It had been raining all day long, not that Kaito minded, he prefered the rain more than anything. It always made him feel more at home, on the battlefield though, it was a clear advantage to any Shinobi of Kirigakure,  Osoroshī, Kaito was not the exception to this either.

He'd made his way through the rain earlier this morning until he'd come to his destination. Apparently, some of the higher up decided he needed more training before his transfer to feid duty was finalized. The hospital had made him too soft combatively. He'd been paired with another genin for the day, Kaito had only been told they were to spar and report their results. It was obvious to Kaito this was a test, he only hoped that even if he didn't win, he'd at least prove his worth enough to get his transfer approved.

The training field was just a fenced off field just outside the city itself. The shore could be heard from here, as the waves threw their foam into the air. The trees blocked his view, but the taste of salt in the air was thick enough to cause Kaito to lick his lips. Perhaps if neither he nor his opponent was injured to severely, they might be able to get something to eat afterwards. Afterall, now that he was leaving the hospital, Kaito would need to form a new circle of friends. Kirigakure was not a village where you wanted to be alone, even in times of peace.

It was still early in the morning when Kaito arrived, about an hour before he even needed to be here. For the life of him he couldn't remember this particular training field, but he knew he'd at least visited most of them during his time at the Academy. Still, it was always to one's advantage to know their surroundings.

He'd started by walking the perimeter of the fence, getting an idea of how large of an area he'd have to work with. It wasn't like he was afraid of getting close and personal, but as a medical-nin he'd only ever really been trained to fight from a distance and Kaito knew that having to deal with someone in his face would throw off his game.

The training area looked to be a few hundred meters along each side, with a decent amount of trees, grassy areas, and even a few places of sand or rock. The foliage could make for good cover, and he could use the trees to attempt to scout if his opponent hid from him. Luckily, the rain had left enough puddles for him to not be completely without a water source.

All that was really left was for Kaito to wait for his opponent to arrive. He could feel the weight of his newly acquired senbon in his back pocket as he brushed his hair from his forehead so it wasn't covering his headband. He'd never liked fighting his fellow shinobi, it didn't really bother him or anything, but it had always seemed like a waste until now. Before now, Kaito's job had always been to heal injuries, not to cause them.

For a second he had second thoughts about his transfer from the hospital to a more combat role, but it was quickly brushed aside by thoughts of his mother. He'd been told she was MIA, likely dead, and he was willing to accept that, but he'd never been given the chance to bury her, or even a part of her for the sake of closure. He needed to do this, he needed to find answers and that wasn't going to happen working at the hospital.

All he knew about his opponent was their name,  Yuki, Yoshito. Yuki. Wasn't that the one of the great Clans of Kirigakure? Kaito had never heard of this Yoshito guy before, more than likely because they were from different classes at the Academy, but Kaito was a little nervous considering the Clan of his opponent. Kaito's family didn't really come from a Clan, sure at some point or another, but the Osoroshī name wouldn't exactly strike fear into someone, even if they did recognize it.

Pushing such thoughts aside, Kaito made his way back to the entrance of the training field so he could wait for this Yoshito dude to arrive. He didn't want to make a poor impression, especially if he ended up losing their little duel. Hopefully everything would go well though, at least well enough for Kaito's sake.

The rain, however so slight, was bothering the young Yuki clan member as he walked to the training area he was assigned to. He was no stranger to seeing the heat of battle although the examples are ones of low level and from missions from within the borders the experience was still there. However, to progress within the ranks of Kirigakure one would have to be ready for all scenarios and as such Yoshito was informed that he would be training with a new genin on this day. As his strides brought him closer and closer to his place of training he made mental notes of what was on his person and what could be used for battle. His hand stretched down to his right leg as he would feel the imprints of three kunai sitting in his pouch handle up so he wouldn't accidentally stab himself in the heat of battle, after this he reached to his pouch on the left side of his body and could feel the impression of five shuriken inside. He was ready to go for this mandatory training.

The boy was wearing his normal attire, the half-open robe with an enlarged sleeve for no real reason on his right-handed side displaying his right to be his dominant. As Yoshito got closer and closer to the training grounds he could see a shady silhouette accompanying the entrance and Yoshi threw up his hand waving to the figure. Getting close enough to see his sparring opponent is when Yoshito would make simple introductions as to not get in the way of training, "I'm Yoshito Yuki, and you're Kaito Osoroshi? Alright, let's get into some training!" The young man standing at five foot one would make his way to the center hoping his partner would follow him and make his way to just in front of them where any respectable opponent would be in the beginning of a training bout.

