Michibo

Michibo had taken a day after the hospital to heal and rest. Medical ninjutsu had taken care of his injuries for the most part with hardly a mark but his body was tired from blood loss and battle. After all he had pushed his body on that one against opponents bigger and faster than him. He had slept almost the entire next day but when he woke up the very morning as today he had risen rested and energetic. Eager for the offer he had heard. That the monster had presented him. Truthfully she was only reason he was alive but he could still feel it on his skin. That sense that she may end him for fun. The sense that he had no power to stop her. His eyes would shift down to his right hand as he noticed it was trembling. He was so eager to see her again his body was shaking in anticipation. He wanted to sail his new ship here buuut he didn't have anyone to even help him remove it from its dock safely. Yet alone the know how to navigate it to the island. Did the island even have a harbor? Anywhere to dock would be nice.

His hand finally stopped trembling as he gripped it into a fist. For now he needed patience. He was almost there. Today he was wearing scuffed black boots with faded black jeans. A weapons pouch on each thigh and a line of kunais on his belt which at the front had the kirigakure headband plate on it. Aside from that he was wearing a black t shirt that clung to his tall frame with a black jean jacket on over it. A necklace was hanging around his neck with a silver cross on it. His grey hair was as wild as ever but today it seemed bright out despite the ever increasing mist. Over his eyes was a pair of gold framed purple tint aviators. He had taken them off this one guy a year ago in a street fight. Which he had won in a land slide. Guy didn't know how to fight for squat but he had cool glasses. Now Michibo was wearing them. Behind the glass his eyes appeared to be nearly closed as he sucked on a green sucker. Rolling it along his tongue as he enjoyed the sweet taste. A vest pocket held more obviously.

He walked passed the slightly burnt holy archway and across the stone bridge without much of a second thought. He didn't care for people and their religions anyway. All it was ever for was to prosecute things that scared them. Usually whatever scared them was game to him anyway. It made sense though. She had terrified everyone. Seasoned killers had screamed and ran from her. He would get that kind of respect and attention when he stepped up eventually too. For now his hands shifted into his coat pockets as he would stop in his tracks. Just up the path was a rather large spider. Bigger than your average dog. Certainly big enough to take down an adult if it wanted. It seemed to have been studying him as he approached and now stood still down the road from him. All its beady eyes watching him. It almost looked like it was thinking. There wasn't the monstrous aura from it that he had felt from the girl but it was still a threat to him. Michibo would click his tongue as he tilted his own head.

"Yo, this island ain't kiddin with its name. You look like your preferred meal is a cow. Thing is I don't produce milk or say Moo often. So if you been thinkin bout tryin your luck, give it a shot. I bet I end up eating you instead."

Whatever the watching spider's story would be, would occur far beyond the reach of Haka's ears yet well within her area of influence. It's story would be the Kaguya's to tell, but the presence of another human on the island would not take long for the Osada to reach. Sitting within the manor's ballroom on its stone throne, the arachnid would rise to her bare feet and make her way to where he stood. Not to welcome him but to observe him. As was often the case when Haka wasn't out and about, Lady Osada wore a simple long white dress. Along with her pallid, spindly body and her snow-white hair, she looked much like a wraith of her own, only the apathetic red eyes bringing some colour to the ghastly appearance.

As a phantom unheard, her feet would touch the cold marble and stone that made the manor's floor until she reached the front door. She opened it, stepped outside and allowed her supernatural gaze glide over the vast area that was spider island until she perceived the Kaguya's chakra. Fine-tuning her senses, she'd catch the minute details of his presence, chakra and actions. And with it, she'd observe his interaction with the spiders. Watch how he'd explore the island and eventually reach closer as he familiarised himself with the nightmares of the island. A first taste, and therefore a first test.

Michibo would watch the mystery spider scamper off and tilt his head looking around him. He could understand how most people wouldn't come here. All the tree's looked dead and cobwebs hung from almost all of them. Large shapes shifted here and there and if he focused he could see spiders on most of the tree's. His skin practically crawled just from standing in the center of it all on a poorly laid road with a lot of branches hanging over him. It would be so easy to be ambushed here by a horde of arachnids. Once one entered there might not be any escape. This was easily its own cage. While he didn't like being caged like an animal he couldn't deny the thrill of the challenge. Him versus an entire island of enemies. Chances were he would die here. He loved it. For just a moment his eyes would shift from grey to pink before he smiled and with his hands in his pockets he would set forward. No hesitation or fear showing in his step though fear was constantly in the back of his mind. This place was beyond the normal humans capabilities. Monsters lived here and he loved fearing that. Something beyond him was just something to strive for.

