill the air as the fake animals would begin to fly away and retreat from the area along with the shockwave and incoming torment. From his blade would begin a cruel game, in a perfect circle and traveling across the ground slowly and with a cruel sizzling noise. The very fabric of life across the ground would decay, killing everything and leaving it in the impression of some darkened hellscape. Instantly, the grass would brown and wither away, the trees that would soon be affected would grey in the progression of the invisible force and crack, some even falling over and becoming the trees of nightmares. Any animal that might have been on the ground would fall over dead and be consumed by the death, decaying rapidly within moments.

As for his two opponents, if they charged forwards, they would be met with the false force of death, getting to watch... feel themselves begin to decay just as rapidly, first at their legs and slowly up their body, the excruciating pain filling their person and leaving them unable to act. Any jutsu they cast, though may continue on unaffected, would seem to fall apart and unravel after crossing the force field of death, shattering in and falling to the ground to further feed death. And their last line was to retreat, should they turn to run, they would be each met by two clones of Maigo himself and his blade.

Though, his clones would serve one simple purpose, to stab each of them cleanly through their stomach, each at an angle, the pain and illusionment of the stab to keep them still where they were as the force would approach them. Each of the clones eyes glowing like the first Maigo's and their faces blackened in the curse as well. From the blades, an inch of death would grow and stop, leaving their skin externally, and the places internally making contact with the blade to feel the sting of that burning death. It was here that their endurance would be tested, whether they were ready to stand up to something truly horrifying, an unescapable fate because of the nature of Maigo's very genjutsu.

This would only be the start to their torment, for they would have quite some time to endure this all, for things to grow worse, but for now, their fate was sealed. In actuality, Maigo's sword would have plunged into the ground and done nothing, he would stand holding the hilt calmly and waiting for any jutsu they might prepare. His eyes trained on them both, waiting to see how their expressions might change and how they might act, finding this the most interesting part of any battle they might face. Ripping away the facades that people would set for themselves and ripping out the true nature of their selves, when faced with fear and a horrifying death, how would they act? Would they find a way to see past his genjutsu if they could? Or would they be merely subject to it, left to endure to its end and try to maintain some semblance of mentality at the end of it. Maigo's genjutsu were no things to play with, having taken the minds of bandits, enemy ninja, and citizens and molded them as he chose, this was his art, his own truth of the world. That the world was nothing more than clay in his hands and jutsu, and his eyes only able to see its real form and value.

260/300 Chakra:

Name: Kanzen Saimin (完全催眠, Complete Hypnosis)
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: S rank
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Element: N/A
Range: 80 meters
Specialty: Genjutsu/Bukijutsu
Duration: 6 posts
Cooldown: 12 posts
Description: Complete Hypnosis controls the five senses with extreme precision to create the perfect illusory world. This jutsu is activated by infusing the users blade with a hefty amount of chakra beforehand, and then drawing their sword after it is infused. The chakra lashes out in all directions for 80 meters and anyone who sees the sword drawn is immediately trapped inside the illusion. Once caught under the hypnosis the victim(s) are stuck at the whim of the user as they actively create an illusion of the surroundings around them (much like in the manner of Tsukuyomi except in real time). It is put one way that the user could make a dragon out of a fly and a field of flowers out of a swamp in the eyes of the hypnotized.

The jutsu itself cost 30 chakra to cast and an additional 10 chakra for each person beyond the first. Given its incredibly accurate transformation of the world around them, it would take someone of SS-1 perception or higher to notice the flaws in the illusion. Additionally, the technique can be broken by Genjutsu: Kai of the appropriate rank or by the pain of an S rank strike against themselves or landing a hit from an S rank jutsu on the caster.

He watched his former comrade fall under a simple impression of the distraction that was set by the young girl this only made him wonder if he truly fallen or was he just simply testing the two. In high hopes Burittsu wanted to see the fight fully begin to start he needed to test his resolve and his strength alone to this man that stood in front of him and by doing that he couldn’t risk him doing anything at all not even the slightest bit. Watching closely he waited for the perfect timing bending his legs as he watched his opponent take a quick knee most likely trying to gather himself or plan something out that the two would have the most trouble facing. Quickly taking a step forward a smile on his face could be seen from the position of Burittsu indeed the fight was about to begin as Burittsu himself even cracked his own smile. This would be the battle to determine how strong he truly was and he was willing to go all out as long as the results remained clear to him. It was indeed interesting as his own weapon laid in front of him the mighty Uchiha seemed different from before this Burittsu knew that much whatever he was planning he could only try to put a stop too it.

