Yosei wrote:
Ninjas dressed in black, with silver serpents marking their claim to Ryujin's legacy, would descend with ruthless precision, slicing through the squads which assembled to protect the ANBU who struggled to maintain the colossal barrier which housed the warring giants. No match for the sudden dispersal from within, formations of Mist military would be rendered suddenly naught, unable to tell friend from foe as new, strange enemies made themselves known. Still, the majority of the chaos remained in tow, coupled with the swathe of men and women who cascaded in waves, screaming and spluttering the names of their ancient gods, prayers, and curses lifted on high by the chorus of their hatred. Doubtless, the shinobi of the Great Nations would adjust in kind, and form new squads, but the damage was done, and the blood spilled en masse through the sand. Even as more reinforcements arrived from the surrounding Village forward bases, they would find themselves entering the thick of a brutal conflict. Held prisoner in the sands for years, the wrath of its people spoke for itself, drowning out the sound of signal and communication with spiteful vitriol, malice, and violence. Around the arena within which the silent duel took place, decorum became discord, collapsing in waves from the outside in. The horde of heinous notions which spread out wide caught the first shinobi's eyes and pulled away their attention from the surprise attack. With no techniques at their disposal and the wits and training of ordinary men, the majority of the soldiers who took up arms and crashed, with surprising force, into the southernmost lines of defence, would be slaughtered before the day was through.

The banded troops of the Ryujin, Sunagakure shinobi and fervent seekers of revenge already collide with the first line of defence of gathered shinobi troops by the time Mizuki had arrived to join the fight. Needless to say that, despite the obvious lack of decent training, the vast amount of troops that came crashing down upon the allied forces still created a blood bath few would forget. Golden sand grains turned thick and red in colour as the blood of the fallen was greedily absorbed by the dry lands of Sunagakure. Once more, though at a lesser degree, Sunagakure would be bathing in blood, collecting the names of the brave that had stood up for its honour and those that would later be reminded in silence by the dead that had preceded them.

Mizuki felt no joy when Seiun cleaved through the air to strike down the first radicalised member that ran up to her and did not succeed to stop the kunoichi's advance in the slightest. His death would be a swift one, the blade master needing one strike only to end his life without suffering. The ronin executioner's Sword of Compassion. Every strike merciful as it took life. Not once feeling a moment of joy. Only sorrow and pity that death had to be dealt. Pushing back the thoughts on her own training, she no longer embodied Hastur's voice. She, along with other Kumo-nin, now embodied his divine wrath, weapons flashing under the bright sun of Sunagakure.

Though rich was the amount of men that made up Sunagakure's avengers, the front line sank away like butter melting in the frying pan. These men were barely trained, their lives considered forfeit by whoever had riled them up even before they had made their move. And yet the kunoichi would not be given a moment of respite despite the lack of their skill. Seiun would flicker time and time again, blade cleaving through the air to take out those that ran up to her. Her movements were fluid as playful rivers meandering through the land, trained to nigh perfection by sheer practice and experience. The calm resolution with which she moved through the first wave not dissimilar to being the eye of the storm which raged around her. Blue-green eyes would at the same time look around to assess the situation, figuring out which shinobi squads could use a helping hand to assure a brief victory - the ANBU holding up the barrier being the main goal of the enemy troops had to be protected at all cost as the two power horses inside clashed with powers unbridled and unmatched.

Having dealt with the outrunners on the west side, the herald of Hastur eventually reached the thick of the conflict where her clean boots would quickly be drenched by richly flowing blood by necessary allies and unexpected enemies alike, her white desert robes becoming the war painter's canvas as splatters of red would stain them. Stepping in to parry the attack of an opponent against a younger Kiri-nin, the sudden intervention allowed the boy to deliver the killing blow before she gave him a curt nod of recognition. At his side, two of his friends laid already dead in their own blood, the boy left as the only member of his squad and tethering on the verge of hopelessness and frenzy alike in his attempt to survive this undesired war.

"Hold ground, Kiri-nin. It's only a matter of time before more of your allies join you."

Her words would not cause miracles but a sense of tension seemed to ebb away as the words of the Lady of Storms reached him. Mizuki would look to her side, having expected Daremo to follow her, and called out to him.

"What do you make of this Daremo-dono? Considering your rank, would you suggest we aim for the centre of the masses and drive a wig between them?"

Seiun would clash with a more solid strike as the last of her words left her lips, the killing intent she saw reflected in her assaulter's eyes grown dull from experience in the delivering of death. This warrior was of a different calibre, that much was certain. His battle attire and stance confirmed her findings, the light armour showing that he had earned his coin somehow through battle. The wear and tear of his armour betrayed he had done more than ploughing the land and hastily being taught how to handle a weapon. This one had fought. His blade would move again but his experience would fail him. As he raised his weapon with the idea of striking again, leaving a critical opening in his defences, Mizuki's katana would not hesitate. A short step-in as she followed his movement, a brief stab in his direction purposely aimed to push him back would be followed suit as her opponent failed to see the tactical feign, leaving an even greater opening in his defences now. Her follow-up strike would be fatal, decapitating the man's arm in one moment before the blade's tip would make a half circle through the air and end up close to his neck. Seiun would sever his head from his body, the red of his blood strangely alluring on the mystic purple and gold of the katana.

Description:
[Permanent -10 chakra]
Having Kaminari blood from her mother's side and being taught her father's Heaven Sword Style has improved her understanding of Raiton (and indirectly the Raiu's Storm Release as well), allowing Mizuki's affinity for Raiton chakra to bloom into a new form. Mizuki reduces all Raiton damage by 1 rank, but also suffers 1 rank more damage from Fuuton due to her strong affinity.

Name: Water Release: Bubblegum
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: C
Type: Defensive
Element: Suiton
Range: Personal
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Maintained, 5 chakra/post
Cooldown: Duration x1.5 posts
Description:
After performing the dog hand seal, the user blows a bubble of suiton chakra into existence similar in execution as blowing bubblegum into shape. The layer of chakra surrounds the user in a 3 meter radius wide bubble and moves with the user. The bubble is invisible to the naked eye, but every time it is hit by a weapon, the chakra briefly becomes visible where it was struck, revealing a continued flow of water.

The continued flow of suiton chakra prevents all projectiles, thrown with a strength of B rank or lower, from getting through the bubble (counts for both directions). Chakra infused projectiles follow the basic rules of clashing against defensive jutsu, but non-weapon jutsu will not be blocked by this ability.

As for perceptive matters, all but sound-based sensory jutsu will remain unaffected. Since water generally distorts sounds of all kind, the flowing suiton chakra distorts sound-based detections by imposing a -1 rank to its effectiveness but does otherwise little to prevent detection.
The sharingan will not be able to see the user as the layer of chakra completely surrounds him in a globe, but tracking the chakra signature remains otherwise not the hardest of tasks. The byakugan, known to suffer some trouble with barriers, will be able to see the user through the chakra with a -1 tier penalty to perception.

Ryo Knetegawa

Chuunin
Ryo walked along with his clansman while they made their way deeper into the camp. Suddenly however, there was a loud cry from the southern lines of defense. Ryo snapped his attention in that direction before rushing there with all his speed. Soon enough he arrived at the location to find ninjas dressed in black. He swore loudly shaking his head “How dare they! Fine, then!” Snatching up his scroll with Kuro on it he summoned out his first-born son. Rolling it up in a series of rapid fluid movements he then attached his chakra strings using the focused threads. He needed his son to be the best that he possibly could be. He couldn’t afford for his puppet to be slow. He knew that he wasn’t the strongest shinobi among this group, but he would have to do his best. As soon as Kuro had his strings attached Ryo leapt into the fray. The first foe that he came in contact with was not an actual shinobi, nor was it someone trained in the ninja arts. They were just every day fools, just hopeless every day suckers. They were swindled by the charms and lies told them by these rebels and didn’t have a real lick of sense among them. Ryo couldn’t blame them, because he understood just how much they would’ve needed hope. They would’ve done anything for it. Ryo was in much that state himself, but he had his clan who were welcome arms to run into. These people likely had nothing.

Still, they were taking up arms against Kirigakure, and Kumogakure ready to spill all of the world into utter chaos. There was no apology to be given, so he made sure that he offered none. The first person to get close to him was riddled with Senbon from Kuro’s senbon shooter that was hidden inside of his throat. The three metal weapons sank into the man’s stomach between armor and cloth so that he had to drop. As the man dropped to his knees Ryo sent Kuro straight out at him with his fingers dancing he let Kuro’s mouth drop open and sink his fangs into the man’s throat chewing and pulling on it until finally Kuro’s mouth came away with a great chunk of flesh inside of his wooden mouth. The man dropped dead upon the ground, but Ryo didn’t have the time to wait he had to pay attention as another rushed towards them. It was another man, but this one had a spear and when it jabbed at him Ryo moved his puppet into shield him, Kuro was stronger than any weapon that these peasants could possibly hope to have, and it was true enough with a jerk on his strings and arms Kuro ripped away the spear breaking off the tip inside of his body. With a twitch of the appropriate finger the blade that was inside of Kuro’s tail slid out without a sound and the blade sang through the air stabbing into the man’s chest.

The blade was strong and forged by the best smiths as well as metal workers the Knetegawa had to offer. This made it much stronger than most of the weapons that they were going to fight. Pulling his blade away he continued to fight the rest of the peasants that came towards him. He was far superior than all of them, and he was not really put to the test at all. However, he was soon approached by a much harder and stronger opponent. Kuro’s tail blade was intercepted by a ninja blade. The song of steel rang out loudly and Ryo instantly knew this woman. She was a shinobi, she was not very skilled as far as shinobi went, she was much older than Ryo was, but she was no better than he was now. He was always improving, but she was not at all. The blades began to dance again and again the song of steel singing loudly. She was nearly a match for him, but Ryo didn’t play fair, and Kuro surged forward slashing through one of the woman’s legs. She gave a gasp of pain, and Ryo sent the blade to slash through the woman’s chest before stabbing it into her throat. He shook his head in disgust at the waste of it all. There was just so much wastefulness that was going on, and there was just so much nonsense that was going on.

He groaned loudly as he turned Kuro to another pathetic moron who was no shinobi, just some idiot who decided to pull up a sword and put on some armor. His blade didn’t help him out much in the battle, and Ryo found that he was able to breath. He knelt down on the first man he had killed, and he snatched up the trio of senbon cleaning them, and then putting them back into Kuro’s senbon Shooter. Now that it was reloaded he nodded his head with the action done. He was ready to finish the rest of his battle, and he hadn’t finished his task a moment too soon. No sooner had he stood than a man closed in on him ready to attack with a much larger sword in hand. Ryo gave a cry of alarm pointing his two right fingers like a pistol and ‘shot’ the man with 15 ‘bullets’ of lightning chakra slamming into the would-be attacker and dropped him dead to the ground. Ryo sighed as he shook his head he couldn’t believe that he was so stupid as to allow himself to be surprised by a foe. He was sighing heavily, but there was naught to be done about it now, he would have to continue to fight.

Name: Generic Sealing Technique (Han'yō Fūin no Jutsu ~ 汎用封印の術)
Canon/Custom: Canon.
Rank: E.
Type: Supplementary.
Element: None.
Range: Direct contact.
Specialty: Fūinjutsu.
Duration: Instantaneous.
Cooldown: None.
Description: This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu. Scrolls are the most common choice for item storage. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice, either on the ground or in-hand.
The jutsu can be used to either store an item in something or to summon it from something, but it can’t do both.
This jutsu can only seal the user's items, or items that were stolen from a target for more than 3 posts, or items stolen from a KO'd or killed character.
This jutsu has a variable chakra cost depending on the item summoned from the scroll/other item.
B-Rank: Five Chakra.

Name: Puppet Technique (Kugutsu no Jutsu ~ 傀儡の術)
Canon/Custom: Canon.
Rank: E.
Type: Supplementary.
Element: None.
Range: 30m.
Specialty: Kugutsu.
Duration: -5 per post
Cooldown: Duration +1 post.
Description: This jutsu generates long, fibrous, malleable chakra strings from each of the user's fingers. They are partially intangible to prevent tangling; this jutsu cannot be used to bind people. The condensed chakra takes a hue of variable color depending on the user. Use of this technique on puppets is only available to those with the Kugutsu specialty. However, people without skill in Puppetry can still generate chakra strings to control weapons they have the specializations to wield, within 30m. This consists of whipping them around like a flail or yo-yo, or controlling their path of travel when thrown. Unless durability is enhanced by a separate technique, these chakra strings can be broken by any D rank technique that causes blunt force, cutting, or piercing damage.

This technique cannot control living people; it can only control corpses, or Human Puppets currently in the user's locker.
Focused control:
The user, with these strings, is able to literally control their puppets with such mastery as if they were basically human themselves. The concentration at this level requires they dedicate themselves into only one or two puppets, but they operate without any negatives what so ever, and move at the user's speed and reaction times.

Name: Lightning Release: Shock Bullets (雷遁・衝撃弾 ~ Raiton: Shōgeki-dan)
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Element: Lightning
Range: 20m
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Instantaneous
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: Electricity is built up in the fingertips of the user who then makes a gun-like pose with their hands (both middle and index finger extended). From this position, small (about the size of a tennis ball) "bullets" of electricity may be fired at will that travel 15m/s. These bullets deliver painful shocks at the point of contact and can singe clothing and leave minor 1st degree burns due to releasing its charge upon impact with any solid object. The resulting impact is enough to parry/redirect small projectiles (kunai/senbon/shuriken) midair, but are non-lethal as they lack the ability to piece flesh because of the discharge upon impact. One or both hands may be used, but only 15 "rounds" in total may be fired before the electrical charge in the user's fingertips is depleted. No hand signs are necessary to initiate the jutsu allowing for a fast draw.

Fuyuko

Special Jounin
Fuyuko’s body had readied itself as she watched the man face plant into the scorching sand. Her gaze fixated as the body slowly and briefly grazed over the burning hot grains. She was baffled and completely caught by surprise because of the scenario that was slowly unfolding. With each passing second the scene that had been setup became more and more chaotic. At first she merely assumed it was a fight with a mad man, fighting the Mizukage for a silly reason. Potential reasons as trying to prove their own strength or perhaps they were seeking revenge. But as time slowly inched forward those thoughts disappeared and got replaced by other thoughts. Ideas where the masked person isn't mad, but instead slowly but surely unfolding the true purpose of the fight. It wasn't something she would be able to discern though and quite frankly while she might have the brain capacity to think about such things, her mind was preoccupied.

The scream send her mind to places that were not appropriate on the battlefield. They were too distracting and if anything were probably the reason she would end up getting seriously injured or even potentially killed. And it wasn’t necessarily having the thoughts in the midst of battle that would have her end up in a bad way, it was the content of the thoughts or rather the restraints that the thoughts put on her. However she started to question herself. Why was she hesitating even in such a moment? Normally the reason for her hesitation was that she was unsure if people really deserved to be punished the way they got punished. If the soil she was standing on was that of Kirigakure, without a doubt that person would be punished with death. Seeing as they’re attacking the mist villages ninja it wasn’t going to be any different. Yet Fuyuko still felt hesitation within her creeping up. They had just murdered someone in cold blood, right in front of her eyes. And still she felt sorry for the person, still she felt compassion and a need to bring that person redemption. Would she be able to end that persons life or would she try to spare them.

The body had stopped moving over the sand as the perpetrator continued their advance forward. With their weapon in hand they made a quick advancement, closing the gap between themselves and the group of onlookers in mere seconds. Commands being yelled back and forth between the mist shinobi on how to handle the attackers. It didn’t come as a surprise at all when they yelled that all hostile targets should be eliminated and non should be spared. Some of the man ran forward to meet the attackers others, like herself, waited closer to the barrier although most of them did run forward. So it began for the onlookers of the fight. They too would now start their dance. Much like how the masked man and her Mizukage were having their dance, so would she have her own dance now. There didn’t seem to be much of an end to the attacking force, they kept coming and coming over the dunes. If they weren’t able to cut them down quickly, they would probably start to get overrun. This idea reinforced by the fact that some of the wrongdoers had broken past the forward group of mist ninja and now made their way to the last line. The line in which Fuyuko stood ‘prepared’ to face them.

There was no more time left to think about things or at least actively think about them. Fuyuko would need to do her best to only think in the moment. Let her primal instincts take over her body and just fight to persevere. All that mattered, or all that should matter, was that she survived this ordeal one way or another while protecting the things that she likes. She took one final deep breath before she stepped forward and made her first move in her own dance. On instinct as she moved forward her other hand reached down to grab a kunai of their own and threw it in the direction of the person that was rushing towards her. A simple straight forward attack that shouldn’t pose too much of a risk to that person, but it would force their body in a direction which would give Fuyuko a chance to act. Or so she had hoped, while the kunai was indeed dodged with relative ease the movements that were made afterwards weren’t ones that she could act upon herself. Instead she would have to make her own defensive moves. Her opponent seemed quite capable. His skill level was at least on par with herself if not better. It was definitely not the time to think about other things. She should really focus on the task at hand.

