Thick clouds had formed overhead, casting a dark, pastel monotone over the Land of Lightning. Shadows were muted, light was dull, and thunder roared in the distance. Flashes of lightning that cast bright streaks across the dreary sky were beacons for a brewing storm that moved ever closer to the Hidden Cloud.

Anger festered like an infected wound, spread like rampant cancer, guided each hysterical burst of volatile pyrotechnics jettisoned from his shoulder blades. The forests and valleys and hills were left burnt and scarred by his frenetic warpath. Nothing that stood in his way did so for long, reduced to a trail of simmering embers, leaving even mountains behind him alight and burning.

With one last bound that sent his form bounding to the front gates of the Hidden Cloud Village, the home of the Coward, he landed with calamitous vehemence. The earth buckled beneath him, cracked and fractured under the force of his landing. His eyes burned with warm autumn hues, orange and red flickering behind his pupil as if there were flames dancing within his anger-fueled gaze. Before him stood a gate, its large wooden doors open and Hidden Cloud Guardsmen standing watch, visibly concerned by his violent approach, but they did not stay that way for long.

"Stop running," His voice escaped as a hoarse, guttural growl amidst smoke that billowed out from the corners of his mouth. He had forgone reason and forsaken doubt, gave himself wholly to his anger and let his burning rage fuel his actions. They wore their foreign garb proudly, toted the regalia of a cowardly leader, and their mere presence had filled him with such unbridled disgust that could not be overlooked so easily.

Voices chanted in his head, all saying something different but all themed appropriately, feeding into his anger. He inhaled, dragging in some of the smoke that attempted to escape, and built a terrible storm within his gullet and stomach. It was held for only enough time for their eyes to widen in realization and the first hints of twitching muscle to be seen under the watchful gaze of his Eyes of Cinder, but it was far too late. He exhaled and with his breath came fire, a monstrous typhoon of rage and flame that reduced it all to ash, man and structure alike.

Gradually, the chorus within his mind stopped chanting against one another. Instead, they chanted together. Three words, one demand, and his own mind's voice chanted with them. When the worst of his fiery storm had faded and all that was left were embers and ashes, he caught his breath, his left eye twitched without his control, and his gaze settled on the village sat atop the mountains. He attacked her, hurt her, scarred her, for his actions despite her innocence, then Daremo ran, tail tucked like a coward, when retribution did come.

B U R N I T A L L

"COWARD! COME OUT AND FIGHT ME!" His scream was powerful, it bounced off the hills and cliffs and carried off far into the sky, booming louder than the growing roars of approaching thunder.

He'd burn it all if he had to. Every bastard of the Clouds; men, women, children, it didn't matter. Takao would pull him out root and stem, for him to fight, break him in front of his people, make himself the elephant in every room that Daremo entered, and leave with the hatred of Kumogakure. He would kill them all to get to him if Daremo made it necessary to do so, but one thing was certain to him no matter what.

On this warpath, he would have his revenge.

Tomohiro

Tomohiro

B-rank
Tomohiro had just finished a cup of hot tea. It was splendid. Its warm smooth vapors cleared his rejuvenated his dry throat. He took a slow breath as the server poured him another him another cup. Each sip barely heated his lips as he was adjusted to the heat. It wasn’t often that he would relax a bit before heading to train, but today was an exception. He was for the most part alone in his training. There wasn’t much reason to train with the clan and he to try to learn some new techniques on his own. The day would just go on as usual. Today was nothing spectacular. Assam was snug at home and getting some rest from yesterday’s training session. The time he had to himself was precious and he didn’t really care for it being spoiled. His tiger cub was a handful. Though not once, did he ever consider giving up the opportunity to raise him. The tiger was one of the closests things he held dear to his heart. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do to protect and keep the ninneko alive.

The sky was grey, but it wasn’t just from the clouds. Tomohiro instantly recognized smoke the smell of smoke. He wondered what could have caused it. They were really high up for smoke to affect the village or so he thought. The sight started to concern him. It wasn’t like he could do much to stop it. He was no suiton expert. The only thing he could think of was him actually making it worse than it already was. Then again, someone could have easily been in danger and needed his help. A light passing of air came from his lips. Saving those in need would be the right thing to do. Though, he wasn’t sure what he would find once he got there. The smoke had even started to bother his eyes. It seemed like it was coming from the direction of the village gate. It wouldn’t have hurt to investigate whatever it was. He was a shinobi afterall. There was nothing for him to be afraid of.

Tomo started to make his way toward the village gate as the smoke had irritated his eyes. It made him squint slightly. The closer he moved toward the gate, the thicker it seemed to get. The sight he saw was devastating. Beyond the outskirts of the gate had been a large wildfire that burned through the mountain ranges. The village gate stood a man. The man’s rage could be felt within his very being. Looking at the man’s eyes, he could see the anger. Rage dominated the figure’s aura. Tomohiro was uncertain what he should do at first. For a split second, he almost confused the man for one of his clansmen. The best way he could explain it were that the man’s eyes were different. There was a quick sigh of relief that his clan wasn’t responsible, but the sight brought fear into his heart. Something within him wanted him to flee, but someone had to protect the villagers. There was no time to look around and try to find someone of higher rank. It was fight or flight. This time he would choose to fight. Whatever was to happen, would happen, but he wasn’t going to run away.

The man inhaled. Tomohiro started performing hand seals as he simultaneously inhaled. It almost seemed automatic or self preservation. He hoped that someone else would come and help. The fate of the village was probably at stake and all of his more powerful clansmen and other shinobi seemed nowhere to be seen. There was no other way. Tomohiro’s flames were delayed. The village guard would get caught up in the crossfire and there was nothing he could do about it. Emerging from his maws would be a host of grey with a hint black mass of flames. Tomohiro realized as he released the flames that he was more than likely outclassed, but he couldn’t just stand by and do nothing. His shinobi way wouldn’t just allow him to bend over and take whatever was coming. Something had to stop the flames from entering further into the village. The move was desperate and risky. He may not even have made it in time. The most important part was that he tried. Tomohiro wasn’t sure if he was brave or if he was foolish for not running away.

[FLASHBACK]
The room was enshrouded with darkness, the light from outside muffled by thick, dense velvet curtains. A dining area normally rich with laughter, conversations discussing the future, and the sounds of metal ever so slightly touching porcelain, was all but silent. The flames that ate at the wicks of half spent candles set the mood for the act of heresy that was about to proceed.

"Normally, when a man buys out the restaurant for the day, I at least get a proper name." A chef well noted for his contributions to Kumogakure's food culture would emerge from the kitchen with two silver plates in hand. He held them with care as he walked to the table where a man in a dark, black cloak sat waiting to indulge in sacrilege. At his side dangling from his belt were a few headbands from a Kirigakure, some crossed through, others not. They'd belong to bounties that's  "I take it you, know the history of the ortolan, seeing as how you've come all this way. To taste of the forbidden fruit."

"Yes." The figure would speak imagining what he should say in this instance, he decided to retell the story, after all isn't that what a person would do. "The ortolan is a delicacy often captured in Kaze no Kuni in the spring as their flocks migrate through the area. For years they used to be captured there and raised in total darkness as they'd have their eyes removed. Chefs would place them in cages filled with fine fruits and berries. It is said that while submerged in this complete darkness they'd go mad glutting themselves until they'd at least double or tripled in size and eventually they would lose all mobility."

The chef would interrupt briefly, "Though maybe a bit embellished, yes, that is mostly true." He'd sit the two trays in front of Yasubei. "I have also prepared another tray for your friend." Ah, I've for gotten your towels. The chef would hold up a hand as the revelation struck him. "Please forgive me. I don't know how I could commit such an oversight."

Before the chef could turn to move away Yasubei would grab his wrist. "It is fine sit with me. This meal would be lost on the one behind me," Yasubei would motion to the cloaked man standing behind him. "I know traditionally the towels are worn out of fear and shame. After months of glutting themselves, the ortolans are sealed into a barrel of wine where they are drowned and simultaneously marinated." As he continued he would lift the cloche from his plate revealing a seared bird in its entirety on a finely garnished plate. "This act is so vile it is viewed as spitting in the face of a god. So, men and women who partake regardless of their faiths shield their faces with towels to hide from this god as they consumed the bird whole in a single, gluttonous bite."

The chef watched as Yasubei engulfed the bird whole, crunching down on the waves of sweet and savory flavors rolling through his mouth. "Do you not fear spitting in the face of God?"

"If god is an ugly mongrel, then I simply must. Especially when the act is as aesthetic as this one."
[END]

Yasubei sitting upon a spire when the Kumo-nin were escaping back to there village. They scrambled to their posts without the leadership or guidance of a kage as they prepared to defend against a siege from an unknown force. Yasubei watched as dozens of Ninja from countless ranks spread throughout the city evacuating women, men, and children alike as they sought to remove civilians and low-rank military personnel out of harms way. It was a familiar sight to Yasu.

Years ago this same ageless face watched the village hidden in the sand undergo the same trial. The same scramble occurred then before the hellfire and brimstone dissolved the village away until it was no more than ink in a history book. Countless persons died at the hands of Konoha ronin that day, and they all died such ugly deaths. Like wine pouring through the street's fear began to spread through the hearts of this countries people as a the chaos began to build to a climax.

Yasubei made his way closer to the gates he'd seen panicked shinobi and regular soldiers run in through. "The Hokage is still in pursuit! Why are we running?! Why didn't Lord Daremo stop him?"

Yasubei would hop down from the building he was on grabbing a lone regular soldier by the back of his shirt. "What, in less than 15 words, is going on? Also I request that you keep your voice lowered." With his left hand Yasubei would reach down into his kunai pouch.

"A... After Lord Raikage fled the fight with the Hokage, the man went into some kind of fit! I gotta get to the shelters!" Yasubei looked at the man disappointingly. He'd let the ugly creature go off on its way to cower in fear of the Hokage. He'd pull out hi scroll summoning forth the figure that stood behind him in the restaurant once more. He didn't know what it would accomplish, but he knew that it was better than nothing.

The smell of smoke was dense in the air before the conflict began, yet another reminder of that day. It was fanfare annoucing that Takao Kimura had arrived and wasn't playing games. He'd yell, obviously calling forth the raikage to come meet him. "COWARD! COME OUT AND FIGHT ME!" Yasu watched as the first to greet the Hokage at the gates as he arrived boiling in hatred, wasn't the raikage. It was a Kumo-nin, and one that Yasu didn't recognize from any bounty books. This was not to say that the ninja who arrived was weak, but simply that he was neither in Yasubei's weight class nor was he a prominent political figure. As the hokage weaved hand seals aimed at the village, the kumo-nin met him seal for seal. Yasu would whisper under his breath, "Quite aesthetic."

As the two jutsu with their searing heats clashed. The inconsequential Chunin would pick his side. He would, from atop a building 90° from Tomohiro, relative to Takao, throw handful of objects out of his kunai pouch, pulling an array of 10 shuriken, 15 senbon, 12 kunai, and 6 flash bombs. He'd alternate them shuriken, senbon, kunai, flashbomb in the hopes of getting the most out of his flash bombs. Though he threw them as quickly as he could, needless to say it would simply be a slow trickle of them would barrage the ninja for but a moment hopefully the ninja would be distracted by the trifle, as a single chakra thread attached to the the second kunai would initially make it fly of course missing Takao only to reroute itself with a sharp readjustment to attempt to cut the Kage's femoral artery on his left thigh.

If he survived to be asked why he interfered at a later time in the future, he'd probably call it a "lapse in judgement" or say he felt as if he were being "puppeteered by an outside force", but he'd be lying if he ever said that he didn't do it out of a strange sense of guilt. A concept that had never before plagued him. For now though he was simply too close to the fray, he'd have to find some way to run interference without being so dangerously close.

Kashizudoto

Kashizudoto

S-rank
Kashizudoto, cloaked as the ANBU Captain Kenshin, gave chase to the Hokage from afar along with his pet hawk Hawky, who wore a similar miniature ANBU-style garb himself. Kashizudoto, as the ANBU Captain Kenshin, could not keep up with the Hokage's speed, but he used the tracking skills he had learned in the Academy to follow his path so that he could come in and provide support if necessary. As an ANBU Captain, it was the job of Kashizudoto, or, more aptly, Kenshin, to make sure that the Hokage was safe, and although Kashizudoto had his doubts about whether he could fight a foe strong enough to pose a serious threat to the Hokage, he kept those aside as he pushed forward through the wilderness of the Land of Lightning towards the Village Hidden in the Clouds, with his avian pal flying alongside him. Buma's Manor was nearby, Kashizudoto deduced, and he hoped not to run into Lord Buma for both his sake and that of Lord Buma. Kashizudoto had cut ties long ago with Buma and the other Masters, and there was no looking back now.

He eventually reached the outskirts of Kumogakure, and he and his hawk jumped upon the branch of a tree as they watched the Hokage confront an unfamiliar-looking ninja at the village gates, with seal meeting seal and flame meeting flame as each ninja cast techniques that were essentially identical. The ninja that the Hokage was confronting did not look particularly adorned and was instead wearing the gear of a typical low-ranking shinobi; perhaps, Kashizudoto surmised, he was a lackey - maybe a genin or a chuunin - who thought he could challenge such a powerful invader all by himself, and Kashizudoto hoped, for this guy's sake, that he would get out of the way before he got burnt to a crisp.

What the Hokage was planning to do in this village, Kashizudoto did not know, but he looked angry, almost berserk, and even from all the way where he was standing, Kashizudoto felt almost nauseous, and he deduced that this was probably a result of the combination of the pressure of the Hokage's chakra with the pure killing intent that he exuded. One thing was for sure, and that was that Kashizudoto sure didn't want to be the one standing in the way of him right now.

Traveling Portion:

After a long operation of subduing the residents of the three forts within the Land of Frost. I was relaxing on the side against one of the thick trunks of the massive trees. Thoroughly roughed up by the few fights he had fought.
Just as I was getting into a decent position for sleep, someone from another camp came running over to the main group of Root operatives on the ground and making a massive racket. Rolling my head from it's relatively comfortable position, I slid off the tree bark and landed silently among the snow trodden land. Still dressed in my

"The dragon has taken off after the Raikage! They're heading towards the Land of Lightning as we speak!" They cried out. A murmur set out across the audience, but a silence filled my heart. For Root, almost everyone an alternate name of some sort, as a way to refer to people without exposing any important identities. It just so happened that the one they were talking about, was a very specific operative of Root. Takao, Kimura.

A numbing cold crackled across my skin. Soon after someone in the crowd asked the direction the took off. The courier looked at his hands for a moment, an intense look on his face as he calculated directions and geometry before directing his attentions towards the vague outlines of mountain far off in the distance. Immediately I knew what I had to do. Without a hint of hesitation in me I called out commandingly.

"Quick! I need someone to give me a boost, and another one to throw me to those mountains." Clicking my umbrella closed I flourished it in a horizontal twirl before designating the mountains. I waited a moment, then two, before I snapped towards everyone else. "What are you waiting for?! Now! Our leader needs our help. I'll go first to provide any assistance while everyone else prepares go mobilize. Hurry! They could be half way across the country at this point!" Hesitantly two people came out of the crowd, both hulking figures, one male, and one female. Silently the lady picked me up and set me on her shoulder as she bent down, preparing for to jump. The man on the other hand quick a dizzying amount of handseals. The air around the two of use started to gather and spiral around, quickly picking up speed. "Do your best!" The man called out as he slammed his fingers together and completed his jutsu.

