Julius stood on the nearest road to their ship and home. He was clean pressed and presentable as usual. His dull blue eyes did little to deny his combed back black hair and long white coat with green and blue patterns on it matching his white pants. His boots were polished but already had some dirt from the days walking on them. It had turned out they were only about a mile from the village which he preferred some distance anyway. For the moment though he stood unarmed next to the road with only a vanilla folder in his hands. He was waiting on someone to arrive soon. He had allowed his sister to sleep in as was her preference while he investigated some work to be made available to them. Idly he checked his watch as they were scheduled to meet here shortly. His lengthy fingers turning one of the two pages within the folder. Reviewing the contents idly.

He had of course selected two low ranking ones. Having known his sister however he had not selected anything D rank for lack of combat readiness. If it didn't require combat she likely wouldn't take part in it and insist he work alone. As such he had skipped passed the D rank missions listed on the board entirely. The mission board had luckily something readily available for adventurers just starting out in the village. Missions B rank and under were readily listed. When he inquired about higher up missions he had been handed a card with the policy of the village on it. It appeared they would need to make Kumo contacts when they made it to that point because those missions required being accompanied by an official Kumo Shinobi. He thought it paranoid but that was fine for now.

With any luck they would be creating their mercenary division house in the area by that time. Certain missions would hopefully not require that element of kumo involvement. He wasn't trained to work with their methods. His sisters and his own tactics were a practiced strategy. That wasn't to say they couldn't use allies within the village. Contacts would need to be acquired at some point. For now it was nearly ten in the morning. The sun was up and though the cloud cover was thick there was little feeling of rain coming their way. If anything for all the clouds the air felt relatively dry. Still his blue eyes gazed to the woods that concealed their ship from the main road. A small and difficult to see walking path marking the way. With any luck she would be coming from that direction.

((OOC note, we will be acting as if we have working versions of our starting jutsu and items for this thread))

Cleo was having a lovely dream, in it she was standing on top of large mountain that her brother Julius had crafted and she was raining down fire and destruction upon the masses below. She was laughing gleefully as the smoke rose up around her, Julius standing beside her keeping her safe from harm.

And then she woke up.

It was probably mid morning, it certainly felt like it. It was dim out, but still bright enough now that her eyes were open for the light that was invading them to be offensive. She snarled at the sunlight and tossed the tangle of sheets off of her as she climbed reluctantly out of bed, dragging herself across the captain’s cabin towards her clothing. It was like this every morning, the seething hatred that she felt for everything that moved during those first few minutes that she tried to figure out what the hell she was doing awake. It was why her brother left her alone when she awoke, it was safer. There were morning people and there were night owls and then there was her, a rage demon incarnate when compelled by a biological need to survive to get up and actually do things like eat and move around. Once she was up and alert she was fine, with energy to spare but the in between moments were brutal.

She spent a few minutes cursing and slamming drawers, yanking on her hair as she struggled to get dressed. She pulled on her long white dress, her short green coat with the symbol of their mercenary company on the back; three arrows crossed by a sword. She straightened her tie and tied up her boots and then got a huge grin on her face as she looked over at her weapons. This was her favorite part of getting ready in the morning. She ran her hands over her various sharp things, a huge devilish grin plastered on her sweet face; two kunai, half a dozen senbon and the same number of shurikens and her bow. Oh how she loved her bow, with her myriad of arrows, it was a thing of beauty to behold. She picked up her belt and strapped on her weapons, making sure they were secure and within easy reach. Then affixed her quivers to herself; one on either hip that held her standard arrows, one at the small of her back for her hunting arrows and one across her shoulder blades for her most deadly arrows. It was a system that Julius had worked out and a very clever one at that, the further up the arrows went the more deadly they became, easy to remember.