Her kunai clashed several times with his tanto. She had somewhat of a difficult time keeping up with the person. His blows were fast and hard leaving Fuyuko with about no room for error. If she made a mistake it would most likely lead to some dire consequences. The situation only worsened as she had to take small steps backwards after every strike if she didn’t want to end up staggered by the enemies blows. However this brought her closer and closer to the barrier, a place she didn’t want to end up at, because the last time she was in such a position it didn’t end up all that well either. Upon realizing that, there was really only one thing left for her to do. She had to go on the offensive. He swung his blade once more at her and it would receive another deflection, but a lighter one this time. Enough for her to take most of the force out of it before pulling her kunai away from it and letting it hit her chest on the side. The villages vest she was wearing would prevent the weapon from cutting her and instead leave some slight almost negligible bruises. However with his stretched out it was open for a counter attack. Fuyuko turned the kunai around in her hand and made a strike at the opponents arm. She aimed for the middle of his forearm and the strike was successful. Her kunai pierced deep into the mans arm between the ulna and radius bones it seemed. Her other hand followed up, reaching out to give another slap on top of the kunai to make it pierce even deeper.

As her hand was about to push it deeper she felt a strong force against her belly that would push her back. In doing so her finger would go through the loop at the end of the kunai and make a big cut between the two bones. The kick had send her back three meters and left her coughing as she felt like her stomach had been forcibly emptied. Her coughing fit would continue for a few more seconds as the man cussed a lot. He was probably in a decent amount of pain seeing as the place she cut him at wasn’t a place one would normally get injured. Further it appeared that she had most likely hit the artery that runs around that place. At least that’s what the amount of blood dripping from his arm would suggest. However the dance between the two wasn’t over yet. It had only just been started and while it might seem that Fuyuko has the upper hand now that she has almost rendered one of her opponents arms useless, it was not how she felt. Caution was still the main thing on her mind. He had proven to be faster and stronger than her, so gaining a small victory over her opponent was not enough for her to feel like she was going to win this bout no matter what.

With her having caught her breath again she was ready to pick up the dance again that had stalled briefly. Although her stride forward was fast it was a little bit shaky. As much as she tried to suppress her feelings she just didn’t seem capable of doing so. The assailant took advantage of Fuyuko’s lapse in concentration. The blade swung wide but fast and there wasn’t enough time for her to dodge it by the time she realized what was happening. It swung cleanly into the flesh only stopping until it hit the bone in her upper arm, scrapping against the bone as he pulled the blade back. Fuyuko let out a scream of pain as the blade moved freely through her skin and across the bone. The ‘score’ was now one to one both had lost most of their functions in one of their arms. While she had lost of the function in her arm without causing herself a lot of pain, it was not her dominant arm. She wasn’t sure if the same could be said for the opponent, but seeing as they were carrying the weapon initially in the arm that she had injured she assumed she did get his dominant hand. Further the movements he made with his weapon now weren’t as sleek as they were before, he was definitely using his less practiced arm now. The final reinforcement for that thought was the fact that Fuyuko had a much easier time blocking the blows form the person now, they were slower and had less strength.

The difference in speed and strength were probably not solely explained by the opponent using their off-hand. The blood that was still flowing out of their other arm probably didn’t help. It was probably a bit of a dirty tactic, but that’s just how fighting as a ninja went. You should always utilize your surroundings to their fullest potential and so Fuyuko kicked the sand quite a bit of force. Kicking up a cloud of sand at the enemy. The smokescreen would hide her next action. Weaving quickly a simple sign Fuyuko molded chakra inside of her to create an academy doppelganger of herself only inches in front of her. It would dash through the smokescreen with herself following suit. From the beginning of the dance she had learned that this person was fond of wide swings aimed at upper body or higher. With that information in mind the real Fuyuko ran low after the clone. The tactic would pay off as the enemy swung through the clone and over Fuyuko’s head. She had no clue what his facial expression was, but she assumed it was one of surprise. She tackled the man in the waist sending him falling to the ground, while doing so she drove her kunai deep into the guts of the man before the two of them would fall to ground.

To make sure he wasn’t going to instantly retaliate on her she punched the man straight in the groin. The man was clearly in a lot of pain from the jerking reactions he was making and the noises that left his mouth. Fuyuko got up and got away from the man. She looked at he was rolling back and forth in the sand from the pain. This should be enough to stop him from doing things, right…? she thought to herself. She hesitated if she had to do more to incapacitate them. As she stood there watching over him struggling with the pain a voice yelled out to her in a commanding fashion. “Don’t just stand around, finish him off! We show no mercy for those who do wrong!” Fuyuko looked around to find it coming from a fellow mist shinobi. It was one of the jounins she had seen around some time. Her first clenched tight as she was opposed to the order, but there wasn’t anything she could do now. The order had been made by a superior and it was one thing she had been able to uphold so far in her shinobi career, follow the orders of the superior. And so with hesitation she grabbed another one of her kunai’s and placed it against the man struggling chest. Slowly driving it deeper and deeper in until it would pierce the heart. The man screamed out some more before he would fall silent. Fuyuko’s gaze had dulled as she had tainted her hands in, what she feels like is unnecessary, blood. She stared some more at the lifeless body before she started at the battle that was developing around her. There wasn’t more time to think about things, the next couple of assailants were already making their way over.

Element: None.
Range: Clones can go up to 15 meters away from the user before dispersing.
Specialty: Ninjutsu.
Duration: Clones last until dissipated or cancelled.
Cooldown: Five posts after all clones are dispersed.
Description: Using this technique, the user can create up to five intangible clones that appear physically identical to the user; these are created within 3 meters of the caster. The clones do not disturb the area around them, don't have shadows or body heat, and as such, in applicable situations, ninja can pick them out with varying difficulty. The clone has no physical form, and as such cannot attack. When any foreign presence passes through the clone, be it physical (a fist, a rock, a sword) or an opponent's jutsu, the clone will dissipate. It's mainly used to help mask the user, helping them attack an opponent who is superior at dodging. It costs 5 chakra to create clones.

Daremo

avatar

Even before arriving at the location, before being given the mission to protect Mizuki, and meeting up with her moments ago, Daremo had been ready for conflict. He had actively been searching for it. The arrival to Sunagakure no Sato had reawakened a side of him that had been dormant since his teenage years, when his hands were nearly always covered with the blood of someone who had gotten to hands  on with one of the girls, or when his own clients took things too far. The chaos, violence, and death, called out to this suppressed side, waking it from its long slumber. And with its awakening came the itch, an itch to draw the blood of others, to cause death on a level that a single mission could not do, and it seemed like he would be getting his wish.

Daremo touched down on the battlefield at the same time as his charge. Reptilian eyes were looking onward at the massive sea of enemy combatants clashing with those who, at least in his opinion, were drawn here by the clashing of titans. Like a massive tsunami, those under the Ryujin banner clashed into the allied force. Men and women, young and old, there was no room for the classifications, these individuals were fueled with malice and vengeance against those who had into their home unannounced, and laid it to waste. For every ounce of blood that was spilled during Suna’s destruction, and now invasion, the opposition looked to repay it with interests. With weapon raised they attacked. Those who were killed, life snuffed out mercilessly, was replaced with others who were eager to spill blood. Death did not spot them, just meant the next man was up.

With each death, the golden sands began tinged with red. The earth was getting her fill of the rich nutrients from those who were slain, and yet, as more bodies fell, their blood being absorbed, she craved more. She needed not to worry though for she knew there was more to come. Those who fought on her lands always seem to give her exactly what she needed.

There was no resistance as a two-foot long senbon penetrated straight through the heart of first radicalized member, who had seemingly forgotten what happened to their comrades earlier. The boy, who could not have been older than eleven dropping like a puppet having their strings cuts. He being followed by two more, though, he was the lucky one, for his death was instance, unlike his two comrades who were attempting to stop the squirting blood from coming out of their necks. Their struggling came to an end with their assailant brought down his foot onto their necks, snapping them. The sound being drowned out by the surrounding chaos.

Glancing over at his charge, seeing she was handling the situation well, Daremo ducked underneath a scythe swing aiming to remove his head from his shoulders, the action only being possible due him seeing the wind up from the attack just seconds before it happened. Coming up his fingers tighten around the senbon held as he stepped into the man’s guard, and pierced the right kidney. The large senbon being savagely ripped from the man who dropped the scythe. The man’s life came to an end when the other senbon was used to pierce his heart. As the man dropped, the silver-haired male was already on the move to his next target.

There comes the point in a shinobi life where taking another being’s life becomes no different than breathing in air. The only distinction between the two being killing required some mental effort, and fortitude, to perform the act without getting one own self-killed in the process or freezing during the deed or aftermath. Pushing thirty-five, Daremo could say taking another’s life was boring, especially those who were weaker than him. There was no meaning behind the act. Nothing to get excited over when snuffing out the lives of the insignificant. Reaping the souls of the nameless whose legacy will be nothing, and he felt nothing as he cut down men, women, and children alike. Their bodies dropping, providing more food to the earth, and the scavengers that inevitably would come afterward.

Despite being a medic who were supposed to save lives, he moved through the swarm of radicalized militia with a grace that only a former Geisha could achieve. His footwork being more of a dance as he dodged, weaved, duck, parried, and counter those who sought to kill him. Arms blurred, stabbing bodies multiple of times, each action followed by a savage pull out. Their crimson liquid spraying into the air, only adding to the coppery taste that hung in the air. A few of those who he dealt with did not immediately die. They clung to their dwindling existence, hoping someone would come and save them. Yet with each shallow breath, they took, their pleads being drowned amongst the chaos, their hope dwindles till nothing was left, and they accepted the sweet embrace of death.

Having finished the first wave, Daremo looked over at his charge. The glance confirming that nothing happened to her so far. She being in relatively good health, not like he was worry or anything. If anything had happened, his medical skills would have been enough to handle it without much difficulty. His arms blurred to kill another radicalized militia as he began to move with Mizuki towards the thick of the conflict. It should have been expected the hardest hit area would suffer the most damage. Blood and gore from allies and enemies alike could be spotted throughout the chaos. The broken bodies of dying, or already dead, scattered the landscapes. The scene being no a pleasant one, but a reality check to those who witness the events of today.

Mizuki’s movement caught his eye, and he watched her save a young Kiri-nin for certain death, parrying an attack meant for him. In a brief burst of speed, Daremo closed the distance between him and his charge, stepping behind her, at an angle on her blindside, to grab the wrist of an attacker. Applying enough force to snap the said wrist, causing them to drop their katana. The senbon in his opposite hand piercing through the assailant's heart, remaining there as he plucked the other weapon from his hand, and jammed it into the individual’s neck. The two weapons being pulled down as a kick to the man’s chest sent him backward. With the situation taken care of, Daremo looked at Mizuki, though he kept his eyes on the surrounding, as she dealt with the young Kiri-nin who were shaken from the events.

Before he could respond, Daremo used his senbons to deflect a couple of shurikens thrown his direction. The projectiles being harmless knocked to the side. His eyes following on the assailant appearing before him. Stepping forward, Daremo humored the opponent. The senbon in his right hand clashed against the assailant’s kunai. His left hand moved to grab the wrist of the assailant’s opposite hand that was poised with a kunai, looking to spill his guts. ”Average.”, He could not help but to agree with his aspect’s assessment of the assailant's skills as he blocked his kunai strikes, dodging by the narrowest of marginal when the kunai were ignited with raiton chakra. “Boring.”, He whispered, moving behind the assailant at a speed they could not track, snapping his right wrist downward, receiving a grunt from the assailant who dropped to the ground, a two-foot-long senbon tug into the back of their knee. His right hand going over the assailant’s shoulder, dropping down with the force of a sledgehammer as the senbon pierced through their heart - killing them instantly. Pulling out the senbon, he nudged the dead body over and walked towards Mizuki.

His own clothing being covered with the blood of those who he has slain. Looking at the fighting going around them, he thought about the question asked, “My honest opinion? The assailant was smart in attacking when they did with some many different people here. Different villages. Different ideas. All of that leads to poor teamwork amongst villages, especially considering how there is some tension between them as well. You can see it now how those fighting are sticking with their respective village or their allies. “ He spoke, “As for moving towards the center and driving a wedge between them. I have a particular technique in mind that would work. But, it is not teamwork freely, unless you are forty or so meters away from you will get killed. You will just need to keep out of the range of the dropping bodies. Though, if we go with the plan, we will need to be cautious for I doubt the stronger opponents had entered. They are just wearing us down with numbers, waiting till we are on our last leg to strike.”

Keeping an eye out on those around him, “What do you think?”, He asked, waiting for the woman to reply.

Verdandi

avatar

TLDR:
Verdandi kills a few NPC and meets her auntie's pet tiger

Verdandi moved alongside Chigetsu for a while. Holding hands was comforting. But sooner than later, they would split paths. Verd expected him to soon turn into his monstrous form and her ice attacks tended to be nasty when she applied them on larger areas. Chi had already in his past the pleasure to figure out what happens to a fluid-based body when in contact with an all freezing ever frost in from of the coldest possible chakra in existence. It however made the subtle intimate interest between the two only more interesting. He who is but the closest being to immortal that she had ever met, yet eternally vulnerable to their simplest interaction. Forcing Verd to learn a much deeper, fine tuned control of her own element so she could make sure not to accidentally hurt or freeze him whenever they were in the same room.

And hence the palms, interlaced as they were, split and the team mates gave each other a final glare and smile before their characters mixed into the crowd. Loosing each other's visual connection. Verd had seen a specific mass of lower ranked ninjas clashing on the outer field and corner. The sunaan militia was incoming for their lines, threatening the ones that were retreating to be hunted down and slaughtered. Chi had gone off to scout the plateau and would certainly make himself more useful in his own way. The fact that the chakra clashing against the snake lady from earlier was growing bigger and stronger, emitting over the whole battlefield. Left Verdandi in hopes that Bakao was doing fine confronting that scary creature.

Ayakashi was still entitled to utter close combat, out of sight for Verdandi. Concealed and too far away. Probably better that way. She had enough of S-Ranked displays of power already. There was only so much her pride could take, while admitting her utter inexperience and weakness in comparison. She could however tell by the massive powers emitting from their epicentre that Aya was certainly still up and alive.

The battlefield would stretch out over the whole valley. Reinforcements of Kiri-nin and potentially village-nin, that deemed it was in their own interest to fight off the attackers, would stream like huge waves of nasty ocean tides against the attackers whom did a surprisingly good job in facing the sheer numbers of village ninja. But their own army was not to be considered weak. Staring at the battlefield, Verd could tell that every conflict seemed pretty even, whilst however the Defenders were rising in numbers and the attackers were being picked out one by one and given a tremendously hard time to stay vigilant against the sheer mass of defending forces rushing in.

Verd wasn't sure if, whomever organized this attack, had foreseen any or all of this and if they cared for themselves to win this battle or not. Men were dying on both sides like flies. The number of corpses the battlefield was producing was so unhealthy that Verd was sure it'd take them weeks to clean up even just a part of this mess.

Meanwhile she did catch up with Avalanche whom. Had retreated while protecting a few of the weaker forces. Verd quickly signalled her companion to follow suit once she was within eye contact reach. Grabbing on to his fur she would swing her body onto his back. He was still young and slow when she used him as mount but combining their forces together was still a useful feat. The farther she moved, the less she could feel how Chi was doing. But her eyes were fixed on the militia. Verd could see that the reinforcements were already coming from the bridges castle. All she had to do is give them some time to arrive.

Several civilians were moving slow. The scared, younger shinobi were also retreating, many much like her before in panic over the sudden turn of events and the unexpected incoming enemy forces. The first group of enemy militias was ahead of them. Verd adjusted Avalanches path to aim straight for them. Collision course. While Avalanche gradually trampled and bumped into the weak paper like enemies, Verd would slice he blade over whoever she could within reach. Using a strong grip on her right palm to keep her sword in place and her kunai in her left but with much shorter reach… would only hit anything if they basically passed by right next to her.

The primary impact worked quite nicely. The militia was roughed up and surprised by the sudden jump-in from the new contestant. But Verdandi's primary goal was already achieved. Despite having not cause too much damage other than some minor concussions from Avalanches impact on them, or very slight slices from her blades passing on their skin. Verd had diverted their attention rather to her than on the retreating forces. Giving them a proper breather to reach the incoming reinforcements in time to feel safe.

But that still meant, that Verdandi was left behind to deal with her new enemies. The first three were incoming and Dandi quickly jumped off her bear. Proper battle wouldn't work mounted just yet. While most of her enemies seemed to be of mere E or D ranked strength it would still require a certain amount of strength to deal with the lot of them. To start herself off she'd form a single hand seal to summon the Hyouton chakra into the ground below. Without much water to work with just yet, her technique would only be of moderate size. "Ice Release: Ice Spears" was cast to quickly raise the first three pillars of frost form the ground and pierce themselves into their target enemies. Verdandi didn't necessarily mean to kill them with that. But she needed to create some chaos within the militia troopers. Allowing her and Avalanche to charge forward and start their assault.

The bear would crush his head against the first person's chest. Throwing them back once more but this time going to town with his claws. Biting his powerful jaw into the mans palm to neutralize his sword-hand and then slowly rendering him useless with a series of slashes onto his chest and face. Verdandi was sending her kunai to hit the first guys throat. Her three shuriken to be spread among the masses hitting one on the shoulder, another one in the chest and a third one on his cheek. Verd chased after the guy she just neatly gifted her kunai to, as to kick his already bleeding body into the groin and retrieve her weapon with a simple grab. Pulling up her blade to slice past his chest and leave him to bleed. Now as she was actually within battle, Verdandi's pure offensive chances were coming to a rest. The militia was armed with spears and simple blades and they were now pointing at Verdandi. Seeing as they started to come dangerously close, Verd shortly sheathed kunai and nodachi, evaded the first spear supposedly aimed to her heart by leaning backwards, gripping its metallic pole and pulling on it with her superior strength.