Quickly as the male did grab his weapon Burittsu only closed in the distance he had no choice but to think smarter and faster against a greater opponent pulling out a serrated Kunai from his pouch. It been awhile since the actual thrill of battle with the kunai in his right hand his left was free as he leaped towards his enemy was his palm facing the male aiming for the right upper body of the male in general. His goal wasn’t to kill but the fight itself would always lean to one of the parties leaving bloody and beaten quickly from his palm shot out in rapid succession. A total of ten ice projectiles each 1cm thick all aiming for the male that stood in front of him and his path to greatness he only wanted to gain the power he needed to avenge himself and others that were done wrong. If any of the projectiles would hit the body of this male the minor second degree frostbite would begin to occur it should have been no problem for a man of his talents well so Burittsu hoped. When it came to combat experience he was outmatched but he could pull himself up and out of the hole if he continued to work hard but for now this was the obstacle that stood between him and his dream.

“Mhmm..”

Thinking about it now as he put his life in danger just for vengeance it was all worth it in the end as long as he got what he worked so hard to accomplish it didn’t matter how many lives would be taken. As long as the goal of watching it burn into flames still and the sound of screaming filled the air nothing else mattered to him not even the life of his former comrades but for now this was all a test to see if he was ready to take on the shinobi world. Because out there in the world there was someone else likely stronger than the Uchiha who stood in front of him to this day. All he could do for now is train and get better till the day comes and have some fun before that day reveals itself the day the world literally knew the meaning of pain and suffering if he had too he’d even use the girl a little longer until he found no use for her anymore. As all this raced through his mind he came back to reality knowing what he must do to grow stronger each and everyday he would have to train to surpass the one in front of him the man with the crimson eyes.

“Maigo..”

Genin
Seeing how her clone got gutted like a fish, Nariko's eyes grow big a moment. The sharingan user hadn't been kidding when he said getting hit by this weapon wouldn't be a joke. It wasn't the weapon that impressed her, however, but the grace with which he had wielded the shoge and the precision with which he had gutted her clone. Shivers ran down her spine as she vaguely came to realise the difference in power between him and that of herself. A butterfly facing a lion, so to say, which would either result in him whacking her in one stroke or ignoring her completely since she posed little a threat. She wondered what he aimed to do.

However, the lion didn't seem untouchable. While he had easily dispatched her clone, he equally easily got caught in her hidden genjutsu. It seemed that despite his mastery with the weapon, he hadn't expected such an obvious move to be a trap. Granted, she really didn't wanted to end as fish fillet in a simple spar, but she had somewhat expected him to figure out a different way to deal with a clone as this - perhaps her genjutsu was just too well hidden even for a lion. Naturally, caught off guard, the salvo of air bullets that came right behind it had an easier time to hit the Uchiha since he lost sight of battle for just a brief moment. A distraction, sure, but distractions could be dangerous if taken too lightly.

Their opponent had jumped aside, making some distance as he had attempted to dodge the air bullets fired at him, but even at his finest agility, he couldn't avoid being hit on a few places. Torn clothes, blood. So he bled red too? How dull. She had somewhat expected him to sizzle as fire-blooded chakra would evaporate into the skies, but she guessed an Uchiha was just as much a human as everyone else - dojutsu or not. In fact, he grinned devilishly, as if enjoying the pain and the thrill, making Nariko giggle somewhat as she was pleased he was finding solace and pleasure in this seemingly irrational spar where a butterfly danced between two roaring lions.

After his initial grin, Maigo became deadly serious again and Nariko's smile faded just as much. He drew his blade, making quite a show out of it. As seemingly nothing at all happened, Nariko tilted her head somewhat, placing one of her hands on her thigh and seemingly bored he was performing such a show for nothing at all. While she guessed such a lame distraction was way beneath him, her problem was mostly that she couldn't see or say what exactly he had done - if he had even done something with his chakra. However, Mask was of a different mind and dashed to close the distance between them, seeing a threat within the movements Nariko could not place.

[Genjutsu]

It was then that Nariko saw the effect of the drawn blade. His blade plunged into the earth, a wind set up blowing hair and clothes away in a dramatic fashion. She could feel the gust blow her hair back as well, and for a moment, she almost fell home. If only she had her wings know, she would have spread them to enjoy the wind at its fullest. Her forlorn desire made place for curiosity when she saw Maigo's eyes turn a tormented black and the chakra released from the blade started to corrupt the area around him, growing in size with every passing second.

At first, it had seemed a most intriguing jutsu as the blackwind altered the area into a nightmare. Impressive, creative, ingenuous enough to have Nariko smily wryly at meeting someone who seemed as creative in torture as she aimed to be - a mad god right in front of her. However, that smile slowly faltered as she came to realise that the circle of decay was not the breaching corruption of the normal. No. It was actually a growing nightmare that she loathed as the pest. It did not offer potential for change and insightful enlightenment but opened the gate to an eternal realm of stagnation. Death.

A state of being that was probably the most useless of all possibilities in the span of a living being, only favoured by a select few power-hungry kugutsu users with little more imagination than taking something they'd never own for themselves. No, death, in all its forms, was a waste. Nariko would much prefer to remain alive, to keep others alive. Alive in a tormented immortality, perhaps, but still alive to cultivate every potential of doing, seeing, knowing and being. An eternal gateway to a most misunderstood world of chaos and creativity.

