Samuru found himself in the right place at the right time. As he was heading to the take on a mission. One came through where he was to be teamed up with an exchange student. He was interested in how this was going to playout. The mission wasn’t quite that simple. They were to dispatch bandits from a local village. It was definitely the perfect chance for Samuru to get some training in. Made things even better, he didn’t even to have to leave them alive. Life or death situations Samuru would take more seriously.

A lot his missions up until now didn’t involve in a lot of combat. It made sense with him not having really proved himself in these lands. The best he could do was take on missions that would support whatever village he was currently working for. Samuru did his best to complete those missions and somehow hadn’t screwed any of the missions up or any one else he was teamed up with. Samuru was quite intrigued that he was able to get another C-Rank mission that involved combat. Samuru wasn’t really the kind of guy to errands, but it kept him going. Not many things to look forward too when your aspirations were quite complicated.

Samuru stood out on a path leading to the village and anticipated the arrival of the leaf shinobi that was to help him. He knew nothing of what skills his new partner would bring to the table. Maybe he didn’t even need to find out. Samuru was very straightforward of an individual who would casually walk up to the bandits and take them on as a whole. Samuru wasn’t even sure that he would even need to burn chakra during this mission. What truly did the Mizukage’s office have to offer him this go round. The ryo should be pretty good as well if they played their cards right. Samuru could already count the ryo in his head clashing together with his current earnings. One thing his father made sure of before he died was the importance of being financially stable and staying that way. Samuru hadn’t been the greatest of keeping his wallet full. Like many wanders there were times where you had to do a little bit extra to make up a deficit. Giving up a meal or two didn’t affect him too much. It was just the benefits of not feeling pain.

Having recently entered the country, Sachihiro was excited to view the sites and get to socialize amongst the common folk. What better way to do that than a mission request? “Yes!” He thought excitedly. He was a little nervous however as this was his first time actually taking on a combat mission. He hadn’t necessarily further developed any other of his abilities. However, he was happy that it was with a fellow Genin.

“Taking on bandits seems easy enough” he thought to himself, reviewing the mission papers as he headed out the administration’s office. He munched on a bean filled taiyaki he had bought from a street vendor “Two Genin can take this mission head on.” Even at their level, they were bound to outrank the bandits in something. He knew he had the stamina and a few offensive jutsu in his arsenal to smoothly carry out a mission. He wasn’t one for violence either but he was always glad to lend a helping hand, especially when it came to injustices being done onto others. Usually taking on a calm composure whenever a fight seems to be imminent, he can become a little panicked if the situation becomes too overwhelming.

He shifted through the papers “Samuru.” He read “That’s who I’ll be taking this mission with it seems” as he headed through the gates and followed the trail to the small village. “I wonder what he’s capable of. Perhaps he’s a Suiton user too! I could learn something from him.” Having grown up a Senju, he was taught that socializing is an important aspect of becoming a shinobi. Connections make one stronger and without that, one can not grow. However he was as excited as he was nervous. He had even saved an extra taiyaki as an introduction tactic.

“I hope the guy likes ham eggs”
As he walked down the paths leading to the village he spotted a young red-haired man. It was obvious he was waiting for someone and it was safe to assume this was going to be the Genin he’d working with. He quickly put his papers away and proceeded. As he got closer, he noticed the man’s face to come off as somewhat cold and emotionless. He wasn’t sure whether to speak as it almost seemed like it would barely barter a reply but he took the chance.

“Could you be-“ he paused for a second, remembering the name he had been repeating to himself since his small trek from Kiri “S-Samuru?” and proceeded to go for the common handshake. “I believe we’re going to be partnered together.” He made sure to be as well-mannered as possible, even bowing beforehand as this man was his elder.

