1Round Two: Kenta Rhys vs. Ouroboros Hebiyachi Empty Round Two: Kenta Rhys vs. Ouroboros Hebiyachi on Tue Nov 20, 2018 8:45 pm

Round Two: Kenta Rhys vs. Ouroboros Hebiyachi 3eljTfm

Entering at opposite ends, this otherwise bland arena is a circular coliseum with a spiral pattern depicted on the floor. When the match begins, exits are sealed and the arena's mechanisms begin to churn. Beginning as a 50m radius, the spiral patterns serve as guidelines for walls which close in from all directions, reducing the arena's effective radius by 10m each posting round, with the final 10m being reduced to a 2m radius within which the combatants will eventually find themselves fighting. Contestants enter the arena at opposite sides of the circle.

1 - Rhys
2 - Hebiyachi

The first round had gone poorly. Rhys could still feel the soreness on his jaw from where the bug man (who's name he couldn't quite remember) had punched him while flying through the air, knocking Rhys out. This however was a new round, a new fight, and a new chance to prove to the world that Rhys and Reorx were far from done. The pair were once again fully suited in their respective sets of golden armor as they stepped through the open gate of this new arena. The open field and metal cage surrounding this field of battle helped reassure Rhys. There would be no hiding in such an open area, or so he hoped. The announcer had already declared that the match had begun, but Rhys was actively blocking out the sounds of the onlookers. There was no room for mistakes this time.

Rhys and Reorx stepped out onto the strange spiral design that sprawled across the floor and Rhys immediately stooped down to channel his chakra into the bottom section of Reorx's armor, his substitution jutsu had saved him from an embarrassing end in the last fight and he hoped it would work yet again. Just as Rhys finished jutsu a strange mechanical sound began emanating from the walls of the arena. Not wanting to find out exactly what the noise meant, the pair rushed forward 25m until they were about halfway to the center of the arena. There the pair stopped so Rhys could catch his breathe for a moment. Looking around Rhys saw that the walls of the enclosed arena had slowly begun to close in. This was perfect, it would force the enemy shinobi into close combat if he could just buy some time. Rhys kneeled once more as he took the lid off of the massive metal tube on his back. At his beckoning, Mag-Sand came flying out of the tube and collected in has hand forming the 2m chain and weighted ball of the Meteor Hammer that Rhys preferred to fight with. After being given a quick signal, Reorx began channeling his own chakra into the metal cap that adorned his horn which slowly started to change it's shape. Their preparations complete, the pair looked on to see what their opponent had in store for them.

Name: Substitution Technique (変わり身の術 ~ Kawarimi no Jutsu)
Canon/Custom: Canon.
Rank: E.
Type: Supplementary.
Element: None.
Range: One prepared item in the user's clear line of sight.
Speciality: Ninjutsu.
Duration: 1 post preparation. Infinite postponement, Instant activation.
Cooldown: 6 posts after activation.
Description: The Substitution Technique is an age-old skill which enables the user to evade the effects of an attack by switching with an item in the area. (The item---or substantial clone---used for a Substitute must be as large as the user's torso, and must be prepared at least 1 post in advance by infusing it with 5 chakra.) Activating this jutsu for another 5 chakra, the ninja moves at untraceable speed for just a moment, and the item does so as well to take the user's place; the ninja leaves behind a flickering after-image for a second, which, if damaged, releases the chakra which holds it in place in a small smoke cloud, revealing the nature of the technique and the item they have switched with. Higher-rank ninjas' afterimages are able to show some of the signs of natural impact as if it were an actual human, if only for a very short period, before 'poofing'. The user coming out of the technique creates a similar audio and visual cue with a small cloud of translucent smoke and a 'poofing' sound on appearance in the location of the item they Substituted with. This technique causes the user to move at speeds untraceable to human perception, and therefore even the user cannot coordinate attacks during the Kawarimi, or activate any other jutsu. They, however, can maneuver near someone and then attack them after the fast-movement is finished.

Name: Basic Suru Sand Armory
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: C
Type: KKG
Element: Jiton
Range: 6m radius
Specialty: Ninjutsu KKG
Duration: Contact
Cooldown: 2 posts
Description: This is the basic form of the Kenta family variation of their magnet release bloodline. Rhys uses available mag-sand within a 6m radius to create weapons and armor constructs. It can create any weapon that Rhys has a sub-spec for or that doesn't require Bukijutsu.

These items are held in place by his naturally magnetic chakra as long as he is in contact with them. The use of the weapons are still reliant on Bukijutsu specialization (Except for given weapon exemptions). This jutsu can create any weapon but knowledge of it's use is not given. These constructs are considered C-rank, but as they are of non-solid matter they are not as durable as their standard counterpart. They may be broken by Jutsu of one rank lower than normal [This is requiring two techniques of one rank lower than the item].

One handed weapons take 1m-cubed of Mag-sand.

Two hand weapons take 2m-cubed of Mag-sand.

Individual pieces of armor cost 1m-cubed each to a total of 6m-cubed. This armor counts as it is less durable than a solid and is lightweight because it is held in place by magnetization. Up to 3m-cubed worth of items may be created per use.

*Note* If the Mag-sand used is from the "Mag-sand Creation" Jutsu and loses it's magnetic properties, the entire construct is broken down and must be reformed.

Name: Growing Golden Horn (Combat Pet)
Origin: Custom
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Element: Doton
Range: Self
Specialty: Chakra Flow
Duration: Maintainable
Cooldown: Duration+2 posts
Activation: Reorx spends one whole post channeling his chakra into the golden horn cap that is used as a catalyst.
Description: For the cost of 10(+5 per post maintained) chakra Reorx may spend one round channeling his doton chakra flow into his horn cap to reshape it. On the following round the horn has been elongated by 2 inches and serrated allowing Reorx's attacks with it to inflict up to 1 1/2 inch cuts when they connect. The cap is still considered to be armor and may be broken as normal. If the cap is broken or breaks during this jutsu it loses all effect and falls off completely.

Hebiyachi does not seem to show up for the match. After a few moments pass, the proctor informs Rhys that due to previously sustained injuries, the genin from Kiri will not be able to attend. Unless the mods sub in someone else, Hebiyachi has forfeited the match.

Hey Rhys, I'm sorry I won't be fighting you. I really did want to, but things have gotten really bsy at work and home so I wont be continuing. Sorry, and best of luck in the future fights!

"I can live neither with you, nor without you."

Rhys waited... and waited. No enemy seemed to be forthcoming. Just as he was becoming irritated at his opponent's tardiness, he realized the announcer was once more speaking. "Hebiyachi Ouroboros forfeits, the winner is Rhys Kenta!". Rhys stood there for a moment, mouth agape. He could not believe that it was over before it truly began. The bulky man pet his rhinoceros behind his ear while giving a wave to the crowd. Rhys then withdrew from the arena. He had no idea why his opponent had given up the fight, but he knew from personal experience that things do happen at the worst possible time. Rhys had respect for one who knew when they had had enough, a trait he unfortunately did not posses. Rhys left with understanding if just a little disappointment. "Best not to look a gift rhino in the mouth.". The pair exited to await the next match.
