Whether it was luck or fate, it was not known. There was no reason she should have been saved from the claws of her isolation, nor the unfortunate fact she never had any formal training, but she was, by the hands of a mysterious woman she knew as Ryome. From what she was told, she was part of a clan known as the Aisu, who had the power to convert their chakra with the element of Ice, by combining both Water and Wind chakra. She didn't quite understand why only their bloodline could do as such, as there were other Ninja in the world that had access to Water and Wind, but was at least happy it made her special in some way. It also helped her realize that her mother must be from that clan; there was no way scum like her father could have been something so great. Due to this, ever since she gained access to the Academy, Aura practiced using her genetic powers once she had managed to pull off both Water and Wind, at a dramatically increased pace compared to the younglings in her class. It was clear that Aura would be out of the Academy faster than any student in their history, but only simply due to the fact she was much older, and her body was more developed, allowing for such. If she had been younger, there was no doubt that it would have taken much longer. She planned on making sure no one in the school mentioned her at all in future classes after her graduation, to avoid unneeded attention. Suffice to say, it was still obvious she was somewhat of a prodigy; and in only a few weeks, her physical conditioning was much better, alongside the fact she could use Chakra period.

Today, she would be training herself in the little yard beside one of Kirigakure's only cafes, through means of meditation. It was a sort of image training she had thought of trying out, simply pitting herself against a double, but within the mind. Her imagination was deep and thoughtful, so it was a perfect passtime for her once she had managed to enhance the experience with her innate chakra. Within this astral projection of her two selves, they were playing around with the Supernatural Walking Practice they had learned recently. She had liked the idea of it since obtaining, but had figured she could apply its concept with her own twist, using Ice Release. They were putting their hands against each other's clothes, trying to develop condensation upon their palms, but ultimately failed to make such a subtle notion without drenching themselves. It was more of a wet wrestling match at this point, so, in frustration, Aura snapped out of her trance-like state, crossing her arms and staring at the ground like a pouting child. It was really hard controlling Ice Chakra, compared to what makes them, for sure. But she did feel its power, and so did the environment, whenever she had tried to harness it. The area around her was much colder than the rest of it, and the grass beneath her had been frosted over. It was just a matter of controlling it, and she knew this. With a small sigh, however, she'd give up for now, leaning back against the ground and staring up at the night sky, with their twinkling stars and miniscule amount of clouds being the only sources of interest. At least, it would be a source of interest, if she could see it. All those eyes saw was darkness. Thankfully, this was no longer figuratively.

Since she really wasn't that far off from the cafe building, anyone on the balcony or staring out the window would be able to see her. She had become a regular of it at this point, but never at the right times to meet anyone she could talk to normally. They just let her rent out that little spot for training since she also bought their herbal green tea every time she stopped by. But maybe this trip would be different for her...?

There was a strong allure to the color pink. Pink is the color of the cherry blossom; an especially elegant tree that represented the beauty of life. They would paint the ground pink with their leaves when springtime came, all their flowers blooming and wilting at the same time. It was an especially profound metaphor for how life was always fleeting moment within the vast scheme of things, that would eventually end as fate destined... More importantly, pink was also apparently the color of strawberries. It was something that he never understood, especially looking down at it now. The sliced strawberries on top of the desert in front of him were definitely red, at least. Why was it so common that strawberries, which were very clearly red, were put on to fluffy pink colored cakes with pink colored icing? It made no sense from a visual standpoint. The color pink definitely had these intensely profound metaphors attached to it, but the cake definitely should have been red. Yes, Chigetsu decided that would make more sense. It wasn't at all that eating a fluffy pink desert made him embarrassed, just that it would be more visually appealing if it was red. The slight amount of laughter from inside the café would immediately startle the boy from his thoughts and make him slink down in his chair as if attempting to hide. The balcony was pleasantly empty, which allowed him a nice secluded area to eat his dessert, but at the same time it made him feel as if he was doing something wrong. Every little bit of movement or noise from inside made him panic and freeze up, trying to hide his sinning from the rest of the world.