The frosty air smashed both me and the lady into the sky. Sending us flying into the air. The wind dragged across our bodies and roared in our ears, as we defied gravity. The Root lady yelled as we streaked through the sky. "Alright! While I can't get you all the way there, I can give you a damn good head start, it's up to you to finish the rest of the journey!"

"Roger!"

"Good! Here we go!" She grabbed a breathful of air, almost swallowing it down, before unleashing a screeching road that pierced the whole atmosphere. Her palm expanded dozens of times over to wrap her entire hand around my body before spinning her entire body. Then, she threw me across the massive expanse of trees and snow. I kept my eyes closed and my mouth shut as I zoomed along the winds. As soon as I felt my body begin to dip with the pull of the Earth I activated my Mockery jutsu and started flying on my own. The joint effort of the three of them was a success, roughly three hundred, four hundred meters had been covered over the course of a few seconds. Though despite that, the mountains which housed the Kumogakure still looked a good few minutes away. Even while flying faster than a hawk.

Though that wasn't the concerning bit.

All across the land beneath me were various burns and scorch marks. Trees were half ash and half bark. The rocks were turning molten. Even all the snow was evaporated. The results of battle? One might think so.. but as I looked at the damage, it was way too concentrated. They all were in a single path, from which none of the fiery destruction deviated. A battle would be winding all over the scene. Jagged turns, gaps, lines of blazed scorch marks in random patterns. Baking the field in artistic carnage. But... "It's almost as if Takao was hunting someone down..." I didn't like that thought at all.

While I haven't been around long enough to experience what Takao was like when he was terrifying, but all I had to do was look around to see what he was capable of. A dark thought crossed my mind. What if Takao was being led towards the Kumogakure? Well, there were only two honest possibilities. One: the Raikage would muster up all the defenses of the village to focus fire Takao down, and maybe killing him. Two: Takao will burn the whole village down...

Tears cascaded down my face. Suddenly I wasn't so sure of myself as I was when I chased after him. What would I do? What should I do? Stilling my river of childish tears, a mediocum of control returning to me. "Well. The answers all lay in front of me, when I finally catch up to you, my Kage."

---

Thankfully to all the destruction that Takao left in his wake it was easy to track him down. A glowing trail of molten rock was easy to track against a grey background. Also, it was a great thing I learned how to fly. Trying to go on foot in this terrain would be a nightmare, glancing down at the local populations of cliffs and caverns I was glad I invested some time into my techniques. As I flew through the air, tracking down the trail of destruction, I circled around this mountain. What greeted me was an amazing sight to behold. Perhaps at least three hundred meters away, the visage of the Village Hidden in the Clouds looked absolutely regal across the grey backwash of mountains and the monotone color scheme this mountain graveyard seemed to hold.

As his eyes were allowed to focus on the image before him, I could tell. Takao had reached the Kumogakure. A pained roar tore through the air, the vibrations repeated by the voice of the mountains. Ripping for another hundred or so meters behind me before fading away. "Takao!" I exclaimed, I needed to get there and get him out fast. Channeling my umbrella with chakra I prepared for the incoming fight I was about to plunge myself into. Pulling out my scroll I quickly summoned my GASTER puppet around me. This was it. My first real battle. Let's hope I can return alive.

Activating the puppet's stealth feature, I connected puppet strings to it before flying off to the front gates of the hidden cloud village as fast as I could. The sight that greeted me was, disorienting to say the least. As I approached the destroyed gates, the air considerably heated up. The scene before me, it was chaos, and Takao.. well. I don't want to grace the wrath on his face with words.. Quietly. I sealed away my cloak and mask. As I floated in the air, ten meters off the ground, I noticed the gathering enemy Shinobi. Including one that looked, very familiar.. I didn't have time to dwell on it as Takao unleashed a gargantuan breathe of flame. Incinerating multiple enemies in front of him, likewise an almost identical jutsu was launched in opposition to Takao's assault. The flames clashed against each other, and very wisely. Someone decided to take advantage of this attack, to launch one of their own. On one of the rooftops one of the enemy Shinobi started launched an assortment of projectiles at Takao as he breathed flame. With precision manipulation of the chains of GASTER, I sent out three tooth chains to intercept and thrash away every projectile in sight. It was at this moment that I knew, my time to act was now. Before things got even more out of hand. It was at that moment that I made a decision.

Deactivating my puppet's stealth ability, I yelled down to Takao. Trying my best not to break down. "My Lord! Our scouts have located the Raikage and have asked me to transmit their findings to you. Hold still for a moment while I do so." Then, flying down next to Takao, assuming he didn't attack me... I would through my umbrella down one of the deep ravines thirty meters away as I reached for Takao's head and activated a jutsj. But not the kind I had described. With a simple binding of the substitution technique I had set in motion earlier, as well as my Transference technique; once I made contact with Takao he would disappear from sight, and in his place, my umbrella. Hopefully my plan worked, if so, Takao would find himself falling down the sides of one of the Kumogakure's many cliffs. Just far enough from the way that he couldn't cling to it. He would survive that was for sure.

From there I brought my puppet down quickly. Hoping to shield myself before too many faces divined my location and I was focused down. "I'm sorry Takao. This was for you own good." If it was a choice between letting Takao get gunned down, and/or another village experiencing the same terror that I went through then the answer was simply. I would take on the whole village myself. Now from the safety of my puppet shield, opened my mouth, and shouted out, "Come out and face ME, Kumogakure!" My mind swirled with anxiety and battle, my logistics were flawed, and nothing but the heat of battle carrying me. I had no hate for the Kumogakure, but at least this way. The destruction would be minimal, and the civilians would have a chance to evacuate for a few more minutes.

Though in the case my plan hadn't worked as flawlessly as I dreamed. Well, I'd simply have to adapt, and hopefully get away from Takao before he kills me.

By manipulating the flow of chakra in a faint outline around him, Kisei can fly at 120m/s, using the thin chakra field to emit repulsive forces which allow him to "fly". However he can only fly 55 meter above the surface he's over.

Alternatively, he can use this on or against a surface, whether through an item or himself as the conduit, and have it act like a treadmill, increasing his movement speed to (Burst Movement speed + 60m/s). Which allows him to effortlessly glide over all sources without breaking surface tension and be able to turn on a dime.

The purpose of this jutsu is to act as an method to transfer the activation of self targeting jutsu, such as defensive techniques, or in the rare case, healing techniques, from yourself to your target.

When preparing to activate this jutsu it needs to be paired with another jutsu that has a range of either 'touch' or 'self'. At this point Kisei has two methods by which he can choose his target, either by touching his target directly or by sending a burst of chakra from his body towards his intended target at 25m/s in a 0.5m thick beam up to 25 meters in a straight line.

With paired jutsu that require consent of the affected, in the case that this jutsu connects with the target but they do no consent to the use of that jutsu, half of total chakra cost (combined with this and the paired jutsu) is retained.

Using umbrella chakra tech weapon and umbrella assist mod, both found in the first spoiler of my locker. My puppet is in the second spoiler, along with all the mods.

Chiaki

Chiaki

A-rank
Chiaki didn't know what she would do actually, in the event of attacking Kumogakure. She was expected to come as an assistant to the Hokage, of course, but she was also given the option of opting out of this part of it. She didn't like war, and she didn't like bloodshed, but perhaps she could help the wounded given her situation as  a medical kunoichi. She didn't know whether to wear her kunoichi outfit or not. Struggling with what to wear she bounded across the room and decided to wear her chinese dress, yellow trim and a red hand emblazoned on it at thigh height between her legs. it was built for war. Into war she would go. She gulped and looked between her reflection and the floor at least three times before she set her jaw, and her hair up in a bun. She would do this. Whether it was going to be bloody, or whether or not she would die.

Bounding out of the door she would catch up with the others, racing across the landscape. Some were quicker, some were slower. She would be moving with the medical units. They all wore a black band around their upper arm with a red cross, signalling that they would  be able to help any of the injured. She hoped that she would be able to be of use at least in this war, and that she would not regret the consequences of her actions.

The medical unit slowed as they came across their first patient. They had a lacerated neck and were gripping it for dear life. At least they were still able to take ragged breaths, but they were losing a lot of blood as it was from what seemed to be a rather shallow cut. Their holding their neck was actually causing more harm than help and Chiaki had one of the people pry off the hand with a command of, "Get his hand off while I suture it shut." She wove some hand seals and a teal thread sprang up from her hands, she touched the victim of the attack with her pointer finger and the thread wound its way into the skin, weaving in and out of the musculature and vein as it did so and the patient slumped due to becoming unconscious. She sighed in relief as she helped her first patient. There were bodies scattered about the battlefield already, some that were too grievously wounded for Chiaki to help herself. gritting her teeth, she moved to the next body that was laying there, hoping to help them, but realizing that they had a missing arm and leg and were bleeding out. A choking sound came from them as she neared and her hands started to shake. So this was the thrum of war.

The dread of death built up along with bile in her throat and she swallowed past both of them, coming to rest on her knees on the person's uninjured side. "K-kill m-me.." They asked, looking up and gasping for air, "Kill me and let me die for Konoha." She looked around, "Medic! Medic!" Another, more experienced ninja looked over and just shook their head at her. She looked back to the man who gripped her arm almost to the point of breaking, "Do it!" He grit his teeth and stared into her eyes. The sheen of sweat that beaded on his grey skin let her know that he was ready to die, and was already dying no matter her own medical skill. "I can still sav-" she was cut off by his whimpering moan.

"Right." She set her jaw, and then Chiaki took her first life by plunging a kunai into the man's heart, feeling the tendons around it snap under her weight. A long and heavy sigh came from him as he evacuated his bowels, covered himself in urine, and his eyes steadily turned a milky white. Chiaki took out the kunai, spraying herself with blood and viscerae and wiped her hands with a cloth, then used alcohol to wipe them clean. Taking a shaky breath, she left the body there and gulped down vomit several times, making her way towards the next body in a sea of casualties, both Kumogakure and Konoha ninja.

And these were just the ninja that were trying to get behind Takao, that were trying to murder the Hokage. This is what they had left.

Takao

Takao

S-rank
Warpath. D6ehE4O

He didn't care about any of them. From behind his wall of flames he watched them scatter, running in every direction, enacting their futile 'evacuation' plans that only served to remove them from his warpath. Warped thoughts perverted by boiling anger plagued him and echoed within the rage-filled confines of conscious thought, growing louder and louder with each passing second. Nothing short of the Raikage's blood painting his tanned skin with broad strokes of crimson ichor could sate him. He had shed Fuyuko's, it was only fair that the same be done to him.

He took slow, heavy steps forward, the ground fracturing beneath his heavy gait. Needles pricked his body from torso to thigh as each senbon, kunai, and shuriken landed true, littering his torso, arms, and upper legs with well-aimed but lackluster metal. They hadn't brought so much as a falter to his advance. Pillars of smoke leaked from between clenched teeth and sept from the corners of his mouth.

As he walked, swathes of flame surged from his body and surrounded him like a cloak made of fire, glowing and shimmering like burning gold. The blades that had struck him and stuck in his flesh began to glow red hot, then they melted away, beads of sweltering golden water that he didn't pay any mind to dripped down his skin. The dense heat from 'Devouring Judgment Flames' had turned the simple steel into liquid. He had been spared the blindness that would have befallen him by way of flash bombs if not for Kisei's interference, however the lies he spoke did not elude Takao's watchful Eyes of Cinder.

He sucked in air, his hands devoid of the need for seals, and exhaled a ball of swirling flame at Yasubei. The 'Great Fireball Technique' tore across the distance between them, shattering the obstacles in its way, making a clear path between Takao and the puppeteer. He bared his teeth at Kisei, exhaled a growl that emanated from his chest like he was an animal, and watched the brave, familiar-faced shinobi's hand brave the sweltering heat that enshrouded him to place a hand on Takao's head. Then, in a flash before he could register what happened, the ground beneath him was gone and he was falling.

He thrashed himself, turned rightside down, and burning eyes set upon the bottom of the canyon that grew ever closer. Takao wasn't of right enough mind to understand what had been done, all he knew that he was someplace else, that somebody had attempted to strip him of the revenge he lusted after, and now, he was falling. No attempt was made to retard his fall. Instead, he slammed into the ground with all the force of the weight, and the powerful barrier of heat that surrounded him made a crater form where he landed. For a moment, he laid there, lost in an overwhelming chorus of thoughts, a thousand or more voices chanting in unison.

T H E Y A R E P R O T E C T I N G H I M

He was tired from everything, from running for so long, from the initial attack in the Land of Frost, yet he still rose from the ground he'd fallen on. Something far more caustic, more volatile, more toxic than mere determination drove his body from the dirt.

A L L O F T H E M A R E A G A I N S T U S

Digits curled around hard earth as it cracked and fissured ahead of him. Within the ruptures, bubbling lava rose, spewing molten rock out from the depths. Chaotic nature chakra pulled from the environment swirled around him, grabbing chunks of rock from the ground to creep toward his knelt, panting form.

B U R N

The rocks collected on his skin, forming an armour of scales that burnt jet-black from the seering heat of the lava. The volcanic stone built a terrible draconic visage, a bastard that was equal parts man, reptile, earth, and molten lava. Across his body crept the molten stone, hardening into layers of obsidian scales, building large, clawed gauntlets around his arms and abruptly shaping a tail as long as he was tall.

T H E M

Before long, the stones had crept to his neck, and jaws of glowing earth snapped shut around his head. The gnarled helm glowered from within and drooled molten globules of viscous lava. The dripping maws parted and only his jaw was visible, his lips curled into a wicked ear-to-ear smile fueled by overflowing malice.

"ALL." All semblance of reluctance had melted away, replaced by the grim visage he wore like a mask. He rose to stand but hunched forward, the weight of the stone kept him from standing straight, and the tail balanced his odd posture. Then, in an instant, he was gone. The only indication he had ever been there was the ring of vapor that had formed around him when he moved, and the loud, distinct boom of the sound barrier being shattered.

Another explosion sounded, this time it was distant, as a second sun ascended from beneath the valleys of the Hidden Cloud. 'Immaculate Sun' consumed the evacuated Administration Building and took the mountain that it sat upon with it, the majority melted like it were steel while some remnants of the debris were sent flying by the explosion. The

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU HIDING, COWARD?!" His voice was distorted by the sheer volume of heat that surrounded his body, by the gaping, draconic maws of his chimeric transformation, and by the dense swathes of chakra that sept from his body like blood from a gaping wound. The entire village would hear him, he would make them hear him. This wasn't about Fuyuko anymore, perhaps it had only ever briefly been. This was about boiling hatred, bottled and hidden away deep within his psyche, and Daremo had merely been the unfortunate soul to uncork it with his mere presence.

Years of anger had festered within him. His father's beatings, the abuse that left his mind scarred, the residual fear of his face being forced into the flames that terrified him to his core and the boot of the man he trusted the most forcing his head deeper into the mud and fire.

He pretended like it wasn't there but it was, he knew it was, and now the Hidden Cloud and the world would know of it.