Feeling only shivers know as she became aware of the encroaching death zone, Nariko took a look back for what she considered an obvious exit. Instead, two more Maigo's with deadly no-joke weapons awaited her, eyes equally darkened by the appalling wasted state of death. She frowned, knowing well enough that she was no match for the mad god, or his copies. Even if she aimed to run to the side, she was fairly certain they would just move to block her no matter the direction she took. A lost fight...?

No. It dawned Nariko that, aside from the sword show, Maigo had done nothing of hand seals, had not activated anything that looked similar to the likes of the sharingan in the slightest. Was this a jutsu without hand seals? Possible. She blamed the dreaded sword, and perhaps an invisible chakra flow. Fuuton chakra, naturally, but it was hard to pick up the potential subtle flow of Fuuton chakra without having her wings unsealed. What made her suspicious, however, was that she had not heard or seen the clones being formed, something that, as far as she knew, should always be the case even if the Uchiha was able to form them right behind her. Adding that to the Mask's dumb move to run straight into the dead zone and embrace eminent death, she couldn't shake off the idea this was all a genjutsu. A masterful piece, as she could not distinguish the slightest detail between reality or illusion, but a genjutsu nonetheless.

If this was the game he wanted to play, Nariko would gladly join him as she had never really faced a genjutsu user with such mastery of the mind. He had picked his world for them to play in? Well, she would play in his wonderland madness. Flashing Maigo a smile from within the illusion Nariko formed the snake hand seal, activating a jutsu she had been dying to play with ever since she had heard he was a dojutsu user.

While in reality, this jutsu remained dormant until the opponent actually activated its dojutsu, in the illusory world it had already triggered it: illusion Nariko's eyes would copy the deadened black eyes of the 'Mad God' she considered Maigo to be the moment the death zone touched her feet, proceeded to blister her skin and turn her veins black as she screamed her lungs out in agony. As Nariko grasped her chest in an attempt to brace herself against the pain, the deadened skin flaked off and so too did the seal upon her back, revealing the two jet-black wings she had sealed for so long, as if they added to the whole transformation of the fallen soul she was undergoing.

In reality, though Nariko's mind was still caught in the genjutsu, her soul had found solace in following the Masked Man in his folly to embrace the deadly zone in search of delivery from this nightmare. The pain, though only an illusion, seemingly did not allow Nariko's mind any escape, making her experience the full agony of death's embrace even though she was vaguely aware of its illusory nature.

Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Element: None
Range: Line of Sight
Specialty: Genjutsu
Duration: max 5 posts dormancy, duration as per genjutsu
Cooldown: 10 posts
Description: This genjutsu has a very simple use - it copies the appearance of a doujutsu onto the user's eyes. The genjutsu is crafted by a simple Snake hand seal that must be spotted by the target, and will remain slumbering in the mind until the target activates its doujutsu or until 5 posts have passed. Though it gives the impression the user has activated an identical doujutsu as its target on a moment where it seems plausible, it does not bestow the ability to use said doujutsu in any way.

The genjutsu is immediately dispelled if the target can confirm the user doesn't, indeed, have said doujutsu. This can be done by forcing the user to make use of the doujutsu or even with cunning questions betraying the lack of knowledge/possible ownership of the doujutsu.

[OOC: Discussed over skype to continue the thread, voiding Buri's exit post and continuing on from the previous round of posting where Burittsu attempted to prevent casting of the genjutsu.]

Maigo cleaved through the clone of the girl with ease, leaving him trapped and wounded by the follow up attack, blood running down from the places hit, his right shoulder stung with the pain but his other shoulder and midsection had little more than a scratch in his eyes. Putting up his shoge back into his pouch, he had a plan and shift of action, though in the small time of preparation beforehand, Maigo watched Burittsu turn on edge, bending at the knee and readying. The smirk on Maigo's face would widen, he was happy to see that even though he was the one who was taking the damage here, he'd managed to keep his enemy on edge. Not to deny though, Maigo was on edge himself and hadn't even begun to show off his real power yet.

The girl hadn't moved yet either, it was as if she was declining to make the move, but with Maigo's shoge put away and his moment of defenselessness, he reached out with chakra in his hand to grip his sword and cast his genjutsu, the ANBU dashed forward, kunai brought into his hand and coming right at Maigo. It rushed his show of grandeur, to say the least, and put him on edge but his recklessness to rush in only did one thing for the ANBU, and that was that it guaranteed his sight and focus was trained on Maigo. The trigger of his genjutsu would be like that of a child to cast, though rushed now perhaps. He quickly ripped the sword from its sheath and planted the blade into the ground, it was a bit angled now, and his show of it had failed but the affect of the genjutsu would be the exact same as before.