Bow in hand she pushed open the door to the cabin and with one final grumble about the change in light level wandered away in the direction of Kumogakure no Sato. Julius had mentioned that he was going to find them work this morning, and about time too, she was goddamned bored. She looked around for a bit confused before finally spotting a path that was probably where Julius had gone. It was the most likely option anyway, he was known to take the ‘path of least resistance’ as it were and this being the only actual path it was probably it. It was not too long in her wanderings before she spotted her brother up ahead of her on the path, looking through a folder and standing pristinely dressed as per usual. She would kick up her pace when she saw him and speeding along the path, excited to see Julius, and even more excited at the process of doing something that involved shooting or fire.

She called out happily and would come to a screeching halt in front of him out of breath from laughter and enthusiasm. “Good morning Julius! Wonderful to see you so awake and with what looks like a job? Is it a job? Because I don’t know if you noticed but I’m in the mood to shoot some people, or light some things on fire! Oooh please tell me it’s a job!” She looked practically ready to explode as she would wait for Julius to tell her what was in store.

Julius would remain calm and poised as always though he was feeling the ache of the morning himself. He had slept in until Eight before making his way to the village but still he could of gone for later. However his sister was not designed for sitting around and waiting. The longer he took the more likely something durastic would be done in his absence. The fact that the woods by their ship had yet to burn down was a sign of her continued patience with the area. After all lighting part of a villages woods on fire might not be smiled upon. At this point in their plans gaining favor was easily outweighed by any mischief. It would be different and easier for them should they obtain a steady employer or gather enough renown to gain an audiance with the raikage. Politics and paper work were his game. However there was more than mind needed now. His sister was just a bright as he was but her interests were placed else where. Combat being her specialty and focused on a ranged situation. His politics would gain little without her might backing them up.

Still it was not a professional sensation that filled him when she came bursting from the woods. She was quick as usual but he could tell that she was also prepared. He smiled as his sibling arrived next to him and looked her over. She was fully prepared for something complex. A breach and clear mission or a target elimination with body guards. She liked the complex combat and had no issues with causing a large amount of damage to her enemies. A force to be reckoned with. How he was supposed to explain to her that she wouldn't be causing excessive damage today was almost beyond him. However they were both raised in a very military based setting in a training camp their entire life. Orders were to be followed and conditions to complete a mission to be met. As such he expected her to comply with what the village wished. She liked her violence but again she was intelligent. Income was more important then blood. Their father would be expecting some form of funds sent to him soon. Still he would hand her the folder with the information within it to review as he spoke. Two mission slips with the details he was about to cover.

His voice was calm, almost stoic as he looked to her with calm blue eyes as hard to read as the sky. Hiding just as much as well. "I have gathered two missions for us today. Both of them are at a C rank level. A warm up for us until we figure out our position within these parts of the world. Something to help us settle in and grow comfortable. Both missions have specific rules of engagement. No maiming or killing. Our first mission is in the village and should be brief. We are to locate and stop a bar fight. It appears these happen often in this village. A show of force should be enough to discourage anyone participating in the activity. Keep in mind they are civilians so no direct engagement. The second is a spar request. A young man will be meeting us in a couple of hours a half click from here towards the village. We are to convince him he has been defeated without causing immense harm to his person. Only attacks he can easily recover from. Shall we proceed into town for the first objective?"

Cleo was more than a little disappointed as Julius explained that there was to be no killing OR maiming. That was possibly the worst news she had heard all fucking morning. She had been looking forward to firing some arrows into someone, there was a new shot she had been working on that she needed a moving target for; preferably a moving and panicking target. And now, well, that was out the fucking window. She would glare at the pieces of paper angrily, and their stupid words. This. Wasn’t. Fair. And then her eye caught sight of the payments that were listed for the missions and she raised one delicate eyebrow. Maiming and killing aside, money was something she enjoyed almost as much a wanton destruction and violence. Her brother had done very well, both in that while she wouldn’t be getting to actually kill anyone it seemed, there would be some moderate amount of force involved. And there was a tidy sum of money to boot. She would nod once and snap the folder closed handing it back to her brother, a pleased and very businesslike smile on her small face. “This is not exactly what I had in mind dearest brother. Obviously.” She would smirk at him as she glanced down at her weaponry quickly, waiting to see if he would take the folder back from her. She hoped he would, it was looking mighty flammable and she really, really wanted to torch something today. They probably didn’t need it anymore. “However, the payout on these looks very good. And we could use the money for all the repairs our precious ship will need. It is in dire need of attention, it just breaks my fucking heart to see her like that.” She loved that ship, and it was in a very sad state, getting it back into working order was high on her list of priorities.