Samuru noticed someone walking down from the direction of Kirigakure. The kid approached him with a kind look on his eyes. Samuru knew that he probably had what they called a good heart, but he couldn’t comprehend what that was. Normally, it was someone who didn’t wish evil on someone. Samuru knew that would get you killed if you weren’t careful. He wasn’t sure how young this guy was. It seemed like each time he turned around genin seemed to get younger and younger. The boy even called him by his birth name. Samuru knew that he probably should have registered himself as soley Perun on his documentation. Well, it was too late now.

Samuru looked down at the boy’s hand for a few seconds and reached out a gloved hand to shake his. He then turned back toward the direction of the village that needed saving and started marching toward it.

“Hey kid, call me Perun. Call me Samuru and I’ll rend your skull from your body. Got it? So, let’s go kill some bandits”

The ronin went on his way down to the village. Samuru was a bit disappointed that the shinobi he had met so far didn’t have any fierceness. He even doubted the boy’s talent when it came to fighting. Whatever the feelings or anxiety the boy had, he would need to shake it off as soon as possible. There was no room for emotions in combat. Emotions were things that if misused in a certain way, they could be used against you. Samuru knew of ways to manipulate people’s emotions to get them to do what he wanted or to throw them off. Hopefully, the bandits they faced weren’t that bright.

Samuru would give Sachihiro the benefit of the doubt. The shinobi may be hiding some inner potential that he wasn’t aware of. The paperwork he received was not quite in depth about who his opponent was. He knew at least that Konoha shinobi weren’t always to be perceived as being weak. There were many strong Konoha shinobi that had emerged one being someone who hailed from his clan. The boy must have some strength at least to be teamed up with him. That was unless whoever was administering these mission didn’t really care who they teamed up with who. Regardless, Samuru would do what he would have to do to at least try and keep both of them alive. It would look bad on his report if he let a shinobi from the exchange program die over something silly and asinine.

As he continued to walk he noticed the village up ahead. It seemed oftly quiet. A bit too quiet for his liking. He wanted to scout out the area a bit to see what was going on. The village was so small that he wondered if it could even be called that. A homestead, maybe. A village, not so much. This was a mission to behold. He wondered if his new partner would have any ideas about going through with this. Samuru wondered what his name was. Without looking back, he pursed his lips slightly.

“How do you want to do this, kid? I prefer to go straight in, but it may be better to get some surveillance. What’s your name anyway?” he inquired.

The boy responded with a tense smile “Perun” he replied “Got it” He’d be sure to remember that the next time he needs his attention. Although now was not the time to be mistrusting of man with such an odd aura. Their personalities were practically polar opposites.

“A little too cold” he thought too himself, but not need to get on his bad side. They were teammates for the time being so he figured, with this man’s mannerisms, he’d keep unnecessary conversation to a minimum. He couldn’t read his personality per se, but he did get the feeling that their wasn’t much going on when it came to emotions. An ice breaker bared no meaning in this conversation, as he would often quip with a joke, it seemed this man would simply respond with a blank stare.

A “get the job done” kind of vibe. The type of shinobi that would go through hell and back to complete a mission. A feat to be admired, even amongst those of higher ranking. Even so, trusting a comrade could be considered an even more astounding feat, especially within’ the ranks of shinobis.

As he followed his teammate down the path to the village he too realized there seemed to be a lack of activity going on, and was much too small to be considered a village. Even from a distance it felt empty and it was obvious that it had just recently been pillaged as most of the windows and doors had either been broken or shattered. Burnt roof tops, still smoking from its recent raid, its charred wood slowly being eaten away by the feint embers. These bandits seemed to lack restraint when getting what they want, but they were definitely successful.

He looked at the Genin. Having just asked for his opinion, he was surprised he asked for his name. Seeing the red-haired shinobi’s face as he asked, he couldn’t help but think “getting to know someone must be a painful task for this guy”

“Sachihiro” He replied and figured he’d find a spot far enough from the small village next to a sizeable boulder far from enemy sight and continued in a quieter voice “It seems like a good idea to survey the place. Rushing in would leave you open to an ambush especially if we don’t know if the enemies are nearby. However I can perform the water clone technique for a more careful approach if need be”
He took a second glance around the corner, just to make sure no one was on them and proceeded to form the tiger sign, as to prepare for the technique if the plan was to be undergone.