"Well? You came out here and ordered your little pansy woman's desert. Aren't you going to at least see it through?" The sound of that voice would cause a groan to erupt in the boy's throat. It definitely didn't made it any easier to eat when his own silverware was berating him too. "Or did you want to put on a dress and some lipstick first?" "I don't!-…" Chigetsu would almost yell in protest at that before realizing and dropping his voice down to a whisper. "...I don't wear lips-" The absurdness of him having to respond to something like that hit him like a ton of bricks. "Coward. What kind of man eats frilly deserts and then lies to themselves to about it? If you're going to bring shame to your family at least admit it. Own it! That would salvage what little masculinity you have left!" Chigetsu would be caught in a scowl. This butter knife was being a real jackass. You'd think it'd at least have some self-awareness, especially since it was a knife designed for spreading butter. He couldn't exactly defend himself in a public place like this though. "Eating strawberries doesn't make me less masculine..." He would pick one of the strawberry slices carefully off the top of the cake, licking off the icing before placing it in his mouth. "You rabbity little sissy. If you would just admit the truth to yourself you wouldn't even have a problem, but you don't want the trut-"The butter knife would promptly go silent as Chigetsu picked it up and threw it off the balcony into the garden yard below. Enough was enough. Plus, he didn't even need a knife to eat this.

It occurred to Chigetsu after throwing the knife that there had been a person down in the yard where he threw it. He had seen her earlier, sitting in some vaguely-meditative looking stance, but hadn't paid too much attention. Even if it was a butter knife, it was still a knife. Immediately after he realized what he had done the panic would set in. He would watch in absolute horror as the knife twirled through the air. From his position up in the balcony Chigetsu could see exactly where it was going to land. The sharpish end would collide straight into the earth, perhaps an inch away from where the girl's head had been. Even though the edge was especially dull the height from which it was thrown made it so that the knife dug nearly an inch into the ground, giving it the impression that it was thrown on purpose.

"S-Sorry!" He would call down immediately afterward, cupping his hands around his mouth so hopefully she would hear.

Nova had not been in Kiri long and had been searching for a cafe or teahouse that felt right for her routine of drinking tea, eating bakes goods and reading a book. There were few options in the city, the first one she tried having been dreadful with weakly steeped tea and stale bakery items, and the second was not as comfortable an atmosphere as she had hoped for, not a single cushion in sight on the wooden seats. “The Bloom” was an indoor outdoor cafe near the edge of the city, nearby a small peaceful lake. Though their bakery's menu was not at extensive as Nova's favorite place in Kumo, Cloud Nine, Nova ordered a lavender tea with honey and a baklava then walked outside to the cafes own garden. Nova had read that the owners of The Bloom had planted their own garden at first to selfsustain their tea supply, now after years of tending there were several dozen varieties of herbs and flowers almost all used in their teas. Off to the side of the garden, behind the cafe itself, there  was a calm lake, its glass-like surface rippling gently only when a bird might land or a fish come to the top. Nova found a large marble bench lined with cushion next to a bird feeder covered in ivy and decided to settle here for a short while, to enjoy the weather and herbal smell that drifted throughout the garden from the greenery planted there.

Her attire this evening was simple, black shorts and a tank top, with a warm cardigan draping from her shoulders in an emerald green to keep her from shivering in the night air. Her hair tumbled down her shoulders and back, auburn fading to a teal at the end. Placed on marble pedastles placed throughout the garden, groups of candles burned together, causing shadows to flicker about with the orange glow. Warm and comforting, the small flames illuminated the garden enough to see fairly well. Pulling a book from her bag, she settled into the cushions and opened the cover as she waited for her order to come. From between two blossoming trees Nova was able to see the two story tall cafe from her seat, as well as a small clearing in which a girl had been sitting since Nova got there. A well dressed man came around the corner of the cafe and walked towards Nova with a tray, bringing her steaming tea and baklava and setting it beside her. Nova thanked the man and began sipping at the tea, the hot lavender warming her hands as she grasped the cup between them. Looking back at the girl in the clearing, Nova notices she had been sitting motionless for some time before she stirred and looked up to the sky, flopping back down on the grass. Though the wind had a chill to it, there was no immediately apparent reason for the fact that the blades of grass around where the girl lay frosted slightly.

The white haired in girl who lay in the ring of frosted grass appeared to be very young, perhaps even acadamy age. Not yet even a genin, though it appeared that she may already have a grasp on her chakra, perhaps even some jutsu's that Nova didn't recognize. Leaning back against the bench, Nova swung her right leg over the left, the wooden foot of her left leg flat on the ground. Tearing a bite out of the flaky pastry, Nova looked on in interest, able to hear the soft sound of conversation carrying form the patio on the second floor above the girl who lay there. A small outburst from someone there cause Nova to look up for a second, spotting a white haired individual shouting at a piece of cutlery before tossing it off the edge of the balcony. The silver blade of a butter knife glinted in the moonlight as it spun through the air, before falling to the ground just a foot away from the white haired girls head in the grass, embedding into the soft soil tip first as it landed. Nova had, without noticing, stood up and started toward the girl as she saw the knife leave the persons hand. At first the person who had flung the knife looked content with their actions, then a look of worry cross their face and then shouted down, "S-Sorry!", appearing to have been aware of the girls presence even without being able to see him from where he sat.