Once she had the weapon in her palm she would find herself to be clumsy in wielding it. Clearly untrained and unfamiliar with a weapon of such size and weight. She however used whatever mother-intuition allowed her with to swing the staff like blade back around and shoo the incoming attackers back into distance once again. She didn't really aim for anything just wanted to make sure the spear told them to back off. As the first one dared to move in closer she lifted the spear on her shoulder and just tossed it towards him. While she actually aimed for his heart, her lack in proficiency with the spear would actually send the makeshift projectile to hit his left thigh instead. The weight of the spear however would still toss the man back and cause a huge unsightly wound on his leg leaving him to scream in agony.

With her hands free Verd formed simple Hyouton chakra between her fingers. Ice senbon were rapidly formed neatly tugged in position between her digits, 4 in each hand. Aiming the first batch at a guy to her left, her primary targets his throat. Using four senbon one would splinter against his collarbone, one would miss him and accidentally hit someone in their eye behind him while two would bury themselves deep into his neck. Causing the man to drop to his knees and grip for the projectiles stuck in his flesh trying to pull them out while it started to bleed and cut him off from breathing normally.

Verdandi shot the second batch vertically down the opponent to her right before backing off with a few spins and reverse handstands to gain some distance. To her attackers. Avalanche too had become busy trying to avoid the incoming weapons, having little time to actually deal much damage while trying to keep himself from ending up as cheese with many holes in. The vertically launches senbon hit a guy over throat, chin, nose and forehead. Causing massive pain on them and staggering down to their knees as well. It was time to start cutting shit up.

Verd adjusted her neck to make the joints in her connecting bones do that nasty 'crack' sound. She was ready to go full out cruel blood bath on this one. With a somersault forward she'd kick her leg into the shoulder of the first guy, moving quickly to the left to avoid an incoming fat spearhead aimed for her chest. Shooting her Kunai towards the same guy to hit his throat. This time she had attached a simple chakra string to her beloved throwing weapon. Allowing her to pull it right back into her palm once it hit its target. The blood of the mans throat still clinging to it as it neatly returned to her small fingers. She gracefully avoided the second spear thrust but realizing that this one went by rather close. Lifting herself back into action to slice he blade past the man's extended arm. Shooting her kunai to hit his foot and cause his stability to break before directly aiming an insanely quick kick full on straight into his face. Sending him backwards to deal with his arm and foot wounds.

The next guy to her right sliced his Dao's against Verdandi. Forcing her to parry them with the side of her blade. Dealing with two different blades seemed to be a bit more challenging. The guy neatly tried to pierce with one and slash with the other. Needless to say, he needed to be stopped. The flying kunai would be sent to hit the man where it hurts most below the belt line. A dirty move. One that too few ninjas honoured these days. But men were weak and they deserved to suffer from their exposed weakness. To round it off she used his fading moment of strength to chase aside his Dao's, kick him straight into his bleeding ball sack and lifted her knee to meet his face as it was incoming down in shock and knock the man out on spot.

It was probably more merciful to allow him to 'rest' than to remain in pain and actually experience what would happen to his cut open man parts. Verdandi had yet just begun. She shortly pushed her blade into the ground to free her hand, lifting one Dao at a time and tossed them in direction of two incoming enemies. One to bury itself neatly into his chest whilst the other one was parried. Verdandi was positively surprised by the actual resistance and lifted her own blade, making a short roll forward and raised her body with the blade. Clicking the little handle trigger to raise the shark tooth layer to the surface and saw her way slowly over the chest of her enemy, creating a gruesome display of ripped open flesh and a bloody mess for sure.

Avalanche ripped his way into his next foe. His claws tasting a lot of blood but his fur quickly painted in red, making it hard to see if he was wounded himself or not. So far, he seemed to be doing quite well against his enemies. While Verd moved on, dancing her way through enemy ranks as if it was some sort of play to her. Unable to rest her hands anymore now that her adrenaline was constantly pumping power into her veins. She discreetly avoided blades by moving her upper body just enough to let them miss her, just as Mizuki once showed her not long ago. Maximum defence with minimum effort. She used her blade in single, quick strikes that exhaled full power. Ripping the saw of her special Wyrm's Fang blade past her enemies. The hooks often doing most of the job of ripping skin apart or rendering armor of lower ranks useless. Her martial arts of basic ninja techniques blended in quite neatly. Her leg work mostly focused on strong kicks to critical points to cause knockouts. Using either her extending kunai to finish them off by hitting critical arteries or alike, or just simply dragging her saw-like sword over any exposed flesh to leave them bleeding like pigs before the slaughter.

Verdandi was very capable to use her advanced reflexes in her favour, often fighting multiple enemies at once. Sometimes trying to force them to hit each other instead of her by reflecting or rerouting incoming blades into another enemies' direction. Spears had to be carefully evaded as her sword didn't always deal well with the full force of their incoming piercing motion. Deflecting it to the side and answering with her chakra string connected, flying kunai would be sufficient enough. The enemy's numbers slowly reduced neatly but their own back-up seemed relentless and endless. Verd was almost out of juice for a first round. Exhaling her ice-cold breath past her blood clad lips. Her armor and battle kimono already coated in a thin, drying layer of red. A side effect of using a saw-like blade that intentionally causes massive bleeding everywhere it reaches forth. But the blade wasn't even at its fullest potential yet. The forges of the Yuki Clan, controlled by her Grandma was but one of the finest in Kiri territory. Aunt Ayakashi certainly spared no expenses while creating this little family heirloom for their little snow princess.

It was not without irony that yet another of Ayakashi's weapons would become part of Verdandi's story. In a way she had not foreseen it, in form of a living creature. In form of the ultimate beast Kirigakure could come up with in such a situation. The Mizukage's war monster of a pet. Bái Hǔ.

The white tiger roared over the battlefield. Followed by a large number of troops from the fort behind them. The reinforcements had arrived. The wave of shinobi would run past exhausted Verdandi and clash into her supposed enemies before her. Giving her more than a breather. Allowing her an actual break. Avalanche would quickly catch up with Verd. The young bear was not yet familiar with the huge tiger and obviously scared. Verdandi's chakra was too insignificant to the white tiger as he first passed her. Verdandi hidden in the mass of men charging past her to the front lines. Their morale was up to a new height. The beast moved into the midst of enemies and quickly rendered whole bodies apart by the sheer force of his claws. Verdandi stood in awe of the creature seemingly taking the lead at the front lines. Under his steps the village-nin were breaking past the lines of the enemy militia. Returning superiority over the flank and allowing the kiri forces to put a new very important pressure on the edge of the southern battlefield.

Verdandi didn't know what happened further away, east and west, north and central. She was aware to have seen Mizuki amidst them. Sense Fuyuko and was sure Chigetsu was still nearby. More dominant chakra signatures were popping up. Many of them in favour of the defenders. All in all, the battle seemed to be going well.

As of a sudden, Verdandi's eyes would catch glimpse of how enemy shinobi of higher rank directly started to target the white tiger. The attackers must have noticed the moral boost within the village ninja after Bái Hǔ appeared on the field. Many of the radicalized sunagakure shinobi turned they heads towards the tiger. They wouldn't allow the flank to break that easily. Jumping past the militia to directly engage their enemy. The tiger was busy using his teeth to render enemy weapons apart, smack the weak little humans away over the battlefield and claw his weapon enhanced tails through his enemies whenever he turned around, putting many militiamen to rest with simple motions of his purely weaponized appearance. Clawing his insanely powerful blades and fangs into the men with ease, rendering each of them apart one by one without really feeling much of their damage. Their weapons doing no notable impact on his armor. Only occasionally one of them manages to slice a wound into his unprotected skin, often followed by the persons immediate death in response.

While the kiri soldiers were obviously relying on the tiger to carry their burdens, no one seemed to be really interested in protecting the large creature, probably so impressed by its size and exhaled powers that one would think to be crazy that such a monster could even be harmed in the first place. But Verdandi had seen this giant furball sleeping before and had long since realised that he was, despite his size, not different from any other loving creature with an actual warm heart and deeply caring soul for those important to him.

Verd nodded to Avalanche, charging forward again. Screaming that scream of a battle roar that the village-nin were donning as they moved. Raising her blade and increasing her speed. Her legs still a bit hurt from previous use of burst speed, recovering but obviously still a bit slower than usual. Avalanche soon clashed into the first bunch of enemies again not far off the white tiger. Swallowing his fear from being close to the 5-meter-long, fully armoured beast. Verd slicing her blade once again into the various bodies surrounding the creature's feet. Trying to remove the pestilence of annoying militiamen that were searching for holes in Bái Hǔ's armor to wound him.

After several minutes of slicing her way through simple, barely defending militia, Verd would come to terms with the fact that the huge tiger had taken care of at least ten times the number of enemies within the same time frame she killed five. Verd would swallow that fact and yet be happy that the previously surrounding forced were finally eradicated, the men around the white beast would charge forward. But before Bái Hǔ could take another large leap of faith to once again charge into the heart of his enemies' troops. The suna reinforcements had arrived. C-Rank and B-Ranked ninja, put into a small but certainly powerful group sliced their way past the weaker village-nin and left behind but a mess of blood and tears. Their aim directly in sight. Bái Hǔ, the tiger hat would have to taste blood. Killing him would shatter the morale of the village nin and eventually return equal grounds to the battlefield.

Verdandi could see how the first one was already forming hand seals. While he engaged the tiger. In a short leap of faith of her own. Verdandi jumped to grab on the tigers armor, climbing his side until she could stand on his back. The incoming ninja had formed enough seals that a huge rock formation former before them and turned into a large dragon face. Starting to spill mud bullets forth and threatening to hit the tiger directly. While Bái Hǔ showed no signs of being impressed at all he simply charged forward into the incoming attack. Verdandi had a though time grabbing onto his armor and not falling off at first. Until at last, the tiger backed off for a second preparing for impact, Verdandi would open her mouth and scream a shout from her lips that would even be heard by the creature she was riding. Her familiar smell would slowly sink into the tiger's nose. He could easily distinguish a yuki clan, kin of his master. So, when Verdandi's shout "Voice of Susanoo" echoed over the battlefield, the tiger would pleasantly watch how the shockwave instantly eradicated all incoming mud projectiles into thin air by evaporating them and sending the remains back. The dragon head would slowly crumble and sink back into the earth where it came from.

The deep voice of the tiger would welcome Verdandi, niece of his kin. Before his intrigued smile donned his scary face showing off a murderous smile as his palm reached out to slice the daring shinobi that tried to mud the tiger, into tiny pieces of his formers shell. Forcing the remaining ninja troops to spread around and stare up at the infamous creature. But Bái Hǔ wouldn't allow himself to lose face especially in presence of a Yuki Clan. He inhaled, slowly and deeply. Ninja projectiles alike kunai and shuriken already being tossed in his direction. Some simply chipping off against his armour, others potentially getting stuck on his skin but their damage was too low to make him flinch.

Verdandi could feel the insane amount of chakra that was being accumulated within the creature below her. She opened her eyes widely. Her palms tightly gripping on his armor. Avalanche would glare up and quickly gain some distance from the two of them, moving behind the tiger. The enemy forces could clearly see that he was gathering. But they had less time to prepare than Verdandi whom sensed this quite quickly. The shinobi scattering and trying to retreat as the tiger exhaled his chakra filled roar over the battlefield before him. The closest enemies, within 5 meters would be thrown away like little stones as the primary impact hit them. The shockwave extending for another 25 meters forward. Send practically the whole squad that was supposed to hunt him down flying.

Avalanche quickly jumped forth to intercept the first of them he could see lingering broken and injured on the ground. The tiger would watch the, for him tiny sized bear, move on to violently feast his natural claws onto the enemy. Seemingly approving of such beautiful violence from a common snow creature, the white tiger would charge forth to reap his own claw horizontally over the stunned remains of his enemies. Verd would take her chance to take a breath from exhausting herself and her chakra pool. Clinging to the beasts armor as he finished up the remains of the pathetic forces. Verdandi once more reminded, that an all-powerful creature alike Bai Hu was more than capable of fending all but for himself and deal with many enemies of that rank. She smiles and rubbed her palm into his reachable fur past his armor. Her body clinging to his back. Her extremely light body seemingly not even noticed by the insane strength he carried within his limbs.

He walked past the lot of his stunned and fractured enemies. The bladed tail casually smacking down on their bodies without him even looking at them. His paw stomping on another. His claws digging into a third as he walked by. The last one whom he actually lowered his face towards, would escape this life with the cruel last view of Bái Hǔ's jaw widely opening and the myriad of sharp, blade like teeth greeting them before they would receive their very last kiss and fare well of this cruel world.

The match was yet, however, far from over. For some squads it had just began. The white tiger with the young Yuki on his back, an overly motivated little polar bear to his right and a large army of village nin to lead on towards victory… he would roar once again. Loudly exhaling his presence. Then charge. Forward. Into the masses of enemy militiamen. Ready to give them his worst.

Verdandi Chakra 135 / 200:

Yuki Clan spend 20 Chakra in heated environments to keep themselves 'operational'.

Name: Hyōton: Kōri no Yari ~ Ice Release: Ice Spears
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Element: Hyouton
Range: Close (0-5m), Far (5-10m)
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 1
Cooldown: 3
Description: By molding Hyouton chakra into a nearby water source, the user is able to freeze and mold the water into stalagmites of ice. They can be used various ways, whether it is to serve as a defensive barrier to keep opponents or their jutsu away, or a very quick attack, aiming to impale an unsuspecting target (1 inch). Advanced users of this tech can form the stalagmites from the water vapor in the air. The size of the stalagmite depends on the amount of water used to create it. These spears take one attack of equal rank to break, and two of a lower rank. While it's nothing severe, multiple wounds of this level would cause one to eventually bleed out. If a spear is broken, the jutsu goes to cooldown. In addition, when this jutsu comes into contact with water, it will begin to freeze the water. This effect is not instantaneous, but it will happen over a course of three posts. Up to 3 spears can be created at one time.

Name: Ice Release: Shards of Winter Technique (Hyouton: Fuyuko no Jutsu)
Origin: Library / Custom
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Element: Hyouton
Range: 20m
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 1
Cool-down: 3
Chakra: 10
Description: The user generates up to 8 Senbon from their hands, each of the needles are 4” long and are able to penetrate 1/4” deep. They are able to be cast in mid flight, summoning them in mid-air and launching them traveling at speeds of up to 15mp/s for 20m. The needles once generated remain as natural hardened ice. On impact, these Needles freeze natural water 5” around them over 2 turns.

Name: Puppet Technique (Kugutsu no Jutsu)
Origin: Canon.
Rank: E.
Type: Supplementary.
Element: None.
Range: 50m.
Specialty: Kugutsu.
Duration: -5 per post.

This technique cannot control living people; it can only control corpses, or Human Puppets currently in the user's locker.

The user pays a certain amount of chakra upon activation to determine the strings' durability; if severed the strings can be reattached to the same target for 15 chakra.

5 chakra = D-rank jutsu that cause blunt-force, cutting, or piercing damage can break the strings.
10 chakra = C-rank jutsu that cause blunt-force, cutting, or piercing damage can break the strings.
15 chakra = B-rank jutsu that cause blunt-force, cutting, or piercing damage can break the strings.
20 chakra = A-rank jutsu that cause blunt-force, cutting, or piercing damage can break the strings.
25 chakra = S-rank jutsu that cause blunt-force, cutting, or piercing damage can break the strings.

3 Types of Strings:

The following applies not to the rank of the jutsu, but rather the rank and the skill level of the user.

Multiple control:
The chakra strings at this rank are more tailored to controlling the base functions of many puppets as opposed to putting an astounding amount of effort into the control of few. Using this technique depending on the user's rank they are able to control up to 10 puppets, though the trade off is each of them operate at the user's speed and reaction time, -1 rank. (Stat increases from items and jutsu do not count towards this. However, those from clans do.)

E rank = 2 puppets
D rank = 3
C rank = 4
B rank = 6
A rank = 8
S rank = 9
SS rank = 10

Balanced Control:
Using more focused control on the puppets the user wields they are able to focus more into their puppets movement, and therefore they no longer receive the negative influence to their speed that the mass control strings had. However, the puppets still receive -1 to reaction time and less puppets are able to operate at this capacity per rank.
E-C rank = Max of 2 puppets
B-A rank 4
S-SS rank = 5

Focused control:
The user, with these strings, is able to literally control their puppets with such mastery as if they were basically human themselves. The concentration at this level requires they dedicate themselves into only one or two puppets, but they operate without any negatives what so ever, and move at the user's speed and reaction times.
E-C rank = 1 Puppet max
B-SS rank = 2

Name: Kiaido - Voice of Susanoo
Origin: Custom
Rank: C-A
Type: Defensive
Element: None
Range: 10/20/30m
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: This jutsu requires no hand seals. The user takes a deep breath and unleashes a powerful kiai in the direction of an offensive jutsu, cancelling a jutsu of one rank higher (or any one lower) immediately as long as it occurs within 10/20/30 meters (respectively C, B & A rank range).

Bai Hu Chakra 50 / 75:

Name: Roar of the Byakko
Canon/Custom: Cusom
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Element: Fuuton
Range: 5m // 25m
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Instant

Description: Bái Hǔ takes in a deep breath before letting out a terrifyingly powerful roar which rips up the ground from around him and throws it outward creating a trench, throwing everything back if it stood within 5m of Bái Hǔ. Additionally, the roar projects outwards in a 50 degree cone for 25 meters. The shockwaves from the roar travel at 40mp/s and are strong enough to tear up the earth and throw ninja 5m past the edge of their range and can fracture bones, and knock away physical projectiles of equal or lower rank.

dick cheney made money off the iraq war

The symphony of chaos around him was drowned out by the hiss of wind in his ear and the loud, shrill sounds of pressurized jets of flame erupting from various points on his back to propel him forward. He had only just finished his bout with Lamya a moment ago yet thrust himself back into the fire of battle without a moment’s hesitation, rapidly traversing the fields of conflict as he made his way inward. Geysers of sand danced with plumes of fire that threw him forward in violent bursts, each explosion assaulted his equilibrium with heavy blows yet he maintained balance by sheer force of will.