Samuru knelt down next his companion, Sachihiro. The kid actually had some abilities to think with some wisdom. That was a plus in Samuru’s book. The kid wasn’t so bad after all. He also knew the water clone technique which he had yet to learn. This was definitely going to be quite interesting. He would agree to his partner using the technique. There was nothing wrong with him using it. Samuru would actually need to put that on his list of jutsu to learn. He had been so focused on learning raiton techniques that he totally neglected his suiton abilities. There was plenty of things he could do with both raiton and suiton. Though, he had become quite skilled with learning and using raiton techniques. It was mostly a genetics thing that he was well off and able to use them with great ability.

“Do it. It beats sitting around doing nothing.” he responded with a stern voice.

He drew his weapon, Drobilka, and held it down toward the earth as he crouched down next to his comrade. The best he could do would try and keep an eye out. There wasn’t much else to do with the abilities that he currently knew. The abilities that he was currently proficient in were combat related. Samuru figured that it was probably time for him to learn some more supplementary techniques. Everything wasn’t just run and gun. Though, he was quite proficient in running and gunning his way through life. Samuru also wasn’t stupid and didn’t alway long in head first into conflict. Sometimes, you had to sit back and watch others fall before you would intervene.

“You seemed skilled enough. I haven’t even learned the water clone technique yet. Something I should have learned a long time ago.” he said as he kept a lookout for anyone that may spot them.

Samuru didn't care for playing lookout too much. It was something that he thought was beneath them, but they were trying to play this mission as cautious as possible. The last thing they would need is to be running into an ambush with the bandits making an escape. The papers he had said that they were bandits anyway. If they were shinobi, they may be a bit more troublesome. The two of them should be capable enough to handle anything that comes at them. Well, that's what he thought anyway.

At his partner’s consent, he commenced to weave the rest of the signs needed for the jutsu.
Woosh! Water rose next to the genin almost immediately and began to take his form. Upon completion, the clone turned to Sachi, nodded its head and proceeded to bolt around the corner and into the tiny village. The clone moved carefully throughout the virtually emptied village with Kunai in hand. It was him after all, so as he would, the clone proceeded to approach the doors.

Back behind cover he couldn’t help but smile at the narrowed compliment “Thanks Perun” he replied “If you’d like, perhaps I could teach it to ya” figuring it was a good way to strengthen the faint relationship, the boy turned back at his red-haired partner “Maybe over a sparring match?” he jested. He figured his type of character wouldn’t mind a friendly match or two, hoping he wasn’t the kind to get carried away.

At this point, Sachi and his clone were on the verge of being 30 meters apart, any more and his clone would dissipate. He could almost feel its chakra dwindling as it neared its range. As it approached the doors to the homestead one could hear the soft creaking of its doors being opened.
“Wh-who is it? I’ve already given you everything we’ve got!” a shaken voice replied at the clone behind a barely opened door.

“N-No, we’re the Shinobi you requested. We’re here to help”

A sigh of relief was heard as the door quickly opened and from it emerged a middle aged woman accompanied by what one could assume was her family “What a relif.” To which she then looked at the clone up and down “That’s it? They only brought one?” she glanced around as if to look for more

“Uh, no. I’m actually a clone” it then turned to the original Sachi and gave him a thumbs up

“Alright, we’re good to go!” Sachi told his comrade “Seems like the coast is clear” He got up from behind the rock and made his way towards the homestead’s rickety porch.

“Oh thank goodness” the lady replied “It’s a pleasure. I figured there’d be a little more of you, but I guess when it comes to shinobis you only need a few”

The clone stepped aside as Sachi approached the woman, bowed his head and shook her hand “Looks like the bandits have already been by. Would you by any chance know where they’re headed?”
“Yes” she replied, almost angrily. As if she was too familiar with the place “It’s actually not too far from here. Just head west and follow the river by the shore. There’s a shack there. That’s usually where one can find those sorry excuses for people” and proceeded to spit at their names.