Nova strode over slowly, wooden leg pronouncing her limp, “Excuse me, You really ought to be a little more careful with your silverware up there. You almost hit the girl that's out in the garden, nearly hit her in the face!”, Nova shouted up at the person on the balcony and approaching the girl herself, a tinge of anger and irritation in her voice. Standing just a few feet away from the white haired girl she saw her cloudy blue eyes that seemed to stare up at nothing. Nova leaned down slowly and pulled the knife from the earth, examining it briefly and saw a fluffy pink crème along the blade, the dirt and blades of grass sticking it it. While kneeling Nova stuck her hand out to the girl and asked, “are you okay dear?”.

Aura's mind had quickly became blank the more she stared absently into the indigo night sky. As frustrated as she was with her lack of friends, as well as lack of progress in her training, she just couldn't seem to hold in such an emotion for long. It wasn't her nature, and only lingered in the most extreme of situations, like with her foster family. It was all replaced with silence and darkness, as it were when trying to sleep within her new home. At least, it was per normal, until an image began to grow within her head. That was new to her; since she could never even comprehend the simple world of colors, it was extremely uncommon for her to have dreams where they appeared. What she saw was the figure of what she could only assume was a woman. This was due to the bumps the shadow had along their chest, which Aura knew was the breasts. They walked towards her slowly and methodically, not making any sign of stopping, a weird shape along their face. Despite all of this, Aura could only feel calm at the sight...perhaps even joy. The closer they got, the more colorful they had gotten, adding black to some black leather clothing, to the paleness of their skin, the deep purples of their eyes, all coming together in...a mask. It reminded her of a broken skull, with what she assumed ice shards sticking out from the sides. The significance of it was lost to her, but she felt herself reaching out to it...

"...Mom?"

Aura's fever dream ended with a shock throughout her whole body, inching just a tad as a cake-covered butter knife slid into the earth right above her head, as though thrown intentionally. Thankfully, alarm bells weren't really going off; she didn't figure someone was attacking her, and was only surprised out of her dream...a dream she could only describe as being her mother. There was no way for her to know, but it brought out a burning curiosity within the girl. She would have pursued it, if it hadn't been for the knife. Eventually, she would hear someone up on, where she assumed, the balcony, exclaiming they were sorry for almost taking her down. It only brought confusion to her as she sat up, making sure there was no loose debris in her pure white hair, though she would speak up after.

"H-Hey, it's okay! I'm f-"

As if she wasn't being interrupted enough today, someone else had ran to the scene. A woman, from what she could assume out of the voice, since it was much closer than the far-off one from earlier. Simply put, this other new being was yelling at the knife thrower from before, scolding them for almost hurting her. If she was being honest, it felt good that someone was caring for her well being, even if it was really fine, with her not being in much trouble. She figured that even if it was on purpose, the sudden jerking of her body must have saved her. Maybe the little Kunoichi was getting progress done after all. That wasn't the issue at hand, though. Two new people in her life were interacting with the young woman, and it was time to act, and let the woman know that she was okay, as that was the question she was asked.

"O-oh...y-yeah, I'm fine. Really, I am.
I don't actually know what happened, though..."

She managed to bring her dazed gaze to meet Nova's, though not quite able to truly lock it. It was obvious something was wrong with Aura, but nothing actually recent. Due to the absence of mind within those pale blue orbs, it was safe to assume she was blind. This held no meaning to the youngling, though, as she slowly smiled to convey she was in a content mood. It wouldn't be nice to let others worry for her, after all, even if it did feel good. Now was the time to see where these events would take her...