Description | 40 Chakra
Devouring Judgement Flames requires the user to exhale Fire Nature chakra onto themselves, creating and maintaining a cloak of flames over the entirety of their body. These flames, while exceptionally hot to the touch, do not actually inflict damage upon the user or foes. Instead, the flames actively devour foreign chakra and chakra-based constructs that come it comes into contact with. Devouring Judgement Flames possess the ability to block all techniques, including techniques with special properties or phasing abilities, whose individual activation cost does not cost equal to or more than the activation cost of Devouring Judgement Flames, up to a maximum of 1 S-Rank technique and equivalent of lesser ranks. The flames produce a shield of blistering heat as well, creating such intense pressure that the earth cracks where they stand, and is capable of blocking and deflecting basic strikes and non-enhanced projectiles.

Additionally, Devouring Judgement Flames invigorates the user's muscles, increasing their movement speed by 200m/s as well as giving them the ability to stop, accelerate, and change their direction of movement near instantaneously without risk of harm.

Range: 100m | 150m Radius
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: Once per thread.
Activation: Hand Seals (Horse → Tiger → Boar → Ram → Tiger → Hare → Dragon → Horse)
Description | (Costs 40 Chakra)

Immaculate Sun is a technique that requires the user to inhale a large breath and knead chakra into the oxygen in their lungs. The user then exhales a massive swathe of fire that rapidly expands into a projectile one hundred fifty-meters in radius as either a continuous flamethrower or a single globular projectile. When this technique comes into contact with lesser Fire or Wind Release techniques of B-Rank (A-Rank for Wind Release) or below, they are engulfed and cannibalized, inflating its effective radius by five-meters per technique consumed. Regardless of the manner in which it is exhaled, the fire travels at speeds of 120m/s up to sixty meters from the user, using the closest point of the projectile or fireball to the user as reference for the distance traveled.

The flames effortlessly reduce everything-- indiscriminate of the user or otherwise-- that they touch to ash. The damage is unhindered by buildings and structures, either completely leveling, melting, or otherwise razing wood, stone, metal, glass, and other materials alike. The sheer intensity of the heat is capable of inflicting severe third-degree burns to anybody standing within five meters of the fire. The fire will continue to burn until it is manually extinguished. Immaculate Sun is massively destructive to the environment as well, leaving craters twice the size as the projectile where the flames land, and enormous scars across the earth where they travel.

Tomohiro

Tomohiro

B-rank
There was nothing that seemed to phase this guy. Even when taking a direct hit from ninja tools, they literally melted away. Tomohiro knew that he wasn’t going to be able to do much. The thought of being able to protect the people of Kumo dissipated. What could a lone chunin do against what was seemingly a god among men? Tomohiro had never seen anything like that in his life. It made him question if his clan members should remove themselves from their self imposed removal from direct society. There were some things that needed to be changed, but the village was in already in a had place. With the remnants of civil war and no true bridge between the last and whatever was the current administration, what could they do. Why would there be an attack on the innocents? Was this to prove a point? Revenge? Tomohiro did not know the answer or what the answer that he was looking for entailed. The only thing that he could figured would be to stand his ground and attempt to figure something out.

The man would deeply inhale again as Tomohiro would stand there. He wasn’t sure that he could through out another attack like that again. The fireball emerged and it wasn’t aimed toward him. The direction was that of another. The presence of the individual was unbeknownst to him until that moment. A puppet user at that. It made him feel a little bit better that he wasn’t alone. Tomohiro would ponder about what he should do. It was like there was a great confliction within his soul. His insides were eating him alive. Part of his mind continue to say run and the other side wanted him to protect the people. Tomohiro would curse himself for not being stronger under his breath. Too long had he spent slacking and letting time fly by without him getting even remotely stronger. The evidence of this was clear and true. If only he trained some more. Only if he put in to learn more powerful jutsu. The weakness that he had was now showing. People were now literally dead or dying. The people’s lives at the gate that he helped take made him uneasy. They were shinobi of his village. They had families dreams and passions that would no longer ever come to fruition. Part of it was because of him. Killing wasn’t foreign to him, but he never thought that his comrades would be affected like this as a result of his bravery.

A flood of tears would come from his eyes as they would then dry from the heat of the flames. Tomohiro would look around him and still see no sign of ANBU or any higher ranked shinobi within the village. This at its very core was treasonous. How could more shinobi not attempt to take on the offensive? Tomohiro’s anger swelled up as he removed his kasa and his long coat. Was this truly going to be the end of Nakir Tomohiro. The man who would face death in the face. His violet eyes stared into the flaming hell which he finally realized was the lord hokage.

“Takao Kimura! Why do you acost my village?!!!” he screamed out.

It was something strange as the man then seemed to disappear. He wasn’t sure what happened. It almost made him feel relieved. Tomohiro would look around quickly trying to figure out what to do. People would need helped. The front gate seemed to be deemed unnecessary to defend at this point. Tomohiro deemed the village unsalvageable as he heard and saw the destruction of the administration building. He figured that he would head back the Nakir compound, but it was probably already evacuated and the tunnels that lead to the Nakir mines outside of the village were more than likely collapsed. The one thing he did appreciate was that his ancestors were wise about how they set up the tunnels. He hated that a lot that was built was lost. It just added to the mess of things that happened today.

Tomohiro decided it was probably best to help others he could or at least escort people out of the village. He darted off to see what he could for whoever was ever left in the village. Running through the streets he saw shinobi and civilians dead. Some of the shinobi were Kumo’s as others had been from Konoha. There wasn’t anything he could do for them. The death and carnage scarred his sight. He would never forget what he saw today. This would be with him for the rest of his life. Lifeless corpses of all types. It didn’t matter if they were young or old. Tomohiro wondered who would go so low to kill a child in cold blood. What was left of his heart sank to the bottom of his stomach. His head swirled as he moved forward. Tomohiro had to stop to catch his balance. He sunk down own his knees trying to get his mind together. It wasn’t until after a few moments that he felt a gloved hand touch his shoulder. Tomohiro was too lost within his own mind to acknowledge it. There was another hand that lifted him to his feet. It wasn’t until then that he looked at the figure that appeared before him. It wore an attire similar to that of the village ANBU, but it was somewhat different. At first, he couldn’t put his finger on it. A distorted voice would speak to him.

“You’re going to need to keep moving. You seem in no shape to be of much help.”

“I’ll push through it,” he stated as he looked back at him with glowing red eyes and straightening himself out.

“Good. We’re trying to locate a daughter of one of the village elders. You can come with me and help get them to safety.”

“I’ll help in anyway I can. Do you know anything of the interim raikage?”

“No. We need to get moving.”

He would follow the cloaked figure across the village. There wasn’t anything it seemed he could do so far. The search for the woman would give him a goal and keep his mind focused for the time being. His eyes calmed down back to their normal violet color as he helped the individual continue his search. Tomohiro had only met her once and she seemed to be a good hearted individual. If that was the one, the figure was referring to. He wasn’t sure about the families of the other elders. Tomohiro hadn’t met them. It seemed a bit odd that they couldn’t find her. The village elders were probably long gone by now. The most important people were always to be evacuated first. Though, he figured that there wasn’t going to be much of a village left to return to. It definitely depended on what would happen within the next few hours.

Tomohiro and the strange figure helped as much as they could to clear rubble from paths and clear debris to help those who lagged behind. They weren’t able to find her. Though, they did come across the occasional bandit that tried to take advantage of the situation. They were quickly dispatched. He wondered what he would do afterward. The location of his clan would be foreign to him and he wasn’t sure where else to go. The first thought was to head toward Iwagakure or the Land of Wind. Tomohiro’s mind then wandered to the possibility of taking refuge within the mountains. Whatever he decided, he would need to find out what happened to Assam. This day just seemed to get worse as time went on. He wanted to attempt to have a conversation with the hokage, but he wasn’t sure if would even be worth it.

“After we our target, I’m going to try and talk to the hokage.”

“I can’t make you do anything, Tomohiro Nakir. Do what you think is right.”

Yasubei

Yasubei

C-rank
Like throwing candles at the sun, the tools Yasubei threw at the radiant being before him were next to useless some even exploding or deflecting in the air before they hit the kage that was wreaking havoc down below. Takao grew into a bright inferno as incandescent rage consumed the space around him. The forged steel weapons that aimed to pierce his body were rendered into mere molten metal as his rage consumed them. The projectiles aimed to blind him and give the kumo-nin an edge impotently exploded against invisible forces far from their target.

Much to his surprise though, he had managed to grab the attention of the fire wreathed ninja. Not a seal was needed to deal with the nuisance before him, not that Yasubei expected that much. With only the need for a glance in his direction and chakra formed in his lungs and mouth, the hokage formed a powerful chakra rich flame that he hurled in Yasubei's direction. Searing heat made its way towards the Chunin and his puppet, closing the distance in mere moments. It's incredible force sundered the ground beneath it and floors of the building as it made its way to Yasubei.

Yasubei eyes would flicker towards Ogre as he quickly formed two hand seals, strands of ebony hair would fly backwards as the great projectile approached before spiraling into a cocoon around himself and Ogre. They'd harden into iron-like spikes as heavy chakra laden fire ignited the space around them. The puppet-nin would raise his arms in front of him in the cocoon as his defenses fell apart around them until it seemed like it was only his bare hands pressing against the fireball. The mere impact of the powerful ninja's jutsu causing his body to creak.

The ground would crack beneath his bare feet and as he slowly began sliding back they'd start to carve a path into the roof of the building. A second pair of hands would place themselves on the jutsu stopping it for a moment as four hands now began to smoke with burns. Once more the roof beneath them would crack, but this time the two would lose their footing and the fireball would over take them. The duo would be knocked of their feet and they'd begin tumbling backwards as the force of the fireball would skip them along the rooftop like pebbles on a lake.

Yasubei would lose sight of Ogre as he was launched through the skies and then through a wall, then another, then yet another until he was in a crater in a dark evacuated room. He'd look around reestablishing his bearings. The chakra enriched hair that had served as a barrier between himself and the jutsu was in cinders. The burning stopped just passed his shoulders, he'd run a simple diagnostic as testing joints one at a time.  With a pointless inhale Yasu would rip himself from the wall. He'd reach into his sleeves grabbing sealing scrolls and putting them in his kunai pouch before ripping off his tattered cloak. A thick chain shirt and dark blue pants would cover most of his puppet body, but his exposed hands would have some of the artificial skin peeled away.

Yasu would make his way to the tops of the building once more taking note of the destruction that had transpired. He couldn't feel it but with heat so palpable he could see the heat waves the destruction produced. His intense hatred had melted buildings to the ground. Others might have been afraid, second guessed their decision to stand against such a force. Yasubei felt neither of these things he could only watch as the village hidden in the sand superimposed itself over this village in the clouds.

Yasubei would go through an array of hands seals, Dog → Boar → Ram, as he reached his hand up adjusting the hat that appeared atop his head. His mind cemented the poorly scrapped together plan in his head. Long albino white hair that he had only ever seen in photographs flowed in the air. He knew he couldn't stop the Hokage, but there was a chance that he could end this attack on this village. A chance he could do what he'd failed to so long ago. He could smell the ortolan. The bird so glutted on its vices that it became the distilled essence of that very vice. He wondered who would be end up being the blind, bloated finch and who would be the one shielding their eyes from god.

Shirtless, a facsimile of the Raikage would stand atop the building the Yasubei had been sent through. It was a simple disguise, an illusion that would be relatively easy to pierce by most all. He would call no attention to himself in this moment, simply waiting out the next course of events. "How very unaesthetic." The fake would stand on the building a white mane dancing in the wind. Yasubei didn't know what the Raikage used to fight, so he was wearing his normal gear. Maybe it was a mistake but Yasu calculated it increased his odds of survival, if only marginally.

Summary:
Yasubei after blocking the jutsu flies through some buildings and transforms into Daremo. For now he is simply standing atop a building not begging to be seen, but not hiding either.

Kashizudoto

Kashizudoto

S-rank
"You know, I'm cursed with morals. I was raised a certain way. I wish I wasn't. I wish I was raised by wolves."

- Quote from Carson Daly, wolf sage

It became quite clear to Kashizudoto as he watched the Hokage fight that he was fuming with rage - perhaps even berserk - and would possibly even tear through the entire village in his search for Daremo. Kashizudoto felt it unfortunate that innocents would have to get caught in the way of Takao's warpath, falling as victims to a seemingly blinding rage that they did not contribute to, but there was little that Kashizudoto planned to do to save them. As a shinobi, it was one thing to feel empathy for others and wish for things to be ideal and just, and it was another thing to act upon those emotions and those ideals and stake one's own life, reputation, and personal fortunes to uphold them. Before his defection from the Leaf six years ago, Kashizudoto used to be a young man with a very strong sense of justice and a dedication to his ideals that more than often had gotten him into trouble, but he had come to the conclusion sometime after he left the Leaf that it was better for him to simply watch the decline of the world from afar and accept it. Now that he had returned to shinobi lifestyle, his goals did not shift too far from that, except that now he intended not only to watch the world's decline and all its injustices but to then also go ahead and scavenge whatever was left behind, like a hyena pouncing upon the scraps left by a lion who had just killed and eaten its game. That wasn't to say that Kashizudoto didn't feel bad for the metaphorical game, in this situation, but he accepted that there was not a single action he could take to protect the innocents wherein the personal reward to himself outweighed the risk. Kashizudoto could accept the notion that he was secretly very selfish, but at least he wasn't a loser in the game of life, and, to him, that was all that mattered now that he had cast his lofty morals and philosophies aside.

It seemed that a large portion of Kumogakure's manpower was focused on an evacuation procedure, and it seemed to Kashizudoto, watching from afar, that they were doing a good job at it too, though there were still plenty of stragglers - men, women, and children alike - who would most certainly die if and when they got in the way of the Hokage's warpath. Kashizudoto looked to a nearby mountaintop and noticed a platoon of Kumogakure soldiers assembling. They numbered in the hundreds, by Kashizudoto's count, and it seemed that they were rallying for a counterattack now that most of the evacuation procedures had been carried out. This was a chance to impress the Hokage with his skills by taking on an entire platoon, Kashizudoto figured, and he appeared in front of the mountaintop they were assembling upon, with his hawk perched on his shoulder, pulled out his summoning contract, bit his finger, and drew a signature out of blood across the summoning contract.

To fight this platoon, Kashizudoto would have to call upon Hanuman, the Lord of Monkeys himself, and as Kashizudoto drew his signature across the contract, he wondered whether Lord Hanuman would join him for such an ignoble goal as the terrorization of an entire hidden village. He noted that Lord Hanuman had never said no to him in the past and had never even uttered a word of resistance against him, and Kashizudoto thought it unlikely that the Lord of Monkeys would flip-flop on his dutiful nature so suddenly.

Warpath. 835411364

A giant puff of smoke appeared from where Kashizudoto was standing. Even the smoke itself was a sight to behold, given its size and spontaneity, but the summon it revealed was something of sheer terror to those who had never witnessed it before. A monkey, with a somewhat human-like appearance relative to his subjects, stood before the platoon of Kumogakure shinobi at one hundred meters tall. He wore a golden crown upon his head, and, in his mouth, Kashizudoto and Hawky sat.