Heavy huffs of breath inflated his lungs, the first tinges of fatigue had only just taken hold. He was far from spent, but it was clear to him that the repeated usage of large-scale techniques was not without imperfection. Within these hearty breaths, the familiar scent of death overtook his senses. Ending the life of another in single combat boasted a vastly different experience than the overwhelming sensation of being surrounded by death on all sides. It stained the air with a pungent flavour that was difficult to forget.

A nearby scream would catch his attention and draw his eye, shifting his gaze to the right. Through the commotion of bodies locked in combat, Takao watched as Fuyuko slowly drove her blade into the chest of the man whom she had bested. His gaze drifted toward the blood from a fresh wound that stained her arm. His brows raised in surprise at witnessing the act, then furrowed into a deep scowl as his gaze shifted once more and shifted upon a pair of new assailants that made their way toward her. Although witnessing her had brought him to a momentary pause, his body urged forward by its own volition as soon as his eyes set on the new threat.

Sparks began to crackle beneath him before erupting into new plumes of fire, lifting his body from the sands for a brief moment before thrusting him forward at the upper limits of his speed. He covered the distance in less than a second, sliding in front of the two new threats and retarding their advance to a sharp halt. With Takao’s lead foot extended to the side in order to slow himself in time, the momentum that carried his fist forward was less than optimal. Thus, another jet of flame manifested behind the elbow of the hand that had thrown the fist. It shot forward like a rocket and collided with the man’s face, catching his jaw with the unexpected blow. The force behind Takao’s punch was enough to shatter the delicate structure of his jaw, crumpling his face into itself before he was sent tumbling several meters across the sand. The mangled man’s associate, while originally caught off-guard by Takao’s sudden appearance, took advance of the other’s misfortune to launch his own attack. The dull blade of his katana tore through the air on its path downward toward Takao’s head, yet it never came to reach its original mark. Instead, Takao’s forearm had risen to meet the blade, and allowed for its chipped blade to chop an inch into his arm, stopped by the natural resistance provided by dense muscle in the appendage. Through grit teeth did the shinobi stave off the pain of the dull strike, and turned his arm to the side to open the man’s defenses beyond the blade. Yet another jet manifested below Takao’s foot as his leg raised, and his knee found its mark in the side of the man’s chest. Several ribs were crushed by the strength of Takao’s blow, leaving him to drop his grip on the sword which subsequently fell from Takao’s arm and onto the ground. As the man fell into a wince, Takao’s torso rotated, and his non-dominant leg swung in an arc for the man’s face.

The heel of his boot collided with the man’s temple and shattered his skull. Death had not claimed him as he fell limp to the ground, yet the blood leaking from his nostrils and mouth were strong suggestions that its cold grasp would take hold before long. So consumed in the moment of striking one of the assailants, Takao had failed to notice the appearance of a third from within the chaos. The man swung wildly with a short blade, nearly taking Takao’s eye with a downward swipe had the raven-haired shinobi not moved back in time. Despite his evasion, the very tip of the blade caught his left brow and sliced down, cleaving through the flesh. While the fragile organ within its socket was safe, thick sanguine blood began to ooze from the wound, clouding his vision and forcing his eye shut. As the man’s arm rose once more in preparation for another wild swing, Takao’s left hand skillfully retrieved a single slip of paper from the pouch on his belt. Holding it flat in his hand, he slapped it against the stomach of his assailant and willed a final jet to manifest behind his elbow as he pushed against him. The force sent the man flying into the air before erupting into a swathe of flame and explosion. More yet were still coming, charging forward with blind nationalistic aggression, but they had not yet come close enough for him to deem them an immediate threat.

“Fuyuko!” Takao yelled as his attention whipped around to Fuyuko the instant his foot reclaimed balance. With haste, he ran the distance between them before slowing to a stop, and dropping down to kneel by her side.

“Are you alright?” He asked, his hands coming to rest on her shoulders. His gaze fell to her wound and then began to look her over for other injuries. For a brief moment, the entirety of his attention was on her, and the roar of battle around him boiled down to a muffled murmur. Deeper instinct overtook subconscious desire and his gaze shifted away from her to take visual inventory of their surroundings. Even with his left eye closed due to the veil of blood dripping over it, the threats around them were tracked and noted.

“You’re hurt. Come on, we’ll get you out of here.” He slid his hand from her shoulder and offered it out in a gesture to help her to her feet, should she have taken it.

Description: Fire Release: Burning Ambition is a fire release technique that heavily augments the user's mobility using high-speed ejection of high pressure fire akin to jet propulsion, allowing them to move at speeds up to an additional +30m/s of their maximum burst speed. These jets can manifest anywhere on the user, allowing them to quickly dodge attacks or rapidly maneuver themselves within a 3d space as opposed to 2d. When used to climb vertically, the user is only capable of reaching heights of 30 meters above the ground before the propulsion becomes unstable and too difficult to control. This is not sustained flight, however, as it only occurs in bursts. It can also be used to quickly increase the speed of a strike depending on where the jets are manifested. Although not the intended purpose of the technique, the plumes of flames produced by the jets can inflict moderate first degree burns and set fabric alight on contact. Each post that this technique is used reduces the user's speed by 1 tier (up to -2 tiers after 2 posts) for 2 posts after the technique is ended.

From his point of view, the chaos below looked like a master work of violent artistic expressions. An orchestra of weaponry ringing out in unison as swords clanged together making the most wonderful of sounds. The air was filled with the tinged scent of blood of death, a scent he was only slightly familiar with but never in such a magnitude as this. He watched as the clash of shinobi left bodies strewn across the battlefield with pools of blood staining the sand a deep crimson beneath them. With his bow at the ready, N’Jobu continued to scan the battlefield and watch his fellow Leaf comrade make his way through the chaos. The magnificent flames bursting from the nin as he ran through the fray were entrancing, he found his eyes drawn to them like moths. He wondering just how hasty the ANBU nin would become as the flaming man charged through groups of clearly hostile combatants with seeming reckless abandon. N’Jobu sat in awe of the chaos he was witnessing, but was snapped back into reality with a piercing scream which caught his attention as well as the attention of his comrade which he was tracking. The ANBU nin turned his head towards the source of the scream which appeared to be a particular kunoichi engaged in deadly combat. She was clearly injured even though she had clearly bested her opponent, as evident by the blood dripping from her arms.

In a moment’s notice, the ANBU nin raced toward here with renewed vigor as the flames burned brightly and more violent than before charging through anyone in his way. N’Jobu watched as he quickly dispatched an enemy shinobi, quickly kicking his head in with a masterful kick which likely shattered the man’s skull as he dropped to the floor lifelessly. His leaf comrade would not escape the fray unscathed however, as it appeared that a stray blade had caught him above his eye, causing him to be blinded by the blood and forcing him to shut it. Blood would not stop his efforts to reach the kunoichi however, as he proceeded to violently elbow them man into the air which was then followed by a large explosion which N’Jobu surmised was from an explosive tag placed on the victim. After all of the chaos and bloodshed, the kunoichi finally was finally reached by the ANBU nin as he knelt beside her. He was bloodied and clearly battle worn, but he seemed aware of his situation quite well. N’Jobu kept tabs on the enemies quickly closing in on him and his apparent friend on the battlefield, marking who he felt would be the most threatening to his fellow comrade.

With his bow readied, he pulled one of his arrows from its quiver and nocked it on his trusted Kabutomushi bow. He drew back the heavy bow string to its full draw and aimed it on a path that would intercept at least one of the incoming threats to his comrade and the kunoichi he was attending to. Thinking a bit more tactically, he decided to summon his Kikaichū to his finger tips and had them engulf his arrow so they could get the battlefield a bit quicker and allow him to place tracer females on both his ANBU comrade and his friend so they could be tracked in the future. With this in mind, he let loose his arrow and watched it fly down towards his target. The arrow stuck a radical Suna nin square in the neck and dropped him immediately to the ground as his Kikaichū began to swarm the man in a frenzied swarm. Two of N’Jobu’s female Kikaichū buzzed their way over two his comrade and attached themselves to him and his friend, borrowing themselves into their skin for the time being. Knowing his attack would likely draw attention to his position, N’Jobu quickly retreated back to a safer location in a small cavern within the rock face looking down over the battlefield. He readied another arrow on his bow and aimed it down at the battlefield, waiting for the next opportunity to strike should it arise.

In a flash, a rebel Suna nin appeared from just below him with clear intent to strike N’Jobu down with his blade. Luckily, N’Jobu was able to intercept the blow only by the grace that he had his bow in front of him at the time. Had he not been ready to fire, he certainly would have been stuck down where he stood with ease. Thinking quickly as he held back the blade using the riser of his bow he summoned his Kikaichū to dig themselves into the ground at his feet to prepare one last attempt to stop the impending death. He tried to hold the blade back but his strength was no match as it was clearly being overshadowed by the might of the Suna nin. “You’re dead kid!” the Suna radical exclaimed as he drew back his sword for a killing blow. Just as he began to bring his blade down once more for a killing blow, the Kikaichū burst from the ground engulfing the nin in a violent swarm of chakra hungry insects.

The surprise from the subterranean assault startled the radical just enough for N’Jobu to grab the arrow resting on Kabutomushi’s bow string and plunge it deeply into the man’s kidneys. He screamed out in agony as N’Jobu twisted the arrow in his wound, cementing the man’s fate. The radical dropped his weapon from his hand and clutched his side, trying to pry the arrow from his body, a true exercise in futility. Aggravated by the radical’s attempt to take his life, N’Jobu unsheathed his knife and plunged it deep into the man’s neck causing blood to erupt and splatter everywhere. “Not today…” N’Jobu muttered to the man as the life slowly drained from his body in addition to the chakra being siphoned from him by the Kikaichū.  He pulled the knife from its sheath in the man’s throat and wiped it on the chest of the radical now slumped on his knees. With a swift front kick, he pushed the man’s dying corpse from their perch and watched it plunge the ground, landing with a satisfying thud and a cloud of dust blooming where his body would lay to rest. With the minor distraction taken care of, he resumed his watch over the battlefield and his comrade. He kept a close eye on the enemies barreling down upon them and waited to see just how his Leaf brethren would respond to the threats barreling down upon him.

Raiu Mizuki

Jounin
As she took care of the lone Kiri-nin, Daremo stepped in to take care of a an enemy that was out to strike from her blind side. The thud of a weapon dropping followed, then the death throes of that same man being pierced by Daremo's senbon declared the failure of his ceased opportunity. Mizuki would look back to where Kirigakure's smoking base would be, wondering if the young shinobi could make it back. The state he was currently in, shocked by the loss of his friend and clearly no match for a situation as this, would suggest a retreat but it looked much like there was no immediate shelter available. Worse, it looked very much like most front line shinobi had been slain. The weaker forces had been culled and were making place for the encroaching arrival of stronger forces. Knowing this would eventually result in the death of the youngster - an unnecessary death in the eyes of Mizuki who much preferred to see the future flourish than to see it be slain.

Shuriken and arrows would rain down to strike down those that were surrounded by few to no opposition, their attempt partially futile as the suiton barrier around Mizuki deflected their poor strength. Within a 3 meter radius, the battle field would remain clear of such projectiles, protecting the young Kiri-nin and Daremo alike against death brought from a distance. Naturally, seeing as how all but that area was covered in arrows, it would also attract their opponents like they were some soft of bull's eye.

"Greater forces are approaching. Find your genin comrades and retreat. There is no point in seeking death against those you are no match for."

The Kiri-nin more shell shocked than anything else didn't seem to register her suggestion. He lingered around, almost like a kid seeking protection from a danger that was beyond him. Opposing troops would step through the Bubblegum, unopposed as they were no ranged projectiles, and charge them. As they fended off the assault, Daremo would speak in reply to her suggestion, bringing his insight into the matter.

“As for moving towards the center and driving a wedge between them.

His words would be interrupted by the clashing of her katana against the weapon of an invader, then once again by the throes of death as she swiftly followed up her parry with a clean stab through his heart before her blade would find its exit to the side. Daremo's words rang true. The front line was just cannon fodder sent to their deaths. The masses sufficient to take out equally inexperienced shinobi on the front while wearing down those of better skill. A simple strategy that had proven to be rather efficient in the course of history, disregarding the questionable morale of sending in humans to the front like cows ripe for the slaughter.

"In a situation as this, victory will be assured through team work. What strategy are you thinking about?"

Another one would enter, weapon raised as he charged. Mizuki's blade would flourish briefly, attracting the attention of his eyes and distracting him partially from his goal before Seiun would flicker in the sunlight and cut off his hands. As he howled in pain, staring at the lumps that once were his hands, his suffering would swiftly find an end as his head was separated from his torso, the now dead man dropping onto the soft sand with a thud and colouring it red with his blood. A swift shake with her katana would remove the blood from the blade, Seiun so much as spotless once again before it was sheathed. Knowing Daremo would have taken out others on his end, Mizuki's blue-green eyes overlooked the battlefield in the few seconds of unsettling peace that had been maintained by their skill.

The battle still waged on like a wildfire. Kumogakure present on their spot, she noticed the familiar face of a younger shinobi trampling through the troops with puppets at his side - Ryo Knetegawa. Despite the ever increasing danger, he seemed to do quite fine as the puppets provided him with much needed support and power to deal with the continued avalanche of Ryujiin and Suna radicals. Knowing that her shouts wouldn't reach him from this distance, the sound drowning in the battlefield's cries, she hoped nonetheless he could find his way towards Daremo and herself as that would only add to the strength of the small group they were.

On a total different place, the diplomat of Kumogakure spotted the somewhat familiar face of Fuyuko Miki, part of her countenance clouded by blood and exhaustion as well as the gentle influence of time itself. The kunoichi of Kirigakure with whom she had sparred during the Chuunin Exams was holding up, but Mizuki's worries were only calmed when she noticed a Konoha-nin approach her with equal worry. His speed of motion told her he was quite well trained, though she wondered what their relation was considering he had shouted her name. Still, with Fuyuko 'safe' despite the war situation, Mizuki's attention would linger no longer upon her.

Her attention was drawn when a familiar thundering shout briefly suppressed the general cacophony - Voice of Susanoo. Other than her father, who was dead, there was but one person she knew that had that technique at her disposal since she had been the one to teach it. Verdandi, seemingly aided by a giant white tiger whose strength and power easily rivalled if not surpassed her own, was fighting her own way through the masses of the enemies. Too far to reach easily and, at this point, not requiring any aide what with the help of the power at her side, Mizuki decided she'd cull the enemies with the help of her bow.

Leaving her katana to rest, she'd grab a blood-stained quiver from the ground of one of the fallen at her feet to spare her own arrows and threw it over her shoulder as she positioned herself before the shell shocked genin. Wielding Artemis, the white longbow aptly named after some Goddess of the Hunt, the kunoichi took on the Kyudora stance she was taught by her mentor Zetsume Zix and knocked the first of arrows.

"Sing, Artemis, of victory under the nightsky and let your arrows be the falling stars they can wish upon one last time."

Her first arrow was released in honours of her sensei. Her own strength surpassing that of her Bubblegum technique, the arrow would pierce clean through her projectile shielding barrier, hitting and obliterating the kneecap of a charging opponent who then crashed unhappily into the sand before the second arrow would end his life. With that little game out of the way, her true hunt was about to begin.

Fuyuko

Special Jounin
There was no time to think about the sequence of events that had just unfolded. Time was not something you could spare on the battlefield. The emotions running through Fuyuko’s body would have to sit there and wait patiently until there was time to deal with them. She got herself up from her kneeled down position from stabbing her last victim. Her body slightly flailing around in an apathetic manner as she did so. Her neck slightly falling to one side as if the muscles in her neck weren’t strong enough to keep it straight. And so her dulled eyes would watch as a handful more people were making their way over to where she was standing.

Fuyuko just stood there waiting and waiting till the enemies had closed the gap and they would make their first move towards here. The fight was going to be somewhat harder this time around seeing as it was no longer a one on one, but instead a five against one. Two of them seemed to be of at least equal caliber and the other three seemed like your normal thugs. As if they were cannon fodder just there to be disposed off by someone.

Much like expected one of the lesser ones would start the new dance, presumably because they were too impatient to wait for a proper time to strike. Perhaps they were instructed by the two stronger ones to do so. It mattered little either way all she had to do was make sure she got little to no damage from the weaker ones and get rid of them quickly so she could spend her full attention on the real threads. He came lunging at her with a kunai in his hand. Fuyuko simply placed the palm of her hand against the reaching out backhand, her other arm reached for the underside of his arm and pulled on it hard. Her foot stuck out just enough to send the man fumbling and tripping behind her.

Two more came her way from opposite sides; one of the stronger ones and more fodder. Fuyuko moved from her location and closed the gap to the lesser threat first. A quick kick to the stomach send the man flying back a couple of meters while following up with a coughing fit. However this was a slight mistake on Fuyuko’s part. The split second the other person wasn’t in her peripheral view anymore they closed the gap at incredible speeds. As her head turned and he came back into view there wasn’t enough time to completely dodge the tanto that came straight for her face. A clean rather shallow, but long cut was left across her right cheek. Using her rotation that she used to dodge the blade she managed to hit the person with her backhand. It was a strong hit and staggered them a little bit back. In her twirl she noticed another flying object heading her way. A small side step was enough to make it only scrape her Kirigakure vest.