The ANBU had held out his hand in the time that Maigo would place his sword into the ground and then bring his hands together in front of him in the snake seal. With the genjutsu already cast and should it land, Burittsu would see his ice bullets fail out upon reaching Maigo, passing through him uncast as the rest of the genjutsu would move into affect. Behind Maigo, the bullets would rip into the land, upheaving the bit of grass and dirt as they landed and leaving thuds as noise against the air. In reality, Maigo would have been pushing chakra to his hands as he mad the hand seal, and out from his hands a sphere of chakra would form and expand around him, hoping that by the expansion of the sphere he could account for only a last minute saving option.

Still, if Burittsu would enter into the genjutsu, he would find himself at the mercy of the field of death, with two clones of Maigo appearing to him as he would finish casting his jutsu. The clones of Maigo would do as instructed, taking their swords and cutting through his stomach cleanly to lock him into place as the field of death would expand. Covering the initial casting period of the genjutsu, Burittsu would soon begin to feel death encased around him and tearing away at his flesh, his essence in the dreamscape.

Soon after, the blackened face of Maigo and his glowing sharingan would expand again, two more clones would appear to each of them, using their katanas to stab through each of their calves and lock their legs into the ground, offering another chance at a painful pseudo-paralysis. The field of death would be changing, the pain of it would be blocked out as they would each see themselves whole amongst the death around them. The fields rotted away and the stream dried up, the sky itself would brown into a rustic color and the clouds themselves would be a darker brown, almost black like smog. There wouldn't be a sound in the world outside Maigo as he would speak to them slowly, letting the scene set in their image as he would monologue away.

The fake Maigo that had planted the sword would speak up to each of them, the clones lifeless in expression and unable to speak, stuck completely still as they held their opponent in check with the pain of being struck through by their blades. The false Maigo would speak up, "Revenge and Chaos. Such foreign concepts to fledgling ninja..." he would turn towards Burittsu calmly and speak directly to him, "You call it justice but use vengeance at the same time. Do you realize that those words don't go together? I wonder if you realize how outmatched you even are?" he would pause and then turn towards Nariko, "And you taunt a monster like there won't be consequences... wanting a show of it, like it's a game..." the false Maigo would spit against the ground before walking forwards.

"Your missions and experience... they mean nothing, you've walked upon and woken a demon, created by the phantom of the mist. You don't truly know how much trouble you're in." he would say as his eyes would narrow in the dream, the chakra around himself and his clones would flare up. Suffocating the room, the clones in a hue of dark and bloody reds would encompass them as four more clones would appear around the four already created and each take their swords and impale them again. Maigo's main false self though, his chakra would take form up like a demon, a ghastly cry of breath and hissing against the air as it would exert its pressure outwards.

It was as his clones formed and acted that the real Maigo in reality fell to sit on the ground inside his dome as he took a deep breath. He was safe inside his dome for a second, breathing that sigh of relief he would reach to his sword and grab the handle as his head would fall, knowing that once his genjutsu was over he no doubt would be having quite the fight on his hands. He needed to activate a substitution, build a trap perhaps? Or even run away from the scene... so much attempting to plan as Maigo sat there and moaned to himself. He released away from the sword and fell backwards to lay on the ground, looking up at the sky as the other two would be dealing with the newest development of his genjutsu, only one thought would come to mind for Maigo. "Why couldn't I still be sleeping right now?" he would mumble out to himself within the clear dome of chakra, wishing that he'd chosen a better and even more secluded place to rest, keeping note of it for next time.

Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: A rank
Type: Defensive
Element: Any element the user possesses
Range: 2 meter radius
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: This jutsu is relatively simple but requires an immense chakra control prowess to utilize completely. Simply put the user forms the snake hand sign and presses a large amount of chakra out from their hands in the shape of a sphere (following along the surface of the ground under the users feet). The real potency to this jutsu is that the user can either use it in a basic standard chakra form, or they can imbue the sphere with any chakra element which the user possesses. This allows an increased potency for most attacks by allowing the user to play the advantage of any elemental interactions their jutsu may have. Ie. seeing a fuuton attack ahead of time and preparing the sphere with katon chakra to gain the ability to defend against an extra technique or one of one rank higher than normal. The sphere, once built is locked in place once it is cast in the place that it was originally formed until it wears off or is destroyed.

This chakra acts as a defensive shield in the most basic form is able to knock away, block, or defend against jutsu of 1 rank higher, 2 of its own rank, and 3 of 1 rank lower before being destroyed and the bubble fading away.