It was clear to Lord Hanuman, seeing the platoon of Kumogakure soldiers, what his objective was. Lord Hanuman entered Sage Mode and assumed his running stance, charging his body up with a massive amount of chakra and preparing it for the Majestic Rampage, the most powerful technique in his arsenal. Kashizudoto had never seen Hanuman use it firsthand, but, according to the Lord of Monkeys, he had used it to level entire cities in the past on the command of his summoners. To take on a platoon was no easy task even for the Lord of Monkeys, but the force of chakra that Hanuman exuded in the use of this technique was something almost otherworldly. Infused with both normal chakra and nature chakra, the technique exuded an aura around his body that shone a bright color of bluish green.

"I assume they are causing you trouble, Kashi?" Lord Hanuman groaned. Standing from inside of Hanuman's mouth, he could hear every word he spoke as if it were echoing through a giant cave. Hanuman's mouth hung open a tad bit, and Kashizudoto witnessed as a barrage of various jutsu and weapons sent by the Kumogakure shinobi struck the Lord of Monkeys all over his giant body and were all destroyed upon impact with the aura of the Majestic Rampage; the weapons and doton jutsu shattered, while the katon and raiton jutsu fizzled out, the suiton jutsu splattered, and the fuuton jutsu simply dissipated. Lord Hanuman roared, causing some of the shinobi to panic. He grunted faintly, and although he said it relatively silently, Kashizudoto could hear the monkey loud and clear from inside his mouth, "Kashi, just say the word, and I will charge at them." Kashizudoto knew for sure that he was prepared to give the command, and he found himself clenching his left fist.

But the only word that escaped Kashizudoto's mouth in the next moment was, "Wait." The giant monkey heeded his command and took a few steps backward, making sure not to crush anyone inadvertently with his steps, and Kashizudoto paused as he took a second to process what he himself had just said. Lord Hanuman was a powerhouse - a tool of destruction - and the fact that Kashizudoto had summoned him in the first place meant that he urgently needed to dispatch of the foe in front of him in an indiscriminate manner. The Kumogakure platoon continued to barrage Lord Hanuman with dozens of jutsu at a time, but his Majestic Rampage allowed him to brave it all without a scratch as Kashizudoto tried getting his act together. But if he couldn't get his own act together, maybe his monkey could do it for him.

"Lord Hanuman," Kashizudoto sighed, "I need your advice." The monkey stepped back again and then bellowed out a giant laugh that was so loud it resounded across the entire village. The platoon continued barraging him with the jutsu, but with the aura of his Majestic Rampage ripping all of their attacks to shreds with the sheer force of its immense chakra, he had nothing to worry about.

"You summoned me... for advice?" Lord Hanuman spoke somewhat quietly and then continued his loud bellowing. Lord Hanuman's laugh was something that Kashizudoto had never heard before. Kashizudoto, too, would have probably found the situation amusing if he wasn't the chump who had just asked his summon animal for advice. Hanuman resumed a quieter voice, "The last time a human asked me for advice was many many centuries ago, and it didn't end very well for them!" At this point, the barrage from the Kumogakure platoon had ended; it seemed that the commander had concluded that attacking the monkey was pointless and that it was best for the platoon to conserve their chakra.

"So if humans don't like to listen to you," he asked, "Then why do you give them summoning contracts?"

The monkey nodded his head in response, "It is my debt to Rama Sarutobi, the last man who took advice from me." As a shinobi, Kashizudoto had heard sweet and sappy stories like this plenty of times before - tales of love and duty and of sacrifices and promises - and, as inspiring as they were, he didn't have the time to hear the full story, so he didn't ask about it.

"I may be a monkey, Kashi," Lord Hanuman mumbled under his breath in such a manner that only those within his mouth could hear him, "But I'm no idiot, and I see what's going on around us." He took another step back, "You have a difficult choice to make, and I'm not going to make the same mistake of telling you what to do like I did with Rama. Whatever choice you make is the one I'll go with. It makes no difference to me." The monkey turned his head towards the Hokage, who stood atop a mountain, and allowed Kashi to watch through his half-open mouth as the Hokage consumed a large section of Kumogakure, including its Administration Building, in a massive burst of flame. Kashizudoto focused his gaze on an old, disabled man caught in the crossfire, who was, no doubt, burnt to a crisp almost instantaneously. It was unfortunate to see the innocents caught in the Hokage's crossfire, but there was nothing he could do about their suffering without staking his own life and career on it.

"The Hokage or the platoon?" Lord Hanuman asked, still whispering, "Your decision." To Kashizudoto, it was an obvious choice. Although the fate of these innocents was no doubt in peril, it was of no concern to him in comparison to his own life and career. He had just reintegrated into Konoha after having spent such a long time in a remote part of the Land of Fire as a sage, and he now had a great career in both the ANBU and the military, as well as a girlfriend and a good fortune invested in various enterprises back home. The idea of sacrificing it all for even an entire village of innocents was ludicrous to Kashizudoto, and the fact that he hadn't ordered Lord Hanuman to take down the entire platoon sooner was evidence to him that he wasn't thinking clearly. But Kashizudoto's lips once again betrayed his thoughts, and without his consent, his mouth uttered the word "Hokage" instead of "platoon," which is what he had intended to say.

Lord Hanuman did not hesitate to heed the accidental command, and, before Kashizudoto could even correct him, he began charging forth towards the Hokage with the force of his Majestic Rampage, bursting forth at 380 m/s, plowing through the earth with each step on its way towards the Hokage. Lord Hanuman left his mouth partly open, allowing Kashizudoto, who had by now assumed his invisible and silent form, to watch along with Hawky from the first person perspective as the giant monkey proceeded to charge up the mountaintop towards the Hokage and attempt to deliver a punch to the Hokage, although he would close his mouth if necessary to shield Kashizudoto and Hawky from an attack. Kashizudoto tried to tell his monkey to stop, but not another word could escape his mouth, as if his own lips felt guilty for what they had just done to him and were now giving themselves a self-imposed timeout.

It was too late for Kashizudoto. With that one word, he had just placed himself in the way of the Hokage's warpath, and there was no turning back.

Items/Abilities Used:
Abilities: Nature's Blend, Nature's Friend

Nature:
Name: Nature
Classification: Body Seal
Rank: A
Elemental Alignment: N/A
Quantity: 1
Primary function: Used to store items or techniques through the use of Fuinnjutsu. 10 techniques and/or item types may be stored in this body seal and unsealed for 5 chakra each.

Ability Slots:

[Requires Senjutsu and Fuuinjutsu to use.]

Nature's Friend (Personal Ability) - When the wearer steps upon or grabs part of their surroundings (that is not an item or a jutsu), be it dirt, a branch, or a twig, the natural energy of this seal will create a buffer between the wearer and whatever they are stepping on or grabbing that allows the wearer to step right on top of it or grab it without deforming or moving it in any way  Thus, the wearer can traverse their surroundings without disturbing or displacing them in any way; for example, upon stepping on the ground, they leave no footprints, do not break or move twigs, or uproot dirt, and when jumping from tree branch to tree branch, the branches will not move, snap, or deform at all. This allows the ninja to move without creating a trail. Additionally, the natural energy of this seal will also keep the air around the wearer still while the wearer moves; therefore, they will not create wind or air currents when they walk or run.

Nature's Blend (Personal Ability) - The natural energy of this seal blends the wearer's scent with that of their immediate surroundings, making them untrackable by smell.
Appearance: A 10cmx10cm body seal with a tree emblem in the middle that is placed on Kashizudoto's chest.
History: TBD
Kashizudoto Jutsu:
The Invisible Flame:
Name: The Invisible Flame
Concept: Kashizudoto's Penance/Oneness With Nature
Description: After years of meditation in the wilderness, Kashizudoto has achieved a oneness with nature that has allowed him to be naturally imperceptible to sight and sound; this includes all items attached to or held by him. Though silent and invisible, Kashizudoto can still be touched, smelled, and tasted and interacts normally with other objects, although these interactions are silent. His biggest giveaway is the trail that he leaves in his wake - uprooted dirt, broken twigs, and footsteps. Furthermore, without the activation of an appropriate stealth jutsu, he is still perceptible to supernatural sensory methods such as chakra and heat detection that are A-rank and above.

He can choose to reveal himself to either sight or sound at any time. However, if he chooses to do so, he cannot selectively reveal himself to certain people and not others; for example, if he decides to make himself visible, he will be visible to everyone who can normally see him, not just the people who he wants to reveal himself to. Because a sage must be focused solely on nature during meditation, he is unable to reveal himself to either sight or sound while meditating.

B-rank
Even as the challenge to Kumogakure left my mouth, I could feel something brewing at the bottom of the pit. The chilly atmosphere of the land of clouds turned blazing. Behind me I could hear liquid popping, low and threatening. A giant pooling heat emanated from the pit which I switch transported Takao into for safe keeping. I gripped my umbrella tightly, remembering the Hokage's challenge for a real fight without any constraints between us. I remembered how absolutely he had dominated me in that little sparring match we shared. Right now, he was nothing like that.

He was a force of nature itself.

A explosion of sound behind me shattered my determination for a moment, as I whipped around to see what what had happened, just as another explosion in front of me caught my attention once more. "Damn it.. I was too weak this time as well." Where I was supposed to see the Administration building, all I saw was a hulking stump of a mountain half melted.. I didn't even know what to do. From the inside of my puppet, I just stood there, stupefied. As I looked at the burning mass of stone and newly created lava, familiar memories began to resurface. Before the visions of unparalleled destruction and flames could consume me I managed to turn away. Heavy breaths fell from my mouth as oxygen failed to reach my heart. Everything around me was in a blur of movement and chaos and embers as I curled into the fetal position n the stone floor. Dozens of conflicting emotions battling in my soul as I looked up towards Takao. Their body had become like fire, and the molten glow they gave off could be seen even as they jumped around screaming on a nearby mountain. As weak and dulled it was his voice forced me back onto my feet. There were still things I had to do.

However.. that all changed when the giant monkey appeared. The first thing that came to my mind was that the Kumogakure ninja were really pissed. As I looked around the monkey I realized how close they were to Takao. Oh hell no. Before I even knew what I was doing I flew towards the monkey at full speed, pulling on one chain of my puppet and dragging it with me while I hooked the umbrella to one of the middle belt loops on my pants. I've never fought giant summons before but supposedly there's a time for everything, guess it's time for my first. But I had to hurry before- and now they were dashing towards Takao. Fantastic.. while it took me a few extra seconds to finally reach them they were already geared for attack an launched a single punch towards the transformed dragon sage.

"Over here you dumb primate!" I screamed as I stopped one hundred meters from the ape. throwing my puppet towards the giant monkey while I commandeered it into a mode of attack. Burst attacks were my specialty, and it was time to show it off. While the puppet flew forward I channeled chakra into it while directing all twenty seven of it's chains to fly out to their maximum reach at the same time in a spiral shape and begin to spin, acting as a sort of buzzsaw. While one hand was busy with the puppet I pulled out a scroll of my own and opened it up and unsealed my pinwheel. Connecting a single chakra thread from my free hand to both my umbrella and pinwheel the second volley was ready to open fire. It was at this point that the puppet would make contact with the monkey, assuming that they hadn't disrupted the attack someway. Once the puppet landed I would turn on the pinwheel's chainsaw function and wind it up to fire, like a fishing rod about to be cast out. As I charged the pinwheel's innate ability with chakra I cast it out towards the primate. The wheel, while small compared to the eighty meter diameter spiral I had going on, was undoubtedly more effective at this one particular ability, mutilation. As the pinwheel closed half of the distance to it's intended target I channeled chakra into my umbrella, twice, giving it two charges before unloading both with a quick double press of the trigger with my puppet strings. A puppet charged with paralyzing electricity, a pinwheel that can butcher stone and trees, and an umbrella that can gun down most defenses; what can go wrong?

In a battle like this, anything. My chakra reserves were tanking a massive blow, but it'd be worth it.

Chiaki

Chiaki

A-rank
NSFW GORE AHEAD:
18+ is advised.:
Chiaki, when she moved to the next body, tripped over something. Looking down, she realized that it was a human arm. The explosion had charred the bone, muscle, and fat and it was still smoldering. The arm had been cooked along the underside, where the skin bubbled and cracked, exposing the boiling fat and browned muscle. It didn’t have a clear owner, and she looked back at it. It had been making a hand seal of some sort, but the fingers had been melted together, making a sort of grotesque flipper out of the digits. Whatever jutsu was going to be fired was long since avoided in the firey jutsu that had blown this arm off.

Looking around, her eyes scanned the horizon, and only then did she realize that the battlefield was literally littered with human remains, and the dead and dying. Chiaki moved deliberately now, holding her hands over her ears to drown out the screams of the man next to her, trying not to look at him.

“Ahhhhgodkillme!” he screamed loud enough for her to close her eyes and try to ignore him, she could help the patient that was in front of her, that was all, he was too badly burned, he was too badly burned, he was-. A hand grabbed her leg, the skin and muscle sloughing off and the bone dragging against her shin roughly. In horror, she opened her eyes and mouth and let out a scream.

The man’s face was exposed and loose hanging skin. Blisters covered the places where he still had skin, where the skin had already sloughed off she saw a reddened or blackened muscle underneath. Some of the tendons had hardened from the flames and had been browned by the heat from the jutsu. His eyes had boiled and pooled down to cover his cheeks, or what was left of them. His lips were curled back, great gashes from the water in them boiling and popping from the extreme temperature fluctuation showing rows of too white teeth over receded gums. One of his top front incisors was hanging by the exposed nerve in what was left of his gums. He had either bitten his tongue or it had been when he fell from whatever height, but it was missing a sizeable chunk out of it, and as he inhaled to scream at her again his mouth pooled with blood and a clear liquid that Chiaki identified as lymph. A blister burst in his face as he screamed in agony again, that face, pleading for anything to alleviate the pain lifted back in agony and he sucked in another breath, his jaw clenching so tight that some of his teeth cracked as he screamed at her again.

Speech was beyond him, reason was beyond him, and all that he could feel was pain. Chiaki looked on in horror for another scream and then took out her kunai and plunged it deep into his skull. A shriek filled the air as she did so and the man clawed at his face, raking the handle of the kunai and the back of her hand as she drove it in, her face a mask of raw rage, hatred, fear, and disgust. She had no idea if this was a leaf ninja, or whether it was a Kumo ninja, but she wanted it dead. Wanted the screaming to end. Wanted him to stop the high pitched inhuman noise that he was making.

Her kunai retreated and she stabbed him in the other eye, then the throat, then the chest, and then the face a couple more times. He stopped moving after the second stab, the clearing was all but mercifully quiet though, the screams and moans of the dying permeated the area and where his voice was quiet, more rose to meet the crescendo that raked at Chiaki’s ears. She covered her ears and started crying, holding herself over the burnt man’s corpse, great sobs running through her from the base of her head to her tailbone. She didn’t know how, but she found someone’s vomit in her lap after a couple of sobs and a hurried intake of breath.

It was hers. She registered that, and as she turned to look at the corpse, her eyes opened wide and she let out her own scream. It was something far away, high pitched and horrible to hear. It tore at her vocal cords. She had never seen the first of these. The wounded like this were left on the battle field, when she found the corpses before, they were already dead. This man… was this what they felt when they died? Someone was screaming again, still far away. She screamed once more before in a flash someone slapped her. It was a backhand, but sent Chiaki sprawling across the charred ground, the rough ground tearing at her skin and clothing. She opened her mouth again as she saw the man who had slapped her standing over her and she drew a couple of shaky inhales.