Chakra 211/250:
Name: Water Release: Water Clone Technique (水遁・水分身の術 ~ Suiton: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu)
Canon/Custom: Library
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Element: Suiton/Water
Range: Clones cannot travel more than 30m away from the user.
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Until clones are destroyed or cancelled
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: The Water Clone Jutsu is similar to the Shadow Clone Jutsu except it creates clones out of water that have one-tenth of the original user's chakra - taken after the initial activation cost of this technique has been deducted. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water. Water clones are capable of only using suiton jutsu provided they have enough chakra to cast it. Regular jutsu cooldowns apply - if a technique is used by one clone, it cannot immediately be used by another clone. A maximum of six clones may be created at any one time. The clone automatically disperses when it runs out of chakra, or when hit by any attack that can cause the equivalence of a C rank technique in physical damage [major bruising, 1-2 inch cuts, etc.] or a C-rank/2 D-Rank offensive jutsu. The user may willingly disperse a clone - returning any chakra the clone has left to the user - but this can only be done under the condition that the clone is not under direct attack. Clones which have been dispersed by other means - ie. taking damage - do not return any chakra to the user. Elemental clones created will have a 'clone' of the user's weapon(s) up to C-Rank in strength.
*Clones have their own jutsu cooldowns and do not share them with other clones unless the jutsu in question was cast before creating the clones, in which case it starts on a cooldown when the clones are formed.

Samuru’s comrade had now created a pretty convincing water clone. “Wow,” he thought to himself, “even his clones seem polite.” He muffed out a “hm” when he was given thanks. Samuru wasn’t used to giving or getting any kind of praise. He wasn’t sure what benefit giving praise would do. Though, he did noticed how some people reacted to it. Some seemed quite appreciative like Sachihiro and others seemed like it was some kind of bad joke. Samuru found the kid interesting enough. Teach a jutsu over a sparring match seemed interesting enough. Samuru didn’t like rejecting a chance to show his abilities.

“Well, kid. We’ll see,” he responded to the idea of a match.

It wasn’t long before Sachihiro’s clone gave an all clear. The redheaded shinobi sheathed his axe before moving toward the villagers. He was about to ask about where they could find the bandits, but Sachihiro already stated his peace. Sachihiro was a lot more skilled than he let on. Samuru actually may have found him somewhat useful. Well, helpful even. Samuru figured his skills outside of combat showed well enough. Though, he was more interested in taking out the bandits. The bandits is what would get them paid and the sooner they were taken out, the better.

“Well, lady, thanks. They won’t even know what hit them. Also, you may want to put those fires out before your whole village goes up in flames,” he stated before walking to the direction of the river.

He could hear the water over the crackling of the flames as he neared them. There was definitely a shack by the river’s shore. Samuru withdrew his axe again and looked around the area. Everything seemed to be clear, but he could barely make out voices coming from the shack. There wasn’t anything that could have been seen that looked any shape or form suspicious. Not being the really patient type, he opened his mouth toward the direction of the shack being a good distance away from it.

“Hey cowards, come and meet your fate!”

One bandits looked out the window before the small troupe had marched out of the shack to greet the shadowy, yet loud figure. The bandits were all wearing tan colored clothing and it was quite unappealing. Out of all the colors they could have chosen, why did it have to be one of the blandest in existence. To Samuru, they looked like they were trying to imitate Kumo nin with their not so fancy bandanas. The bandit leader that wore a red bandana seemed to stand in the rear of the other four bandits that had lined up with each other. This was obviously a terrible ploy of cowardice that the man had to hide behind a bunch of meat shields. Samuru would release a slight grunt under his breath before saying anything.