The pain itself was indeed life like it all seemed to happen in a blink of an eye as his jutsu phased through the body of the male to the point he ended up becoming a human slaughterhouse indeed it was amazing. But the pain itself felt as real as ever this indeed was the power of a true Uchiha from his stomach to the rest of his body the pain of being slashed and pierced stung and left great pain in each joint. It was all incredible in all honesty but the pain itself was nothing but a simple mind trick that indeed felt real and made everything else seem real and it left him weak all he could do was grit his teeth. Enduring the pain it was the only thing that he had left to keep him on his feet and keep him on this path of carnage and pain nothing was going to stop him. Even with the words of the shinobi before him speaking down on his dream and ideals it was only something else he could prove him wrong that indeed his dream sounded crazy but he was willing to die for that dream to come true and happen even if it only a mere second. He talked about the amount of trouble the two shinobi themselves were in what the Uchiha boy didn’t know that this indeed was a battle of shinobi’s mind and strength. Burittsu could only think to himself for a mere moment before looking around for himself to realize he was now in hell a hell where the pain itself felt real but indeed it was all just the a mind trick forcing his body to believe in such a lie.

“Typical.”

It seemed fitting for his opponent to give him a little speech before leaving him in a world of pain but none could out do the damage that Sero himself caused the boy and the damage that would fall on him. If Sero himself decided to come after the child alone well this was a one way trip and he knew the outcome of failure his dream would never been seen to light and others like him would continue to get beat down and looked down upon by those of higher power status. All he could do for now was endure the ever lasting pain that was being inflicted in all honesty all he could do was wait it all out until the very end. The revenge that he carried in him was his only source of life and it would continue to shine and burn brightly inside of him until the day of his death this was nothing but another mere obstacle in his path. One that will soon be torn down maybe not now but in the future hopefully the nearest one. The Uchiha and the village itself will fall the village more likely than a single person but the day that they would fight again he trust that he would be at least around the same skill level as him. As he stood up on his feet feeling the piercing of the blades into his skin and body the pain levels indeed shocked him but it only brought him back to reality just a little bit to focus in on some details. If this was real he would have been long dead the paint itself even if it felt real it was all a lie something to keep him moving forward. He could only continue to keep his jaw lock shut and allow the pain to do its job well for now anyways until he could find a way to get out of this difficult situation.

Santaku Nariko

Genin
[Genjutsu]

All of it,

All of it,

All of it.

Was just an illusion.

But the pain felt so real, Nariko couldn't stop a tear from running down her pallid cheek, lip quivering, eyes dulled to a deadened state from the horror Maigo had made her suffer. She had known it was an illusion, but her mind had refused to follow what her heart knew. When the death field disappeared, Maigo clones stabbed her to a stand. Not that she had moved ever since she embraced the death zone, but the illusory pain shot once more into her brain, powerful enough to have her sight black out for a brief moment. How unfair a game this was, where she couldn't even decide what to do even though she knew the rules. Like in those dreams. Awareness, without control.

Lucidity at its fines~

But the Mad God was mistaken on one thing. "Revenge and Chaos. Such foreign concepts to fledgling ninja...", his words echoed in the barren sea of brown, rustic and misery coloured world she currently stood. Despite the pain, despite having felt the seal being undone, no wings. Such a paradox, this world was, where all she knew and was voided to nothingness.

"And you taunt a monster like there won't be consequences... wanting a show of it, like it's a game...", she heard his words resonate once more. Of course, it was a game. Of course, she taunted a monster. What did monsters knew of butterflies? What did the strong knew of chaos, discord and true madness? Nariko giggled, perhaps the only thing Maigo would not be able to take away as her salvation to the mind-shattering genjutsu he had placed her in.

"Oh please. What can a monster do against discord? No monster flutters elegantly along the battlefield, flirts with madness and gets away with it, or dances with chaos like its his lover. All it does is snort, huff and puff."

That all she knew and was meant nothing. What did she care? She wasn't here to be someone, she was here to take away what others were. She couldn't care if she knew nothing, soon enough the Seven Songs would void all that was known just to plunge the world into a mental breakdown.

The girl giggled again. The Mad God knew as much as she did, it seemed. Nothing. Yet here he was boasting and bragging, about demons, no less. He didn't even had wings. Or horns. Just black eyes easily copied. Black eyes she had too. Black wings, she had too.

Though her legs were firmly tied to the ground with illusory swords of way-too-realistic pain, she took out her kunai from her pouch. Teeth gritting, eyes boring itself in Maigo's with a hint of what could be considered feverish madness, she started to scratch her back with her weapon.

How odd a sensation.

Real pain.

Mixed with unreal suffering.

But all she needed was for the seal on her back to break, and she'd show him what a demon was. She might not defeat the illusion, but she'd defeat his lies. He wanted to be a demon, resorting to petty illusions for this. She'd show him... Reality within a dream. The Mad God ruled the world, but she ruled herself.

As the last scratch broke the seal and blood ran down her back, two jet-black wings pierced the veil of illusory stabbing copies. Briefly, as the copies would certainly displace them to a 'perfectly realistic' position considering their speed, but it was what followed that would add to the confusion. Calling upon her own genjutsu, at the same time as her wings spread out to show off its glory, Nariko's eyes became mere slits, their colours gaining a hellish glow.

"Eyes of Chaos", she hissed, between her clenched teeth.

