Yuki, Akuryō

"I'm afraid of living aimingly alone."
--Yuki, Akuryō"

Protect the Merchant:

Mission name: Protect the merchant
Mission rank: C
Objective: Protect the merchant until he delivers his wares to the market
Location: Konoha
Reward: 300
Mission description: Your task is simple: protect the merchant Huang until he can complete his delivery route.
Mission details: The mission will consist of seven stops in total, including escorting Huang home. Unbeknownst to you or the village government, Huang is a drug smuggler and each 'package' that he is dropping off is a 're-up' for his dealers. You will be attacked several times during the route by members of a rival cartel, and must fend them off. There will be 4 opponents total, each with D2 stats and a single D-rank kunai each. If you happen to discover that Huang is a dealer, and can verify the contents of his packages, then you must arrest him and escort him to jail. Haung will try to bribe you to keep himself from being taken to jail. If you accept the bribe, then Haung will walk free, but your elders will find out and the pay for your next C-rank mission or above will be halved. If you don't discover the dealing, then you will still suffer the reduction to your next mission, as an investigating team will discover his activities while you are on the mission and report them.

The village was loud, not to say it was loud due to the usual banter of the villagers people going to and from the markets buying various goods, no today the loudness coming from the village was that of rain falling from the heavens and touching the earth below with thousands of audible thuds as the water droplets seemingly lost shape and turned into murky puddles.

The sound drowning out the few villagers walking home under the dry cover of their umbrella's or the few who had misread the weather patterns and were now rushing home. Akuryo whoever found herself under the safety of a dango's shop as she held a half drunken cup of hot tea in her hand while staring at the rain with her mismatched colored eyes of black and purple, unlike most she enjoyed the rain as the pitter patter of the rain droplets cleared her thoughts and gave her some amount of clarity.

That's exactly what she needed, today would be her first mission, she had already attempted to do her first mission before but it had been unexpectedly canceled making this her first official one if all went well. The mission details describing that she and her teammate were to meet in the administration office for further details on the mission at exactly 2:35p.m, her eyes loomed over to look at the wall clock behind the counter that read 1:55 p.m, she still had time but because she had been late in arriving for what would be her first one she had already planned to arrive to this one early.

She lifted the tea towards her lips tilting it at an angle to let the lukewarm tea slide into the small crevice to parch her thirst, once she had drank the rest of the refreshment she would go into her pocket pulling out a small coin purse and proceeded to take out the ryo required to pay for the drink and dango's. She would take a moment to grab the end of the dango stick and pull against the stick while sliding the dango's off into her mouth as she began chewing the remains before placing the stick back onto the plate as she began to make her way out the door.

Once outside she began to feel the wet sensation of the raindrops hit the upper corner of her forehead as she bent her legs before leaping up towards the air towards a ledge of the building, once she had stepped onto the ledge she didn't wast time in continuing forward seemingly leaping off of it onto the rooftop as she began to sprint towards the administration building. Her unique route causing her clothes to somewhat soak as she continued but the rain only felt like a soothing lullaby to her making her feel at peace, her nerves for the mission weren't gone but she was confident she could perform up to task, if nothing else her isolation training gave her little distraction to worry about and she was able to excel at a better rate than most kids of her clan.

While lost in thought she had already reached the building, she leaped off the rooftops and back onto the ground floor in front of the door wasting no time in stepping inside, once in she moved towards the room that would be used for the mission briefing, unlike before she memorized the layout of the building and was able to find her room more quickly and attempted to open the door. What she found inside was a single man who's hair had been basically roughed chop as he sat cross legged and arms folded while his eyes were closed, it was clear from their vest jacket they were of at-least chunin rank and higher and their presence meet they would most likely explain the details.

Akuryo attempted to put her hand up to wave hello but before she could complete the action the man spoke up without opening his eyes to look her in the face, "Take a seat and remain silent until you're partner arrives." Akuryo put her hand down that had still been up understanding the man wasn't up for a chat, she took her empty seat and began to wait for her partner to arrive.

Sunadokei

Sunadokei

D-rank
Sunadokei hated rain. Well, hate was a strong word, she hated hungry; rain however, she did dislike with great intensity. And it was nothing short of a thunderstorm currently drenching the village of Konohagakure, leaving everyone either miserable, or warm and toasty indoors. Sunadokei Akimichi was currently both, though normally she'd be in better spirits. The buxom Akimichi woman sat at the counter of a large ramen shop, waiting out the last half hour or so before she needed to be at the Administration Building. She'd been caught out in the rain running errands, and was presently waiting for it to die down a bit before braving the weather. Except, it only seemed to get worse.

"Another bowl, same as the last ones." Sunadokei informed the cook as he passed by her way.

He looked at Sunadokei curiously, shaking his head. "Miss haven't you had enough?"