As Yoshito took steps to the center his head turned about scanning the area for anything to be used as a cover or if need be some kind of improvised weapon. The landscape was flat for all intents and purposes and littering the land would be a few trees, high standing grass patches, as well as some random rocks, made wet and distorted due to the constant rain that Kirigakure was so accustomed to. When Yoshi's body was where he wanted it to be the young man would stand in a stance that most would know, mocking that of a normal taijutsu stance ready to start the dance between the two. His legs were bent across from each other diagonally, his torso slightly turned towards his opponent as his right hand was bent upward in front of him with his left standing at the ready to grab a shuriken at his left pouch if the need arose quickly for such a thing.

The wait hadn't been a long one and the rain had started to lighten up, which would be a good thing at least. A clearer sky would mean they'd both be able to see each other easier, and with all the puddles laying about, Kaito noted it wouldn't be wise to take to the trees should the clouds break. Early morning sunlight reflecting off the puddles could blind him should he take that route.

After returning  a brief greeting, Kaito found himself following the clearly younger boy onto the training ground. He knew he should focus, but Kaito had to admit this Yoshito guy was rather attractive, his bluish hair looked soft and the exposed skin of his upper torso and the sneak peek at his stomach was enough to nearly make Kaito blush. That was, until he saw the Taijutsu stance his opponent had taken. Shit!

Kaito made sure to stand at least fifteen meters from Yoshito, if he wanted to attack he'd have to close the distance. Readying himself to counterattack, Kaito paused before nodding he was ready. "Don't feel like you need to hold back, I'm a medical-nin so if one of us become injured we should be fine." Despite the fact his opponent was planning to use Taijutsu, Kaito didn't want to risk the chance at a proper challenge. He needed the training after all.

Hopefully this distance would be enough to give Kaito a slight advantage. A few jutsu at the start to keep Yoshito on his toes would hopefully be enough to allow Kaito the chance to land a hit or two. If it really came to it, Kaito could always use his Senbon to slow the Taijutsu down, though he'd wait until he was forced into more short range combat to utilize those.

Readying himself to go on the move should he need to, Kaito pulled his hands together, forming the Bird Hand Signal before asking his opponent. "You ready?" Kaito would allow his opponent to make the first move, he couldn't afford to get careless with a taijutsu user. He had to keep the distance between them for as long as possible.

Kaito's plan was simple, wait for his opponent to rush forward, unleashing a barrage of condensed bullets of air just as his opponent closed in, or should his opponent attack from a distance, keep light on his feet to dodge and reposition himself before using the same technique to counter attack.

With any luck, Kaito would be able to at least maintain the distance between them even if he didn't manage to land a hit. The moment the fight came to a duel of martial skill, Kaito would be at the disadvantage. He had to take his opportunity to land a hit or two now in the hopes of slowing Yoshito down enough to not be such a threat once his opponent did manage to close the distance between them.

At first everything was silent, Yoshi was focused on the task at hand and even though it was raining, the pitter patter of the drops hitting the earth fell silent to Yoshi's ears. His eyes stood steady on his opponent scanning him carefully for any potential threats. He watched as the boy gave the two a little space between them potentially in hopes of making this a longer range battle than Taijutsu could provide an advantage. That was okay, Yoshito is a ninjutsu specialist, after all, he was just hoping to get in a little workout with his Taijutsu moves is why he took the stance. The shot forth a slight gust of wind around the area when Kaito's voice cracked the silence. To respond to his opponent Yoshi simply nodded with a grin. Yoshi's once bent legs went into full motion, he started on his way toward his opposition in the area a mere fifteen meters ahead of him, as he started his strides Yoshito's right hand reached for his pouch and threw two kunai at his opponent. One aimed at the boy's torso and the other was making it way at Kaito's left thigh. Yoshi knew any respectable shinobi wouldn't allow such simple tricks to stop them and this one wouldn't be any different in Yoshi's mind.

After throwing the kunai Yoshito, still in motion, was thirteen meters from his target and continuing on his path in an ever-changing diagonal way. One could compare this method to something similar to the way a snake moves its body as it slithers atop the ground. "You're gonna wanna dodge those." Yoshito said in a relaxing tone so to not worry the boy, he was told that Kaito had little to no combat experience so he wouldn't bring out anything too crazy to hurt him, this training exercise was meant to teach the two how to battle quickly and efficiently, at least that's how Yoshito was treating this. Upon reaching nine meters from Kaito Yoshito would decide to take the fight to the sky, his legs propelled him up into the air about three or four meters.

Taking into account he saw the boy weave a hand sign before Yoshito threw his hands together interlocking each finger gathering chakra into his body focusing with his hands. After that, gravity started to take its toll on the boy but it wouldn't matter that he was falling to the ground for he had made the minimum requirements holding his hands together for long enough. Yoshito thrust his palm forward and suddenly the slight breeze from before turned into a cyclone type wind aimed directly at Kaito. This would push Yoshito back up a little bit but not much and it was good, in case Kaito had decided to put his hand sign from earlier into use and fire off a jutsu of his own. Soon after, Yoshito fell to the ground landing on his feet, the momentum of gravity and the pushback that the jutsu he used causing the space between them to measure out to a total of eleven meters after calculating the forward motion with jumping and everything else that had come after.