She would start walking down the path towards the village, hoping that her brother would follow along beside her as he suggested they proceed into town to start the first mission. “So we have to find the bar and break up a fight? What if there isn’t a fight? What the hell are we supposed to do then, is this the sort of village where there’s just always a bar fight going on? Or maybe we’re allowed to start one! Oh Julius, I really hope there isn’t a fight, cuz I could go for starting one today!” She was ecstatic at the thought of being able to start a bar fight. And was quickly going over all the ways that she could accomplish that, probably her best bet would be to just accidently light someone on fire and then feign innocence. That had caused many a fight in the past, and those times she hadn’t even been trying to start a fight. She looked expectantly at her brother hoping that he would agree with her plan.

Julius would watch calmly as she took the vanilla folder from him. Listening to him as she reviewed the files. He could tell from her initial reaction that she was less than pleased. However he was not yet aware of the capabilities of would be enemies in the area. If nothing else they were testing the waters and getting a feel for the other fish in the area. As for now they were not very big fish they needed to watch where they swam. Still he observed her as she noted the money value of the missions. A couple of simple tasks to adhere to worth enough coin to be worth their while. Walking away from it with about four hundred ryo each for a couple hours work. Work that brought very little risk to them. Still she would hand the folder back and he was rather relieved it wasn't on fire and she was willing. Calmly he would retrieve the information back from her and slide the folder into his inner coat where a pocket seemed to rest just meant for holding such documents. His inner coat pocket designed for such storage strictly because it was needed with the role he preformed for the group.

Still she turned and began walking and calmly he matched her stride. It would be a good bit of time before they reached the village at the pace they were going. So calmly he picked it up. Urging her silently to keep up with him and moving at a comfortable running pace. It was only a mile to the village so they would get there in under ten minutes without breaking a sweat. Of course he wouldn't be able to participate in combat for about three minutes after they stopped running. Still he spoke calmly as they moved. Attempting to monitor his breathing as his eyes studied the path ahead. A simple set of information pertaining to her question. Why exactly would there be a bar fight so soon after bars started serving in the day? She was likely joking when she mentioned starting one themselves. Obviously that would be a poor career choice. He doubted she had any intentions of lighting random tough guy bar hoppers on fire. However he would explain the situation to her all the same to persuade against such an action.

"A lot has happened with Kumo through out the last year. A threat of invasion and a single incursion with Kirigakure, a power shift with the changing of Kage seats and not a lot is being done to calm the population. Combine the stress of all that with some sake and you have the recipe for flaring tempers. It won't be long before we find an active engagement. Remember to not cause any permanent damage. Scare tactics only."

As they arrived at the gates Julius would slow and stop. Showing them the documents and identification papers for both of them. It took a couple minutes but they let them through. Even as armed as she was they hardly seemed concerned. They were just the help. Still Julius would take the lead and show her by walking there where the street with the bars was. It was quiet for a moment until two men came crashing out the front door of a bar followed by a couple more. Onlookers but bigger hostiles than he had expected. Quietly Julius would hold up a hand to symbolize to halt. He would make eye contact with her and hold up the index and middle fingers of his right hand. He would twirl the symbol in a circle once and point his fingers to the ground between the mans feet. A simple silent note to put two arrows between them. With that done he stepped forward where he was plainly seen. Waiting to see if the arrows would land in the dirt road where they needed to in order to gain the attention he needed. Shock and awe.