While her heartbeat started to increase as the battle got more heated, her feelings were still cold as ice. There was nothing much to this to her, she did what she had to do to persevere and that was really all that mattered in this moment. From her blind spot now came the second threatening target. The sand betrayed his approach however, alerting her of the imminent threat. Despite her knowing it was coming there wasn’t enough time to do something about it. She could feel the blade connecting with her armor. Luckily the armor was sturdy enough to not let the blade through, but it felt like a hard punch against the side of her ribcage; a hit that was sure to leave some deep bruises.

Fuyuko’s initial plan was to preserve as much chakra as possible in all her fights, she was uncertain after all how long the fighting was going to last and pacing the amount she expanded over the course of the battle. But it seemed that there was no chance of her saving on some chakra in this fight. The blow had send her tumbling forward a bit. Using that motion she made a tumble and dashed away from the group quickly. Creating a small gap between them before quickly weaving the signs bird, horse, rat snake and placing her hand on the ground. A seal formed underneath her palm which instantly expanded. None of the enemies whom engaged her were able to make it outside of the 10 meter radius and all fell to the floor laying motionless. She got up and dusted the sand off of her clothes.

With cold dead eyes she made her way over to each and everyone’s of their body, finishing off their lives in quick decisive ways; driving her kunai’s in their chests. Her hands were stained in cold blood, her gaze empty as she watched the life drain from their bodies.

A shadow flashed by her. Followed by a gust of wind making her hair flow in the direction the shadow moved. Quick flashy, fire-y moves come from the clad black person, disposing quickly of another couple of targets that were heading her way. Who the figure was that came to her aid stayed a mystery until they called out to her. It came as quite the surprise that it was Takao; who came running back to her when he had taken care of business.

The cold empty expression that was plastered on her face quickly faded away when she saw the face of the man that she loved. All worried about her wellbeing. She couldn’t help but find it adorable, but was also very grateful that he showed that. However her own wounds were of little matter to her and so she kind of ignored answering the question that was asked. “What do you mean am I alright? Have you seen yourself, you got blood running all over your face!” she spoke out in a concerned manner. Fuyuko quickly grabbed a fresh kunai and tore a bit of her shirt off using it to wipe the blood off of his eye before holding it against his brow in an attempt to clot the wound.

She grabbed onto his hand while answering him. “I’m fine, it’s my duty as a shinobi to stay and fight while I can. The wounds are nothing special.” Her face betrayed her words a bit as she pulled onto his arm to get back on her feet. The wound in her right arm was a little deeper than she would’ve liked and using that arm to get herself up was not a smart idea. She made no noise from the pain, but her expression should be enough to give away not everything was fine should he look at it while she was getting up. She still tried to keep up her façade. “There is more work left to do…” she said as her voice started to sound empty again.

Name: Moderate Restriction dome – (Naka-teido no seigen dōmu - 中程度の制限ドーム)
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Element: N/A
Range: 10m radius
Specialty: Fuuinjutsu | Senjutsu (optional)
Duration: Maintained
Cooldown: Maintained + 5 Posts
Description: After weaving the signs Bird, Horse, Rat, Snake the user places their hands on the ground creating a seal that’s half a meter in diameter. When a person, that doesn’t have the creators chakra signature attached to them, enters the 10 meter radius (taken from the middle of the technique) of the technique it starts to rapidly expand. The expansion happens at a rate of 30 m/s. When the expansion is completed anyone (that doesn’t have the users chakra signature) that’s within the 10 meter radius dome will have a seal appear on their neck. This seal acts as a full paralysis and lasts for a single post. The effects can be stopped early by inflicting an inch deep cut across the seal. A minimum of 2 people can be caught within this trap. The user can opt to put in more chakra to catch more people at a rate of 5 chakra per 2 people (Example: 3 people would be B-cost +5, 4 people would be B-cost +5, 5 people would be B-cost + 10, etc.)
If this jutsu is used while in sage mode, instead of interacting as a rank higher, the paralysis lasts two posts instead of one.

Makoto just saw chaos everywhere, but at the same time he saw the beautiful arts of jutsu mixing together as he stopped from a far distance he could not make it out clearly but some woman seemed to be holding back a large number of people. He wondered what she did cause they seemed to stop in their tracks as he wondered if that was also a genjutsu user. He thought to himself that a jutsu for escaping genjutsu was good, but he then began to wonder if it was safer to have a jutsu to prevent genjutsu in the first place.

Once you caught, by the time you break out of the genjutsu you may already be dead. Makoto's heart began racing as he remembered being caught earlier and how he could have ended up like those other guys who were cut apart. The feelings that Makoto did not understand and the conflict he had deep within his heart. He began to wonder if his mother and father would even care if he died on this day, lost in thought as Makoto remained hidden. He noticed the smell of blood flowing through the air as the winds shifted along the battlefield, winds of the air and winds of change with the winds of jutsu that Makoto finds so intriguing. The sound of blade on blade as weapons clashed, some finding the cold hard steel and others finding the warmth of blood that soon fades as people lose their lives having never even learned jutsu. A fate far worse then death in Makoto's eyes as a world without jutsu was no world at all.

Makoto did not understand why people could not just get along, as he kept thinking about this two military men armed with pikes charged at him to try and pierce into him with their weapons. He was fortunate that they were not that skilled, but after evading them his thoughts immediately shifted to the problem that lay before him as he took out two shuriken in each hand and threw them as the one deflected them, while the other one took one to the shoulder and eye as he cried out. The one who parried charged towards Makoto as he tossed his last shuriken the man deflected it again, but Makoto followed up with a kunai as the man had to evade it only for Makoto to dash in and kick the man in the face knocking him back a bit as Makoto fell backwards he did not take any more chances and formed the tiger hand seal.

The other guy who was still healing his wound shouted out something that sounded like telling the guy to be careful, but the man raised his pike in the air to use the sharp axe like end to finish off the boy. He performed the technique phoenix fire flower ninjutsu as several balls of fire bombarded the man as he was knocked back as his friend just watched as two of the flames strayed past and hit him in the face and gut to finish him off. The other guy had taken so many balls of fire that he simply collapsed afterwords as Makoto wondered if these guys were even shinobi to begin with, before realizing that they were just ordinary military as he got up slowly and went to pull his weapons from their bodies, they were either dead or knocked out. He did not care which as he got his shuriken shaking the blood off some as he went to find a new hiding place he noticed a few bugs roaming around a certain area and decided to hide near there, but not approach the bugs as he hid away wondering if those guys were stupid.

In the eyes of Makoto the art of jutsu will always win. Jutsu is life and so his life was saved by jutsu. He noticed that the bugs seemed to have gathered near a cavern, but he was not going to go inside so he stayed hidden around the side. He took his time to rest as he began to wonder what would happen to him in this war of the worlds.

Though he wanted to hide in peace he panicked when some guy popped up from under the ground attacking a guy with a bow. He watched as he clung closer to the edge of the wall that he was hiding at. The skill with which that guy used his bow was interesting as Makoto did not realize at the time that people could hide under ground as he moved up higher hiding on top of the wall he was using. The guy said that this boy would be dead as he looked on, he could not really help at right now it was really dangerous to be all alone here as he tried to think of an idea. The scream of the man as he could barely keep up with the exchange as he watched the swarming of bugs and stabbing of the arrow, it was a well planned attack as he thought to himself to be more careful as he needed some allies he decided to let himself approach as he quickly perform the water clone technique to make four clones of himself.

Makoto hiding behind the wall as one makoto hid behind him and another one above him while the other one just patrolled near him within range. The final Makoto clone decided to attempt making an ally as Makoto invested a bit of extra chakra into the one clone for emergencies.

The clone moved like he would with both arms raised to show he was not there to do any harm as he looked around and then greeted the boy. "Hi, is this place safe?", only his main clones near him had weapons, this clone was unarmed.

Name: Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu (火遁・鳳仙火の術 ~ Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu)
Canon/Custom: Library
Rank: C.
Type: Offensive.
Element: Katon.
Range: 15 meters.
Specialty: Ninjutsu.
Duration: 1 post.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Description: The user inhales deeply, flooding their throat and mouth with chakra. They then expel this chakra in the form of ten tiny spheres of fire. These spheres all travel at 10m/s, and are about the size of a basketball. On impact, each small fireball deals first-degree burns. Projectiles can also be hidden inside the fireballs, though any cuts from them are cauterized. While this is a C-rank technique, it produces many small spheres which each function as E-rank projectile jutsu (meaning 4 of them can break one D-rank defense).

Name: Water Release: Water Clone Technique (水遁・水分身の術 ~ Suiton: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu)
Canon/Custom: Library
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Element: Suiton/Water
Range: Clones cannot travel more than 30m away from the user.
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Until clones are destroyed or cancelled
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: The Water Clone Jutsu is similar to the Shadow Clone Jutsu except it creates clones out of water that have one-tenth of the original user's chakra - taken after the initial activation cost of this technique has been deducted. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water. Water clones are capable of only using suiton jutsu provided they have enough chakra to cast it. Regular jutsu cooldowns apply - if a technique is used by one clone, it cannot immediately be used by another clone. A maximum of six clones may be created at any one time. The clone automatically disperses when it runs out of chakra, or when hit by any attack that can cause the equivalence of a C rank technique in physical damage [major bruising, 1-2 inch cuts, etc.] or a C-rank/2 D-Rank offensive jutsu. The user may willingly disperse a clone - returning any chakra the clone has left to the user - but this can only be done under the condition that the clone is not under direct attack. Clones which have been dispersed by other means - ie. taking damage - do not return any chakra to the user. Elemental clones created will have a 'clone' of the user's weapon(s) up to C-Rank in strength.
*Clones have their own jutsu cooldowns and do not share them with other clones unless the jutsu in question was cast before creating the clones, in which case it starts on a cooldown when the clones are formed.

Makoto's Melancholy

Daremo

Following Mizuki’s line of sight, looking at the Kirigakure’s smoking base. There was no safe way of getting the young Kiri-nin to the location. The amount of opposition between them and the base, while being thinned out by allied force, was still immense. It would take some work to get through there, and making it to the base. Even then, safety was not guaranteed for the Kiri-nin. He could very well be sent back out to fight with a different squad. While seeing the death of friends is painful, a shinobi could not stop their duties to mourn the losses. Mourning comes in the privacy of the home, away from prying eyes, not in the middle of a conflict.

Taking a glance at the boy, seeing the shaken state in, Daremo spoke to the youngster, making sure his voice was heard by him, “Get up. Do not let the death of your friends be in vain. Do not sully their deaths by clamming up now. They gave up their lives for the village. To protect the people at home, unaware of the horrors taking place here. To protect their comrades and friends. To protect you. Do not tarnish this. Do what Mizuki-san, meet up with your comrades, and retreat. You must not die here. Live not only for yourself but for those who died for you.” At first, there was no response for the boy. He being still very much shell-shock from the ordeal. It being understandable really. Any genin who never experience death or war would find the situation overwhelming.

Finally, though, the shell-shocked look disappeared and flickers courage were seen with the youngest’s eyes. Seeing the young man would be alright, Daremo turned his attention to the forces that break through the barrier sounding him, Mizuki, and the youngster. Arms blurred, dealing precision strikes with the senbons loosely clutched in each hand. Those who were entering the radius of death crumbled to the ground with holes going straight through their neck.  Their blood further soaking the ground around the trio. A flash of steel and a scream caught his attention as the Kiri-nin from earlier, buried a kunai in the stomach of an enemy combatant that was trying to get the drop on them. Seeing how the man was not dead, Daremo turned, sliding his senbons to his right hand, and pulling out a black one. With a show of force, he hurled the senbon, and before the injured male and several others behind him realized it, they would be skewed. The black senbon pierced through the walls of bodies and disappearing from his view.

A nod of appreciation was given to Mizuki. The woman had cut down an invader who thought about attacking the silver-haired male. He had to give it to the woman. She was effective with that katana. An expert he was not, but, he could tell she knew how to handle the weapon well. Relaying his plan, though vague it was, he waited for a reply. He moving to defend against the woman’s blind side, sliding a senbon between the adversary ribcages, puncturing their kidney before stabbing them in the heart. “We need to clear out the militia and draw out some of the stronger shinobi who proposed a threat to those here and take care of them. I have a technique that can weed out the weak fairly quickly. It doesn’t require any preparation, and it can kill everything that is not wearing strong enough armor.” He spoke. He having decided to use the other technique that he had in mind. He had to watch after Mizuki, and the other technique required there being a great distance between him and allies.

Stepping to the right of Mizuki, Daremo jabbed one of his senbons into an invader’s chest - receiving a scream from the man in return.  With his hand free, he grabbed the man’s arm, yanking him forward with enough force that his shoulder popped out of place. As the man stumbled forward, trying to keep his balance, Daremo swirled a senbon and thrust upward. There being no resistance as the sharp weapon pierced straight through the male’s jaw and tongue. Ignoring the blood squirting, and the man’s screams in agony, he savaged ripped the senbon out, rendering the tongue to a fleshy mess. Thrust with the senbon to the man’s heart would be sufficient enough to end his suffering. As he failed another man took his place, and Daremo answered.

The battles continued to rage on around them. Chaos, destruction, and an untold amount of death was happening in every corner. Shinobis who had no relations with one another were working towards a common goal, survival. There amongst the chaos was Kumogakure shinobi. They were standing firm in the conflict. While he might have lofted Hastur, Daremo thought well of the Kumo shinobi. Discipline and well-trained, he had no issues with them, unlike some he had with the other villages, but this was not the time for that. As another cannon fodder fell to his senbons, he spotted a Kumo-nin using puppets? That was known. He did not realize Kumogakure no Sato had puppeteers in their amist. Briefly, he wonders would the male, who was handling himself well, would become great puppeteer like those of legends? Only time would tell.

“We should try to group up with the Kumo puppeteer, and take the Kiri-nin with us. We would just be sending him to his death if we allowed him to head back to the base alone. At least this way he will have more protection until we can find Kiri shinobi to take him.” Daremo suggested. A thundering shout boomed across the area. Reptilian eyes locked in on the direction of the sound, pinpointing a Kiri-nin riding on a massive tiger. The tiger’s power was seemingly surpassing those that were in its path. Turning away from the sight, Daremo relaxed his shoulders.

Those with sensory techniques will suddenly pick up on his location. The silver-haired man had decided to allow his chakra flow free throughout his body. Asides from sex, he enjoyed the sensation that comes with his chakra being free. Looking at Mizuki, noticing her taking out her bow, and firing an arrow, Daremo spoke, “Be ready to fire when that start dropping.”. Chakra was moulded in his mould, it being expelled outward in a cone-shape mist the moment he stepped out of the barrier.  Within forty meters in front of Mizuki, enemy combatants, those who came in contact with the mist, began dropping unexpectedly. The weapons in their hands accompanying them. Their bodies being forced into a near comatose sleep that lasted as long as Daremo wanted to. As a surgeon, there was a need to find different ways to put people to sleep. With most shinobi having some resistance to the standard sleeping gas, Daremo developed a solution in the form of this particular technique.

Cutting off the chakra to the mist, letting it linger within the area, Daremo began going through three hand signs in a rapid session. Suition aligned chakra was moulded in his mouth, causing his cheeks to bulge ever slightly before begin expel. A vile and diseased ridden green liquid came forth from his mouth, taking on the shape of a large dragon head that was four meters tall and wide.  Equipped with razor-sharp teeth the construct lunged forward, missing the down individuals only to explode against another group of enemy combatants. Screams filled the air as those who made contact with the water from the attack began to having their skin cells killed off. Black and puss filled wounds developed on those unfortunate to touch the liquid as necrosis set in. For an unlucky Ryujin member, it would spell their death, with his upper body having been completely soaked by the splash, turning it into nothing more than a mass of dead skin.

The prudent and rotten smell of decay hung heavier within the field from such a simplistic attack. Amongst the screams were pleads of mercy, some of those who have developed necrosis begging anyone to relieve them of such a plight, sadly, they would not find any from Daremo. Reptilian eyes watched impassively as militia tripped over their fallen kin, only to land in the puddles of greenish liquid, and develop minor necrosis as well. “Do not worry about the people asleep. They will remain such for however long I desire. Watch out for the greenish puddles, they are very much necrotic in nature.” Daremo spoke to Mizuki. He wonders not what the woman thought of his vile technique. For, as far as he knew, the only other person who had an interest in such technique was not on this battlefield.

if you’re doing drugs, stop it. get some help. - michael jordan

The cold look in her eyes had opened a pit in his stomach upon first glance. He knew the thousand yard stare too well, and a sickening sensation of unease lingered in his chest as a result of seeing it plastered all over her face. Watching it melt from her face and warm into something more familiar had given him some semblance of ease, yet the worry was far from gone. The stress of the battlefield raging on around them like a wildfire would only make it worse, and he expected her to disassociate further. Had he the ability to do so, he would throw her over his shoulder and simply leave. She would be mad at him, of that he had no doubt, but safe.

The concern she displayed warmed his own expression. His left eye had shut and remained closed from the steady flow of blood from the superficial wound, hardly acting as any kind of inhibition and looking far worse than it was in reality. A smile crept onto his face and his hand slid up to rest on her cheek as she tore the strip of fabric from her shirt.