“I heard you guys liked to have parties. I got have one coming for you,” he said with a stern voice and without any form of excitement. He was eager to attack, but would wait and see what the bandits would do next.

He smiled at the thought of meeting up again with his fellow shinobi sometime in the future. He had even considered developing his doton if they were ever to find the time to train. Now however was not the time to ponder on meeting places for a spar.

As they made their way down the river, his clone still in tow, he thought up of a way to approach the shack. Maybe go in stealthily, find the chance to strike and go for the leader. Perhaps find a blind spot or a flaw within’ their shelter and collapse it. Either way it would be something that he had to clear with his partner first.

“I’ll mention once we get there” he thought to himself. No need for further small talk. It seemed the best to follow through would be once this shack was scouted. Even so, he had kept his clone on him. No need to dissipate it as he would be having to redo the jutsu, using up unnecessary chakra. Following the road he began weaving mock hand signs in preparation for the unavoidable battle that would soon ensue. He looked over at Perun, his cold eyes staring off onto the shoreline and with that he moved over to his partner’s left and with the same mind, his clone move to Perun’s right. If anything were to happen unexpectedly, at least there was some strategy in their defense.

“There it was!” He mused as the shack came to view, just as the lady had said, a small shack near the river by the shoreline. Perhaps if it was in better condition one would have thought they made good use of their stolen wealth. Just as he was about to get his partner’s attention, he yelled out at the shack.

“Oh” he said nervously. He should have expected this, considering Perun had told him just how liked to fight. So thinking on his feet the boy quickly turned to the red head “Alright Perun, I’ll keep you cover” the clone stayed close as it drew its Kunai and Sachi a few meters away and placed himself at the flank. Just in view of the bandits and out of his partner’s way. Preparing himself for a ranged jutsu.

At this point, the bandits had emerged, whooping and hollering as they equipped themselves with their Kunai.

“Go ya’ idiot!” the leader called out and one of the bandits let out a battle howl as he charged toward the red-haired shinobi. Almost a crazed look in his face, the charging bandit went in and attempted to slash at Perun’s chest.

“Don’t waste my time,” he said in general.

The great Perun stood as he was charged by one of the bandit’s. He watched with cold eyes as one of them ran him with a kunai. It wasn’t anything special. These bandits were hogwash compared to the bandits he used to run with. There wasn’t going to be much time to react if he just continued to stand and watch as his opponent come after him. Then he noticed one of the other bandits started to move toward him as well. This definitely would make things a bit more interesting. Samuru’s axe began to spark to life as white raiton flowed through the weapon. He swung his weapon releasing a wave of white raiton toward the bandit. The wave hit the bandit straight in the chest as he fell to the ground. Blood splattered from his chest as he muffled in pain trying to stop his wound from bleeding.

Samuru then extended his middle and index finger toward the second bandit as they became charged with raiton. He took his left hand off of the axe and placed it perpendicular over his outstretched right arm. A small ball of raiton fired from his fingers and moved toward his target. The first hit the bandit in the chest. The next one hit him in the leg and as he tripped he aimed one at the bandits head. It wouldn’t be enough to kill him, but it would be enough to do distract him a bit. The bandit cried out as the shock bullets hit his body. Samuru continued to fire them at the bandit equaling a total of fifteen shock bullets at his opponent. Samuru even continued to fire as the second bandit would lie on the ground covering himself. Perun just shook his head. He found it pathetic, but it wouldn’t end there.

The second bandit in a rage of fury forced himself up and ran toward Samuru with a punch directed at his face. The red headed shinobi placed both hands on his axe and swung it vertically from the ground up. A trail of splattered blood followed the axe’s movements as it was lifted into the air. That was enough to stop the bandit as Samuru then plunged his axe into the bandit’s neck as the man fell to his knees in shock.

“Well, that was interesting. You bleed pretty well,” he said as the second bandit passed out onto the ground.