Sunadokei looked to her left, dozens of bowls heaped up in a growing pile from her hour long binge. "No. I'm full when I say I'm full." She grumbled, sliding more ryo out of her purse and slamming it on the counter. She looked up at the nearest clock, it was almost two in the afternoon. Only a half hour to go until she had to be at the Administration Building, though she'd need give herself time to travel. The chef brought forth another piping hot bowl of beef ramen, which Sunadokei greedily began devouring with reckless abandon. She could breath fire with her Fire Release jutsus, what basically amount to a hot bowl of soup was nothing to her throat. The clerk had barely put the change in the register when Sunadokei stacked the empty bowl on top of her fast growing pile. "Another." She said gruffly, dabbing her lip with a napkin.

Normally when Sunadokei was in a foul mood, food helped ease the tension. She was prone to stress eating, and the feeling of fullness brought her a kind of contentedness she thoroughly enjoyed. Except today it wasn't working, the weather was too foul, she had a mission to tend to soon, and worst of all she never finished her errands. So rather than be more mature about it and face her problems, Sunadokei just buried her woes in more fattening bowls of ramen. Two dozen became three, three became four, and four became a broken bar stool and being politely told to leave. With her curvaceous figure heavily bloated, and the sash at her waist heavily loosened to accommodate her now pregnant looking stomach, Sunadokei glanced to the clock as she waddled out of the shop. It was a quarter past two, and the rain hadn't slowed down at all. Full, bloated, embarrassed, and thoroughly irritated at how the day was playing out, Sunadokei trudged out into the torrential rain. Maybe it'd lighten up, maybe it wouldn't. Either way her day was ruined, at this point she just wanted to go home and sleep off her one woman feast.

Grumbling to herself, Sunadokei knew she'd be cutting the time close even if she ran to the Administration Building. Luckily, she didn't have to run. She had something much faster, she'd roll. Sunadokei stepped into the middle of the street, let out a loud burp, then quickly threw up the hand seals ox, ram, and the Akimichi special seal. "Human Bullet Tank Technique!" She yelled, her swollen hourglass figure instantly ballooning to absurd proportions. Sunadokei's body distended into a three meter wide sphere with limbs comically poking out the corners. She tucked her limbs into her clothing and began rolling at high speeds down the street. Taking up a full lane of traffic, the Sunadokei-boulder rumbled along at incredible speed in spite of its great size. There were view pedestrians on that rainy day, which was good otherwise she was liable to pancake anyone caught in her path.

Sunadokei made her way to the Administration building in record time, rolling up the Hokage's Plaza right up the double doors at the entrance way. Too lazy to bother shrinking back down, Sunadokei just pressed her rounded form into the door frames. She forced them open through brute force, squeezing her massive belly through after some considerable effort to the horror of onlookers fearing she'd take out the wall. With a loud pop she bounced through, coming to a stop in the center of the lobby like a huge purple art display. Sunadokei then began to spin rapidly in place, whisking away the rain that soaked her clothing until she was thoroughly spin dried. Only when that was finished did she finally revert back to normal with a poof of smoke and a release of her jutsu. Ringing the last of the water out of her silk scarf, Sunadokei made her way for the stairs to find the room number she'd been told to meet at.

It didn't take long to find, and Sunadokei, now slightly less bloated from having burned off a large amount of calories in her Human Bullet Tank pushed open the door and stepped inside. Her eyes wandered to the clock on the wall, it was three minutes to two thirty, so at least she wasn't late. A young woman sat opposite a Chūnin wearing an instructor's flak jacket, and Sunadokei took her place besides the girl. The girl had strange two tone hair, almost like yin and yang, but Sunadokei would save the small talk until after their briefing. "Sunadokei Akimichi reporting in, nice weather we're having." She introduced herself sarcastically, folding her arms crossed beneath her massive bust as she let out a huff. Hopefully this briefing dragged on for a while, the longer it took the longer she had to wait out the rain. Though, if it went quickly she'd be able to get to her mission quickly. Sooner the mission was done, sooner she'd get to go home.

Yuki, Akuryō

"I'm afraid of living aimingly alone."
--Yuki, Akuryō"

Akuryo twiddled her fingers around each other, the silence of the situation of the room being far to awkward for her to handle as she hoping to perhaps get to know a little more about the village and the way the shinobi operate by talking to a superior, a hope that was now all but dashed as the chunin informative in front of her hadn't said a word since she arrived and was giving off the impression he wasn't willing to converse. With the silence however the rain even from the confines of the room was audible as the rain seemed to have no clear indication of when it was stopping, the briefing room had little light other than a lantern lit by oil greased fire hanging above their heads that seemed to be swallowed up by the darkness of the rain as it casted a shadow of sorts over the room.