“It’s just a scratch.” He said, his gaze shifting downward to look at her injured arm. He let her finish tending to the wound on his face before he insisted on taking her arm without interfering with the wound. In a single swift motion, he unbound the bandages from his forearm, and wrapped them tight around the cut in her’s. He knotted the cloth and watched as blood seeped into the fabric, covering the seal formulae written into the fibers.

When she spoke of her intentions to stay and fight, the frown returned to his face. He stood with her, helping her back to her feet and watching the change in expression that denoted the presence of pain. His hands were reluctant to leave her, and lingered for a moment longer before he hesitated and finally pulled away.

“I don’t think you should.” Takao said, casting a glimpse around the battlefield. They had been fortunate to be uninterrupted thus far, but the growing cries of war that surrounded them grew closer as several unattended assailants closed in. His eyes returned to her, brow bleeding again yet slower now than before, and taking a slight detour around his eye that would not last long.

“I won’t stop you, but I’m not leaving your side, no matter what.” He said, briefly returning his hand to her cheek. He leaned his forehead against hers, tilted slightly to not rub his blood on her, and pulled back right after. His hands joined in front of his chest and weaved a sequence of three hand seals, persisting on the last. Chakra leaked from his tenketsu, cresting over his skin like waves on a beach, and hardening into scales black as midnight. Most of them were hidden by his clothing, but what skin he did show displayed the change in composition. His face was covered similarly, and a shroud of chakra turned his eyes and mouth a faint, glowing white. Teeth and ears sharpened to points, completing the draconic imagery he wore like armour.

If you can, leave the killing to me. His voice, now sounding ghostly and hollow-- as though several voices spoke at once-- rang out above the sounds of conflict around them. He didn’t move from his spot and took up a position close behind Fuyuko. He didn’t move afterward, more intent on covering her back while waiting for her to move. Takao intended on acting as her support, and wouldn’t move unless she did, in which case he would follow closely behind.

Name: Fire Release: Burning Ambition (Katon: Atsuho Hōfu ~ 火遁・熱歩抱負)
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary-Offensive
Element: Fire Release
Range: User
Specialty: Ninjutsu-Taijutsu
Duration: Maintainable
Cooldown: Duration
Name: Dragon Art: Body of Scales (Ryūdō: Sukēru no bodi ~ スケールのボディ)
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: A
Type: Defensive
Element: n/a
Range: Self
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Maintainable
Cooldown: Duration
Description: Body of Scales is a technique that requires three hand seals (Tiger → Rat → Dragon). Upon completion, the user bleeds chakra from their tenketsu, which harden in layers over the user's skin. This hardened chakra takes on the appearance of jet black scales, and cover the entirety of the user's body within a single post. The user sustains additional changes to their body as well: their ears are elongated, their eyes lose their pupil and iris and instead glow white, and their mouths glow a similar white while their teeth become sharp. These changes are cosmetic and serve no purpose beyond the aesthetic of the technique. These layers of scales are heavy, reducing the user's speed by -2 tiers. However, in return they grant superior protection, and allow the user to withstand up to two S-Rank, three A-Rank, and four B-Rank techniques, as well as an indefinite number of techniques of C-Rank and below.

Verdandi

avatar

War, war never changes. As many historians have deducted already, many times. While Verdandi would cling to the tigers back he would reap through the masses of enemies like a man-made incarnation of death himself. The tiger's claws ripping through bodies as if they were paper to him. His jaw crushing his foes that dared to openly attack him. His tail swinging around like the longest sword Verdandi could ever wield. Slicing into her enemies with great force and leaving bleeding open wounds or destroyed messy armor behind. But even as the ice princess marched on with her seemingly omnipotent weapon at hand. She couldn't help but watch what the battlefield had become of. Despite the very obvious view on how the suna radicals were losing this. The amount of death they brought down on this plane was insufferable. There was no minute where she didn't see one of the village-nin suffering a fatal blow from an enemy's weapon. Hundreds of her kin were paying the ultimate price for being here today. The echoes of perverse levels of powers would emit from the central spot of the battlefield. Ayakashi and the sealer were both going all out in their fight. If Verdandi only had known about the injuries her aunt had suffered so far. She might have taken Bái Hǔ to his Master so he might be of proper use to her instead. But it the strongest ninja of their generation wouldn't go down just like that, giving the mysterious sealer the hardest battle of his life for sure.

The echoes of their bodies colliding not rarely sending shockwaves of chakra over the battlefield. A frightening, terrifying feeling, once again reminding Verdandi of how young and little strength she was, just yet. Dandi tightly clinging to Bái Hǔ's fur, hugging herself to his neck as if she was desperately trying to reassure herself that he'd protect her in this god forsaken place, trying to not succumb to the intense strain of terrifying emotions crushing down on her. From her slightly elevated position she could glare over the battlefield. Not rarely spears and arrows would fly her way and potentially threaten to impale and wound her. Bái Hǔ's tail effortlessly defended the princess against any and all incoming projectiles, while his own body here and there took the one or other wound without seemingly flinching even for a second. His physical endurance at a level where he could probably take more damage than most of the ninja in any place nearby. Verd's gaze following the men on the battlefield. The blades of men colliding. Shields defending against spears. Kunai crashing. Shuriken burying themselves into skin. Senbon fatally hitting battle ready men and crippling them to fall to the ground to be either trampled by the others or left to rot for the remainder of the battle. Medical ninja moving in behind the frontlines. Trying to pull away the victims of their own nation while ignoring all enemy forces. Only few would be taken back for interrogation and then quickly given a somewhat painless death.

Kirigakure takes no prisoners. Never again. At least that's the policy in action. Any enemy soldier in their captivity that exhausted its usefulness would be murdered on spot. They didn't have time to play charity with them and their will to come to this battlefield and slaughter the Kiri-nin was reason enough for Verdandi's people to punish them with the ultimate sentence, every time. Bodies would pile up. The med-nin barely even trying to pull the dead back, most of them would just confirm their death, pick up their tags and report them as another number into the casualties. Hundreds of dead by now. But whilst the village forces advanced, their own numbers dwindling. Their close proximity to the village camps however giving the defenders a seemingly infinite number of incoming reinforcements, while the radicalized troops not rarely found themselves victim to the face that their numbers vanished and no reinforcements were coming for them. Mercenaries of all kind not rarely started to desert the battlefield. Deeming that the pay they received to fight the village-nin was not worth dying for. The moral of the enemy troops quickly dwindling and having a major impact on their effective power on the frontlines. Village-nin were pushing forward on all flanks. But still endless of foot soldiers remained to face us. The masses of enemies seemingly knowing no end and hours would go by to eradicate them for good.

Bái Hǔ's presence here was important however. His insane strength and almost godlike invulnerability boosting the troops desire to move forth against their enemies. The battle taking seemingly forever. The corpses piling up and the tiger made sure to add a lot of torn bodies to the counter. Avalanche doing the same. Following his elder, familiar frost beast's example. Cutting his palms into enemies with the claws extended to hurt them and tear them apart. Copying the fighting style of the tiger as if he was trying his best to become the large beasts apprentice in this. Gazing up at the glorious, armoured frame of Bái Hǔ and day dreaming of the times to come where Avalanche himself might turn into a legend alike him. Giving his best effort to not look weak or useless next to him. Also giving the tiger a companion of his own kin to protect and care for. Bái Hǔ, despite showing a certain familiarity and fondness to the bear, however was completely focused on the war effort. On moving forward, deeper into the masses. Ready to use his all available strength to make this place a living hell for the enemy. He would see another group of enemies trying to protect a leader of sorts. One that organized the troops around him. Bái Hǔ wouldn't accept this for long. A priority target appeared on his vision and he would stop at nothing to get to this man and tear him to shreds to shatter the radical forces moral for good.

Jumping forth the leader would soon catch glimpse of the incoming monster aiming for him. Having already dispatched so many troops in the tiger's direction only to see them fall to the beast's fangs and claws. The leader wouldn't take it any longer. Despite the fact that he was intensely scared by the view of the tiger. He would lift his fingers and display how he gathered raiton energy along his palms. The thunder noises echoing over the nearby battlefield. Verdandi could see the electric currents forming the head of a dragon-like shape as it started to quickly make its way towards Verd and her companions. Trying to be of useful support for her furry friends, Verdandi tried to intercept the Dragon Missile. Standing up while Bái Hǔ was still moving was still a difficult task. Even more so if one was to exhale a thick mass of wind chakra into their palm. Making sure to blow enough into it to fit the size of the dragon before she let the large whirlwind between her hands fly. The wind ball, but a shallow reminder of the Rasengan she was yet to master. The impact with a weaker element however made it still useful. Completely eradicating the scary lightning dragon from existence. Verd however wasn't satisfied just yet. Exhaling but another two thick spheres into her palms. Sending each of them towards her enemy. The second following the first in its close proximity to hide in some sort of dead-spot angle.

As her target skilfully evaded the first sphere, the second would instantly hit his face and almost knock him out. The distraction certainly strong enough for Bái Hǔ to reach forth and claw his fangs into his target. The spear like thorns digging sideways into the stomach of the puny little human. Blood starting to flow until it snapped and soon rendered the poor man apart. Bái Hǔ shaking his head to let his blood tasting fangs sink further into his victim until the major flesh of his stomach ripped open and his organs would spill from his gut. Blood gushing madly onto his own men below. Covering them in their own leader's shame and disgrace. Giving a very clear picture what their motivation to fight had brought them to. Bái Hǔ's claws would cut through them and his tail would swing around as he turned about to behead the last ones standing. Any troops of this leader that was yet not within the tiger's reach would quickly grab their belongings and turn back towards the desert they emerged from. Fleeing by the masses now as Bái Hǔ made sure to follow the lot of them. Jump in from above. Even Avalanche, still following his big brothers example, doing the same and tackling a majority of enemies he would encounter. As the lines would break. The tiger would roar his anger once again. The enemies on this flank fleeing and soon he would bring his wrath further… deeper into the heart of the enemy forces.

Name: Wind Release: Spiralling Wind Ball (Fūton: Rasen Fuusen)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Element: Fūton
Range: 25 metres
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: This technique allows the user to breathe wind-infused chakra into the palm of their hand, shaping it into a small, whirlwind-like sphere. Then the user will shoot it at their opponent. This technique is very fast and powerful, travelling at 15 m/s in the direction it is shot at. A direct blow to the head will cause a Grade 1 concussion and daze the victim, reducing their movement speed by one rank tier for 2 posts. Impact with other sections of the body can cause major external bruising, as well as shredding the skin of the affected surface, coating it with countless tiny, 1/2 inch deep cuts. Upon activation, only a single sphere is made. Additional spheres can be made at a cost of -5 chakra each, with a maximum of two additional spheres. Each sphere must be breathed into the palm of the user's hand and then tossed. However, additional spheres are only at half power, and must both be used in order to achieve the same effects as the first sphere.

N'Jobu

avatar

Genin
Time seemed to still itself for the time being after having to be forced to take another man's life in close quarters. Hunting from a far was easy, there was a sense of detachment to it which he couldn't really explain. Up close however, it was an entirely different experience. One can see their enemies last emotions and hear their life slowly lose its grasp upon their bodies. The sensation of taking a life of someone right in front of one's eyes was a relatively new one for N'Jobu but for some reason, he felt numb to it. It was as if it was a natural occurrence that could be simply shrugged off as yet another day in the life of a shinobi. His eyes drifted back and forth on the battlefield from his leaf comrade, his female friend, and the shinobi slowly closing in on the duo. Understanding he only had 3 arrows left in his arsenal, he had to be particular about his next shot down range.

He watched the two converse shortly in the midst of the chaos, both seemingly obvious to the dangers waiting just around them. N'Jobu figured they were likely aware of the situation given the prowess shown earlier by the ANBU nin and that he would likely not put himself in a situation from which he would not be able to escape from. Worst case however, N'Jobu figured he would assist in the situation by any means that he could without endangering his mission at hand to scout the area and report back enemy movements. For now however, he would have his bow nocked with an arrow ready to strike down onto the battlefield. The ANBU nin appeared to help his female friend to her feet, she being a bit injured yet able to stand on her own two feet. His appearance had changed quite a bit from a few moments before when he was kneeling at her side. Scales black as night appeared around his body, exuding the aura of a man possessed by some kind of dragon like entity. "What in the world is that..." N'Jobu questioned to himself as he sat in awe of what he was witnessing. From what he could tell it was some kind of strange ninjutsu which allowed him to form his chakra into a defensive like suit of armor. It was unlike anything he had seen before within Konoha but he wasn't all that surprised that someone who could keep up with the one who destroyed Suna would have some technique of that calibur.

The few moments of solace he had at his perch were soon interrupted by a small boy, similar in size to himself. He had scraggly black hair with large brown eyes wearing a Iwagakure headband. While he had no qualms in particular with Iwa nin, they were also not particularly allies in this situation. The boy approached with his hands in the air, "Hi, is this place safe?" he murmured out seemingly lost or confused. "Clearly not...this is kind of a battlefield if you hadn't noticed. I can't provide you any safety but I will let you leave without an arrow in your chest. You have about 3 seconds to leave on your own accord before I launch this arrow into you. 3..." N'Jobu blurted out annoyed that his position had been compromised yet again. He would continue his count down moving 1 step closer to the boy who would likely be retreating, ignoring anything he may have to say while trying to keep track of what was going on below. "2...I'm warning you!" N'Jobu shouted as he took one more step forward as the boy lept away as he was about to draw back the arrow on his bow. "Good," he whispered to himself as he returned his gaze back down on the battlefield below.

Realizing he would need to move in the next few moments, he picked up on a new target moving towards his fellow Leaf nin and his apparent love interest. Given that the closest shinobi was on her side and she was clearly injured, he figured he would try to take out at least one more enemy before moving to his next position. He drew back the arrow which had been meant to be sunk into the boy's chest from earlier and let it rain down like lightning from the sky. He tracked the arrows flight as it streaked through the sky and impaling itself into the chest of a radical nin. The strike of the arrow made him drop his weapon and fall to the ground as more enemy nin continued to close in on his comrades. "Time to go," he thought to himself as he lept from his perch in search of another defensive position where he could pick off more targets while he still had arrows to spare. He would continue to move closer to the action but still just far enough to keep out of view of the enemy for the time being.

The strange dread locked boy with the weird bugs and the bow and the arrow who seemed to notice him and as he asked if the place was safe the reply that it was clearly not since this was a battlefield. The boy did not promise his safety, but he did mention shooting him with an arrow to the chest if he did not leave as he defensively held his hand to his chest and after hearing the count down he backed away, and before he could test the hostile boy's hand he just ran away around the corner and returned to the core group of Makoto's.

Makoto prime, the original Makoto was sitting in the middle busy thinking about that new jutsu he wanted to make as he took out a note book. The idea was to make a jutsu to chase bugs away involving the use of fire or water as he thought about it he had two ideas. The first idea was to just kill the bugs with fire and the second idea was to wash away all the bugs who could not fly with water as well as to wash any bugs off him since burning them on him might be dangerous. While writing down his ideas for new jutsu he also wanted to attempt creating a weaker version of the water defensive technique in the library since he was not able to pull it off.

He made many attempts, in the end he made a lower quality version that was smaller and weaker which he would soon name the small water wall encampment. His attempts at making a heat wave ninjutsu had all but failed with him over heating and fainting on his first few attempts, he also tried to develop an explosive jutsu but the effects seemed to hurt him more then they hurt others.

Meanwhile Makoto clone four was still patrolling around, while Makoto clones number two and three were watching on both sides of the prime Makoto while he was busy writing down his ideas. Meanwhile the first Makoto clone was panicking slightly on his way back as he saw a group of soldiers he went into hiding behind a rock, he spotted patrolling Makoto four and they converged to meet up and then patrol the area together.

Then some guy looked like he was flying through the area and in less then a second the soldiers were just gone and the two makoto clones retreated in separate locations in case the guy spotted them and decided to kill them too. It seems who ever it was had just been fooling around killing people and was gone as they kept a close vigil. Meanwhile it seemed like Makoto was making progress in his notebook as he began with his attempts to improve on the basic bunshin jutsu as well as an idea for improvements to the hidden mist technique as well.

Some time passed as he would keep camping in his spot, at least until a threat was spotted as Makoto had a lot to learn about battle on the battlefield. In the end he might have the chance to see impressive new techniques and he was also inspired to learn how to use a bow in the future.

Ryo Knetegawa

Chuunin
Ryo struggled to get himself under control he couldn’t alloy himself to be taken out by such weak and pathetic foes. Really most of these people were localized militia that had been swayed to the cause of these insane people. There was nothing he could do about it now, he was supposed to fight, and that was that. There would be nothing else until the fighting was done. Looking around there were no shortage of enemies to fight, so he quickly singled out one to make his next foe and he quickly found a sight that made him angry. He recognized one of the people fighting and this made him very mad. This man was a former shinobi of Sunagakure, and he was fairly respectable back then.

Seeing him fighting against these people brought fury to Ryo’s heart. The man had fallen from his path, and there was nothing that was going to happen to change that. He was going to murder all of these vile traitors. They were supposed to guide the people through these hard times, not lead them to death. He and his puppet surged towards them with fury and soon enough he had Kuro slash at the shinboi’s leg with his sword tail. The shinobi wasn’t paying attention, and this was the only way that Kuro’s blade found a home and sliced him fiercely along his left leg. The man gave a loud cry of pain and dropped to one knee panting it pain. He managed to whip around and block the second strike of Kuro’s tail with a ninja’s blade the two pieces of steel singing out loudly. The song of steel continued as they traded blows. Yet, Ryo smirked and flicked one of his pinky fingers this caused Kuro’s mouth to drop open and the senbon that were hiding inside of his throat were sent flying sinking into the man’s arm and one in his chest.