The sand around him became bloodied. Samuru laid his axe onto his right shoulder and motioned for the rest to come as a taunt. He didn’t want to take all the action away from his partner, but he almost forgot the clone had been right beside. Samuru wasn’t even sure where the original had gone off to. There was definitely a bit of flavor to the way he did things and it was hard for him not to be overconfident in his abilities. Samuru still had a long way to go as far as skill was concerned. If these weren’t total brutes, he may have had a harder time fighting them. Luckily, they didn’t fight him with jutsu. Though, he was sure he could handle them, but just not all at the same time. This was a time he was fine with having some back up to help him out.

“Even if you guys did hit me. I couldn’t feel a thing,” he taunted with a straight face.

“Nice” the boy watched as his partner proceeded to take out two of the leader’s minions without a scratch on him. They were after all just that, minions. Sachihiro though saw the chance to head to the leader and proved some cover fire.
Just after his partner had performed his jutsu, the water clone quickly rushed past the two fallen enemies and proceeded to jump off of one’s back and into the air. Finding an opening in their formation, the clone had a clear view of the leader. It weaved its hand signs “Water Release: Water Trumpet!” raised its hands to its mouth and proceeded to spew a jet of water past the two bandits and toward the bandit in charge of the whole operation.

While this was going down, Sachi was now at the enemy’s left flank who were currently fixated on Perun and the water clone. The plan he had been thinking of since his water clone was formed seemed to be in the works and he acted accordingly. He weaved the same signs as his clones and almost in tandem, proceeded to spew a separate jet at the same target.

“FWOOSH,” the two water jets landed, heavily bruising the leader and letting out a howl from the pain. He was noticeably damaged and angrily turned to Sachihiro. His newfound objective was clear, to destroy this boy.

He figured the man was skilled and considering his rank he figured he’d ware the man down before he initiated in close combat. Luckily the man was heading towards him “I’ll kill you!” the man yelled as he raised his fists and lunged at the boy, going for a quick jab to his face.

Unfortunately the boy hadn’t been fast enough and took a direct hit to the face leaving him with a moderately bruised face, knocking him back a bit. His nose was bleeding and he couldn’t help but wince at the pain. The boy reached for his Kunai and went for a slice to his stomach but evidently missed, as his opponent was significantly better at him in combat.

However, the leader was too fixated on the young boy that he hadn’t noticed the clone had bolted past his bandits and easily plunged a Kunai onto the man’s back. He screamed as he realized his mistake and threw the clone off and dissipated as it landed. The leader now heavily injured writhing pain was only a few well-placed shots away from being defeated. Now in a limp and bleeding from his back, he snapped back at his bandits.

“I’ll take care of the kid!” he yelled “You take care of that idiot with the axe!” to which the two bandits responded and began charging at Perun, kunai in hand.

Samuru watched as his teammate began his assault. It was truly intriguing. The water clone technique was something else. He was a bit more convinced to learn the technique after witnessing it’s utilization. If Samuru wasn’t so cold, he may have given a laugh. The leader seemed like he was ill equipped to handle a lowly genin. The leader then began to bark out orders. Two on one definitely made things more interesting, but Samuru hoped that these two weren’t as disappointing as the last two bandits.

The red headed shinobi looked to the oncoming bandits as they charged at him. Samuru wasn’t sure quite sure how he wanted to handle the bandits, but they wouldn’t give him enough time to sit and think. It was time for action. Samuru formed a hand seal with his free hand. He moved over a couple of meters to the right as the bandits started to follow him. He then released a jet of water through the ground. The jet hit the bandits leaving them injured and slightly crippled as the attack had caught one of their legs and the other’s arm.. The bandits made a poor attempt at dodging the attack. There wasn’t much going for him at the range they were at.

Samuru watched as the bandits took the damage head on and continued to get sliced up by the jet of water. He waited to how many cuts they could endure before passing out. Well, that’s if they didn’t bleed to death first. Samuru didn’t utilize this technique often and he was curious on how this technique would put up against fleshy targets. The jet of water had created a one meter deep crevice into the ground, which would definitely leave a nasty scar to the earth’s surface. He would hold the jutsu until he saw fit. The bandits would definitely take a loss on this day. After watching Sachihiro hold his own against the leader, he felt like he could continue his experiment in unbothered.