No hand seals, just the Arts of the Butterfly, master of eye mimicry. And if that little trick wasn't enough to drive back the fake demon she was facing, the saturation of the nearby air with her Fuuton chakra easily betrayed the fact that the 'clones' next to her had no physical form. Kage bunshin, if that was what they were supposed to be, all had a material manifestation since they were able to actually hit their target.

Once more, while Maigo's genjutsu refused to break, Nariko was slowly but steadily working to crack it from the inside as she searched for its imperfect flaws. She would force her mind to see clear in the world of chaos the Uchiha tried to force upon her. A world of chaos stemming from a lack of understanding what chaos truly was - a force not as easily shaped as one would want it.

[Reality]

Still caught in Maigo's genjutsu, the girl had barely moved, eyes glazed as they were unable to distinguish feint from reality. However, her arm moved to take out a kunai and rather than to throw it at Maigo or his copies, she scratched her back under her shirt in a rather painful way as she gritted her teeth. It was clear she was fighting hard to resist the power of the genjutsu, even though not powerful enough to do so, but as the last of her painful self-inflicted wounds were placed, a pair of jet-black wings burst out, ripping her jacket and the back of her shirt to pieces.

This was clearly not an illusion.

And to add insult to injury, as she laid eyes on the 'real Maigo', her eyes turned into a hellish glow as she hissed, "Eyes of Chaos", under her breath. Whatever she was about to do, the genin would not stand for the blatant ignorance on chaos.

Art of the Butterfly - Eyes of Chaos:

Name: Art of the Butterfly - Eyes of Chaos
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: C
Type: Sensory/Supplementary
Element: Wind
Range: 5m radius
Specialty: Ninjutsu/Genjutsu
Duration: Maintainable, 5 chakra/post
Cooldown: Duration +2 posts
Description:
This jutsu allows the user to 'see clear' in a state of chaos, giving the semblance of detecting patterns in a world that has no obvious directions or regulations. However, requesting such control over the forces of Chaos is like bargaining with the devil - it does not come for free.

This is a jutsu with two purposes. Firstly, the ninjutsu saturates the area around the user with fuuton chakra, creating a sensory field allowing to sense all movement in a 5 meter radius. Anything with a physical body, no matter its size, will warn the user of its approach as it pushes away the chakra saturated wind, effectively denying 'surprise attacks' of any sort - shadows and other non-physical attacks/bodies can't be sensed since those do not push aside the air they move through.
Secondly, the genjutsu will give the user's eyes a hellish glow with a slit pupil, creating the impression a doujutsu has just activated. This serves simply as decoy akin to animal mimicry, drawing the attention to the eyes rather than the chakra field. The change of eyes is triggered by simply laying eyes on the user when the jutsu is activated - blinded people won't trigger the eye change, but then again, the fake 'doujutsu' won't matter much in that case anyway.

To make use of the jutsu's full potential, a Santaku must have its wings unsealed. If this is the case, the Santaku gains a +1 to reaction against attacks picked up through this sensory ability - wings are known to be sensitive to, and able to make full use of wind streams. If the wings are sealed, this bonus can't be gained.

This jutsu counts as a passive, in that way that it doesn't restrict the user from using other jutsu while maintaining this one, nor does it require hand seals to be activated (further playing on the illusion that it would be a doujutsu). The jutsu, while powerful for its rank, comes with a heavy drawback - the user suffers a -1 to perception during its cooldown.

Maigo

Jounin
Maigo raised his head from on the ground, slowly and labored, his head felt far heavier than his neck was ready to lift and thus it left it lagged behind the actual motion. Feeling the contents of his head drag within, weighted and full of pressure just behind his forehead. The growing headache, he'd been awake too long and was starting to feel the torment of his own mental and emotional exhaustion against his willpower. He glanced to the ANBU and saw that he had seemed to accept his fate, for Maigo, that was enough. But what he would wonder on was whether Burittsu had given up willpower and lost his spirit yet or if he had figured out that his world was obviously not real. It didn't matter, he wasn't resisting it just yet but when Maigo glanced towards the girl, his alarm grew more heavily.

She was resisting his genjutsu, reaching to her back and scratching at it as Maigo watched, placing a hand to his knee as he raised himself up from the ground. Maigo watched as two black wings exploded from her back, his eyes blinked, she was still seemingly dazed in vision, whatever she saw it was within his illusion but Maigo saw those wings flicker into life in front of him. He knew he needed to separate them, he needed to put an end to it now, his dome of chakra was fading soon and he had to act to try and put an end to this fight.

With some haste, Maigo would step from his bubble, the chakra wearing off and fading silently into the air, leaving nothing behind and not a single trace just like it had appeared. To Burittsu, he would change the illusion slightly, doubling the clones stabbing into him again, but having a single one look up to him. Staring Burittsu directly in the eyes with the clones own lifeless and dead eyes, the sharingan starting to spin, "What is she to you? How much do you value her life?" the clone would pause and its lips would close, containing all sound again as the rest of the world would blur and fade out of focus. Gradually, as long as Burittsu didn't answer, the blades of each clone would begin to glow like they were heating the swords with katon chakra and begin to cause more pain, searing the flesh and all within him. Intensifying further and further the longer he didn't answer.