His boots would carry him for a time as he bravely pressed on through the horrors of the road only to find himself facing an opening between the fog and the tree's. A glade of sorts and though he couldn't see far there was a black gate further up the road. It seemed ominous as if it was his last chance to turn back. Instead Michibo would take a breath and head straight for it. At this point alarm bells were going off in his head. He could still run. He could still make it to the bridge and not stop there. So many things wanted to kill him here, he could feel it. To feast on him. But there was something laying under that. A type of energy within all that darkness. Like raw power rested within this mist. Power beyond anything he had ever felt. Something he couldn't even touch. He could only place it with one word. Haka. She was here somewhere. He could feel her overwhelming strength pulsing through this mist even if he couldn't see her. She had offered him something and now he was here to collect.

He would approach the gate a moment before looking around. Was she already watching him? Was she nearby and keeping to herself? Either way he would press on until he found her. No matter what he came across he would press on. He refused to be weak. So he would take his hands out of his coat and grip a high point on the gate. It whined at him as he used his arm to launch himself over it best he could and landed on his toes with one hand into the moist grass on the other side. As if crossing that threshold had put him into a new world he now was sitting at the edge of a faded garden with stone statues of monsters and overgrown thorny plants everywhere. There was still a mist but now he could make out the shadow of a manor. Or rather a fortress by the looks of it. He had heard about this place growing up. The Osada manor. It was rumored to be haunted by the late Mizukage that had rebuilt Kiri. His grey eyes looked around himself as he slowly rose to his feet. He had trespassed now...would anything come?

He had moved where many would have halted. His insecurity was visible from his body language but though a hint of fear resided within him, the boy didn't allow it to rules his reason. No tail between his leg that forced to dash back to the beginning. With every step taken, his decision to step into the open maw of the monsters was a deliberate one. Spiders crawling around. Sealing off the road back. The gullet pushing him forward little by little until he'd reach the front garden of the manor. It was as equally dead as the rest of the forest but it hold a little more structure. A humane touch, some would say, were it not for the cold remembrance of mortality that clung around the cold grey stone of its roads, fountains and the gargoyle watchers. The entrance towards Sero's home. The home of a human who had forsaken the whole of his humanity, even his soul, to embrace death itself and wear its existence as a cloak against the world. But most of all, it was the quiet hint to visitors that humans could become the greatest demons.

At the end of the stairs, that same demon's daughter would await him. Apathetic red eyes following every of his steps even after her supernatural gaze was no longer needed. Her arms were folded and her stoic face betrayed none of her wishes, the girl merely waiting for him to reach the steps. When he did so, she'd consider this little first test sufficient and nod lightly in his direction in acknowledgement.

"You fought. You survived. And now you are here. Come, enter the manor."

Her voice would be calm and quiet, spoken a second before she turned around to open the double door that lead inside the stone bastion of the island. Inside the manor. The hallway shrouded by cobwebs seemed to swallow the girl first, and the boy if he decided to follow. Servants would take a peek at the new visitor, watching the duo vanish into the hallways which lead to the ballroom. Though not asked to do so, the Unmei were familiar with Sero's flow of visitors and would therefore start the preparation of some sober refreshments. All the while, Haka continued her path to the ballroom on bare feet, opening the door and stepping inside the royal looking room. Towards the throne and the scales that stood in the back. Her little substitute throne room where she did most of her thinking, or simply unsealed the grand piano she owned and filled the usually empty room with macabre tones.

"Welcome. I am Haka Osada, daughter to Sero Osada, the lord of the manor you stand in and the island you walked through.", she spoke once she was seated within the throne. Her physique was tiny and frail in comparison to the robust, majestic throne but her presence left little to doubt about the dark nobility she expressed as a child of Sero's demonic influence. The child-tyrant's word could possibly move the shadows if she so wished. "I invited you because I saw potential. Because my father has taken Kaguya into his fold before. Unbridled power, raw and in need of channelling. It needs direction and precision, but given that...", the corner of her mouth would curl up into a sinister smile. "... you could become an entity whose name makes your opponents quiver in terror."

As she allowed her words to sink in within the visitor before her, footsteps announced the arrival of a servant. A ceramic platter bore some food and a mug of water, the servant quietly offering it to him to quench his thirst and still his hunger if he had those. Then, as quietly as it had come, the servant stepped into the shadows and remained out of sight until called.