While the user can have this jet chase down the target at a speed of 25 m/s up to 20 m, it can be somewhat easily avoided if the target can jump high enough to clear over it. The jet can cut up to 1 inch into targets with a direct hit, with the wound measuring up to be at least 5 inches long, and is capable of splitting through most terrains, leaving a meter deep cut in the ground.

ThThe Senju had got back on his feet and desperately weaved his final hand signs. “Water Clone Technique!” he shouted. Immediately followed up by a swift jab and an uppercut from the leader, busting the boy’s lip and bruising his eye. He flinched and was knocked back a few feet, as he couldn’t react in time to the man’s superior fighting ability.

“Stay down k-“ the man would’ve laughed had he not noticed the Senju’s technique had come through. The man was now surrounded by six successful clones. A dumbfounded look on his face as he looked at each individual clone that had surrounded him from every angle. Knowing he had no fighting chance left he retorted “Is that you’re only trick?”

The boy didn’t answer as he got up, wiping the blood from his nose and spitting out crimsoned saliva. He wasn’t here for remarks or flashy statements. He was angry and tired making it clear he wasn’t in the mood for small talk. He along with his clones raised their fists and proceeded to advance on the surrounded man, holding back no attacks. The leader let out a final yell as he proceeded to defend himself with whatever energy was left in him.

The leader quickly took down the first clone that lunged at him, turning it into a mere splash of water. A second clone went for his arms, stabbing him at the shoulder but was swiftly taken care of by a powerful blow to its head. Having no time to react to the remaining four clones, he was quickly defeated by the flurry of fists that ensued. There was no chance for him to defend himself and he was left a bloodied and beaten mess. He wasn’t dead as all one could hear from the now pulverized man on the floor was a faint wheeze as he gasped for breath from his now blood filled mouth.

As Sachihiro looked at the beaten man, he turned to his partner, giving him a thumbs up. He had won and captured the leader, all that was left to do was take care of the last two. He had full confidence in Perun, seeing that he swiftly took care of the first two, the young man seemed to enjoy fighting. Why not let him take care of the last two? With this assurance the boy yelled out in encouragement with a winded breath “GET ‘EM!”

Simply having him and the last four clones watch as they cheered him on in an almost bloodied cheerleader-like fashion.

Clone 2: 19/19(defeated)

The bandits continued to get sliced up by the technique as he continued to watch. Perun looked at the sight that he saw. The look of the bandits being tormented did nothing for him. Their pain and their anguish triggered nothing for his soul. Samuru may have thought that he may finally be able to amplify any form of emotion. Though, he was wrong. He felt nothing. There was an emptiness that he couldn’t change. His experiment was pretty much over. There was no longer any need to continue beating a dead horse. Nothing else he would do could get him to feel anything. His experiment was mostly a success from what he could see. It was time to end it.

Samuru ended the technique as the bandits had already started turning the earth red. He began to walk toward them as he flourished the giant axe in his hand. The deep moans that crept from their throats would excite any sadist. Samuru glanced over their wounds to study their unique markings and how the cuts and abrasions contorted their skin. It was an interesting sight. Samuru hummed slightly as he just realized that his partner offered some praise to him in the background. That was definitely something he wasn’t used to. He was a bit intrigued that the leader was now subdued and wasn’t going anywhere.

“Too bad you didn’t put up a better fight,” he said to the bandits.

Samuru used his boot and flipped the two bandits over on their backs. For each one, he swept the blade of the weapon across their neck as they began to spill their life liquid from their contorted bodies. The fight was over now, but he still wanted to keep going. He figured that his body still had plenty of energy to burn, but he would just find something else to do. The mission was pretty much over, but he was wondering how they should handle the leader. Samuru wasn’t the one for letting people survive. Arresting the bandit seemed to be a waste to him. The bandit didn’t need to waste a jail cell. The leader looked like he hid behind a wall of flesh to protect him. He didn’t seem to have much fight to him. It was a major disappointment.