The man’s face was placid, he didn’t show sympathy, no remorse for what he did, but his eyes held her for a moment. They were a bluish teal, a healing color, a cool color. A live color. She gulped down the air that was around her, feeling the smoke that permeated the area fill her lungs, but it was air, and she was alive. His gaze held her, and she was paralyzed, a mouse in the gaze of a serpent.

“I need you to treat that man over there.”
The man said, his eyes not leaving hers, his arm was pointing. The man in question was holding his leg, great rushes of blood came from what appeared to be an arterial wound as he grit his teeth and tried to apply pressure. His eyes were panicked and he was a greyish color already.

Chiaki didn’t know what to do except nod, the man that had slapped her left as suddenly as he had come and she walked dumbly over to the man, her mouth shut, covered in her own vomit. She sat down next to him and wove some hand signs numbly before pressing a finger to his shoulder. The chakra that sprang from her fingers and into his shoulder shot across his heart, an electric jolt that made him gasp as it soared around his heart, down his side and into his leg. The teal threads wove themselves into a semblance of his muscle, then his fat, then his skin and as soon as he was healed, he nodded a thank you to her.

“Thank you miss, I owe you my life.” He said, She noticed for the first time he had brown eyes and she nodded, wiping her mouth off, it still had some of the vomit on it and she gulped, her throat raw, but from vomiting or screaming she couldn’t tell.

“It’s nothing. Help the others.” She waved her hand over the battlefield. “Bring whoever a genin can heal to me. I will heal them.” She stumbled up to her feet, wiping off the front of her dress to the best of her ability. She didn’t even smell the vomit through the smell of burning iron, feces, and urine that ran rampant throughout the clearing.

She walked on, passing a man that caught her attention, it was horrible, but her brain didn’t register it. He had been eviscerated, his reaction was to grab his intestines, which had ruptured from a lightning blast, he was screaming and looked down at himself. His legs were tented, much like a pregnant patient and he was scrambling to put his insides back into his stomach which looked like it had been blasted apart. It was a short couple of screams that left him dead when she walked past. The half-digested food pooling on the ground along with his inner fluids, blood, and urine washing against the still smoldering land underneath him. His eyes turned up towards her in his final moments, a pleading look on his face before a calm half-smile wore its way on there like a half-forgotten lover.

Chiaki knelt next to the next person who gave her a disgusted look as she looked over their wounds. The woman’s gastrocnemius had been severed by what seemed to be a rather blunt object from the tearing of the tissue and she held it away from Chiaki, slapping the girl across the face and yelling, “Get back! You’re disgusting, you’ll give me an infection!”

Chiaki didn’t even register the slap, but it knocked her head to the side. Shaking her head twice she wove some more hand seals and touched the woman’s shoulder as she had the other man and the chakra wove its way through her body. The threads zigged and zagged across the gap of flesh missing, and reattached the frayed muscle, which looked like the ends of a frayed knot, knitting themselves together. Next came the layer that protects the muscle, and then the skin. Chiaki stood up and the woman looked horrified at her, then back to her leg with a look of genuine surprise and as she thanked Chiaki, her tired eyes looked across the horizon. She stepped over the woman and started walking towards the next patient.

This continued until she found herself panting for lack of chakra, the only technique she was using was her guanyin sutures. There were so many to treat. Too many for her to treat alone. Too many for any of the medical ninja to treat. She looked to her left and saw a skull face, one that had been cut off at the front, the brain had half-slumped out of its cavity, the eyes had been neatly cut in half and deflated due to the lack of water that was there, It was an interesting bisection of human anatomy and Chiaki chuckled to herself. The chuckle boiled to a giggle, and the giggle turned into a cackle. The cackle brimmed on hysterics, and as she laughed her eyes filled with tears, the laughter tearing through her in electric waves. She put her face on the still hot ground of what was the first of the Hokage’s, or one of the other ninja of the hidden leaf’s craters and she sat there, screaming in a fit of laughter.

Chiaki, a small girl, surrounded by the horrors of war, counted the teeth of the corpse as it stared at her with its grinning, lolling tongue, and it seemed comical to her. Why? Why was she laughing?

Her mind slapped itself as a hand pressed against her shoulder and a voice spoke into her ear, “Show me your stomach. Are you hurt?” Asked the medical ninja that was standing above her. “Go on, that’s a good girl.” She rolled over and lay there giggling, a half-laugh here, a snort there as the medical ninja inspected her for any damage to her body. She couldn’t even make out a face on the person, just a soothing voice, “Get up dear. You’re one of the medical corps. Get up, let’s go to the tents.” Then an arm swooped around her, under her armpits and righted her. Her eyes wound around the battlefield once more.

Dead.

They were all dead.

They were all dead and for what?

They were dead.

She couldn’t save them.

She looked at the woman that was carrying her to the tents, who smiled at her, a warm smile. It felt familiar, it was the smile she had seen in the mirror once or twice. This was the… it was the smile of understanding, it was the smile that Chiaki herself wore when other shinobi returned without their squads and were in the dementia or PTSD ward. It was aimed at who though?

Her head lolled to the sides slowly, almost drunkenly. Who was this smile aimed at?

Oh.

It was aimed at her.

WC: 2799

Summary TLDR:
Chiaki tries to treat others that are hurt, ends up crying, treats more people, finally doubles over laughing in half-insanity, is dragged from the battlefield to the medical base of operations.

Takao

Takao

S-rank
Warpath. D6ehE4O

He watched as wood and stone alike burnt and melted, a scar upon the land left when his volatile flames faded. The breadth of his technique had taken the mountain in its entirety, and left behind a void where it once towered over the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Some part of him, his voice of reason, or maybe the semblances of his better judgment, they all quipped sarcastically, 'how ironic'.

The ground rumbled beneath him and so too did the mountain that he stood upon shake. His gaze trailed sidelong to take in the form of a massive creature running toward him. The gaping maws of his earthen mask parted and globules of molten lava sept from the rocky outcroppings that lined the faux mouth. From within, the bellowed roar of an animal came forth, screeching like the shriek of a dragon. It seemed as if the supposed defender was doing more damage than he was, the large monkey clamboring through the Hidden Cloud village had left a significant trail of destruction in his wake.

Burning eyes watched as the creature stormed forward with two distinct heat signatures hidden within its maw. His eyes narrowed on their forms; a bird, uninteresting enough in its appearance that he paid it little mind, and the face of the man who opposed him. He remembered that face, he'd seen it months ago, the deserter who returned from the Hidden Cloud and begged for a place within the Leaf. The defector.

New flavours of rage built in his gut, subservient to his overarching goal to find Daremo, but conscious enough that a new threat had arisen that he needed to squash before his hunt could continue. The beast's arm lifted and swung for him. It would smash into the mountain and level it, leaving a plume of debris where it once stood.

Takao had launched from the mountain after baiting the hit, ensuring it came to pass, and utilized the speed boon granted by his cloak of 'Devouring Judgment Flames' to land upon the surface of the monkey's arm. Chakra flooded the soles of his boots to keep him stuck firm and he moved again, just shy of the speed of sound so that his position was not readily revealed by the boom. As he moved down the arm toward the torso, he weaved seals, and along the way his hand briefly made contact with the monkey's limb. His own contract seal appeared and with it came an obfuscation of white smoke. From within it, a near identical screech to Takao's earlier bellowing roar cut through the dull silence.

Warpath. UaTlMLf

Massive wings blew the wisps of smoke away and revealed the massive form of Geni'zo's giant form. Over a hundred meters of winged reptile had appeared atop Hanuman, with wings spanning well over twice its length tucked against its spined back. The massive beast's clawed feet aimed for Hanuman with the aim to sink deep into its flesh, and a maw that spewed forth geysers of molten lava aimed to latch down on its left shoulder. Had Takao not made contact with Geni'zo and taken the Summon's 'Flowing Dragon's Regalia' in the form of a black flamed shroud over his shoulders, then the Dragon Boss might not have acted in complete accordance to his desires. However, the wordless link they shared left nothing to be assumed of Takao's orders.

In their shared consciousness, Geni'zo heard the repetitive chanting of a thousand voices within Takao's head, all repeating the same thing. Burn them all. Over and over, screaming and shouting so loud that even his own thoughts were deafened by their presence.

"Kid," The thought had occurred to him to try to act as some fleeting voice of reason amidst the sea of chanting voices, but when time came for him to speak, words failed him. The mental link meant that Geni'zo felt the rage, felt how deep it ran, how intensely it burned. He mused that Uranauzo himself, with all his unbridled rage and anger, would have buckled under the sheer crippling potency of Takao's fury.

"Kid! You gotta speak to me here! What's going on?! Why are we fighting the Lord of Monkeys?" His voice bellowed louder, yelling over the thousands of others within the cacophony of rage-filled screams.

"JUST DISTRACT. I WILL KILL." The voices, Takao's own indiscernible within the sea of tones, all spoke with unanimous conviction. Geni'zo mentally winced, felt ripples of terror course through him, and became overwhelmed with an unwillingness to contest the demand. Instead, he would do as ordered and would combat the Lord of Monkeys best as he could, keeping on with his attempt to pin the creature's arms away.

He would let the Prince of Dragons combat the primate scourge while Takao's sights were set upon the summoner. He ran along the underside of the monkey's arm until he neared the shoulder, then he sprinted over the bicep and shoulder toward the crook of its neck. His speed left him a blur of technicolour flames, still moving just barely short of the sound barrier.

As he did reach his destination, his outstretched arm had already formed a dense ball of swirling chakra. His arm rose and the sphere grew, gaining four arms that spin and whistled shrill tones as its blades cut through the air. Just as he arrived at the shoulder of Hanuman, Takao's raised arm cocked back and fired it at the massive creature's neck. The rasenshuriken rocketed through the air toward the base of Hanuman's neck with the aim to decapitate the creature entirely and send it back to the realm whence it came. But, not only was his aim to rid the battlefield of Hanuman's presence, but on contact with the Lord of Monkeys skin, the rasenshuriken would travel halfway through and erupt into an explosion to explode a hundred meters in each direction, with the razor-sharp blades of microscopic fūton chakra dicing chakra pathways into a fine mince.

Specialty: Medical Ninjutsu

Activation: Hand Seals (Tiger) + Physical Contact
Description: Flowing Dragon Regalia is a technique that comes in one of two flavours, depending on which form Geni'zo has taken. In his gelatinous 'true' form, Geni'zo will reform himself using chakra and attach himself to the target. Upon doing so, he fuses his chakra pool with theirs and turns himself into a sentient shroud of hardened scales that covers the other's back, arms, and head as if he were a cloak. In his larger 'Boss' form, this technique instead takes the shape of a similar mantle, however the technique manifests itself as a hooded cloak of black flames instead.

Regardless of the form it takes, the effect it imparts remains the same. The connection between Geni'zo and the user allows the user to act as a point of origin for Geni'zo's techniques, and also allows the user to channel any of Geni'zo's techniques using themselves as a conduit. These techniques can draw upon either the user's own chakra pool or Geni'zo's. Additionally, this technique creates a mental link between Geni'zo and the wearer.

Description: Passage of One's Rage is a technique that creates an epicenter of nature chakra in the user's core, where all chakra is created within their body, and acts as a filter for outgoing chakra. The user's chakra passed through this filter of nature chakra in their core and forces the properties of nature chakra, allowing any technique produced by the user to act as if it were a senjutsu technique while this technique is active. Additionally, this filter causes techniques to be composed solely of senjutsu chakra.

Type: Offensive
Element: Wind Release
Range: 100m | 50(100)m radius
Specialty: Ninjutsu | Senjutsu(optional)
Duration: 1 post
Activation: Action (Extending Arm)

Ability: Rasengan and its variant techniques are considered as a separate jutsu of their own rank during each of their two stages; impact, and detonation.

Description | 40 Chakra

Wind Release: Spiraling Shuriken is a shuriken-shaped variant of the original Small Ball Rasengan technique, and an advancement to the Wind Release: Rasengan technique. By amplifying the core concepts of the latter, the Rasengan adopts an appearance akin to a larger Wind Release: Rasengan, about double the size of a typical windmill shuriken at nearly 1-meter in diameter. As the blades of the Rasengan rapidly spin, it releases a shrill whir and picks up dust and debris around the user. Wind Release: Spiraling Shuriken can either be thrust as a close-range technique or thrown up to 80-meters from the user at speeds of 200m/s; if thrust into a subject, the subject itself will be carried the full 80-meters before the detonation occurs. This technique does not require hand seals. Additionally, the user can activate the detonation stage at will.

The technique occurs in two stages. Upon impact, Rasenshuriken will cut straight through everything it comes into contact with. As the technique detonates, it reduces anything within its radius to rubble in a violent explosion and sends a minor shockwave 25-meters out from the radius that is capable of fracturing bone and sending anybody caught within 50-meters flying. The shockwave travels at 200m/s. The meat of the technique is not its inherent damage from the explosion, which is capable of shattering bones and dealing minor third-degree tissue damage, but rather how it attacks the cellular structure of its victim's chakra networks. Utilizing tiny, razor-sharp blades of wind, the Rasenshuriken permanently decimates the victim's chakra networks, rendering them completely incapable of using chakra until healed by an SS-Rank technique that specifically recovers chakra network-centric injuries.

If the senjutsu variant is used while the user is in Sage Mode, the detonation radius increases to 100-meters.
Summary:
Takao evaded Lord Hanuman's Majestic Rampage and ran underneath his arm after it smashed into the mountain Takao was standing on. Along the way, he summoned Geni'zo, used their brief physical contact to cast Flowing Dragon's Regalia, and then subsequently used Geni'zo's chakra pool using Flowing Dragon's Regalia to cast Passage of Rage on himself.

Traveling at 320m/s, Takao casts Rasenshuriken as he's arriving on Hanuman's shoulder, and throws it at 200m/s toward the base of Hanuman's neck.

Tomohiro

Tomohiro

B-rank
The two shinobi reached a sizeable apartment complex. The complex was recently refurbished. He figured this is where a portion of the upper class members of society stayed full time or temporarily within the village. Tomohiro was a bit jealous, especially compared to the size of his living quarters. He wondered how much ryo went into this place. Everything was only accessible from a giant lobby. There was no sign of life within their vicinity and Tomohiro hadn’t gotten adjusted to use of his Baningu Netsugan yet to attempt to look for bodies. The other shinobi still remained mostly silent and like himself didn’t have much to say. Tomohiro also figured that he would know exactly where to go. It made him wonder why no one checked this place first, but there seemed to be abandoned travel bags and things every. The place was obviously cleared out. With the current rumbling, it seemed like there was an aftermath of an earthquake going on outside. The sounds that they could feel through the earth started to have him concerned as in what else could there be going on outside. There were definitely screams of terror that he could hear. Tomohiro tried to throw off the sound of his dying comrades from his mind. Was this truly what war sounded like? He enjoyed combat as much as the next shinobi, but mass death wasn’t something he was accustomed too.