Yoshito would take this time to equip his hands with another kunai just in case the boy would do anything physical based in retaliation to Yoshito's onslaught in the form of a projectile weapon or taijutsu, even though the boy didn't seem much of a taijutsu user one could not afford to make mistakes such as not counting for everything during battle even if it was just a training session. "That was the Gale Palm technique. It summons a great gust of wind from your hand." He wasn't sure if Kaito was the type to listen to his opponent babble during a battle but if this was a training session Yoshito would treat it as such and allow some experience to rub off on his opponent whom he was told had little to no combat experience. Keeping in mind that he was a medical ninja would be a good thing in case either of them got out of hand during the training.

Description: Wind Release: Gale Palm is a technique where the user releases a powerful stream of wind against their opponent. To perform this technique the user merely has to slam the palms of their hands together, holding the pose for at least a second. They then break this pose and immediately thrust the palms of their hands towards the intended target. A powerful gale will fire out from the palms of both hands towards the intended target at 12 m/s. On impact, this gale can send someone flying back 5 meters, as well as shredding clothing and causing countless 1/2-inch deep cuts on exposed flesh. It can easily knock projectiles that clash into it aside, as well as increasing the speed and penetrative power of projectiles traveling within the stream, allowing the weapons to pierce roughly half an inch deeper than normal.

Kaito pushed down with his feet as he bent his knee to the right, never breaking the bird hand seal as he moved, before jumping to the side a meter as Yoshito began to move forward. His opponent had thrown two kunai to his previous location, and Kaito let them fade from his mind as they cut the air where he'd just been. Opening with a Taijutsu stance only to follow it up with a ranged attack was smart, but typical.

Kaito wasn't one to rely on his ninja tools before using jutsu however, as tools such as kunai could be used in various useful ways. Once you were out you were out, unless you managed to pick them up at some point in the fight. Opening with a decent jutsu on the other hand allowed you to keep such ninja tools for when your chakra was running low or you had no other options.

His opponent was moving side to side enough that Kaito opted not to just strike at first glance, knowing at some point Yoshito would need to come at him directly in order to attack. That was when he'd unleash the growing chakra in his lungs. All he needed was for just one Air Bullet to hit, just one, even a minor injury was one Kaito could work to his advantage.

The pattern of movement Yoshito used to start closing the distance between the two of them meant that he had some sort of understanding of what Kaito was meaning to do. But he had to wait for his moment to strike, otherwise Kaito knew he wouldn't be able to land a proper hit on his opponent. For this end, Kaito infused even more chakra into his lungs, readying himself to let loose his counter attack just as Yoshito jumped towards him.

With Yoshite in the air, mid attack, Kaito doubted his chances at dodging all six Air Bullets, even if whatever jutsu his opponent was about to fire off ended up dispelling a few of the Air Bullets. Just as the genin clapped his hands together, and without waiting to see what sort of attack Yoshito had planned, Kaito let loose the barrage of condensed bullets of air. There were six in total,  spitting them out at Yoshito in rapid succession. The two Fuuton based attacks would most likely collide and counter each other, but with any luck at least one of the six Air Bullets would make it through the aftermath and hit their mark.

The only other thing Kaito could do was prepare himself for the blast of wind once the two jutsu interacted with each other. Kaito would make sure to allow the blast to carry him into backwards roll, before heading for cover behind the nearest tree. Assuming he was even able to make it that far before his opponent gained sight of him again, Kaito would pull out a couple Senbon before waiting to see what happened next.

Description: A technique where the user fires a barrage of condensed bullets of air. The user forms the bird hand seal, condensing their chakra into several pressurised spheres of wind that the user spits out in rapid succession towards the opponent. These air bullets are transparent spheres, and are roughly 4 inches in diameter. When fired, they travel at roughly 10 m/s. Direct impact by one of these spheres will knock the victim back a meter, tear through light clothing and cause 1-inch cuts at the point of contact. If a bullet passes near the target (within 4 inches from the edge of the bullet), it can leave small lacerations (1/4 inch cuts) on any exposed flesh it comes near. Three bullets are created upon activation, which must be fired in rapid succession. Each additional bullet costs -5 chakra each, with a maximum of 6 that can be fired in total within the duration.