"But the power of the Spider School does not come cheap.", the arachnid queen continued as she watched her nails with sudden casual interest just for a moment. Then her apathy would shift to the Kaguya's presence again. "To partake in it, is to deliver your soul into the hands of the Dark Father. His will becomes your law, your loyalty to his cause unwavering lest you seek permanent destruction. But our power will be yours to hone and use. A choice not to be taken lightly, as the decision is a point of no return."

Leaving her seat, Haka rose from her position in such a manner it seemed like she briefly floated through the air, as light as mist her body would position itself in front of the throne, feet touching the ground. Her bare feet kissed the cold marble ground with every step, leaving no sound despite direct contact. Moving towards Michibo until she stood before him.

"The servants will prepare a room for you in this manor, as my father would have it. You are free to roam around in all sections but the third and fourth floor. Reflect upon the offer of power given to you, and your decision relating to it. Or... do you already have an answer ready for us?"

The second test revealed. She had seen him fight like a wild beast before. Were his thoughts just as wild, or was he hiding a keen mind sharpened with high intellect and cunning behind that bony facade? Would he be an alien mind favouring instinctive straight-forward decisions or was he akin to the cold, calculative nature of the Spider? Would he give her an answer right here, right now? Or would he ask questions first and make his decision later?

Michibo

Michibo would watch as he felt that feeling all over again wash over his skin. His hair standing up on end on his arms and the back of his neck. Michibo knew that sensation now. He knew she was near and he wanted to feel it envelope him. Like a quiet rage in the center of a storm that was going to kill him. He had to tread carefully here and it was brilliant. The fog would seem to peel away as if at her beck and call and reveal her to him. He would smile up to her even as she spoke to him of his journey. Of course he fought and survived. It was what he did. Still he supposed not many made it this far. The place made even him feel like his life was on the edge of a blade. Haka made him feel like she was holding said blade and he couldn't do anything about it. Even as she turned and opened the doors he would say nothing. Merely looking through the dark portal with pink filling his eyes. He lived for this shit. Walking into a place that likely he might not walk out of? Best way to spend a Friday.

The cobwebs made it seem like as he walked he was leaving behind the world he had known. Like each step left more of the human world behind and brought him closer to the monstrous center of this place. Soon though he stepped through the last of it and came across something he hadn't expected. The inside of the manor was actually rather grand in its towering ways. The ceiling was rather high up and here and there servants eyed them as they passed. Some of them casually walking along a wall to dust something here and there? How odd that shinobi would choose to be mere servants. However when he made eye contact with one and its red eyes looked back to him he understood. These were not merely shinobi. These were not even human though they took the form of man. Devils perhaps. All the more intriguing. He would follow through the first immediate door though across the grand hall to what appeared to be a throne room. Well now that was interesting. For monsters they certainly had a Gothic Victorian thing going for them. He wasn't much of one to dress all in black but he could appreciate the style.

So far he had not spoken because he had not been bid to do so. Instead he would watch as she progressed further ahead than he did and continued to speak. Her fathers fold and some other Kaguya. How he could be honed into something that made people shake in fear if he wanted it. He would pause near one of the painted windows and stop to reach out and touch it. The war depicted fire and death but the glass was so cold. The mist outside barely lighting it enough to give it real character. The dim room was lit mostly by the outside light for now. The shadows creeping in from everywhere. Still as she finished a platter would be brought in and set down for him. Eagerly he would approach it before looking over a subtle selection. He would let out a small hum of thought before picking the sweetest looking thing on the plate and sniffing it before plopping it in his mouth. So far he had shown more thought in the food than the speech but he was attentive all the same still. His pink eyes shifting back to her as once more she spoke.

He would pause enough to swallow as she rose from her seat and seemed to float towards him like a specter. Watching him with those eyes that left nothing to hide. However he wasn't much of one to hide to begin with. Instead he would seem to tilt his head in thought. The food forgotten and the water not really cared for at the moment. Instead he would grin as his hair tinted further pink and he leaned down to be eye level with her. He was risking life and limb now with this sense of being allowed to be so close to her. His breath almost able to caress her skin like a china doll or moonlight made flesh. He would sense the servants tense as if ready to rip him apart for his gall. Some human getting so close to her was cocky. But the words that came out of his mouth next were straight up the words of a man with balls of Iron.

"Aye, I thought about it. See the thing is, I don't know your father. I know you. If you want my soul for power you best be the one takin it love. Ain't ever been one for doubt. But I will tell you this. Final destruction? I wonder if I gain this power you have little spider, could you kill me then? How well do you think anyone would fare coming for my head when I achieve that level? My bet is there will be blood if I am to be tested."