And that's where he would leave Burittsu for a moment, letting the same illusion fall upon the girl without the question, this time all of the clones looking directly on her as the swords would intensify with heat. She would be left alone, but it really did make Maigo wonder what those wings were for, what they could do in battle to resist something like this. How much power they contained that she would release them now.

In mere seconds the clones themselves doubled everything seemed to be different even by the slightest detail but yet again the male had no power when it came to the battle of the eyes. Let alone genjutsu itself the clones increased and so did the number of swords piercing into his flesh. Even if it was all a lie and nothing but mind games all of the clones did their job except for one this one looked more like the man himself then the rest of them as his mouth began to open and the words started to flow out of his mouth. A simple question about the girl a question that need not be answered but simply ignored Burittsu only grinned at the fact the Uchiha took an interest into her. She probably did something to make him come back in this world and begin to question the man himself such a waste of skill and time to try to interrogate the male as if it would be easy. Releasing a gasp of air he had no way to actually escape this as he chose to ignore the question that was asked only to feel the burning sensation coming from the swords themselves. It seemed that everything else was going to be by his game and the information that he wanted seemed important.

“A package.”

The burning feeling in his body as he felt the heat himself but this was all game and they were the paws of the game being played with mentally and physically in some ways. All he could do was by his time and endure the pain of it all this was the task of a shinobi afterall to endure it all for himself and his village. The village that allowed him to almost rot in a jail cell, the village that spawned him a burning hate as no one came to rescue him his hate was his resolve and it burned bright through the darkness of the genjutsu. His will power alone would not be able to beat this genjutsu but his burning passion for revenge was enough fuel for him to remember why he continued to be a shinobi and why he left the village. Betraying his friends and picking up a annoying baggage along the way this was his way of living a way where a lot of people will die even himself to save the future of the shinobi like him. A grin appeared on his face as he clenched each hand making a fist the pain was nothing compared to that from Sero himself but the pain he would exact on those who crossed him will be more brutal.

“Ha..Haha..Hahaha.. Uchiha.. She is nothing but a package you can kill her if you want or take her as your own I can care less.

Genin
[Genjutsu]

There was little to be said in this world. It was dead. The only thing alive, and even then some, were the clones that weren't there. Nariko's technique told her that. These clones... they weren't there. As she knew already, it was a genjutsu, but her brain just refused to understand that. She couldn't do anything against the world in which she was just an opposing pawn. Everything was in the hands of the enemy. Yet the winged kunoichi wouldn't give in that easily.

Perhaps for a first, as far as she could remember, she found someone not willing to spare her mind. Someone who wouldn't go softly on her because she was member of the Himura branch of the Santaku. To think there were other people with the power to dominate the mind of the weak-willed. To think there were others outside of her family who considered everyone else nothing more but a puppet to play with... It riled her up, enticed her, much like the first time she met the people that she now considered friends.

Her joy was, once more, short lived as the cruel god decided her devotion seemed lacking. She had given just about everything she could, but her mind was not willing to wake up just yet. The only other thing she could do now was just play the waiting game and endure the brutal assault on her own mind. The pressure of invisible chakra felt like it tried to crack her mind, shatter it in countless pieces. Perhaps that was exactly what the Uchiha wanted to achieve. Maybe not.

She shook her head, attempting to numb the increasing pain as more no-clones appeared and drove their no-swords into her legs with no words. They. Weren't. There! She wanted her mind to understand the paradox of feeling pain caused by something that wasn't there. Detection or knowledge. The genjutsu was flawed, that much was certain, and yet... the difference between the real pain she had caused herself and illusory pain had already been washed away to forgetfulness. Her mind refused to recall the solution to this nightmare.

She hope Masked Murderer would attempt to take him down. Which reminded her... where was he anyway? Was he caught in the genjutsu as well, or was he fighting the Uchiha on his own in the real world? It was hard to say.

All she could do now was play the waiting game.

A package... what an insulting notion, they seemed to have a rapport of some kind, enough for him to feel comfortable throwing her in a literal sense at him and her having the foresight to use a jutsu in conjunction with it. And yet, she meant nothing to him? That wouldn't do at all... what a helpless fool who would abandon those near him, attack an ally, and to serve justice? Maybe he was right though, in some form, that things were different. Maybe this boy had grown to embody Kirigakure more than Maigo ever would, the anger within him. In the fleeting moment after his answer Maigo only felt the grit of his teeth and a clenched fist from outside the genjutsu. He'd abandoned everything in search of power, maybe it was him who should have the Sharingan then? It had been so long perhaps he'd forgotten of his village and its notoriety, maybe it was Maigo that had changed. Fleeting was the right word for it, for all of time even beyond that moment of introspection.