The two techniques collided in an explosion of chakra, the genin was shot backward but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. Yoshito's head bent downward and using the rest of his muscles in his torso he used the momentum of the colliding chakra to propel himself into a backflip landing on his feet looking in the direction of Kaito eleven meters from his position. The wind seemingly pushed everything back and was made apparent when Yoshito scanned the scene with Kaito still in his sight so not to lose track of his opponent, the mud directly underneath the clash had been forced downward making a slight indent in the earth that the two were fighting on. "Nice work there Kaito, equal opposing jutsu clash together canceling each other out and you even made extras to try and hit me. Remember though, with wind there's always a blowback effect so you basically just wasted that small extra bit of chakra." Yoshito hollered to the boy in a teaching fashion, not to embarrass the rival genin or demean him but to bring it to his attention for any future references.

Talking in a fight always left the speaker at a disadvantage, it allowed the opponent to know where the speaker is at all times or make it easy to know where the next attack was coming from. Yoshito decided to take a trick from Xiao's book as he had previously seen when they were doing a mission not long before this training session. Yoshito rushed forward to Kaito, "I'm coming! allowing the genin to know his position wasn't a smart move but it allowed the young man to actually feel like he was teaching. If he were to sneakily attack him it wouldn't really teach anything and the point of this exercise was for the two to learn together how a battlefield works and how it doesn't. As Yoshito ran forward he was down near the ground, it didn't slow him down at all but he had a reason for being down there, his left hand reached into the mud as he scooped up a mound of mud, Yoshito continued to sling the mud at his opponent to try and blind or catch his attention long enough to Yoshito to get in his face, with his right hand he dragged the kunai along the mud to gain some substance on the tip and when he got close enough Yoshito slashed the kunai upward in front of Kaito not to hit him in any fashion, he used the loose mud on the bladed edge of the kunai to sling yet another gob of mud at his opponent wherever he may have gone after the first projectile.

Using the first two projectiles as coverage so to speak Yoshito had the upper hand here for if he chose to dodge with a lunge he would be right up on the boy with a kunai in hand. Still lower to the ground Yoshito while up on the rival genin would perform a sweeping kick at the boy's legs, instantly afterward his hand would catch the mud and push himself up into the air to catch his opponent with a fist with the hand that was free of a kunai. After all this Yoshito would land on his feet, knees bent but not low to the ground as he was before, his knees bent only to allow suspension to cease any falling damage he could possibly have gotten from falling from such a distance from the ground. Yoshito then put his hand with the stained kunai in front of his body holding the blade slanting downward to the ground in a defensive-like stance in case the opponent had any projectiles that he would block with.

Damn, the extra Air Bullets had no effect. Kaito had never actually used the jutsu in combat before, so this was a good point for him to learn from. To make matters worse, despite being force through the air, Yoshito had managed to land on his feet. This wasn't good, and while normally his opponent taking the time to stop and chat would have annoyed Kaito, it allowed him that extra few seconds to try and pull one over on Yoshito.

Kaito just hoped that Yoshito wasn't always this talkative, as sooner or later it'd get him killed. The mental image of Yoshito's slender frame on an examination table after being KIA gave Kaito a lurch in his stomach. He never liked seeing the young genin brought to the morgue at the hospital. It didn't happen often, but it happened enough to make sure Kaito never wanted to see his comrades killed, not that he'd want such a fate for them anyway, but as a medical-nin, it was his duty to protect them more than if he'd been a regular ninja. Most KIA deaths among genin were the result of injury caused by accident, very rarely were they killed by other shinobi. At least, among those that Kaito had seen.

Kaito was pulled from his thoughts as Yoshito began running toward him, seemingly finished talking now. His natural instinct was to use the Hidden Mist Technique, but that was something he mainly used for running away from combat since medical-nin weren't meant to engage. He had to break such habits. In an actual fight he had no way of seeing through the mist, that was another skill Kaito would have to develop.

Thinking fast as he watched Yoshito bend over mid-run, scooping up the mud and knowing full well what his fellow genin had in mind, Kaito instead of dodging or hiding, squatted down just as Yoshito threw the mud. This ensured it'd pass over his head as Kaito quickly signaled the hand signs for Dragon, Rat, Horse, and finally Tiger. He reached out with his chakra, grabbing rocks and sticks from the ground around him before sharpening them into stone shuriken and wooden kunai, sending eight projectiles flying towards Yoshito.

Part of him hoped his fellow Genin would dodge them, Kaito had sent them towards the other boy so they'd hit him between his neck, all the way down to his crotch. The other part of Kaito hoped they'd hit, at least a couple of them. So far their fight was going no where, and while Kaito dreaded the sound of flesh being pierced, he also wanted to win, to prove his worth as a shinobi even in this small way.

With this thought in mind, Kaito reached into his back pocket while running forward, a kunai in his left hand and three senbon in the other. He'd be able to use the kunai to block an attack, while either throwing the senbon at Yoshito, or stabbing at him if he was too close for a ranged assault. Either way, Kaito was tired of play the defense, it was time he took the offensive route as he ran diagonally and to the left towards Yoshito in the hope of catching him at an advantageous angle.