The red headed shinobi sheathed his axe and walked over to his teammate. Blank stares continued to look over the leader’s body. Sachihiro did a decent job, but Samuru was curious on how the boy wanted to handle it. Dragging this wretched soul all the way back to Kiri did seem pointless. It would take less energy just to slice his throat, but he figured that he should probably work on his people skills a little bit. Being a pain to everyone definitely had its drawbacks. Samuru scanned his eyes across the clones trying to decipher which one was the real Sachihiro. After a brief moment, he just gave up.

“Well done, kid. So, what do you want to do about this pile of trash? Kill him or take him back to Kiri.”

The boy couldn’t but cringe at the young man’s cold hearted tactics. Although expected at this point he was hoping that he would show some mercy to the poor fools. His partner’s methods garnered results in a job complete and with the bandits out of the picture it seemed so. Their objective was to simply stop them by any means necessary. Whether these methods were through killing or neutralizing didn’t matter. They were more of a burden to the mainland than anything else.

The boy sighed and rubbed his face as his partner asked what they should do with the leader. At this point the man had no fight left in him and barely had the chance to get up. He looked down at him, pondering what they should. I mean, what could he possibly do? The red haired shinobi, had it been him facing the man he would’ve been dead long ago. So he gave it another thought. Perhaps he’d be the one to show mercy. There was no need for more blood on these soils, and he was sure this man wouldn’t dare do something like this again. There was no use.

He finally responded to Perun “Let’s take him back to Kiri. You don’t have to worry about taking him. Leave that to me.” Sparing no time, the boy and his clones quickly picked him up as the man let out a slight painful groan “I’ll let the lady back at the homestead know everything’s been taken care.” He felt responsible for the social aspect of these missions considering his partners cold demeanor and proceeded to walking down the path to Kiri.

The trip wasn’t long as he they weren’t too far off from the main city and the boy swiftly turned the man to law enforcement. He headed over to the administrations building with Perun and turned in the mission and with that he bid his partner goodbye.

“I hope I’ll be seeing you. Perhaps we’ll find the time to train with each other someday”

Samuru raised an eyebrow at his partner’s response. He wasn’t surprised that his partner had decided to let the bandit live. He just nodded his head as they headed back to Kiri. There was mostly silence from him as he walked with his partner. He had learned a lot about dealing with his last few mission partners. They were truly interesting characters. He would never tell them that to their faces. Samuru wondered what kind of shinobi would they make. Friendliness was something that was strange to him. There weren’t too many shinobi that he met that had an innate good spirit.

Samuru had always had this curiosity of why people treated each other the way they did. It made no sense to him. He was a firm believer of giving a service to receive a service. Doing things out of the “goodness” of one’s heart didn’t make any sense. Samuru was probably more a mercenary at heart. Doing things for free wasn’t something he cared too much for. They were paid to take care of the bandits, but this man didn’t deserve to live. It was just what he was used to. Those who refused to make due with what they were giving would have to deal with the outcomes of their choices. The bandit choose to become a criminal and for that he deserved a criminals death.

As they tidied everything up, the young genin spoke to Samuru. He was definitely eager to train with the young genin. The thought of having another training partner within the village was something that he appreciated. The road for him would be an interesting one. Thoughts of settling down in a village were definitely there. It was how he was to act upon it. The idea of being able to roam free and hone himself was something that he practiced for the past few years. There wasn’t much that had been going for him though. Inspiration for jutsu was a bit more difficult without witnessing techniques from others. Though, he had seen a lot of jutsu in his day to be able to cope.

“Sure thing, kid. I kinda wonder how you will progress as a shinobi. See ya,” he responded almost half hardheartedly.