The semi distraught Tomohiro followed the masked figure to a door on the fourth floor of the complex. They would then knock on the door several times. There was no answer. They tried the door handle to check for any give, but there wasn’t any. Tomohiro nodded at the figure as he would draw his sword and kicked the door down. A kunai was deflected off of his weapon as he stared into the eyes the black eyes of a woman. The aim was definitely to maim whoever was going through the door. It was then that he realized that it was the woman they had been searching for. There was another masked figure in the room that had their arm bandaged up or what was left of it. The wound looked pretty bad and if it were up to him, it would have probably been better to amputate it. The heavily bandaged arm didn’t look like it would make it a few meters without it falling off. Tomohiro was no expert in medical ninjutsu and didn’t really want to say anything. Their were other injured shinobi that were there, but most of them didn’t look like they could be moved. The situation already seemed a bit weird. They all sort of stared at each other. Tomohiro wanted to wait for some type of direction before he would do anything. It was probably best that he sheathed his sword.

“Who are you?” the woman asked.

“I’m Tomohiro Nakir. We met some time ago. That’s not important. We’re here to evacuate you out of the village,” he responded.

“People need help. I can’t just leave them to die.”

“Ma’am, it is of the utmost importance that we get you out. It is a matter of time that this section of the village gets burned too. Gather your things and let’s get going,” the masked man responded.

The woman sighed with a low, “fine,” as she stormed off to get her things. The injured masked man stood up holding his arm. He would then throw his cloak over himself to cover the injury and just nodded to his comrade. Well, it was good to know that their target was in good condition even though the other individual didn’t seem quite as fine. The two masked individuals did not even speak to each other as they waited. Tomohiro was lost for words. He wasn’t sure to ask about their names or to go about talking to them. There was no way they were going to get the rest of them out of there alive. Tomohiro wanted to use his clone technique to get them out of there, but it would be no use. It was either attempted to talk to the hokage or get as many people out as he could. Tomohiro rubbed his chin as he thought through his options. His mind was already set on trying to reason with the hokage. That was going to have to be his final option. It may have probably been the best option he had. He hoped that he could spare as much as he could of the village as he could, but that was probably wishful thinking.

It didn’t take long for the woman to come back. She attempted to get them to grab as many of the injured they could and evacuate them too. Though, the masked men refused. They said that she was their only prerogative. Tomohiro looked at the group with saddened eyes. He really didn’t want to leave them behind, but he didn’t have much choice. He would need to put most of his energy in trying to stop the attack. They began to move to one of the sides of the mountains as Tomohiro was slightly confused at first. After one of the figures knocked on the stone, a passage way opened up. The woman and the injured masked man went first. The other cloaked individual turned around to face Tomohiro as they entered. Tomohiro raised an eyebrow as he wondered what the masked man wanted to say. There was a brief silence before anything was said.

“Tomohiro, you can come with us or you can attempt to do what you can to save the village. If I were you, I would have just abandoned it and let the destruction take its course. Though, I can’t control you or make decisions for you. You proved your worth to me. I watched you from the beginning of the attack. I wouldn’t mind you joining my squad, but that’s neither here nor there. What’s your decision going to be?”

“I’m not even sure. My heart is telling me to attempt to stop the hokage, but another is telling me to help as many people as I can.”

“Maybe talking to the hokage would be the reason for helping others.”

“You’re right. I’ll go hunt down the hokage.”

“Farewell, Tomohiro. I hope we meet again under better circumstances.”

Tomohiro nodded his head as he turned away from the individual. He would run back toward the front of the village to see if he could track down the hokage. Though, he wouldn’t make it far before he noticed the giant monkey that had seemingly carved his way through his comrades. Tomohiro was in shock. He knew that there was nothing that he could do physically. Not only that, there was now a dragon?! He thought they only existed within legends and epics. Tomohiro was intrigued at what stood before him. Never in his life would have thought to see anything close to this. The thought about him talking to do the hokage seemed to be a distant dream. What could he truly do against these massive beast. This was not what he expected to return to. Tomohiro truly understood that he was majorly outclassed. What could he truly do? He took a couple of deep breaths before he started running up toward one of the adjacent mountains that the fighting between Takao and the Lord of Monkeys. The path was mostly in tack and he would just have to maneuver his way around. At the very least, he would attempt to get to a place where he could be seen. Though, he was probably more or less in the way than trying to bridge the gap between them fighting. Tomohiro started to realize that this was probably suicide, but he rather do something than not do anything at all.

Yasubei

Yasubei

C-rank
Citrine eyes, from atop a humble building watched as a titanic figured lumbered through the village creating ever more destruction in its wake as sprinted towards the the Hokage. The hulking ape with unbridled bravado and confidence ran headfirst towards the its quarry faster than the eyes could follow. In but a moment it'd make it to its target and a second impressive figure would be summoned to the battlefield. Normally this would be a condition for Yasu to cut his losses and leave, but with the possibility of the utter destruction of another village or the death of many innocents, Yasu needed to try something, anything.

The building the puppet-nin stood on wasn't particularly spectacular, but offered him a view of the man who, when Takao Kimura arrvied, stood alone against the incoming threat. He watched as he made his way to one of the easiest to see areas in the village. As gears in his head rotated, and his plots began to ferment in his mind, he decided he'd join the Kumo-nin, and would proceed to make his way up the mountain Tomohiro was running up, closer to the fight than he'd like.

"You are quite the aesthetic one," words would come from the kage's mouth in Yasubei's on voice. If Tomohiro, came to a stop or within arms reach the fake kage would reach a hand towards Tomohiro's head in an attempt to pluck out a hair. He'd follow behind Tomohiro, albeit at a much slower pace if the ninja continue to move at full speed.  Just loud enough so that he could be sure Tomohiro could hear him, Yasubei'd imitate the sound of clearing his throat as he'd attempt to sound imitate Daremo's voice with no prior knowledge of what he actually sounded like."That punk down there, wreckin' the village. Even though I look this way, I ain't gonna be able to do much against him. What I can do though, is support you as we convince dude to leave." Yasubei would pause momentarily gauging Tomohiro's response before he continued.

"Lemme match my chakra up to yers. An I can provide you a little bit o' support. Not much, but maybe enough ta make a difference." Yellow eyes would narrow their focus on the man in front of them, and for a moment, Yasubei's totally 100% spot on impression would subside returning from a gravelly bass to a less mature tenor. "Most importantly. Takao wants Daremo's blood. If we give it to him, then at least this village might be saved."

If Tomohiro accepted, Yasubei would simply touch his back attaching puppet strings and send a small amount of chakra into the kumo-warrior's body, continually following behind the warrior if he hadn't stopped moving.  The low baritone voice would return, "You won' be able to rely on me, but I'm a medical ninja of sorts. In a pinch I could even swap places with you, and heal myself afterwards when Takao is out of sight. Sumin' I dun get burnt to ash we might be able to pull somethin' off quite aesthetically." Even without the ability to do anything alone, the Cicada seemingly sought to take the Raikage's mantle by being rather pestilent himself to the aggressors in the hidden cloud. Attentively Yasubei would listen to Tomohiro, if he had any concerns or comments. If the ninja decided he wanted to deal with the problem himself Yasubei would simply back down and regroup.

Kashizudoto

Kashizudoto

S-rank
OOC:
So I've been DMed about some rumors that have apparently been floating around, and I'd like to clarify some things. Yes, I have to go on a hiatus for personal reasons, and I'm not sure when I'll be back. No, it has nothing to do with Warpath, and I have no intention of abandoning the thread. I don't have much time to post, so I will only be able to leave a detailed fight summary rather than a full-on post. When I return, I'll be sure to go back and edit in full-length posts. DM me if you have any questions about my fight post, and I'll try to reply as quick as possible.

There's another rumor I'd like to clear up, because apparently some people have been going around saying this. No, I am not becoming Raikage. I'm not sure how some people got this idea. Sorry.

Fight Summary

Kashizudoto, with his hawk still perched upon his shoulder. activates his Monkey Sage Mode as Takao disappears, heightening his reflexes. Lord Hanuman can sense Takao through three means - his senjutsu passive radius, the air currents, and the fact that he is running across his own body. He yells, "Kashi, behind you!" as he realizes who Takao is running towards.

Kashizudoto then activates his jutsu Wrath of the Dancing Blade, pumping in 50 extra chakra into it as per its senjutsu ability for a total of 90,  and turns around, pointing his left arm, which contains the Dansuburedo and the loaded kunai Saruteru, forwards. With his senjutsu passive radius, heightened by his Monkey Sage Mode, Kashizudoto can sense when Takao enters the radius and points the blade towards where he detects his life force, though he can't actually see him because Lord Hanuman's neck is in the way.

Meanwhile, with the dragon preoccupied with attempting to hold down his arms and doing nothing about his legs, Lord Hanuman delivers a strike with his knee using the force of his Majestic Rampage, a blow capable of completely depleting the dragon's chakra reserves to nil.

Takao's Rasenshuriken cuts into Lord Hanuman's neck, but its damage is reduced by one full rank because of Lord Hanuman's Monkey Sage Mode ability (keep in mind that Lord Hanuman's Monkey Sage Mode is different from Kashi's), and when he sees the blades of wind first cut through Hanuman's neck, Kashizudoto fires his Dansuburedo at them at a speed of 555 m/s (300 m/s base speed + 200 m/s from Wrath of the Dancing Blade + 55 m/s from the Saruteru's Blessing of the Monkey God) in order to suck the Rasenshuriken, before any explosion could occur, into the Saruteru and seal it as per Wrath of the Dancing Blade's effect. With the Wrath of the Dancing Blade's auto homing, he sets the blade loose to chase after Takao

Personal Abilities: Nature's Blend, Nature's Friend, Blessing of the Monkey God
Ninja Ability: The Invisible Flame

Dansuburedo, the Dancing Blade:
Name: Dansuburēdo, the Dancing Blade
Classification: Offensive/Supplementary/Catalyst
Weapon Style: Kunai Launcher
Rank: S
Elemental Alignment: N/A
Quantity: 1
Primary function: The Dansuburēdo is a launcher connected to an arm bracer that functions through a complex pulley system composed of a 240m long metal chain, which can shatter bone upon impact. A kunai, sold separately, can be attached to the other end of the metal chain of the launcher.

Controlling the internal pulley system by pulling a trigger on the palm of their bracer, the user can launch the kunai for up to 240m, the base length of the chain, and pull it back at the same speed by pulling the trigger in the opposite direction. The base speed of the launcher is 300 m/s. Using the same pulley system, the user may also propel themselves forwards and backwards along the chain, at the same speed as the launcher itself, granted that the kunai is piercing through a stable surface.
Ability Slots:
Catalyst (Catalyst) - The Dansuburedo and its system can be used as a catalyst for techniques.

Lubricated System (Item Ability) - The internal pulley system has been lubricated, increasing the launcher's speed by an additional 120 m/s, and the links of the chain can stretch out by an additional 120m.

Wrath of the Dancing Blade:
Name: Wrath of the Dancing Blade
Origin: Kashizudoto
Rank: S
Type: Offensive/Supplementary [Defensive Sealing Technique Variant]
Element: N/A
Range: Kunai
Specialty: Fuuinjutsu | Ninjutsu | Senjutsu (optional)
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: N/A
Hand Seals: Pull trigger on the Dansuburēdo in a special sequence (Left -> Right -> Left -> Down -> Left -> Up)
Description: [This technique costs 40 chakra to cast and requires the S-rank Dansuburedo as a catalyst.] This technique creates an aura around the launcher and its kunai, augmenting the launcher's speed by 200 m/s and allowing it to suck in at the same speed, effectively nullifying, techniques of equal rank or lower that it comes into contact with which do not match or exceed its own chakra composition, defensive or otherwise. If the kunai has an item ability that allows for jutsu to be sealed within it and there is room for more jutsu, then the jutsu sucked in by this effect are sealed; otherwise, they are destroyed.

The first person that the kunai hits will find their chakra drained by five times the amount of chakra that has been invested into this technique.  The kunai, being able to feel the chakra around it, will have autonomous homing and will chase after the user's target for as far as the length of the chain itself.

[Senjutsu]

If the user uses senjutsu chakra for this technique, the kunai is infused with nature energy and feels that instead of normal chakra when it is autonomously homing, and the user may channel additional chakra into it at any time during its duration, which increases the amount of chakra that is drained and the potency of its chakra composition when interacting with techniques. The chakra is paid for as if it were its own senjutsu technique, meaning that supplying ten additional chakra, for example, will cost five senjutsu chakra and five normal chakra.

Kisei

Kisei

B-rank
Two very distinct and parallel futures mirrored each other on the line Kisei tread.

What they both shared in common was the surprise dragon that apparated out of thin space to pin down the monkey. Before that my puppet and pinwheel combination attack had proved ineffective so I had pulled them back towards me. Though upon the arrival of the dragon was a shocker, the surprise of the second giant beast stopping my assault before I could fire my two umbrella rounds. From there the paths diverged.

If some how the expanding rasengan was able to be stopped before the expansion consumed everything then I would move forward at half my maximum flight speed, cutting the distance in the middle point so that I could more closely see the action, while giving me some leeway in case an attack was sent in my direction. "Master-" ah, I shuddered to call Takao that, even in combat my priorities were in order. As I inched forward I had sealed my puppet while holding the umbrella with one hand and the pinwheel with the other. First thing's first, I needed to get rid of the beast. From my position I would quickly click my umbrella while chakra flowed through it, blasting out a lightning fast shot, before sending my pinwheel forward with a slash. Interchanging between those two weapons, blast and slash, blast and slash. Until I had clicked the umbrella blaster six times, and blood poured out my mouth.

On the other hand...

If the jutsu had not been dissolved and the expanding explosion had been allowed to go off. Kisei would back off minimally as fast as he could. Thankfully, because he was right at the edge of the blast radius, Kisei was able to pull himself and his weapons back just out of the rotary ball of destruction. The sound of howling wind consuming all noise for a split second before the jutsu disappeared. My single working eye scanned the landscape, marveling at the spiralling patterns covering the entire mountain and extending to the ground below. Suddenly I was feeling very small, in this battle, however I wouldn't be dissuaded. Looking at the giant monkey I could see the injuries it had sustained from the attack. While perhaps they were not lethally injured, the wounds were visible on the great ape were large enough to see from my distance. "Alright if I can provide some cover fire, maybe I could weaken or distract it enough for Takao to land a finishing blow."

Before I let loose and fired, I quickly sealed both my puppet and pinwheel. Then took my aim. "Watch out my Lord!" I called out. As I carefully aimed at the monkey and clicked the umbrella hooked between my legs furiously while I poured a massive amount of chakra through it.

One, two clicks, over and over again.

But as I pulled the trigger the sixth time, and sent a burst of chakra through my body to maintain my flight. A surge of something else flew up my throat. Flooding my mouth with the familiar rust of fresh red blood. Without a second thought I spit the red out of my mouth and wiped the leftovers with the inside of my arm. My vision was starting to get cloudy and my body was beginning to feel heavy, even despite knowing that this jutsu left me weightless.

In either case, if the beasts had finally fallen and it was clear I would fly over towards Takao at a more moderate speed until I was face to face with my Hokage, still floating in the air. Despite the worn and chakra exhausted condition I was in a smile would form at my face. Takao was near unrecognizable in this form, tail, molten dragon exoskeleton and all. That chakra, that presence was still their. Engulfed with wrath and pain, but still somewhat there.

"heya. you've been busy huh?" I'd pose, to the Hokage. "tired yet? how about we go home?" And with that I extended a hand to him as I landed just a meter in front of him. Though, if he'd take it, more than just a handshake was going to meet him.