"Gentlemen. The law will have no fights breaking out into the streets. Tempers are high right now so understand my team seeks a rapid resolution to this encounter. If you refuse to go seperate ways the next arrow will be located in your foot."

“Pain is scary.” She grinned at her brother insolently. She knew damn well what he meant, but she loved pushing his buttons. Being the younger sister she felt it was her duty to be a brat from time to time, and she filled the role well. She never did this in front of others though, when they were in private it was one thing, but in public it was imperative that they present a unified front. Which meant she had to get her ribbing in now before they reached Kumogakure. “You know Julius, I could cut them a little, you could heal them a little. It’s well within the bounds of the mission.” She knew it was technically, but it wasn’t in the spirit of the mission. She laughed as she continued walking, trying to not dwell to long on the darkness of that thought.

Cleo rolled her eyes as Julius began speeding up. Of course he was hurrying, he was always so worried about being on time. What she was more worried about than being on time was how much it winded him to keep up the swift pace. Sure they got to the village faster, but was it worth it? She didn’t think he was weak, if anything she thought he was stronger than her, by a fuck ton, but he tired so much faster than she did. As the ran along she kept a watchful eye on her brother, she didn’t try to stop him, just kept an eye on his breathing.

Reaching the gates was fast enough, and getting through them was a breeze, she even managed to keep her mouth shut. As Julius handed over the relevant paper work she stood and examined the defenses of the Village, they seemed sturdy enough. The guards though, they were apathetic as far as guards went. They clearly either weren’t getting paid enough or weren’t proud enough of the thing they were guarding. She was armed to the teeth and they barely batted an eye in her direction. She chuckled at that, mostly under her breath, trying to pass it off as a cough when it drew a look from one of the disinterested looking guards. Once through the gates she took in the sights and sounds of the town. It was not what she was expecting to be sure, given her brother’s explanation of the threat of invasion and stress she was surprised to see it was clean and orderly, as far as a village built on a mountain could be expected to appear.

She gladly followed Julius as he took the lead and walked down a street lined on either side with shops and bars. She was shocked to see that, sure enough, at just barely before lunch time there was already two fairly large and inebriated men spilling into the street and brawling. Shortly came two more, she kept half an eye on them but mostly she paid attention to the hand signals given to her by her brother. The second his hand came up she stilled her movements, her muscles tensed to grab whichever weapon he silently called for. She hoped to god it was her bow, she wanted to fucking shoot someone. As she watched his right index and middle finger make the symbol for two arrows she could have jumped for joy. She didn’t. But she could have. She wrapped her left hand firmly around the grip and smoothly shifted her bow from its resting position around her torso and out into a resting position in front of her, simultaneously drawing two arrows from her right hip quiver and nocking them in place with her right hand.

Adjusting her stance so that the left side of her body was in line with the two fighting men she watched her brothers hand for the signal to let fly. They had trained this thousands of times, over years and years, and it was effortless to communicate in this fashion. They weren’t very far away so the shot would be a piece of cake, shooting at the ground wasn’t exactly hard. As he signaled to fire she breathed in deeply once as she drew back, aimed and breathed out as she loosed the arrows. As the arrows dug into the street she would smirk and nock a single arrow this time, waiting for her brother to finish speaking before smiling sweetly and calling out to the one on the left.

“Please give me a reason to shoot you.”

Julius would watch with a steady and stern gaze. The arrows plunging into the dirt street were indeed a warning. Though the part of maiming them was a bluff. Yet none of that actually would show through his blank expression. He was an experienced negotiator as he had to be when determining the amount the men from the home base were owed after a private contract. Tallying injuries, extra needed man power and anything else that could earn them more money from the client. A difficult thing to do while keeping the client satisfied with the service. Repeat work was perhaps one of the most troubling things to come by. Normally it wasn't funded by the kindest of hearts. It had taught him to be a little on the hard side of the world. Not a pessimist but a realist by nature. They were outnumbered but the men were inebriated and at a range. If they fought Julius calculated a nintey percent chance of victory. However getting the enemy out of the fight unmaimed was an unsure. His sister had a temper and while a wild card he had to hope she prefered money over violence.