[OOC: Calling hit from the second glob of mud thrown from my kunai's tip into the eyes just after you sent your shuriken jutsu]

Each step brought Yoshito closer to his target, he wasn't expecting much from his silly antics he learned from Xiao but in this case it had been effective. After Kaito had dodged the first mud bomb he actively weaved his way through a couple hand signs signaling a jutsu to go off. Suddenly around Kaito a few items scattered around his body levitated, Yoshito was still coming however, they launched into Yoshito's direction just after he had thrown the mud from the tip of his kunai into Kaito's eyes to blind him a bit. The mud hitting open eyes had to hurt but it also would obscure his vision quite a bit for the time being. On a roll Yoshito couldn't stop, the shuriken were coming after him but Yoshito was ready for this, he had previously trained for moments just like this and before the jutsu could take any real effect against the young Yuki clan member his body dropped into a sliding motion as the weaponized items whizzed past directly above him.

While Yoshito was already in this sliding position he utilized this to his advantage to continue he followed through with his previously planned attack. From the sliding position, Yoshito's right leg took the lead as he slid with his left side along the ground. Yoshito's right leg knocked Kaito from the ground he stood on bringing him downward and in a flash, Yoshito kicked upward with his left leg and all the muscles in the left side of his body shooting it up in a standing position catching the opponent with his right hand. He wanted to laugh in victory, this is the first time he fought an enemy of his same rank within the village, one that could possibly be an ally of his, maybe even in the same squad someday should they take on a sensei. But how could he laugh? He wasn't born in this village so his traits weren't that of bloodlust, although he wasn't necessarily a pacifist how could he take pleasure in causing harm to another person who could possibly be his partner for the village someday.

His hand was wrist deep within Kaito's stomach at this point but not within his actual stomach, just for effect, the battle ceased for a moment. The rain dropped down on the two as the world seemingly disappeared in front of Yoshito's eyes, his senses blurred as everything went quiet but there was one sense that remained vigilant. Feel. His hand felt warm, much warmer than it should have if he had just punched his opponent, on top of the warmth there was a kind of wet sensation flowing overtop his hand dropping from the side of his hand. [i]Blood? How?!?[i] Yoshito was surprised at this, within his hand was the kunai he never let go or put back in his pouch. His eyes widened as he gritted his teeth, how could he have done such a thing, this wasn't a normal punch it was an erroneously used kunai in the heat of battle. He must have forgotten he had it in his hand with everything that was going on if he had kept it in the front lines of memory he most certainly would have defended himself with it from the shuriken jutsu that Kaito had thrown his way when he made his way toward his target.

He held Kaito's right shoulder with his left hand as if holding him up to keep him steady and stable. He felt responsible and it was his fault, this was just a training exercise and a simple lapse in memory made it a near fatal experience for the two of them. They were to report back after the training session and if he had shown up alone it would be his head to repay for the blood spilled in the Mist. Not to mention he was still a newcomer within the village, who knows what the recently promoted Mizukage might do to Yoshito had she found out something like that had happened. Luckily though, the kunai had only entered Kaito's side of the stomach seemingly not causing any lasting damage but it would hurt like hell probably for a couple of days unless they sought out a medic to take care of this.

"Kaito are you okay? I'm so sorry I forgot I had that in my hand or I never would have-" He cut himself off leaning Kaito's body from his own for a moment to see exactly how bad it was and it was simply as Yoshito's previous thoughts were, looking now it was confirmed, the kunai's tip only entered Kaito's side of his stomach no way causing permanent or fatal damage. Yoshito let out a sigh of relief at this revelation he had made.

It all happened a lot faster than he'd expected, Yoshito had managed to dodge his tile shuriken jutsu, not to mention the mud currently blinding Kaito. It didn't burn so much, as one might expect, since it was mostly rainwater and Kaito was use to such things on his face and at times even in his eyes. Still, the temporary blindness had left the medical-nin vulnerable, a state no medical ninja was ever suppose to fall victim too.

For a split second as the kunai entered the side of his stomach, Kaito wished his mother wasn't dead for a different reason than he should have. Wherever his mother was, Kaito just hoped she hadn't seen what a disgrace he was making of himself right now. How could he have been so stupid? If he managed to get himself killed being this stupid out in the field, Kaito just knew his grandmother would never let him live it down in the afterlife.

Other than the rush of fear upon realizing he was bleeding, Kaito wasn't really all that bothered by the pain. Working with scalpels as much as he did, he'd cut himself with tools sharper than most kunai. What really bothered him was the bleeding, he knew what this would mean. If he didn't finish this fight quickly somehow, he was gonna need to heal himself or seek medical attention. The alternative wasn't exactly something Kaito was looking forward too.