Chiaki

Chiaki

A-rank
Chiaki was taken to the medical camp, which is to say a couple of hastily thrown together tents with a heap of medical supplies in the middle. They were transported there by two burly people, one a man who was sitting on a box labeled “antiseptic” along with a woman who had no less than ten boxed strapped to her back, all in a bundle and was nodding at where to put them. The man was sitting on the box, watching out towards where the battle was happening, a look of apprehension or perhaps eagerness written on his face as he stared out at the battlefield. His eyes were a yellowish grey, his beard the color of bright flames.

He had a crooked mouth, she had no idea why she thought it was crooked, but she thought it all the same. The hair on the top of his head didn’t match the tip of his beard, and it seemed to blend from a ruddy brown all the way to the color of a red-hot ember at the tip of his beard. Chiaki looked at his muscles, wound in tight knots all over his body, barely held in by the skin on his exposed arms. He had calluses on the outsides of his arms, and on his knuckles, and Chiaki assumed that he used some sort of hand to hand boxing style to stave off an attack from the enemy. He was about six foot tall, and his build was that of a refrigerator. Each movement of his was like a boulder moving, ungraceful, heavy, meaningful. He was as much a force of nature as Takao was, but more in a physical way, rather than in a jutsu user way. The man was tanned, probably due to his training, or perhaps it was his hobbies that kept him that way, and Chiaki could tell that he was used to wearing sunglasses, but the time of day did not lend itself to wearing sunglasses. He kept his hair cropped short, but his beard extended well past his adams apple and with each movement it wasn’t stiff like other beard hair but flowed like well kept head hair. She wondered, idly, what conditioner he used to keep his beard in that condition.

Chiaki’s gaze wandered to the Kunoichi, who nodded along as a doctor gave her set instructions and pointed around in a hurried manner. If he was stone, she was water. Her muscles didn’t jut out like his did, but rather wound in a tight way around the bones, making her seem skinnier than she was. She had the quintessential six pack that all taijutsu users had, but hers wasn’t a brazen washboard of muscle, it was subtle, gentle, and each time she moved her head and the burden shifted on her back, it moved in a sensuous manner to grip and strain against the load. She had teal hair, Chiaki couldn’t guess if it was her natural hair color because she had plucked out most of her eyebrows and hand drawn some in to hide her natural color. The hair was cut short, like the man’s but was styled so that it stuck up to the right in a flirtatious manner, calling out to everyone that she liked fun. She had fingerless gloves on both hands and had opted for short shorts and a sports bra to work in, showing off her enviable physique. Chiaki certainly envied it. Her body was smooth, smooth like an untainted and slow moving river, and as the doctor pointed out each spot to put the boxes, she would nod in as fluid a motion as she had, unruffled by the series of harsh commands coming from the clearly panicked and hurried doctor.

They were ninja, probably taijutsu users, who had been recruited to take care of the supply runs, and right now they were needed for medical supplies more than anything else. She didn’t recognize either of them. They were probably going to be here for a good long while, and would be tasked with both getting more supplies and rounding up the wounded that could still be saved.

The woman set Chiaki’s butt against a pole, grabbing the back of her head and right shoulder gently with cupped hands and brought Chiaki’s face up to look at her, straight in her eyes. Pulling at her cheekbone, the woman that had saved Chiaki from herself looked at her as a doctor would. Right now she was checking to see if her eyes were incorrectly dilated, whether she was about to pass out, she was guessing, and instead Chiaki took this chance to turn it on her. Her brain was registering more than her body would react to, and Chiaki found herself staring into the pools of the medical kunoichi’s eyes.

The Kunoichi before her was in good health, no jaundice to speak of, her eyes were dilating per usual with no signs of stroke or anything serious. The kunoichi let her head go and went to her wrist, finding the artery there, she placed the first two fingers on it and started counting.

Taking her pulse, well, she was sitting down at that time, but her pulse would be abnormally fast. The kunoichi was dressed in leaf chuunin garb, identifying her easily as a shinobi of the hidden leaf. She didn’t need the forehead band that tied back shoulder length blonde hair in a high pony tail.

Chiaki looked out over the battlefield slowly. She saw the giant ape now, though only his shoulders were visible from her standpoint, and something was streaking across the giant ape’s arm. Just as suddenly there was a dragon and the sounds of war drowned out any explosions or the like that came from the battlefield, as the jutsu that were going off around her were loud enough to drown them out. She took this chance, also, to look around.

There was a lightning jutsu here, the effects severed the attacking shinobi’s legs from them and they dropped to the ground like a ragdoll, the wounds didn’t even bleed until they were on the ground. The other shinobi was attacked by a boulder. It was strangely surreal, as they didn’t move until they had been almost completely consumed by the boulder and then they flew off a couple meters, the boulder landing on top of them, creating a splatter and leaving behind a minced corpse.

So this was war.

She looked back to the medical kunoichi, who smiled at her, “Seems like you have chakra exhaustion. I wouldn’t perform any more jutsu unless you absolutely have to at this point.” She tucked a stray hair behind her ear and smiled at Chiaki, who mirrored it, not knowing what else to do, “If you want to help out in a bit, just let us know and we’ll put you to work.”

Chiaki nodded and looked out at the battlefield, her vision unfocusing as she leaned back against the pole. The whole of the medical camp was being set up, and she watched it, rather than help, numbed by her experience before.

It took a good five minutes for her body to start reacting to her brain’s signals to move, to get up, to make the world a better place. She grit her teeth and stood, her muscles were already tired, and she strained to get up. Standing on wobbly legs, she stumbled into the first tent.

A small man with a long black beard looked out at her and motioned her over with his hand. He had eyes the color of chocolate and skin the color of caramel. He smelled of cinnamon and vanilla and his voice was deep and soothing, “Hello, I am doctor Saito.” He bowed his head a bit, “I assume you’re here to help?”

Chiaki nodded, swallowed and almost bit her tongue as she started to speak, “Guanyin, Chiaki, third medical Kunoichi of the second medical corps.” She managed to give him a shaky smile.

“Chakra exhaustion.” The doctor nodded, “I’ve seen it before. We won’t make you do any jutsu then, but I could use some help. I have to sort through these medical supplies and also treat patients. Could you take care of this for me, while I go and see to the patients coming in?”

Chiaki nodded, a grateful smile replacing the shaky one already there.

“That’s a good girl.” The doctor patted her on the shoulder as he left and she started to sort through the supplies. There was mainly paper products in this crate, and when she was done sorting and putting supplies on the cart, the cart was taken from her by another shinobi, this one minus an arm. The arm looked like it had received medical attention with a jutsu. The shinobi noticed her looking and turned away, turning a bright red color and tears brimmed in their eyes. Ah, so a new wound then. One that would impact their career.

Chiaki nodded, wondering if she was the lucky one here, wondering if she was making a big deal of nothing.

The next crate had metal supplies, and the next had medicines in vials. With each cart she loaded, the shinobi before came back and wheeled it to its destination. When she had no more crates, and the last cart left, she stood there for a good while Perhaps an hour, perhaps a couple minutes, staring inward.

Her feet shuffled and she looked around after pushing her way through the front of the tent. The battle still raged all around her, but she dare not look at what was going on. She went to the next tent.

TLDR: Chiaki's trying to help without the use of Chakra, benumbed by the battles and duels raging around her.

Takao

Takao

S-rank
Warpath. D6ehE4O

Eyes of shimmering incandescence glowering like molten lava behind the eyes of his Sage Mode's earthen helm watched every move that Kashizudoto made from within the mouth of his summon, the 'Lord of Monkeys'. His eyes trailed the form of the small blade as it cut through the neck of Hanuman, just like his Rasenshuriken had, and consumed the volatile construct of dense chakra.

By the time the blade had set its sights on him, Takao had already exhaled a bated breath. Flames erupted from the maw of his helm and were not permitted to grow to their full extent by the incoming kunai, however, it was not Takao's intention to attack Hanuman or Kashizudoto with the technique. Instead, as the flames left with his breath, they would attack the technique placed upon the kunai, nullify it, and allow the weapon to crash uselessly into the dense barrier of uninhabitable heat that shrouded Takao.

His rage had peaked and was on a steady decline now, yet it hardly showed on the surface. His snarling, lava-dripping helm of molten earth presented a visage of twisted, burning anger and it showed no signs of slowing. Deep, guttural growls build in his throat, more beast than man, growing louder and louder until finally, he belts a dense, powerful roar.

Briefly, his gaze is drawn to Kisei who speaks to him, and he thinks better than to attack, knowing a familiar face. The growl rolls in his throat, merely idling in preparation to belt out another. Instead, he takes a heavy step closer, thrusts his hand against Kisei's chest, and imparts his 'Will of Fire' unto him.

Through his Will of Fire, Takao grants Kisei his 'Divine Judgment Flames', imparting him with the powerful boons of the technique. He has not so far gone that he'd forgotten all whom he meant to protect, but their presence would not be enough to sate his bloodlust. One man alone could halt it.

"LEAVE." His rumbling, enraged tones sounded more like several people speaking at once than it did his single, lone voice, but they spoke in unison to be comprehensible.

Takao turned and his legs tensed, then erupted from where he once stood. His burst of speed took him close enough to Hanuman's face. Behind the mask, crimson eyes widened and strained. 'Penance Stare' shot forth, unhindered by Hanuman's Majestic Rampage, and heading straight for Kashizudoto directly with the intention to cook him from the inside out.

One powerful thrust of Geni'zo's wings kept it well out of the reach of the Monkey King's fruitless attempt at a kick. Torrential gales of wind tore through the valleys of the Hidden Cloud, uprooting everything that wasn't fastened, tearing roofs off buildings, shattering windows, and kicking up a sea of dust and debris below. Each flap of the massive wings effortlessly kept Geni'zo in the air, and sent new waves of destructive tempests cascading through the Hidden Cloud's valleys and mountains.

Activation: Hand Seals (Tiger)
Description: The Will of Fire is a technique whose namesake stems from the Hidden Leaf's iconic ideology. The user must make physical contact with the target, and where contact is made, the spiraling flame iconography used to denote the Will of Fire appears.

The mark of the Will of Fire can grant its effect to a maximum of two targets. This mark's effects are twofold; firstly, the mark acts as an origin point for the caster's techniques, allowing them to cast jutsu through the mark. Secondly, this mark allows techniques that effect the user to replicate their effects onto the marked target without the target suffering the drawbacks of that technique, forcing the user to withstand the consequence of their technique, but allowing the user to buff allies or extend defensive jutsu onto them. The extended techniques do not gain additional interactions, and still interact collectively as a single technique.
Name: Fire Release: Penance Stare (Katon: Kunō no gyōshi ~ 火遁・苦悩の凝視)
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Element: Fire Release
Range: 10m Radius
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: 1 post
Description: Penance Stare is a fire release technique that does not utilize hand seals, but instead requires line of sight with their target within in a 10-meter radius from the user, and for the user to have Ibugan active. Once these requirements have been met, the user extends chakra from their eyes at 80m/s toward what they are looking at, and transfers volatile fire nature chakra into their opponent. Upon doing so, the target will begin to violently cook from the inside out, inflicting devastating minor fourth degree burns across their entire body, including the internal organs. Penance Stare penetrates the first technique that it comes into contact with and ignores the interaction, continuing on unhindered. If the technique collides with multiple, layered techniques, then it will penetrate and negate the newest first.
Summary:
Takao negates 'Wrath of the Dancing Blade' using 'Divine Supernova', and the unenhanced weapon is defended against by Devouring Judgment Flames. When(If) Kisei approaches, he puts a 'Will of Fire' seal on him and casts another instance of 'Devouring Judgment Flames' onto him. Afterward, he uses 'Penance Stare' to ignore the interaction with 'Majestic Rampage' and attack Kashizudoto directly.

Tomohiro

B-rank
Tomohiro halted his position as he attempted to analyze how he should handle this situation. It seemed to him that he would be more in the way than anything else. As he previously moved into position, he felt a tug on his hair as he noticed someone behind him. He wasn’t sure of who he was and he didn’t want to withdrawal his weapon toward an ally. Tomohiro raised an eyebrow towards the figure as it spoke to him. It was then that he figured that the guy was an ally. It gave him some relief that he wasn’t going to go at this alone. Though, he wasn’t sure of the man’s abilities and more importantly motives of why he would be willing to assist. There was some mental conflict within himself. He knew there wasn’t a lot of time to address his concerns. Only a brief sigh would cross the plane of his lips as he attempted to mull over the dire position his village was in.

“Alright, I appreciate your help. Just doing what you can is all that I can ask you to do.”

Tomohiro would allow the man to attach the chakra strings to him. He still wasn’t sure of how he was going to intervene. The fight between the giant sage monkey and Takao seemed to be getting quite heated. He hoped that the man was in better shape to take on this enemy of his village. Tomo wasn’t aware of what he was going to be useful for. He was truly losing any faith in attempting to save the village. It may have been better off just giving up altogether.

“Well, do your worse,” he said to the stranger.

C-rank
As the two ninja stood at the precipice of the spire Yasubei would eagerly place the hair into a little vial he'd procure from the inside of the white cloak he was donning. What was a trivial thing to most people, Yasu would spend days of research on. He planned to do the same thing with the hair sample he just took, assuming he didn't die here. Just as quickly as he'd pulled it out he'd sequester it away in the fake kage mantle once more to a safe pocket until he had the time and equipment to use it again. Yasubei would place five fingers on Tomohiro's back, one by one, attaching chakra strings to the ninja's body with each tap.

“Alright, I appreciate your help. Just doing what you can is all that I can ask you to do.”

The fakekage would gaze down as the titans collided in the village proper. "Don't misunderstand, those aren't my tax dollars down there." Yasubei would simply hold the hat atop his head as great gusts ripped through the city below. The dramatic power of each of these behemoth's movements sundering the city below. The two stood above the fighting konoha-nin the echoes of the gales below caused alabaster hair to whip in the wind as vitrolic yellow eyes rose from the fight below to meet Tomohiro's gaze.

“Well, do your worse,”

Looking down at the fight below the fakekage would slap Tomohiro on the back activating the substitution technique on him. "Don't worry. If you can  get his attention we can swap places." Yasu would think back to the Hokage's words just moments ago. "I'm willing to bet that if he thinks he's killed his target, he'll stop rampaging. Now get in there, I'm sure you'll figure something out, unless of course the skills that I've heard Kumo-nin possess are purely skin deep."

If he'd incited the swordsman to action, he'd be just behind him maneuvering to stay within range of his puppet strings technique. Corpses, debris, and collapsed would make themselves into foot holds as they moved forward under Yasu's command.

My heart rate exploded when Takao suddenly surged past my extended hand, and placed a molten claw on my chest. My plan to send him away with a transferred bodyflicker technique vanished from my mind as both heat, embarassment and fear all boomed in the same moment. Looking down at myself I so see my body now wrapped in the same flames that engulfed Takao. My eyes widened in confusion, mostly because I was half sure that any second now I’d be reduced to a ball of ash, but to my great pleasure, I was still whole. “T… Takao?” I asked hesitantly, what came back to me was a mess of voices that echoed off eachother; telling me to flee. Then, before I could go through with my plan or do anything else, Takao had leapt back into the battle. While I want to protest and scream back at my Hokage to come back down here so I could drag them back home, but I.. I knew they were right. My chakra reserves were so low, I actually wasn’t sure if my original plan was even able to be done; without killing myself with chakra zero sum. Looking around, it was clear: I had done nothing. I’ve failed both myself, the village hidden in the clouds, and most importantly Takao. I was unable to restrain him from this, nor hold him away from this village, there was nothing else that I could do here.