Something had audibly dropped within Chigetsu's chest. His emotions sloshed around inside his stomach for a moment, turning in a way that only added to his discomfort. He had kept his eyes trained down tight on the female. The knife had very clearly slid into the ground beside her, but the idea that he had injured her was still stuck in his head. The fear rolled around and tumbled until she shook for her stillness. "H-Hey, it's okay! I'm f-" For a moment his dread would dry up, evaporating with her words. The feeling lasted for perhaps a second, and then the other had butted in. Chigetsu hadn't noticed her before she spoke up. “Excuse me, You really ought to be a little more careful with your silverware up there. You almost hit the girl that's out in the garden, nearly hit her in the face!” His head would swing on his neck as soon as the first word had been spoken. Chigetsu's embarrassment had risen nearly tenfold as soon as he saw Nova. Somebody else witnessing what he did somehow make it feel as if he had been caught in the middle of committing a crime and was about to be sent off to the executing block. Was this an attempted murder? He suddenly didn't know anymore, unable to think clearly.

"You really messed up." His attention would be pulled away from his panicking thoughts by a voice from his rear. There had not been anyone else on the balcony before. Chigetsu had specifically chosen it as a location in the café that was empty. His typical location of choice of the far corners of the building were occupied, and that was what forced him up into the balcony. There wasn't a bone in his body that would have dared speak in even whispers to his butter knife had he thought there was another within earshot that could potentially overhear. It made the presence of the voice over his shoulder incredibly shocking. Immediately he would turn around, whipping himself to stare at where it had come from with such a force that it even startled himself. There wasn't a soul on the balcony with him. The other tables were unoccupied at the moment, bare except for their silverware and parasols- "Do you feel good about yourself?" "You nearly killed her. "You could have killed her." "Nearly put her eye out." "...stabbed her in the nose." He saw now where the voice had come from. Chigetsu slumped down. "How could he do something so cruel?" "...so heartless." "No respect." "A ruffian by nature, of course. How could you expect anything else?" "...and who would let a cad like that into here?" "The boy's a step away from being a child murderer." "Mop-Stick. Somebody ought to stop him from..." "Somebody drag the fop out." "...ought there to be security to stop his sort from entering? Where are they?" "Somebody should teach the kid a lesson." "Just toss him out. No need to get your hands dirty." "Filth, attacking such a young girl." "You could smell it on him when he came in." "...milksop!" He would reach up to wipe his face with his palm. His hand came away wet, covered with sweat. They were probably right. The voices would all rise up at once, all speaking over each other. He couldn't really make out all of what they were saying. "Take him away." "Get out." "Away." "Bring someone in." Go." "Killer." "You wanted to, didn't you?" "Out." It felt as if a hundred people were speaking at once. Chigetsu wasn't sure of it, but he thought there couldn't have been that many pieces of silverware in the building. It changed quickly, moving from voices speaking over each other to just fragments of sentences. He needed to leave. Chigetsu could never return to this building. Never again. He stood up from his seat, prepared to throw himself off the balcony in order to escape. The realization that he had not paid for his meal was the only thing that stopped him. His vision shifted hazily to the interior of the café. It was too loud, nobody would be able to hear him. There was no chance for him to call over the waiter that had served him. The price of what he had ordered was missing from his memory, and the math required to calculate a suitable tip was too much for him to comprehend. Chigetsu felt like he might be sick. An inordinate amount of ryo would be pulled from his coin purse and left on the table, beside his uneaten slice of pink cake.

He would attempt to stand after that, but Chigetsu was much too stiff. The table would be bumped unnecessarily "Failure" and the chair would be bumped off to the "Killer." side from under him. Even with how strongly he desired to just be out of this situation, Chigetsu's legs weren't cooperating. They had partially liquefied against his will, jiggling and trembling like jelly. With how much he was sweating at the moment it surprised him that there was still enough fluid in his body to liquify. Even so, Chigetsu would take a step forward despite how unsteady he was. He shouldn't have. His form was too unstable to walk, and he would collapse with that next step. Chigetsu would fall against the balcony. The semi-solid nature of his body worked against him, and his weight would force him right through the barred railing. He fell for a fraction of a second through the air before hitting the ground, smacking against it with a sickeningly liquid smacking sound.