Luckily his little sister had enough arrows to put an arrow in every citizen for a square city block. She was prepared to handle any situation give enough range and time. The appearance of all those arrows was likely frightening even to strong drunken fools. A boost to his bluff with malevolence in her eyes. Perhaps it was by luck that they opted not to test her. A simple enough mission for the time being it would appear. All the men seperated to go their seperate ways glaring at each other. Likely their issues unresolved but taken away from the bar for the time being. Easily considered a successful mission if he said so. Bluff or no the men were not about to risk getting filled with holes over a bar fight. Still Julius would watch them leave for a moment before pulling the sheet out of his pocket. A pen from his front jacket pocket was produced as he jotted down the time and location of the mission. Idly he moved to the bartender and had them sign it before folding it and depositing it in a nearby mission drop off box.

By the time he was done he suspected his sister would of collected her arrows and cleaned the dirt off them. He would wait until such a time as she put them away before patting her on the head with a smile. Moving passed her and letting his hand fall to his side. He would buy a couple of chicken teryaki skewers from a nearby stall before exchanging exact change and handing her one. Positive reinforcment for not falling outside the mission guidelines. He would nibble on his own before he began walking back towards the gates. Taking a couple of bites here and there before glancing to her. He wondered if she was disappointed at the turn out of that mission. If she had really wanted to just draw blood from someone. His blue eyes looked her over simply hoping she was enjoying the food given to her. He needed to have her appear sane to those highering them at least. Only a select few hired mad slayers and he did not want her stuck in that world. Still as they passed the gates he would speak up in an effort to cheer her up.

"Our next objective is a single target. He wishes to test his limits and is a shinobi. When we meet with him he will introduce himself likely before we acknowledge if we are ready. We need to win the fight without causing any permanent damage to him, no lethal shots to be fired. However with this one there will be a need to attack him."

With no small amount of disappointment Cleo watched as the men grumbled, giving each other piercing looks and went their separate ways. She had been looking forward to them resisting at least a little bit, but of course they didn’t, that would have been fun. She sighed as they left, waiting until they were a safe distance away, keeping her arrow trained on her target, shifting her position to avoid putting anyone else in the crossfire. Only once they were well out of range and her brother began moving up to the bartender with a pen and paper in hand did she relax her draw and replace her arrow in its quiver, slinging her bow crossways along her torso. She followed along behind Julius, keeping a wary eye out for anyone that might have any ideas about hurt pride or some such, her fingers brushing against the grips of her kunai on her right and left hips as she walked. While it seemed that situation was resolved, there was always the chance that someone had gotten their feelings hurt, getting cowed by a couple ‘children’ and would be back for more. Wouldn’t be the first time some big tough drunk got their damn feelers bruised and just couldn’t fucking let it go.

She let out a small sigh as she walked over to her arrows, releasing the grips on her kunai, carefully extracting them from the ground, placing one hand firmly on the arrow shaft and the other on the ground around the arrow head. She pulled firmly but gently, one could say lovingly, taking the time to dust off the arrow tips before replacing them inside their waiting quivers. There was a very specific order to the things Cleo loved in the world. First and foremost it was her brother, heaven help the fool that dared mess with Julius. Blood ran thicker than water as they (whoever they were) said and she was more than happy to spill the blood of anyone that came near Julius with the intent of hurting him. Next up was destruction, which by extension made her weapons hold the number two spot on that very short list. And of course number three was money, her father had made sure to instill a deep sense of capitalism into her from an early age. Beyond that she couldn’t count a thing that she truly valued, minor things, but they all threaded back to those main three.