The man gave a gasp of pain again, but the blade of Kuro’s tail shot out and stabbed into the man’s chest next to the senbon. The shinobi dropped the ninja blade and fell, but Kuro was upon him and he was biting the man’s face, neck, and stabbed his claws into the man’s chest. Granted these fangs and claws weren’t as deadly as Kuro’s blade tail, but it was good enough. The man didn’t breathe when Kuro was pulled back. Ryo could not rest as he noticed someone was coming towards him he snapped Kuro into place slamming the man with the large wooden puppet. It knocked the man to the ground and stabbed into him with his tail again and again. The last was through the throat and that was all that needed to seal this person’s end. Yet, he noticed that this person was not actually a man, it was a woman. This made Ryo sick, he couldn’t stomach what he had done. True enough that he had to kill all of his foes and protect the people the true people of Sunagakure. Only under the branches of the remaining great shinobi villages could the people of Sunagakure survive. This was just madness, all of this needless slaughter, all of this needless insanity. He hated all of it, every last bit of it, and there was nothing that he could do but fight.

He made his way to the dead shinobi and quickly found his senbon which he used to reload the senbon shooter inside of Kuro’s mouth. When he saw however that he was not alone and there were many others fighting alongside him he was heartened. It was good to see that there were many people who wanted to fight to keep the land from being swallowed up by this madness. Still, he had to focus so he did so. Using one hand he formed the hand seals to cast his next jutsu. A stream of water ripped from the ground and slashed through it

It began to travel into the crowd of foes slicing through some of their legs, and feet. This of course, would cause them considerable pain, as well as distract them from their fights. By the same stroke it would cause them to lose their fights falling to the attacks of their enemies. This alone brought down another five enemies, and Ryo decided that he would simply allow himself to be pulled into the dance. He let the water jet slice through the foes of his village, and the peace that he wanted for his people. As he let the water move it would travel around him slicing through foes, and hopefully not friends. He would have to keep his eye on it, but meanwhile he sent Kuro towards another fight stabbing Kuro’s sword tail into a militia man who was engaged with another opponent. The man was far too distracted to attempt to defend himself and he was brought down to one knee with his injury only to die at the hands of the man he was fighting.

The best thing that Ryo could do was not only to kill foes himself, but to injure those fighting against his comrades so that they could be dispatched far more quickly than before. His jet stream of water was working it’s way around, and he was using Kuro to great effect in this brawl.

Verdandi watched Bái Hǔ slice through the multitude of enemies. His claws, his jaw and his bladed tail working like precision surgery tools as it slowly defiled the multitude of enemies before him. Verdandi couldn't see any further leader types nearby and she was sure Bái Hǔ would take his time to properly mess up this whole flank until nothing of it remained. However, she would soon come to feel sort of useless. Making it hard to justify her presence above the tiger. Now that she sorts of had no chance to really be of protective value for him. Verd would wait until Bái Hǔ was done with his current spree and then casually jumped off his back. Giving his side a good rub and a snuggle. Removing any broken projectiles of his skin before she left the tiger to his devices to slaughter the masses, moving on towards a battlefield where she could be of proper use.

Makoto was sitting all alone as his clones stood guard over him as he began to brood over jutsu ideas, writing down ideas for new jutsu. Makoto began trying to figure out a way to combine the hidden mist and the water clone technique, which seemed to be a rather difficult task to complete. He tried his best to combine the two back home in Iwagakure, even trying it out in his small 1LDK apartment in the mountain side.

The problem came with how much concentration he required and the difficulty made it seem like it far out ranked the water clone technique, as it was perhaps of B-rank or A-rank in difficulty alone. He kept trying to figure out the concepts behind it as he knew the hidden mist jutsu was rather easy and that a water clone could perform the jutsu. The problem came in trying to enable the technique to break through after the clone dispersed as the water clone kept sinking into water.

He had practiced the technique in his new bathroom since water caused no problems for him in that location, except when he over did it and it leaked into the entry passage. A mistake he would not make again in the future as he tried various forms of water bending in order to try and cut back on the mess it made.

He also had ideas on more efficient fire element techniques, like a faster fire ball that could be fired from the palm of the user's hand or focused at the edge of a weapon. He began to wonder if there was a way to even combine the phoenix fire flower technique to perform another technique. He even wondered if he could combine them in order to create an explosion or expand on the barrage of the technique itself. The battle field was crazy from flashy white dust and the ground felt as if it was shaking. He had no idea who was so powerful though he knew this was something he could not ever get close to as he was now.

Makoto did however feel he had to prove himself here and survive so that one day he can find himself a true sensei in the village hidden in stone. He also had to work on getting new furniture as his home looked so plain only having basic kitchenware and no table to speak of. The battle field was a world in which madness existed the area he chose near the bug guy was actually a good vantage point as he witnessed some random fights he could not clearly see. Though he did pick on that their were archers out there like the bug user picking people off as he wondered if he should also take up the bow in the future.

The earth rumbled as the one clone grabbed Makoto having noticed it before he did and taking him out of the way as a guy popped up from under the ground clicking his teeth only to feel his arm grabbed as he tried to stab Makoto. Then as he wanted to bash that clone he felt his other leg grabbed as well as he prepared to shout out. However the other two clones converged slitting the mans throat and the other one stabbing a kunai into his cheek. The clones then proceeded to beat down on the man with their tanto's as the other two clones returned to patrol duties circling around, while the other two continued to stab the man in the eyes and slit his throat a few extra times for good measure as the guy made gurgling sounds. The two remaining Makoto's wasted no time as the original was now sitting perched up a bit higher sitting on the side of a higher point on this mountainous view point.

The two Makoto's let the man take his love for jutsu, his anger at not mastering his own jutsu and all of the sorrow that came with being unable to complete his idea on a simple jutsu. It was at this time his idea of creating the shining spear technique came to light as he wanted something to pierce through his obstacles and his frustrations. Makoto was feeling a bit angst as he wondered how long this battle would rage on, would he survive this madness that was war.

Makoto was the son of Indiana and Lara who through all their years never cared about clans, only looking for discovery wherever they went. Makoto was more then happy to stay wherever he was as long as he could learn new and exciting jutsu. Makoto even found the simple jutsu of some basic shinobi to be interesting, at least until he was able to use it as well after which he would lose interest in those shinobi and move on. For now any shinobi on the battle field seemed far too talented for him to risk engaging as his main idea was to attack who he had to, run away if possible and that was when he later decided it was time to play it safe and had two of his clones help him with a farely big rock that eventually took all four as they carried it to a visible yet far location escorted by the original. Once he placed the rock in a nice spot infused with some of his chakra he slid back further down as the clones joined him back in their original spot. They also took time to gather their shuriken and kunai as they began wiping them off and cleaning them, even though clones did not really need to clean their weapons since they would turn to water later. It was the principle of it that was important, not the practicality at the time.

Makoto felt it, he felt something deep inside of his heart. This feeling he could not deny, a feeling of something burning inside like a flame. It was not a will of fire, it was not the waters of life or the winds of freedom. He was not a bright spark of lightning and he was certainly no firm rock either. Makoto was a blank canvas upon which a masterpiece would soon be created, at least that is how he viewed himself in his art.

Makoto saw jutsu as more then just techniques or a means to an end. Ninjutsu and all jutsu were an art form, from the vibrant and abstract beauty of flaming fireballs and explosions, to the still beauty of a well made clone and a carefully forged weapon. In the end all that mattered was that the beauty of this world would never betray him, and that was when he heard an explosion and felt a rumbling as he looked towards the sound while his clones co-ordinated to look in the general vicinity. Whatever it was, as beautiful as that explosion was the mountain itself had its own beauty as well withstanding the test of time as it still stood he began to wonder if he would be as strong as the mountain or if he would end up being a big bang that explodes upon the scene before fluttering away into dust.

Makoto had his serious face on as he looked around, he did not like how things were as he proceeded to be very careful with most of his actions. Makoto had his trump card, the rock in which he could escape to and his clones were there to protect him regardless of what happens.

Name: Substitution Technique (変わり身の術 ~ Kawarimi no Jutsu)
Canon/Custom: Canon.
Rank: E.
Type: Supplementary.
Element: None.
Range: One prepared item in the user's clear line of sight.
Speciality: Ninjutsu.
Duration: 1 post preparation. Infinite postponement, Instant activation.
Cooldown: 6 posts after activation.
Description: The Substitution Technique is an age-old skill which enables the user to evade the effects of an attack by switching with an item in the area. (The item---or substantial clone---used for a Substitute must be as large as the user's torso, and must be prepared at least 1 post in advance by infusing it with 5 chakra.) Activating this jutsu for another 5 chakra, the ninja moves at untraceable speed for just a moment, and the item does so as well to take the user's place; the ninja leaves behind a flickering after-image for a second, which, if damaged, releases the chakra which holds it in place in a small smoke cloud, revealing the nature of the technique and the item they have switched with. Higher-rank ninjas' afterimages are able to show some of the signs of natural impact as if it were an actual human, if only for a very short period, before 'poofing'. The user coming out of the technique creates a similar audio and visual cue with a small cloud of translucent smoke and a 'poofing' sound on appearance in the location of the item they Substituted with. This technique causes the user to move at speeds untraceable to human perception, and therefore even the user cannot coordinate attacks during the Kawarimi, or activate any other jutsu. They, however, can maneuver near someone and then attack them after the fast-movement is finished.

Makoto's Melancholy

Raiu Mizuki

avatar

Jounin
After Daremo's pep talk, the kiri-nin seemed to enliven again. His skill still too lacking for a war such as this, it was nonetheless good to see him defend himself again. With all the courage and strength he could muster, he'd strike out at an invader in defence only to see the guy still standing despite that. Daremo would hop in and finish the job, an arrow passing just behind the now dead man to strike down a second one who had come to his aide. Both fell before they had realised what happened. It didn't happen often but caught in the flow of war, Mizuki's blue-green eyes gained a cold stare as the air around her was slowly dropping in pressure. The longer the kunoichi heralded the eye of the storm to come, the more that ideology took shape in the expression of her aura as the Storm Release nature native to the Raiu was slowly getting unleashed.

“We should try to group up with the Kumo puppeteer, and take the Kiri-nin with us. We would just be sending him to his death if we allowed him to head back to the base alone. At least this way he will have more protection until we can find Kiri shinobi to take him.”

Another arrow would find its target and pierce its throat clean as she nodded. She knew where Ryo was to be found but it was quite a ways from their current position since they had yet to move more towards the centre of the war field. For every man taken out a new one seemed to take its position, the flow of enemies still endless despite that the back rows had been marching on and getting closer. Bodies were stapling up, the gold sand under it long since hidden under the thick red liquid of life itself.

Daremo had a strategy, requesting her to be ready to fire after he was done with his part. He'd step out of the Bubblegum's radius and unleash his own technique. On a massive scale, shinobi dropped like flies as mist rolled over them making Mizuki's eyes bulge out in disbelieve for a moment. Had he just killed all these men with a single technique? Shivers would run over her back but caught in the moment of war, she quickly regained control over her own. But the worst was yet to come. Faster than she would have expected, three more hand seals were formed and suiton chakra in the form of a dragon was spat out of Daremo's mouth. The Water Dragon Bullet Technique? It much looked like one, were it not for the sickening colour it held. As it crashed into the battlefield, large scale necrosis would spread and create a most atrocious display which forced Mizuki to cover the eyes of the genin Kiri-nin at their side, urging him to move to the back row despite the former agreement to watch over him. If he saw this... There was no saying if he'd ever escape from the nightmare Daremo had brought forward today.

As the genin ran quickly to the back of the battle field, running and ignoring the vast amount of corpses at this point, Mizuki would grip Artemis solidly again. The 'Blade of Compassion' would shoot arrow after arrow into those that were riddled with necrosis, the Executioner using her bow instead of her katana to end the suffering of those that had been condemned to a slow death. All the while, she would move away from the Mists of Slumber and the Scourge Dragon step by step, inching closer to the middle of the battlefield with every arrow knocked and released.

At this point, it looked like the whole west side of the battle field had died out, redirecting those who had intended to run to find a different area now.

With a moment of respite at her disposal, Mizuki would swing her bow over her shoulder and form a set of hand seals of her own. Driven by the ranton nature and the state of war, it was time that the herald of Hastur who had once brought the black raiton thunder clouds on the battlefield would once more bring the Storm. This time it wouldn't be Hastur's. It would be her own, telling them why exactly Mizuki was known as the Lady of Storms within her clan. Forming the Snake, Dog, Snake, Bird, Dragon hand seals, the roar of thunder would resonate on the battlefield when she clapped her hands together to finish the chakra molding and disperse the chakra into the air. If the descend of pressure in the air around Mizuki had not been felt before, it certainly would now as thunder clouds gathered above the battlefield and throw so much as the whole area into a brooding kind of darkness. The first drops of rain would quickly be followed up by a real downpour, washing away the blood-soaked lands as much as it brought relief against the blistering heat.

In her element, Mizuki seemed to revitalise with new power and determination. The black thunder clouds would be recognised by many. Refugees sheltered in Kumogakure, Suna-nin who had perceived the clouds when Mizuki had come to Sunagakure for the first time and even shinobi from other Villages that had seen the dark clouds gathering when she had visited the Villages to deliver the Raikage's message would fully understand this symbolic appearance.

Bow in hand once more, arrows would cross the rain and strike down the opposition again. The advance towards Ryo had been picked up again, no matter how slow it would go. Until she took note of a familiar technique that triggered memories of a former mission. The man near Fuyuko revealed draconic scales - a technique she had seen before during the mission with Myrddin. His posture was eerily similar to the 'Iwa-nin' that had opposed them, now carrying the kamon of Konoha. Even his face was too similar to leave much doubt with the kunoichi of Kumogakure. That man... was the one who had kidnapped Myrddin. A member of Kumogakure.

"Daremo-dono. Do you see the man clad in draconic scales? He kidnapped an ANBU of ours. Let's take him out so we can figure out what he did with him and retrieve our ally if so possible."

Hoping the jounin would understand the necessity of saving an ANBU to prevent further leaking of Kumogakure information, Mizuki would use her clan's signature move to attract his attention considering Fuyuko, a Kiri-nin and former sparring partner, was in there. She didn't want to hit the girl on accident and would therefore use a technique that allowed her perfect control of its motion - Laser Circus.

"Ranton, Laser Circus", she'd say as she formed the hand seals of the technique, instantly creating a halo of bright light around her hands before the laser beams would arc over the battle field towards Takao, and bypassing anything and anyone that would attempt to shield him.

Description:
This form of weather control, a signature art of the Raiu clan, does more than just summon a storm in the area: it allows Mizuki to live the storm. After forming the handseals (Snake - Dog - Snake - Bird - Dragon) and clapping the hands together, the sound of a thunderclap is heard and the ranton chakra creates dark clouds laden with raindrops and voltaic energy (=round of preparation).

For the next three posts, rain pours down and offers an 'infinite' amount of natural water for all Suiton users in the area even though this water is chakra infused. Though everyone can use this water to fuel their own Suiton chakra, all Suiton jutsu making use of this chakra water other than those of Mizuki will have a -1 rank in effectiveness as the foreign chakra water is harder to work with.

Additionally, the air is laden with Mizuki's chakra, creating a discomforting pressure in the ears and granting Mizuki's next Raiton or Ranton jutsu a +1 in effectiveness. Naturally, this jutsu may serve as the base for other jutsu requiring the presence of stormclouds or the preparation of jutsu akin to this.
B Rank - Laser Circus:

Name: Laser Circus (嵐遁・励挫鎖苛素, Ranton: Reizā Sākasu)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Element: Ranton/Storm Release
Range: 50 meter
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Instant
Cooldown:5 posts
Description:
After forming the hand seals (Tiger → Dog → Snake → Dragon), ranton chakra is gathered around the user's hands as this technique is activated. Then the technique creates a halo of bright light around the user's hand from which the beams are shot out towards the enemy, hitting with pinpoint accuracy and easily bypassing hostages held in close proximity. Reaching 50 meter range in a little more than a single second (30 m/s speed), the laser beams burn/pierce up to three inch deep (7,50 cm), potentially inflicting deadly wounds. The user can increase the number of beams to a dozen to pin down an enemy and is able to alter the beams' direction within a 180 degrees arc (though moving ever forward, never returning) without any trouble after being shot to take down multiple opponents.

If three shinobi or more use this technique at once, it also has the convenient side effect of blinding the opponent for two posts.

Daremo

avatar

Screams of agony echoed throughout the battlefield. Men, women, and children who were unfortunate enough to strike down by Daremo’s vile technique begged for someone to end their suffering. The necrosis covering their body consumed their flesh with an insatiable hunger, stripping way their life like a vengeful plague, leaving behind nothing more than dead, blackened skin in its wake. To those who were inflicted by the curse placed upon them will find their screams to be unheard, drowned out by the sounds of conflict around them. The sounds of jutsus being performed, weapons clashing with one another, war cries to either boost or demoralize those around them, blanketed the entire area in a beautiful symphony that hid the screams of the dying. An important lesson was learned today, one’s screams would not be heard.