Away from the cacophony of voices and sounds that suddenly erupted on the balcony it was much quieter. The nameless voices of the posh silverware had receded, now a barely audible whisper. The fall hadn't even hurt that much. Chigetsu was sure the bruise would only last perhaps a week at most. He had only been on the second floor anyway, so the fall wasn't so bad. It was so much immediately better. The unnatural panic of the audience in his mind was replaced with the natural panic that he had earlier, from when he realized that he had nearly killed a child with a butter knife. He got up now, shifting himself back into something somewhat solid. It seemed almost silly now. It was a knife that was meant to spread butter. Still, Chigetsu had a duty to make sure that everything was fine. It didn't matter if he still wanted to run. The two girls weren't all too far away from him in the first place, so it wasn't as he could escape their notice and flee anyhow. Without seeming to realize that his fall off the balcony might have attracted attention, Chigetsu would sheepishly approach both Aura and Nova. "I didn't stab you?" He would call to them as he approached. "No knife?" His words came out jumbled. He had to take a small moment to readjust. It had been a long time since he had actually spoken to somebody that could be considered a peer. He would clear his throat, trying to shift out the jelly from his vocal cords. "I... You're okay-" "Come back for seconds?" Chigetsu would freeze. The knife. He could hear it again, coming from the woman who had scolded him from before. Chigetsu couldn't look at it. He wouldn't dare look at her, making sure to keep his eyes focused on Aura alone. "Uh, Did you- "Three little girls all playing together." -scared? I mean, were you scared? I didn't mean "Isn't it sweet?" to scare, uh." He would bite his lower lip. What he was going to say was now lost to him. Running away seemed appealing again. "Go ahead. Run. You would." "I wouldn't- I shouldn't have thrown you at her." He paused. "Her at you. It at you, I mean. Hahaha..." He didn't know why he was laughing. It wasn't much of a laugh either. It was just painfully awkward and uncomfortable.

The girls eyes seemed to look through her as she responded to Nova's question and did not see the hand that reached out to help her up. After realizing this Nova would offer the girl help up and should she accept it, Nova would take her hand in hers and help her up off the grass, the green blades cracking under their touch so fragile from being frozen. Though young, the girl was only slightly shorter than her, their eyes could have met easily had she vision through them. Nova watched the girl slightly before seeing a jolt of motion from upon the balcony, the individual seated there jolted upright, sending the table wobbling and the chair falling backwards. Though now standing upright, their legs were trembling and they began walking towards the fence that edged the platform, though stumbling may have been a better description, with a panicked expression painted across his face. They walked as though intoxicated, legs wobbling beneath them. Their legs acted like jelly, and not in a figurative sense, they seemed... not entirely solid. As though their body was liquifying. Stumbling forward, Nova saw them fall against the balcony railing, and sliding right through the bars which were far too close together to do if one was solid.

Nova dropped the white haired girls hand and sprinted towards the falling individual, who landed meters in front of her with a sickening splat. Though she would have sworn that they would not be able to get up from the sound, they sat up slowly and stood, legs looking more firm to stand on than before. Looking closer, it looked as though the person who had falled was a boy, about Nova's age, with white hair and red eyes. Though appearing fine, if a little bruised, physically, Nova was concerned that he may have hit his head as he began stammering out incomplete bits of sentences. On his face was etched panic and nervousness, which only seemed to be exacerbated when he looked at the dirty butter knife in Nova's hand. The words coming out of his mouth seemed disjointed and jumbled, but it seemed that he was trying to form an apology for the flinging of the knife. Nova's original anger at the close call on danger subsided, and now she felt concern not only for the girl who had come so close to being impaled but this poor boy who had fallen from the second story balcony.

Nova tossed the butter knife off to the side and shrugged, “I was just worried, someone could have gotten hurt. Speaking of..” Nova reached her hand out and gingerly put it on the boys shoulder, “Are you okay too? That was a nasty fall you took there. If you are got hurt just let me know where, I would heal it for you” Nova looked up and down as they stood there, concern winning out over anger and wanting to make everything okay. “I'm Nova by the way... sorry for interjecting myself in this.. I just wanted to make sure everyone was fine and didn't get hurt. What are your names by the way? Might I treat you both to tea to calm your nerves?” Nova said warmly, feeling protective over these two for a reason she could not identify.

Lady Luck shined upon Aura today. First, Nova, the woman who was concerned after the butter knife nearly slid through her forehead, soon after realizing the young girl could not exactly see, had helped her up manually, and her ice cold skin greedily sucked up any warmth Nova might have had as she draped her arms around them. It was mostly to get up, but she couldn't help but admit the warmth of most people's skin felt good to her, and she relished any contact with it. Once situated, she would restrain herself from further contact, stepping back politely and bowing a bit to show her thanks and respect. After this came the funnier, yet weirder, part of her luck.