Kaito could feel how the tension between Yoshito and himself has changed, he could feel the other boy's hand on his shoulder and hear the concern in his words. Kaito was fine, for now at least, so he didn't understand the sense of fear laden in Yoshito's tone. Part of him wanted to take advantage of this lapse of judgment on the side of his opponent, but he also wanted to make sure Yoshito knew that he was okay. After all, fighting dirty wasn't really the way to earn yourself friends.

"I'm fine Yoshito, relax." Kaito offered in the hopes it'd treasure the younger genin. "Look, injuries happen, and remember what I said earlier? I'm a medical ninja, this isn't a big deal for me." Kaito said, attempting to make light of it as he moved closer to Yoshito so he could see he was fine. Other than the blood, the wound itself wasn't all that deep.

Kaito could tell the younger genin still felt a little bad about it, and a horrible thought came to Kaito's mind in order to snap Yoshito out of his thoughts. Horrible in the most wonderful way. Leaning forward, Katio took advantage of his extra few inches of height over Yoshito, and planted a rainwater soaked kiss on the younger genin.

As his own rational returned to start screaming at him, Kaito found himself awash with embarrassment at being so forward with Yoshito. It only took him a moment to realize his mistake and take action to attempt and regain some of his ego in the process. Quickly raising his hands near their locked lips to mimic a trumpet, Kaito unleashed a spew of water that jettisoned out from his mouth with power equivalent to an industrial fire hose, more than likely catching Yoshito off guard and throwing him backwards.

Kaito knew Yoshito would only suffer light bruises if he'd managed to hit him, but he pushed that thought out of his mind as his cheeks flushed red with embarrassment. Kaito moved to jump up into one of the nearby trees, opening his mouth to release a thick mist into the air. He didn't want to run and hide anymore, but he needed to take a second to regain his control over himself and the situation.

Just as the mist was beginning to take shape around them, Kaito took his last few moments of being able to see clearly to throw two Sumbon at the ground near where Kaito was, hoping it'd make the younger genin think twice about following him into the mist. Kaito was so ashamed, how could he have been so stupid?

His head hung low, his eyes looked at the ground. Kaito's feet were obscuring his sight of the muddy earth beneath the two but it wasn't anything to be pissed about. It's not like he had a deep admiration for the ground or anything, no he was looking down for he had just injured his fellow genin in a training match. Emotions filled the young genin as he clutched his training partner's shoulder in disbelief. Even though the wound may not be deep or fatal he couldn't help but feel horrible for the action of stabbing his newfound friend. Yoshito is too sensitive, maybe he wasn't cut out for the shinobi life, even though he was born with the power of the Yuki clan he may not have the mental strength it takes to be a warrior for a village he wasn't even born in. Yoshi's sadness turned to rage quickly, his grip grew tighter on Kaito's shoulder he was only pissed at himself. He knows the blow was not serious in any sense but it was the fact that he had hurt one of his own.

His teeth gritted and maybe Kaito could feel it but it was then that he assured Yoshito that he was fine, reminding the young Yuki clan member that he was a medical ninja most likely hoping to console the younger genin at the moment. That did help a little bit but also didn't, Yoshi hurts the guy and then he has to patch himself up? What kind of kid is Yoshito becoming joining the ranks of Kirigakure?

It was then that the fateful moment turned everything around. Yoshi's rage turned to confusion as Kaito pulled him closer after Yoshi put some space between them to assess the wound. Suddenly, in the midst of the rain and confusion and pain he was causing himself mentally from causing pain to his friend he could feel it. A set of lips had met Yoshi's lips, his eyes were still closed as he was lost in thought at the actions he performed moments ago but now his eyes widened so full of emotions he couldn't describe it. He just caused this man pain, maybe not excruciating but enough to where it was felt, and here he is kissing Yoshito. First of all who the hell does he think he is kissing a boy like that without even so much as offering a meal let alone pay for one. Second. . . why? Was this man that forgiving? Did he look at Yoshito as someone he admired physically? Did the battle between the two confuse and arouse the man to the point of physically showing his affection in such a crude way?

In the mix of everything going on Yoshito was stunned, he couldn't pull away nor could he move his lips to even awkwardly return the favor and just like that he saw his opponent's fingers encase his mouth and a jet of water shot outward into Yoshito's face. Yoshi fell backward flipping one time before landing on his feet and clasping his hands together as he had done before when first encountering Kaito physically. Yoshito thrust his hand forward at Kaito in a fit of rage letting out a loud roar that rang out across the land they were training in. Kaito was mid-air when Yoshi unleashed a powerful gust of wind at him, more than likely the man wouldn't have the know how to dodge his attack or if he had Kaito hadn't shown it thus far. There was a tree behind Kaito and so if the Gale Palm connects, the man would most assuredly be plummeting directly into the tree back first at the very least knocking the wind out of his lungs.