Maigo released the grip on his fist and stepped forward towards Burittsu, with his actual self and spoke up from his own voice instead of a clone but still indistinguishable from the rest as the clones would double again as they had before, leaving both his opponents with 16 blades cutting in their flesh.

"What a fool... what justice do you seek that you would so easily throw away an ally and attack a comrade for answers over? I was thinking that I was the demon, but maybe you're the real monster here... at the very least, you've definitely lost your way." Maigo's eyes would fall sullenly on him as he waited a few meters away from him. For Nariko, the world around her would unfold to their conversation too, if she would pay attention, the clones falling silent and still again with nothing but the pain of their blades to continue on from. The pair wouldn't be far from her, and though the clones doubled, she would easily be able to hear them talking, to hear his answer in reply.

And that would be where the trick is, the real Maigo would sheathe his old katana and slowly bring his Shoge back out. Still attached to the razor wire and metal ring as before, letting it slack out just like he had the first time at the start of their battle. His genjutsu didn't have much longer and soon, he would have to transition back to reality and prepare for their actual fight. Assuming that they would be in condition to, and that Burittsu's answer would infuriate Maigo enough to bring about his wrath. And it seemed it might, the chill in the air and the tone of it all, it just felt like any answer he gave would send Maigo spiraling out into the heat of their battle. And there was no mercy deserved for traitors and villains in this world, and that truth could easily be applied to Maigo as well.

Suffering and pain was all that he knew as he gave his answers to his capture only to feel the sting and multiple stabbings once again the blades increased as the pain did for him. Blood spilled from his mouth as it dripped off his chin hitting one of the many blades that were instilled into his body. Why did it even matter to the Uchiha who himself had left the village and never returned in the eyes of Burittsu he was the one who betrayed the village he must have found his peace. In all honesty the girl was a handful but a package none of the less there was no connection between them that needed to be formed it was a simple drop off and it will continue to be a simple drop off. Cracking his neck he could only look at the replica’s of the Uchiha before cracking a smile it seemed his answer was of no value to the male unless if he answered incorrectly. This was a terrible place to be in such a way feeling his body being touched and the feeling of sharp objects plunging into his body gave him a reason to show no remorse when he ended up free from such a hell.

“Enjoying the view? I wonder how it’ll feel for you when I get out of this hell well eventually those eye’s can’t see everything you know.”

Leaning his head up as he looked into the dark abyss the pain of his past and death of the comrades he knew could not simply be swept away by this one man. The truth wouldn’t set anyone free but only cause more pain his anger was indeed enough for him to survive on until he can see the results of his carnage. This was only a test a simple one in fact to hold down his resolve under any situation he would not break to the man let alone such a trick that played with his body and mind. Closing his eyes as he remained with a smile on his face even Burittsu knew the time would come where everyone who crossed him would indeed pay dearly with their lives for now he could only try and live.

“Shinobi world huh? Such a interesting place.”

Genin
[Genjutsu]

Waiting still for the right moment, Nariko felt like she had become one with the genjutsu. A shadow in quiet contemplation, only disturbed by the discomfort of giant 'needles' that failed at proper acupuncture. The pain was excruciating, to a point that even against her will a tear rolled down her cheek on each side. Maybe she was just the illusion, and this world was real, trying to get rid of a mental intrusion by mind-probing. Maybe. Maybe she wasn't even sure anymore what real was and what not. The pain was too much, and it just didn't stop, but all together, there was no more pain. Numbed, by too much pain in too many places at once.

This was just an illusion.

And it seemed whatever she did had no effect. She folded her wings, hellish eyes looking like two late night lights behind half-closed eyes. There was no point fighting this jutsu... but there might be a point in becoming part of it. If she became an illusion, it would matter little whatever happened, and so she remained quiet. Her bewildered hair covered part of her face, her lowered head seemingly emphasising the face of the Lost. She lowered down to sit on her knees, resting, the blades not renouncing their claim for a minute until her movement forced the clones to budge to maintain their grip on her. Fallen Angel. She remained unloving like a statue

"She is nothing but a package. You can kill her if you want, or take her as your own. I can care less."

Even vampires kept the semblance of humanity, as they drained life force to keep up the semblance of humane life, but this man... He had only empty words, like a fool who had already given up on life. A dull shell of what he could have been. A man who forsook all potential and possibility for an eternal illusion in his mind.

"I may be a package, yet even then you fail to execute the simplest of tasks. What chance do you stand against a shinobi, if you can't even deliver a package to Konogakagure?", she replied to the echoes around her of the conversation nearby. "One can't expect to defeat a God, if one can't even recite the simplest of prayers."

She cared little for moving, as almost all her willpower went to suppressing the mental pain brought by sixteen illusory stabs. All she cared for was to absorb all the illusion could bring. Knowledge, power, potential. One day, she would invoke the powers of the Mad God by herself, unleashing the terror she was experiencing today upon the world.