As Julius finished with the bartender and gave her a gentle pat on the head, she would glance up at him with a satisfied smile before rising to fall into step with him. While she hadn’t had the opportunity to shoot anyone, she was pleased that they had worked perfectly together just has they had practiced. There was always the chance that she lost her temper and just shot one of them because she was impatient, which she was quite sure Julius was aware of, and she had been considering somewhere in the back of her mind. No need to confirm that though, he’d just tell her to be patient or remind her to follow the mission. Again. And she really was trying to keep her temper under control, it was just SO HARD when so many people were just begging to get shot right in the face. So she kept her murderous thoughts to herself and happily accepted the teriyaki chicken skewer that her brother handed her, grinning up at him before unceremoniously ripping into it with her teeth. “Thank you Julius.” She would say in between mouthfuls of teriyaki chicken. “I wasn’t going to shoot them you know. Probably. Not like I didn’t want to. . . buuuuutt I think it went pretty well.” She would smirk up at her brother as finished off the last of her chicken and cleaned off her fingers and the skewer, and began to twirl the bit of sharpened wood about in her hand.

As Julius explained the next mission Cleo would scrunch up her face and hold out a hand to attempt to pause her brother’s pace, she was somewhat confused and excited by this one.

“So I’m supposed to shoot him, but not kill him. Alright and he wants us to do that? Is he absolutely certain of that, I mean did he know that it was going to be us when he put in the mission request? I can think of a dozen different ways that I can stop that fight with actually killing him, but they are all going to hurt. They’re going to hurt a hell of a lot. Question is though, arrows or blades?”

Julius would glance at her as she spoke of her intentions and how she had no intentions of hurting the young men. Big and inhibited as they were she seemed unlike herself as she mentioned it idly. Tearing into the meet provided to her. For a moment his blue eyes studied her before he nodded. He wouldn't verbally doubt her. If she thought he doubted her words to him it might hurt her emotionally. Something he had never cared to do to her. Partially because she could draw an awful amount of blood from her surroundings if she were throwing a fit. However growing up with their father and only having each other to lean on he had come to rely on her. Some had thought he hated her for holding authority that should of been his by birth right. Truth was he had been relieved. So little was expected of him in comparison. For him she had taken a great burden from him. For him. He needed to serve her as best he could. It was a matter of love and pride. Even if he was already feeling tired from the day. He would escort her through these jobs and they would get paid.

She spoke though as they walked down the road. Stopping his progress with an arm barring his mid section. He would pause and shove his hands into his coat pockets a moment before glancing back to her. She voiced concerns for the next mission. More specifically concerns for the one hiring them. It was true he was highly unlikely to know what he was getting into. Still Julius would take a deep breath before continuing to walk. Brushing her arm aside as he did so. "No one here knows of us. Knows of our capabilities. The mission itself is live combat experience for the objective. So long as we show some restraint take him down quickly however you like. More over any report of this will likely be designed to measure us. Efficiency is our friend here." He would smirk confidently as he finished speaking and continued down the road in silence for a while. Sweat appearing on his brow from all the walking. He just wanted a nap at this point. To get back and rest a little was a splendid idea. Maybe settle into his cot with a book until he took a nap. Still he would glance at her kunai and then her bow. Speaking once more.

"We don't know the limits of his abilities either. For now utilize archery. I will put up a barrier to shrug off his initial rush. After that its your ball game."

They would only walk a little bit further before spotting a young man leaning against a tree checking his watch. It was approximately the time and location. The boy spotted them and then glanced down at a piece of paper before looking at them again and smiling as they approached. Their descriptions matched apparently. Julius would watch the boy enter the street and place his fist into his open palm before bowing his head. He was eager to get started it seemed. Julius would bow to him slightly in turn before glancing to his sister. As he looked away he felt the air current change. The hair on the back of his neck rising as electricity built. The boy was already preparing a jutsu. Without looking Julius formed the correct hand seals and as he looked back rose his wind barrier just as a lightning javelin burst against it followed by two more. He would frown a moment before stepping to the side. The boy was already preparing another jutsu that seemed to require him to plant himself. A poor move against an archer. Julius would turn and head idly back to the boat as his sister made quick work of the mission. This one they didn't need a signature for. So long as the kid made it back to the village they would get paid. His sister was likely to catch up to him before he would retire to bed to rest. It had been a long day.