"What the hell's wrong with you?! What did you go and do something like that for?!" Yoshito audibly voiced his concerns to his training partner over what he had done. Yoshi put the blood-soaked kunai back into the pouch that rests along the side of his right thigh and used that same right hand to wipe off his mouth where Kaito had planted an unwelcome kiss.

11Ten Percent Luck - Private Empty Re: Ten Percent Luck - Private on Thu Oct 18, 2018 2:11 am

Kaito bit his lip as Yoshito reacted the way he did, it wasn't like Kaito didn't expect this sort of response, no one ever liked a degenerate anyways. He'd grown up with it his entire life, and despite how much Kaito had loved his grandmother, and how much she had loved him, Kaito had always known she'd never expected him for who he was. All throughout the his time at the academy, the few times someone managed to figure it out, Kaito had been bullied or brushed off because of it. Other than his mother, and the one girl he worked with at the hospital, no one had ever accepted him for who, and what, he was. Why should Yoshito be any different?

Even still, Kaito hadn't expected the genin to react with an attack in response to the kiss. He should have expected it honestly, not to mention how Kaito himself had feigned an attack towards Yoshito just after kissing him. It was another of those wind blasts that Yoshito had called the Gale Palm Jutsu. Unfortunately for Kaito, Yoshito had managed to launch his counter attack just as Kaito was jumping and couldn't use the ground to move out of the way.

The full force of the Gale Palm hit him, and it hit him hard. With nothing but his kunai to defend him, Kaito was left helpless against the Wind Release Jutsu, and he let out a faint yet pained scream as his clothing was shredded and his skin split apart in tiny cuts all across the front of his body. The only thing that ran through Kaito's mind as his body hit a tree branch, a rib or two cracking in the process, was how much he would never be selected for field service with such a poor showing on his part. Not to mention what might happen if Yoshito reported him for his behavior.

By the time Kaito managed to come too from the impact of hitting the ground, he noticed that beyond the many cuts and shear amount of blood lose he was suffering, one of his shoulders was also dislocated, which meant he'd have to find the strength to put it back into place before he'd be able to do much to heal himself with his medical ninjutsu. Attempting to sit up was the wrong idea, as Kaito felt all the cuts across his stomach, thighs, and torso begin to scream at him even louder do to the movement. Still, Kaito managed to prop himself against a tree in an upright position so he could at least speak to Yoshito.

"I'm sorry, it was meant to surprise you, I was hoping I'd be able to catch you off guard and confuse you long enough for me to retreat while counter attacking. I didn't mean anything by it." Kaito lied through his teeth. The counter attack had been meant to explain away what he'd done, it hadn't been the reason for the behavior to begin with.

Even with the shear amount of pain running threw Kaito's body, he still managed to lean forward with a grunt before pressing his hand against the dislocated shoulder, before slamming himself backwards against the tree with a muffled scream. It hadn't worked, he'd have to do it again, harder this time. Leaning forward again, Kaito paused, hand still pressed against his shoulder as he looked up to Yoshito, his vision beginning to blur. He had to hurry.

"I conceit the sparring session, I'm in no shape to continue on, and to be honest, I'm ashamed of the tactic I just pulled. I had hoped we could be friends, I apologize if I have offended you." With that done, Kaito slammed his shoulder back into the tree again, attempting to muffle his scream yet again, only to be flooded with even more pain as his shoulder reluctantly slipped back into socket. Good, the hard part was over.

Kaito took a few moments to move his arm around, testing his ability to form hand seals before attempting to utilize his medical ninjutsu. Once he was sure he could use his hand without too much difficulty, he began the long process of closing some of the more serious wounds he'd taken. Nothing was too deep, but the amount of blood loss he was sustaining was the real issue. If he didn't at least close to wounds on the surface level, he'd bleed out quicker than a stuck hog at county fair, anything more serious he could always just get treated for at the hospital.

Looking over at Yoshito, hoping the amount of blood would cover up his beat red face, or that perhaps the genin would just assume he was flush from the fight, Kaito noticed the slightest amount of blood on the young shinobi's left cheek. Forcing his body to stand was difficult to say the least, and Kaito let out a number of short gasps as he held the arm with the injured shoulder to his stomach in an unconscious and nevertheless vain attempt to alleviate some of the pain.

"So I did manage to at least land a hit, for a while there I didn't think I had." Kaito offered his fellow genin with a forced smile. Reaching out to Yoshito's face with his uninjured arm, Kaito activated a simple healing jutsu to regenerate the slight blemish on the otherwise adorable face. It only took a second or two, but Kaito couldn't help but let his fingers linger for a split second more before moving to wipe the small amount of blood off Yoshito's face.