Daremo noted, from the corner of his eye, Mizuki had shielded the young Kiri-nin from witnessing the carnage on display. Sheltering them from the horrors of war would not do them any good. They need to get exposed to it now, ingraining what could happen on the battlefield when shinobis clash with the opposition and understand this is what a shinobi is capable of when fighting. It did nothing for them to be shielded from the macabre display. Let them witness the scenes of death now, and maybe it would not affect them later on. It was how his mother and earlier teachers handled him. They did not shield him from the horrors of the lifestyle, exposing him to it at an extremely early age, tempering him.  Some would be opposed to this idea, wanting to shield genins from the horrors, but, in his eyes, it was an idiotic belief. Shinobis was born and bread to walk alongside death, and if one can not handy that than they should think about their career choices. Nevertheless, this was no place to talk about such trivial things with Mizuki, maybe, after the conflict, such conversations can take place in a more suiting setting, albeit if they survive the endless wave of enemies.

As the arrows zipped past him, ending the suffering of those inflicted by his curse, Daremo eyes were rapidly scanning the battlefield, looking for other targets to reap. Never learning their lessons, three more civilians fell to his senbons, each of them having a hole in their chest, exactly where their heart was located. Their bodies only adding to the growing amount around them. Eyes flickered towards Mizuki, following her away from the growing mass of corpse. The Kumo woman having taken his warning about the necrotic puddles littering the battlefield, and lingering mist.

Seeing Mizuki going through a set of hand seals, Daremo played his role of protector and guardian. The shinobi who thought they could strike the Kumo woman down during her action was met by the silver-haired male. Senbon slipped back onto his person in time to grabbed the attacker’s left wrist, applying enough pressure for them to drop the ax in hand. Catching the unfamiliar weapon, he wiped it across the attacker’s exposed neck. Opening up like a can, blood gushed out and spilled down the front of the attacker’s body. Changing grip on the ax, he buried it into the individual’s side and kicked them away.

Unexpectedly, thunder rolled across the battlefield, nature’s own drumming signaling the harbinger of something dangerous. A strong and noticeable pressure was felt, and it did not take him long to realize it was coming from his charge. It was somewhat surprising to feel such a presence from a woman of such elegance and grace. From swordsmen and bowmen who leaned on the edge of merciful than merciless. Though, should he really be surprised? Mizuki was a shinobi after all.

What started out as droplets of rain quickly became a downpour. The rain soaking the clothing of those who were not prepared for the sudden rain along with providing relief from the blistering heat. Pelting the ground, the rain washed away all blood, cleaning away all that had been spilled, and is continuing to be spilled. Luckily, for him, the shield erected by Mizuki kept him from being soaked in the downpour. Speaking of the woman, she seems to be home in this element. The thundering overhead and constant downpour seem to be where she belongs, in the midst of a storm. How intriguing.

Radicalized civilians and shinobi who got too close to the pair would fall, if it wasn’t the arrows being fired by Mizuki, it was due to Daremo’s proficient use of senbons, leaving fatal holes in their bodies. The silver-haired male flowed with the woman’s movements, is becoming increasingly easier to work alongside her tendencies, striking all those who stepped towards them. The village of Kumogakure no Sato was not famously known for their teamwork ability, at least not on the level of Konoha, but the Raikages of the old were known for working in tandem with another, and while the teamwork showed was not on the level of those, there were glimpses.

Their advances came to a show when Mizuki looked in the direction of a male in covered in dragonic scales. He did not know the male, only vaguely remember him intercepting Lamya earlier in combat. Seeing how he was here, Daremo wonder what happened to the snake? Hopefully, she did not perish before she upholds her end of the bargain. Whoever the man was, for him to apparently face against Lamya, he was dangerous. Yet, it seemed, from the words spoken by Mizuki, he had a hand in kidnapping a fellow Anbu member - that was not good.  It is no telling what the man was able to peel from an Anbu’s lips. Torture is a wonderful means in loosening up most people. “Are you sure?”, He inquired, wanting to make sure the woman did not mistake the man for someone else. There would be no need for an answer, as he saw Mizuki calling out a technique name, and going through the hand seals. Ranton. He had heard about the advance element, but this was the first time seeing it in action.

”You are the Avatar of Pestilence, is it time to give them a glimpse of who you are, and the monster you will be in the future. Go, my hatchling.”, The words of the beast, formed from his untimely death when learning Senjutsu, gave him the permission needed. Chakra began to churn violently within his being, “Mizuki, keep at least 30 meters away from me. It is time to announce my presence.”, The words were nothing more than a chilling whisper upon the screams of those dying but was loud enough for the woman to hear.  Moving across the battlefield, cutting down those who go into his way, a little over thirty meters was set between him and his charge, standing to the right of her, but far enough that his technique would not affect her.

Him being isolated caught the attention of many enemy combatants who surrounded him, wanting to snuff out his life. Foolishness. Without warning, a pressure descended upon those in the vicinity. This pressure being something unlike what many experiences. It was sickly, vile, twisted, it molested the senses, churn the stomach of the weak, and made those in the area feel sick. Light green chakra oozed from his pores, transitioning into a darker hue as it wrapped around his body, forming shroud of chakra 10 meters in radius. No sooner after the cloak was formed, two things would happen simultaneously. The first being, a foul, prudent odor, smelling like decayed flesh,  swept through the battlefield, causing the weak to involuntarily empty their contents onto the ground. Vomiting was the least of their worries, a dark green mass of chakra peeled away from his body. Fifteen meters wide, the way of necrotic energy overtook everything in its path, in the direction of the man who apparently kidnapped a Kumo nin. The nightmare did not stop there, for those around him began to scream in pure agony as their flesh was rotted away, dropping off in morbid chunks. An unseen force swept through the men, women, and children that surrounded him in a thirty-meter radius, ending their lives without discrimination. It matter not who it was, their body became riddled with necrosis, and their souls departed from them. What was happening was vile, disgusting, and unnatural . . . it was beautiful.

Too many, they would not be able to comprehend what was going on. Only the strongest individuals will see the horror that surrounded Daremo. They would see the cloak did not stop at 10 meters, but, expands in a thirty-meter radius. It reaped the souls of those who were unfortunate enough to be in range. Daremo did not move from his place, standing where he was at, letting the fools who dared to step into his kill zone die a horrible death, watching as the wave of energy approach the dragonic scale male, and preparing for a potential counterattack.

When the discussion of which specialization harbors the masters of chakra control only two comes to mind - Genjutsu and Medical Ninjutsu. Their ability to mold and manipulate their chakra is second to none, and it is not surprising considering both of their craft rely on precision in order perform at an optimal level. Daremo, being a medical ninjutsu specialist, understands the need for having complete control over his chakra. Through the years of manipulating and molding the energy source to save and take lives, he has mastered the art to a degree like no other.

Usually, a shinobi has to perform hand seals in order to get their chakra to move in a certain way to perform a jutsu: Daremo does not. The man having mastery over his chakra to the point he doesn't need hand seals to perform any jutsu, instead, his chakra instinctively move as if the hand seals were already made. For a single turn, Daremo is able to perform jutsu(s) without needing hand seals or to vocalize them.

Description:
Kinjutsu. Entropy: Faux Avatar of the Diseased God is labeled a forbidden technique due to the nearly irreversible damage it can cause on a wide scale. The finalized version of Daremo’s former signature technique, Pestilence’s Cloak. Activated either through three hand seals(Rat -> Bird -> Horse), or none if another technique allows for such, the restraints on his chakra is released; his system being flooded with yin enriched energy. Light green chakra oozes from every one of his chakra points, forming a ten-meter radius shroud around him. Simultaneously, the energy’s composition began to change to a necrotic nature, a hallmark of who he is. The light green chakra transition into a darker hue with a paler green mixed within. By the time he made the second-hand seal, the shroud shrinks, conforming to the shape of his body, like a typical shroud. The cloak starts just below his skin, and covers the remaining of his body, including hands. Because it is his chakra, Daremo remains unaffected by the shroud’s properties.

Deceptively confined to a ten meter radius, the truth of the matter can only be perceived by those with S-3 perception or having a doujutsu that could perceive chakra, if they aren’t already dead. Instead of the shroud starting confined to a small area, it expanded to encompass a 30-meter radius. Because of the shroud in casing the practitioner, and within the radius,  chakra sensing doujutsu will have a harder time predicting their movement and seeing their chakra points. Feedback from sensing the practitioner with a S-rank or lower sensory technique causes the recipient to suffer a massive migraine due to the large qualities of chakra being registered. These are but the side effect of the cloak.

Damage wise, the necrotic cloak causes major 3rd-degree necrotic tissue damage, killing off all the skin cells making up the dermis layer and everything above it. There being a noticeable prudent smell from the blacken and decaying of flesh. Furthermore, for each post afterward, the necrotic damage spreads 3inches with its severity increased to minor 4-degree tissue damage, and continue on spread until heal. Fourth-degree damage is characterized the skin becoming charred, the necrosis having killed off all the cells within the skin, and underlying fat, muscle, and bones.

This technique will result in death if any of the vital areas, specifically the head and upper and lower body, is hit by the technique. When interacting with weapons or non-organic matter(the environment), the energy flows down and over the item/object at a speed of 10 meters per second. With his system being flooded with yin enriched chakra, offensive jutsus is treated as a ‘Entropy’ technique, cause necrotic tissue damage equivalent to a -1 of their ranks along with their normal effects if applicable, or, if the technique already causes necrosis damage it would be able to spread ½ inch every two posts till healed by a medical jutsu equivalent to the jutsu’s rank.

This cloak, as it is,  has zero defensive capabilities. It should be apparent, become engulfed within the cloak will result in death.

[Senjutsu]
When Sage Mode is activated during or after the course which "Entropy: Faux Avatar of the Diseased God" is used, the technique becomes empowered by the natural energy. The shroud seemingly vanishes from the user, requiring SS-0 rank Perception to perceive it, and noticed the radius has increased to 50-meters.

Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Element: -
Range: 40 meters
Specialty: Medical Ninjutsu
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Six Posts | Once Per Thread(Optional)
Description:
By forming a single hand seal, Rat, dark green necrotic chakra wafts from the practitioner's body. Foul, prudent, shinobi B-rank and below will find themselves, involuntarily emptying their stomachs(vomiting) upon the first whiff of this practitioner's chakra which has a distinct smell of decaying smell which has been left in the sealed container for months on end. Shinobi of A-rank, lacking the strong will trait, will find themselves having a queasy stomach from the smell alone. However, the smell is just a side effect of the slow rolling mass of necrotic chakra, that is  15 meters wide, which rolls across the terrain at 30 meter per seconds up to a distance of 40 meters as it looks to contaminate items, weapons, armor, and other A-rank and below nonorganic objects, engulfing them entirely. For the next three posts, after the initial release, barring the practitioner, anyone, barring the practitioner,  who touches something infect with this chakra will have the touch limb/body part, if not covered in armor or chakra, affected by necrosis that causes major 2nd-degree necrosis damage. If an exposed part of them comes in contact with the wave itself than they will suffer minor 2nd-degree necrosis damage, along with anything that might happen afterward.

This jutsu will automatically occur(the user has no control over this) when "Entropy: Faux Armor of the Disease God", ignoring the hand seals. If the jutsu has already been used, it will still activate, ignoring the cooldown, at the cost of +10 chakra and the cooldown being 'once per thread.'

Special Jounin
His face turned a little sour again once she had stated her intentions again. It became evident to her that he did not agree with her choice of staying on the battlefield. Was it because she has already gotten injured? Perhaps he didn’t want to see her be at risk of getting hurt at all. It mattered little to her, she was determined to stay. Not because she wanted to fight so badly or because she wanted to gain experience in fighting. No simply because felt duty bound to do so. She felt like she owed it to the other mist ninja that were fighting around her. Defending their fallen comrades and ensuring a proper battlefield where their leader could take out the foreign assailant. Luckily he wasn’t going to stop her from doing what she ‘wanted’ to do. She probably would’ve hated him for stopping her in the moment, but would understand afterwards when she had calmed down.

Feeling his forehead pressed against her own felt nice and reassuring. Letting her know that he was there for her, ready to protect her whenever she needed it. His words felt comforting as well. Her hands weren’t really made to be stained by the crimson color. She much preferred capturing over killing, but the color that she bear opposed that idea. The blue that had a history covered in red did not show mercy, it did not give a second chance to those whom opposed its ideals. Takao weaved some signs as their foreheads parted again. Slowly his entire skin got covered in scales of black. Fuyuko was unaware of what the purpose of the black scales was, but it looked like a layer of protection.

It was then the she noticed a couple of beams maneuvering their way through the battlefield straight for where they were standing. She quickly tossed one of her scrolls out of a pouch on her vest, rolling open on the floor. Waving a hand sign of herself while telling Takao to get behind her. She was just in time, the laser beams moved fast and were definitely steering clear of her. However the radius of the technique was big enough to cover herself and Takao from any harm they might try to cause. Screams of agony followed up immediately after. They weren’t screams of people dying. No these screams sounds of people burning alive. A singular person left standing in the middle of it all that made its way towards them. Seeing as they didn’t discriminate between whom fell victim to their technique, she quickly determined that the person was also a foe for herself. Quickly Fuyuko formed a snake seal, her hand lighting up and small bolts of lightning flew from it. Aiming her hand at the new threat before firing the technique.

She didn’t really want to see whether the technique was going to hit or not and so she got on her feet again and started to run the same direction he was moving. Hoping that she could out run whatever was causing havoc upon the battlefield.

Despite the howls of battle around him, an odd sound caught Takao’s attention, if only out of curiousity. His gaze shifted and settled upon the approaching beam of chakra. His first instinct was to take a step forward, his scale-protected and boot-clad foot slamming down hard in preparation for movement, however Fuyuko was already weaving a hand seal and unraveling a scroll. He lingered nearby and allowed for the jets of Burning Ambition to form at his back, just in case he needed to intercept the attack yet, but watched as Fuyuko sealed it away into the scroll with admirable ease. His gaze lingered on her for a brief moment before his head lifted and his attention turned toward the source of the attack. Glowing orbs narrowed in on the source, whose visage remained vaguely similar in his memory. He had seen it once before, albeit shrouded in the distorted colours of Aibāningu, yet he knew it well enough to recognize her. Sharp teeth clenched and ground against one another, having thrown himself into an inopportune fight after having already notably fatigued himself. But with Fuyuko present, he had no choice but to steel his will and press onward, even with his laboured breathing acting as a clear indication of his growing exhaustion.

The woman who Takao recognized was not alone in her assault. Another man appeared to aid her, whose aura left the unsuspecting dregs of war necrotic and dying, if the Reaper’s cold hands had not already taken them into their grasp. His armour would protect him from all but the strongest techniques that a shinobi could muster, yet Fuyuko did not boast the same levels of defense as he. It left their cooperation in a tight spot, as Takao’s manner of fighting was better suited for mid to close range, which left him unable to both attack his newest quarry with unrelenting force and stand by Fuyuko’s side as he said he would. He opted for the latter and stayed close to Fuyuko as he moved, evading the growing copse of death that had befallen the blighted sands of war.

"Fuyuko," Takao said as he positioned himself in front of her, in case they should attack again.

"I can’t use my stronger techniques again just yet. We’ll have to keep our distance from this guy as long as his aura is up." He continued, communicating his current status to her.

"I’ll do my best to attack with what I have, but I’m still drained from my other fight. If he keeps coming closer, I’ll use hand to hand. My scales should keep me safe from whatever that aura is." The fight with Lamya had left him without a substantial chunk of chakra and energy, thus leaving his hand forced in terms of what strategy was available.

Fight is continuing in this splinter thread.

As he sat at his perch just slightly above the action, he noticed a woman and a man heading towards his compartiots on the main battlefield below encroaching from the western side. She appeared to be an archer like himself, striking down everyone in her path with a hail of arrows. At the man appeared to performing what looked like a Water Dragon Bullet but something was a bit...off. It had a palish green color to it and appeared to do something horrifying to those unfortunate enough to be caught in its wake. "This is getting too intense for me. A good scout knows when to retreat and live to fight another day," he contemplated to himself. As he prepared himself to head back to the camp, he looked down back at the Leaf ANBU along with his female companion and wished them good luck in what was sure to be a difficult battle.

The man and woman approaching from the western front continued to close in, effectively forcing N'Jobu to retreat to back to the east far away from whatever they may have in store for those on the battlefield. A storm appeared to rage just over them, stemming from thin air as it began to downpour  over the western front, washing away the blood and flesh decorating the battlefield. Just as he was about to move he saw a bright flash of light expand from the woman's hands, and watched several beams of light streak across the battlefield toward the ANBU nin. The beam of light however was quickly intercepted by his female compatriot with what appeared to be some form of sealing type jutsu, or something similar. "Looks like they can handle themselves," he muttered to himself as he felt a little better about having to leave them without some support, albeit as limited as he was able to provide.  He started to move quickly, turning his head slightly to maintain a bit of situational awareness as to what was happening as he retreated. The streaks of lightning appeared to have subsided but now it appeared as though the man was performing yet another vile jutsu. This time an aura of desolation and pestilence appeared to emanate from his body in a wide circle, causing anything and anyone it touched to befall a gruesome fate judging from the screams of agony coming from those who were unfortunate enough to be caught in its radius. The screams of despair and agony were forever etched in N'Jobu's brain, as he would have a difficult time forgetting the atrocities which he was witnessing.

He continued moving towards the east away from the chaos of the battlefield where he ran into a familiar face. It appeared to be that unarmed Iwa-nin from earlier which had attempted to seek refuge, however this time he was surrounded with what appeared to be clones of himself each wielding tanto's with a dead shinobi laying at the foot of his little hiding spot.  "So it appears he wasn't just some unarmed combatant after all," he mused to himself as N'Jobu moved closer to him. N'Jobu was a bit annoyed by the Iwa-nin's attempt to potentially trick him and prepared to confront the boy and strike him down for his deception should he need to.