Cleo followed behind her brother, taking heed of his advice and pulling her bow off of her body and carrying it in her left hand. She was less than enthused about the not killing part, but when Julius mentioned it was ‘her ball game’ she perked up considerably. He always knew how to cheer her up. As they came upon a young man leaning against a tree her heart started beating quicker, this was undoubtedly their target as he pushed himself off the tree trunk and looked down at a paper and back up at them with a smile. She matched the young man's smile with one of her own, though hers was decidedly closer to a predatory baring of her teeth than a charming grin. As he put away the paper Cleo pulled an arrow from the quiver at her hip, she had been instructed to not maim or kill anyone, so she would use her least damaging arrows for this boy.

Nocking the arrow and pulling it into a half draw in one fluid motion she channeled fuuton chakra into her bow and stood calmly as Julius raised his wind barrier, expertly deflecting the lightning javelins headed straight for them. The moment the jutsu was deflected she raised her bow, aimed for the boys left leg and fired, releasing her arrow imbued with her Wind Auger jutsu. It slammed into the young man’s leg with a satisfying ‘thwack’ noise, propelled swiftly by the fuuton chakra spiralling around the arrow, though she hardly had time to appreciate the beauty of it as she had already drawn another as the first left her bow and had nocked and drawn it back prepared to fire. She released a succession of three more arrows in this manner, one for each of his limbs, her slightly maniacal grin widening with each wince of pain as the arrows drove their way into the young man’s flesh. Drawing and nocking another arrow she stood and aimed at their opponent, now without her brother as she saw him turn and walk idly away. She was hardly concerned though, to an outside observer it may have appeared as though she were being abandoned, that was hardly the case. The threat had passed and now her brother was letting her have her fun, like any loving brother would.

She stared the young man down and couldn’t resist the urge to call out to him a teasing lilt in her voice, “Well then, do you yield? Or do I get to shoot you a few more times? Because I’m still having fun.” The young man sunk to his knees in obvious pain, the arrows in his legs making the process very difficult, and he shakily held up a hand. “Yield, yes, fine. Don’t shoot.” Cleo lowered her bow and slung it over her torso, replacing her arrow in her quiver and releasing her jutsu and she happily walked over to him to retrieve her arrows. They weren’t in too deep, if he went straight to the hospital he’d be fine, wouldn’t likely even have any scars to speak of. She knelt down and looked him in the eye before explaining what she was going to do in a calm and matter of fact voice. “This is going to hurt, don’t flinch or pull away or you’ll make it worse. After I’m done, go straight to a medical ninja, don’t try to be brave, never mess around with wounds. Oh, and thanks for letting me shoot you, you’re a good sport.” She quickly went from limb to limb, placing her hand around the base of each entry point and firmly easing the arrow out. She knew it probably hurt him a good deal as he grimaced and moaned, and she did her best not to add insult to injury by stifling her laughter.

She did somewhat regret that Julius had wandered off when he did, it would have been helpful if he had stayed to patch up the young man as she couldn’t necessarily guarantee that he would take the smart approach and go straight to a hospital or healer and not try to ‘tough it out’ as so many young men tended to do. It was the stupidest thing in her opinion, you simply could not ‘be tougher’ and make yourself stop bleeding, or not die. That was a damn f*cking bit of nonsense if she’d ever heard of one. But who was she to try to understand what went through most people’s heads when here she was happy that she had gotten to shoot someone? After retrieving her arrows she held them in her hand tip down, she would have to clean the blood off them later, and walked off towards the ship to find her brother, she knew Julius would be taking care of the details of the missions. The day had been a success as far as she was concerned, their first missions in Kumo had involved her getting to actually shoot people, well person, so she ran to catch up and huge smile on her face.