"I'm gonna head over to the hospital now, since you won our fight, I guess I owe you lunch. Meet me at Kabuto's Seafood Grill around noon, they have the best shark steaks in the village. My treat." Kaito offered as a truce in the hopes Yoshito might give him the chance at becoming friends after what he'd pulled with that kiss earlier. It was a faint hope, as Kaito prepared himself for complete rejection, but the hope was there nonetheless. It was most likely just in his head, the preemptive fear of rejection, but Kaito just couldn't allow himself to let his hopes grow to big. It only made it hurt more.

Yoshito watched Kaito drop from mid-air after being hit with his Gale Palm and was thrown into a nearby tree that was right behind him. He stood there for a minute wiping the foreign slime off of his mouth from the unwelcome embrace of his training partner as his brow furrowed while what had just transpired flashed through his mind and how he reacted. He maybe shouldn't have reacted like that but he is just a young child, after all, he wouldn't know how to deal with that kind of thing yet. The rain falling from above filled up the crevices of his hand when he wiped off his mouth before flinging it around in the air as if he got some substance on it and getting whatever it was off of his hand. After doing that motion he looked upon Kaito who had previously been hit with the air jutsu originating from his palm. He had clearly been hit and it did not feel good.

He watched as Kaito began to wince and squirm in pain, the Gale Palm had given him cuts and even cut some of his clothing. He didn't know he would hurt the man so hard, he walked closer with eyes attached to the man's wounds. As he began to walk to this man who had just been hit by the Gale Palm Yoshito heard his words, explaining his actions and he couldn't understand nor accept that explanation that he offered. Yoshito shook his head, his legs striding his body forward to Kaito's location he noticed that his cheeks were red most likely from embarrassment further confirming his suspicions that what Kaito had spout earlier was a lie only to cover up his true intentions but Yoshito couldn't worry about that now. Yoshi's lips parted as if he was about to speak but at that moment he was cut off by Kaito taking his own shoulder and slamming it into the tree. The motion stopped Yoshito in his tracks, he must have dislocated Kaito's shoulder and he was attempting to physically put it back in without the help of anyone, maybe he couldn't ask Yoshito to help due to embarrassment.

"W-wait! Stop!" Yoshito rushed forward trying to stop Kaito from slamming his shoulder back into place but he was too slow or Kaito was too far for his speed to carry him there quick enough. Kaito spoke about him being ashamed of his tactics and that he'd concede to Yoshito before throwing his shoulder back into the tree, Yoshito heard a click and apparently with that second slam it would seem his shoulder finally got thrown back into place. Damn, this guy... Yoshito thought as he looked upon Kaito with admiration, he could handle all this pain and even apologize after taking a beating, he had some resilience about him that Yoshito admired. Yoshito then began to think if the battle had gone the other way and wondered if he would have done the same thing, obviously not with the medical jutsu but would he have been willing to apologize as well as allowing his opponent to fix his wounds? Yoshito probably would have lashed out in a fit of anger and jealousy of his winning opponent. How strange this Kaito must be to be able to be so morally high.

Yoshito let out a sigh as his hand met the tree that Kaito was leaning upon, Yoshito's but landed next to Kaito as he looked at his training partner listening to him proud of himself for landing a hit, Yoshito hadn't noticed due to everything that had just happened but his cheek was in fact bleeding most likely from the Tile Shuriken Jutsu that Kaito had thrown at him when he went into a slide. He let out a chuckle as Kaito met his laugh with a smile at Yoshito. He watched as Kaito's hands became encased in a sort of chakra, he was hesitant at first, he didn't want to be blindsided again by another sneaky tactic. But Yoshito allowed Kaito's hand to touch his cheek to heal the slight cut he received from the shuriken jutsu and then wiped the blood from the young man's face.

"You know, it's fine if you're gay... it's not a problem. You just caught me off guard and I've... I've never even gotten the chance to kiss a girl yet. I don't know exactly what I am yet but I know I'd like to get the chance to not be thrust into any decision without knowing how I feel from both sides.

Yoshito's little speech came at a time before Kaito offered a meal to apologize for what he had done so abruptly before. Yoshito couldn't exactly refuse after what he had just said, he did look away, however, to think on it before shooting his body upward with his legs extending and his arms flailing forward and backward due to the force of standing up so quickly. He lent his right hand to Kaito as he took it, and he helped him up with a smile. "I'd love to Kaito, I'm starving after that battle." The words slipped through his lips with a smile, "Pick the time and place and I'll meet you there." Yoshito's head cocked slightly continuing his smile at Kaito, after his hand parted with Kaito he gave him a fist bump and began on his way out of the training area he was in.

What a strange guy...