It wasn't very long after being grounded again that the last third of this tale, Chigetsu, had decided to jump off the balcony of the cafe and land with a watery splat on the ground. She could feel Nova's footsteps as this happened, quick to hopefully catch the boy, but it was to no avail. That being said, Aura had no idea of who or what it could have actually been, since this was all the flavor text provided to her. With a nonchalant shrug, she just followed the other woman over towards the disruptive activity, only to realize it was the same person to throw the knife at her in the first place. To her pleasant surprise, it was an attempt at a formal apology, as riddled with crazed murmurs and stutters as it was. The smile on her face never disappeared throughout, though thoughts began to piece together in her mind about Chi. At least, it's what she thought; perhaps he was scared of butter knives? It was a big stretch in logic, but she tilted her head and indulged into it, going out and gingerly acquiring the butter knife after it was thrown out. After doing so, her arm became surrounded in a dense mass of water chakra, exuding tremendous blunt force for a cutie like her, before slamming her fist into the flat of the blade, splitting it into two pieces like a random stick. With her job done, she disposed of the pieces of metal, dissipated the chakra in her system, then shrugged with a smirk as she walked over at the opportunity for tea.

"Well, since you're offering, why not? It'd be a great way to start over today! We could be friends! Oh, my name is Aura, by the way, what about you two? It's so nice to meet good people..."

As for Chi's apology, despite her lack of verbal confirmation, it was clear from her attitude that she either completely forgave him, or simply forgot the cataclysmic event even happened to begin with. All's well that ends well, right? Especially when it ends with the creation of bonds that may or may not last a lifetime. Tea time for the three is a good way to reset, after all!

Dilated eyes stared blankly at the two women, comprehension lost from them. His awkward laughing had very quickly died into awkward silence. Scattered halves of the two women danced about hazily in his vision. That these girls weren't actually moving back and forth and it was just his eyes playing tricks on him became clear after a moment. If his mind was in a clearer state Chigetsu might have started worrying about the effect that fall had on his head, but his own preoccupation with his perceived shame took up what little mental processing power he had remaining.

Nova's hand reaching out to rest on the boy's shoulder nearly made Chigetsu jump out of his own skin. His mental daze made her reaching out to him completely unnoticed, lost until his spinning vision reconnected. The touch was enough to make him tense up entirely, clenching shut like a frightened clam. Bright red eyes would turn to gaze at her, wide as dinner plates. The mental clarity that had temporarily left him returned all at once, separating him quick from the status of 'imminently about to faint' that he had been in just moments ago. Set on the defensive once again, the stuttering mess that was Chigetsu would attempt to defend himself.

"No! N-No, No. IIIII'm 'kay. Not hurt." He was very clearly hurt. Chigetsu would shift himself downwards, shrinking away from the touch as delicately as he could. His response would be slurred and quick, sounding as if he had said it with as fast as he could while simultaneously having a mouthful of water. Despite how sure Chigetsu was that he would be fine after the fall, maintaining his solid form was becoming a bit difficult. He could already feel his legs trembling as if they were made out of jelly. Although that could just have been his nervousness.

The sudden flood of chakra into the air distracted him away from considering the rest of what Nova had said. The mass of water that had surrounded Aura's hands caught him off guard, and as soon as they popped up it would send him twisting on his heel. He was absolutely positive that they would be send hurdling directly into his gut as a punishment for his earlier actions. Immediately his hands would go up to show that he was unarmed, and also to prepare to beg for mercy.

And then the butter knife was crushed in half. In his temporary daze he had lost track of it and nearly forgotten its presence. That was most likely for the best, but the blind girl destroying the piece of silverware had completely thrown him off guard now. "T-That was from the c-" He was about to let out a word of protest that the butter knife hadn't actually been his in the first place when he would be cut off. An intense screaming would release all at once, emanating from the now destroyed knife. The knife that had earlier been absolutely radiating with machismo would now be screeching in pain after what Aura had done it. Chigetsu's eyes would watch the two pieces carefully as they begged and pleaded. The intensity shook him silent and still.

Chigetsu swallowed audibly. Sweat ran down the back of his neck now, brought on by that gratuitous display of violence. The screams of the knife would very quickly begin to die down into pathetic little whimpers. All the same the voice stuck in the back of his mind, the image flashing in his head as he stared at Aura. Only as the knife faded into silence would he be able to compose himself enough to respond.

"I'm Chigetsu." His voice was small, but much steadier than it had been before. He was no longer able to stutter. "Tea sounds nice."

He was entirely convinced that he would be snapped in half like that butter knife if he did not accept.