In her chair she swung her feet closer to her body as she fully sat on the chair staring out into the rain, her gaze affixed to the mass water droplets showering down whilst she thought about back home, it hadn't been the perfect home by far and honestly her time in the village although lonely had been rather peaceful but it did no justice in turning away the semblance of homesickness. With the sound of the turning of the knob Akuryo glanced over at the door to find a rather well endowed kunochi standing there, the women first action was staring at the clock that had just turned to two twenty seven making her eight minutes early, the fellow kunoichi introduced herself as Sunadokei Akimichi but it was clear that from the tone of her voice she was annoyed, she didn't know why but she wasn't willing to step on anyone's toes so all she did is glance back at her and tried to say her name with as much confidence as she could muster for a good first impression, "Y-Yuki, Akuryō"

Despite her attempt her voice came out soft spoken and the slight quiver of her voice gave away her nervous nature making her feel somewhat disappointed in herself as she laid her head on top of her arms as she seemingly brought her legs closer to her body as if hugging herself. The immediate sound following would be the chunin clearing his throat as if gathering the attention of the two, "Now that you both are here let's get down to business.." The Chuniin said while standing up to walk over to the board of the briefing room and grabbing a piece of white chalk, "This in essence is a escort mission," the chunin began to draw one figure riding a carriage and two figures beside it, he drew a slightly curved line from where the figures where to the other end of the board and drew an x at the end, "You are to start from point A with the client Merchant Huang, the road route he takes is littered with bandits and the likes so you're job is to protect him and his cargo until he reaches his home which is the X mark. Any questions?"

Akuryo raised her hand, "What type of cargo is he carrying that's so important for ninja escorts?" The man visibly looked annoyed at her question, "That's not for us to know, he payed for the administration to send aid which is you, your job is to simply deliver him to his destination, nothing more nothing less, understood?" Akuryo got the point, "Yes sir..." If their were more questions the chunin would most likely answered them in an even more annoyed tone, if not he would simply dismiss them and tell them their client is waiting for them near the village gates in exactly two more hours to give them time to prepare for their journey.

Sunadokei

Sunadokei

D-rank
Sunadokei looked at the slender girl seated next to her with a judgmental scowl on her face. Her voice was so meek, and she acted like she was about to break into tears or something. The Akimichi were hardy, stoic shinobi by nature. Her father always said they started out as caterpillars, they just needed to come out of their cocoon in time and spread their wings. Sunadokei's wings had long since spread, she was more than confident in who she was and who she desired to be. It irked her that her partner did not seemingly share her assertive disposition towards life. "Akuryō..." Sunadokei, her tone softening slightly as she tried to be polite. "I haven't heard of that clan before. You'll have to tell me more about it when we get the chance." Her attention quickly turned back to their proctor, nodding as he began to speak.

The buxom Akimichi woman listened patiently, she could have done without the diagram. Escort missions were simple enough, the worst was usually bandits looking for an easy score. Most gave shinobi a wide berth, and those stupid enough to try their luck didn't tend to last long. Sunadokei did seem annoyed though that they wouldn't be informed what exactly the merchant carried in cargo. Her words were more direct than Yuki's though as she voiced her concerns. "Hmph. If he's paying for our protection, he should at least disclose his cargo manifold to the administration. Could you imagine how bad it'd make the village look if we ended up helping a thief carry stolen goods, or a missing-nin smuggling out body parts for their kekkai genkai, or worse..." She was cut off by an icy cold stare from the Chūnin, to which Sunadokei held her tongue. "My apologies sir. I spot out of line, I'll keep my concerns to myself. We have a job, we do it, we get paid. Nothing more, nothing else."

Still, she was a shinobi, she craved information. The administration had entire teams dedicated to reconnaissance and information gathering. It always felt wrong going into something without knowing as much as possible. One thing she did know though, was that she sorely wanted an umbrella. When the Chūnin dismissed the two with their briefing, Sunadokei followed Yuki out the door and back out into the building's lobby. "Yuki was it?" She said, walking alongside the slender young woman. "I'm not sure where your home is, but the Akimichi castle isn't too far from here. If you want you can come home with me and stock up on supplies. We have plenty to spare, though I can tell you for sure I don't have any clothes in your size to borrow."

She paused, looking out the revolving doors that led outside. Sunadokei's lips contorted back into a harsh scowl. She raised her hand over her head as it began to expand and grow in size. "Partial Multi-Size Technique" She stated calmly, having formed the Akimichi special seal with her other hand. Sunadokei held her enlarged palm out flat overhead, using it like a large umbrella to keep most of the rain off of her. The downpour outside seemingly had not improved one bit, and thunderclaps could be heard in the distance. "We have two hours. You're more than welcome to come home with me and get some lunch if you want. If not... I'll see you at the village gates in two hours." Generosity ran deep in her clan's bloodline, it stood in stark contrast to their voracious gluttony. The Akimichi were if nothing else gregarious after all.