“Alright Takao, you win.” I said solemnly. Forming an untraceable line of hand seals my body started to vibrate, the sight of the battlefield I had fled before to come here starting to replace what I was in front of me. “But we’ll talk later.”

With a stream of tears rolling down my impassive face, I blinked out of the burning mountains. Opening them up to the chilling land of frost, much to the surprise of my follow Root members, who had finished up their respective missions and started to head out. I was bombarded with a bunch of questions but I brushed them all off and made my way back towards Konoha, flying through the sky with increased speed thanks to Takao’s assistance. Rippa was right, there were more powerful people in this world than him, and this battle proved that I still had a long way to go.

Chiaki

Chiaki

A-rank
Chiaki’s blue eyes scanned the next tent, her navy hair billowing in the draft that came from the other end of the tent. Her eyes held no emotion, only scanning the crowd of hospital beds, some resting on rocks, some on pieces of discarded wood, a couple were on kunai and bedpans, enough to make them stable and level. They were all full, and with each passing moment, she could hear more people being run into the camp. There was one person trying to help those in this tent. It was a small woman, about five to six inches taller than Chiaki herself, not much in the way to look at, with brown hair, brown eyes, a tanned complexion, and whiter than white teeth as she smiled at Chiaki, “Ah, some help from the medical corps.”

“I have chakra exhaustion, so I cannot weave any hand seals though.” Chiaki said plainly, her voice hollow and her actions mechanical as she shut the tent flap behind her and walked towards the woman, her eyes on the patient being treated.

“He’s in critical condition, could you help me with this procedure?” She asked, a bit of sweat dripping down her face, it seemed like she wasn’t trained to do this. Well, none of them were, if Chiaki were being honest. Sometimes the best way to test a person’s mettle, and someone's knowledge was to throw them into a situation. She looked between the woman and the patient before rubbing hand sanitizer over her hands and putting on gloves. The woman took that as a yes, and Chiaki’s face felt unfamiliar to her. She felt tired, her eyelids drooped, and she felt like her muscles were made of sand. Still, once she got on the gloves, she looked at the doctor.

“What do you want me to do, Doctor?” she asked, “I am ready to assist in the procedure.”

“First I am going to tell you what is going on.” The doctor nodded as she worked, pulling back a piece of flesh with forceps. “Vertebral fracture from an explosive injury to the patient’s spinal column.” She nodded, looking back and taking a tool she dug out a piece of the bone, expertly, Chiaki noticed, and continued, “and while penetrating explosive spine wounds are not treated by operation, a vertebral fracture is. This patient has both. In a smaller number of patients with penetrating injury of the thoracolumabr spine and unstable fracture, debridement and fusion with or without spinal decompression are indicated.” She pointed to his leg, which looked like it had been blown partially off, “I need you to amputate the right leg of the patient, as an explosive wound to the leg and his medial left thigh and also, as you can see his hand was also caught in the explosion, damaging the distal phalanx of the index finger of the right hand.” She looked at the part she was working on, “I am working on his lumbosacral spine while he is under local anasthesia but we have to hurry or he will wake up and die from shock. There is O neg blood already in the transfusion bags, you will also be handling that while I do the delicate work here with the spine.”

Chiaki nodded and started her work, the doctor talked all the while that she got out the bone saw and started to hack through the leg, the tissue and bone separating under her precise and heavy sawing movements, “We don’t want him to be develop a purulent fistula as the foreign body could kill him in his old age, but he won’t be a shinobi anymore.” The doctor spoke like someone who had seen this many times over, and as she dug the foreign bodies out, she seemed to be more interested than annoyed, grossed out, or anything else. She seemed… like a machine. A well oiled medical machine.

Another person entered through the tent and started work on the other side of the room while the two women worked, “When you are done amputating the leg we will have to rotate the patient so that he is lying in the prone position. We also might have to put him under general anasthesia, I am sure that you know how to administer that?” Chiaki had read up on it, but she hadn’t ever done it before. She expressed this and the doctor said, “No problem,” She moved to his hand and started to amputate the finger slowly, so as to make sure that she didn’t remove any more than she had to. Chiaki hacked away for a while at the leg until she finally got through. Taking a bit of the skin from the thigh of that leg, the bit that wasn’t completely dead or charred, she took a scalpel and pried the hypodermal layer of the leg off in a size that would fit over the open wound and sutured it to the leg, making sure that she used small stitches. The shinobi wouldn’t thank her for her treatment later, but she couldn’t let him die of infection either, and she had no more chakra to help.

Gritting her teeth she looked up to the doctor, her senses were returning to her, the hurt she felt for the shinobi was real. The doctor gave her a smile and pointed to the general anesthesia, “I’ll walk you through it while I turn the patient.” She started to take the patient and roll them with the sheet that was on the bed, the disposable paper. He was heavy for her, but she was doing it gingerly and expertly, “What you are going to want to do is make sure that the patient is alright with the amount of blood that they currently have,” Chiaki looked and indeed the blood bag had been expended and she placed a new blood bag on there, tapping it to get the drip going again. “and then you are going to want to take the arm that doesn’t currently have the IV for the blood in it and insert another IV. Because the patient is prone, we will have to sedate them using the intravenal general sedative that we have.” Chiaki nodded and went over to the medicine cabinet, retrieving the sedative and hung it on the IV cart beside the blood.

Taking the patient’s arm, she prodded it to see where a suitable vein would be, and finding one, she stuck the needle in expertly. She had practiced her phlebotomy when she was in the hospital, and so she knew exactly how deep she had to go for this part. The next bit was to tape it to the patient’s arm, then wrapped it in gauze so that it wouldn’t wiggle its way out of the patient. She hooked up the push tab to the general anesthetic and watched as the doctor left for a bit to clean up the utensils she was using. “We will need to wait for approximately five minutes before he is completely under for that. Otherwise he might kick, squirm, or otherwise harm himself during the operation.”

Chiaki nodded and the doctor pointed at a patient with her forehead next to where Chiaki was currently, “Could you please go to the next patient and tend to their wounds?” It was a simple request, but Chiaki knew why the doctor was making it, it was to keep her off of the doctor’s back, and more importantly out of her way. It was not every day that a doctor like her had come to the battlefield, but she seemed hardened, deadened to the sounds, smells, and voices around her. It seemed like all of her energy was contained within the small medical tent, and that was where it would stay.

She went to the next patient and looked at her wondering if she was going to be alright. Then she shook herself and knew that she would be, if Chiaki were to be good enough. The doctor was already going over to suture up someone else. Chiaki disposed of her bloody gloves, washed her hands in the portable sink, dried them and put on new sterile gloves to go and check on the patient. She first looked at the wounds that she was dealing with. There was moderate bleeding in the left temporal region which was seeping out of a round shaped injury with a 1 cm diameter, irregularly edged. Multiple irregular shaped injuries, when she took off the patient’s shirt and looked at the wounds, were in her left anerolateral chest, each was around .5 cm to 2 cm in diameter. She looked at the woman and wondered how she was alive. First she took antiseptic bandages and applied them to the chest and temporal wounds, and took her pulse and respirations as she calmed the patient, who was gasping, and had completely gone blank and numb in expression. She wasn’t close to death, but she was definitely out of it.

She had a non perforating skull and brian injury which was keeping her from feeling pain, with an entrance hole in the squamous part of the left temporal bone. Areas of increased density of brain parenchyma were seen in the temporal lobe when Chaiki examined it with a flashlight, peeling away the bandage and letting the blood seep from the wound. And there was also brain parenchyma along the injury of the canal, and Chiaki would have to work quickly to keep the patient from hemorrhaging or contusing. She moved quickly and with precision to spread local anaesthetic and antiseptic to the non-vital areas of the patient’s wound before moving to the chest and peeled back the bandages, inspecting each wound as she did with the head wound.

Once she had inspected the chest and head she placed the bandages back and thought for a time. This would actually have to take precedence over the man on the table. “Can you handle him now?” Chiaki asked the doctor and the doctor nodded, “I don’t think we can save her dear, if you would like to put her under for the time being, make her passing better?” The doctor said, a cursory look over the patient. It seemed like she had already given up, and indeed, walked on like she had. Perhaps she was right, but… but something nagged at the forefront of Chiaki’s mind like a gnat in her eyelashes. Shaking herself out of her half stupor she looked around the tent, looking for something there.

“I think I might be able to get the shrapnel out, do you have a magnet on you?” The doctor shook her head, and Chiaki looked around. On one of the metal cabinets she found a neodymium magnet, holding up a patient chart. Walking over, she snatched this up and nodded to herself. Perhaps this would come in handy, if the fragments in the patient were at all susceptible to magnets. Chiaki peeled aside the head bandage once more and the blood and lymph seeped out onto the cart that the woman was laying on. Chiaki put her hand on the woman’s chest, as she stared straight ahead. Head wounds couldn’t be sedated. She was sorry that she had to do this but she had determined that the patient had a penetrating multi fragmental craniocerebral injury with at least three foreign bodies of metallic or bone density, perhaps chakra infused doton as well, in her temporal lobe parenchyma and focal temporal lobe contusions and intracerebral haematomas.

This was more important than the other things that she had been able to see, which was that the patient suffered from a penetrating heart injury with a foreign body in the myocardium, left lung contusion, and left sided hemopneumothorax. While the respiration was vesicular, at least it was regular enough for her not to worry about the haemopneumothorax that the patient suffered from. As for the penetrating heart injury, the head injury was more serious at the moment.

The patient started to seize as soon as she started to work and she asked for some help. Two brawny ninja came in and assisted her with holding the patient down while she put the bandage back on her head. She would have to make sure that she got that out when the patient was stable again. As soon as the patient’s seizures were no longer a factor, she started a blood transfusion, like the man on the table next to her had, running the line into the patient’s vein and keeping her stable with the use of restraints, should she start to seize again. The two ninja started to take their leave when Chiaki called after them, “Could one of you stay just in case she starts to seize again, please?”

The woman stayed, while the man went off to roam around the camp again. The woman was instructed by Chiaki to sit next to the patient and Chiaki put a cloth under the patient’s head, taking out the magnet, she placed it at the entrance to the wound, seeing if any of the shrapnel within the intracerebral tissue would be susceptible to her treatment. Pulling it away and frowning she stuck it to the underside of the table and growled. Of course it wasn’t going to be that easy. First she applied a dilator the outer part of the wound, pulling apart the viscera to show the skull underneath. The patient’s eyes went wide and her fingers clenched at this. “I know it hurts, but don’t let it get the better of you. You’re a Kunoichi. You’re stronger than this.” Chiaki looked down, saw that this was a kunoichi of the village hidden in the clouds, “You need to fight on for the sake of Kumogakure.” The doctor behind her, was she letting patients go that were from kumogakure on purpose?

As she took out some all spec tweezers and held a flashlight in her mouth, pointing the light at the wound and moving it around with her lips and tongue to get a better view inside. First came the ventral wound that was in the craniocerebral tissue. She put in the tweezers and hearing a click she wrapped the tweezers around it, and pulled, it snugged against some of the tissue inside and she wiggled it a bit, moving the bruising tissue out of the way of the sharp fragment. After pulling out one of the pieces successfully the patient relaxed visibly, she wasn’t done yet though. Inserting the tweezers another two times, she was successful with her treatment of the shrapnel wound. She took the dilator out and cut around the burned and already torn pieces of flesh, before suturing up the wound in a star-like pattern.

She was glad that she had moved from the head to the heart as now she instructed the ninja to grab the general anesthetic and as she was looking over the wounds, Chiaki administered the general anesthetic as she did on the other patient. She moved on to the Thoracotomy which was needed in order to reach the penetrating heart injury and foreign body in the patient’s myocardium. She would have to do this while the patient was still waiting for the general anesthesia to work, as time was of the essence, and nails ground themselves on the metal table underneath the woman as she worked. Chiaki pulled apart the thoracotomy wounds she created with the scalpel with clamps and kept them open, deflated the lung, and took out the part of the lung that was too badly damaged and hemorrhaging to work. Placing this part of the lung on the table, she sutured up the wound with self-dissolving sutures. She then reinflated the lung using a tubule, and the patient fell asleep under the general anesthesia. While she was performing the atypical resection of the superior lobe of the left lung and suturing it up, she found a .5 cm hole on the posterolateral wall of the left ventricle. She took a pair of suture grippers and sutured this shut with a U shaped seam. It was a good thing that it wasn’t in need of an artificial gasket.

Chiaki moved through the rest of the chest cavity, finding no less than 18 foreign bodies while the patient’s chest was open, and closed all wounds internally using self-dissolving sutures. Finally, the entrance wound that she performed with the scalpel to perform the thoracotomy was sewn shut and she sat back, wiping sweat off of her brow, getting viscera and blood over her forehead.

She grinned at the doctor, who had moved on to the next four patients that she had been treating and the doctor smiled back.

“You can go now, I believe that she is stable.” She said to the ninja that was across from her, who nodded as she left the tent.

Chiaki went on to treat some other minor wounds, most requiring little to no treatment, but more rest than anything. Some sutures here and there, but none as invasive or life threatening as the procedure that she had the woman endure.

Chiaki left the tent as a child was run on a gurney into a tent. The child was clutching at their chest and leg. There were holes where doton had punctured them, an indiscriminate jutsu used in his vicinity probably. Their lung had collapsed, and Chiaki could tell that there was damage to the pleural tissue without even treating the kid and knew that he was dying.

Running into the tent, the child was crying out in agony, pulling at the sleeves of the shinobi who brought him in there, he was scared, and pain and fear tore at his soul as the shinobi grabbed an empty gurney and started to make another journey out to the field. Chiaki took the small child’s hand in her own and she looked at his face. “I am Guanyin Chiaki, What’s your name?” She asked the child, he smiled at her and said, “Tam, Tam Tokohashi.” She smiled and held his hand, “I am going to try to heal you Tam.” She closed her eyes, tears streamed down her cheeks as he wiped them away with a shaky hand, a cold hand. She wasn’t going to let him die No, Not another one.

She wove Ram, boar, snake, snake, boar and the thread leapt into her hands and she held it up for the child to see, but as she opened her eyes she stared at his, they were glossing over and his breathing was becoming more shallow. “I need an MTP STAT!” Chiaki shouted out the tent, the flap was open and people were milling about, one or two were standing, staring in awe at the giant beasts fighting. “MTP STAT!” she screamed, placing her fingers to the boy’s chest, the sutures leapt out and attempted to sew the wound shut. They fizzled out of life, their bright teal color fading into a darker teal before they unravelled. The wounds were to grevious.

“Don’t cry miss, I am going to see my parents. They were both ninja of Kumogakure.” The child put his hand back on her cheeks as she wove hand signs again, her chakra burning inside of her, her reserves dangerously low.

“No, I won’t let you die, You’ll see. I’ll keep you alive and-” The child’s beath was ragged and his eyes were misted over.

“I’ll see them, there’s no need for tears or for you to worry, miss. I’ll tell them that you were kind.”

“No damnit!” she wove the hand seals and concentrated, concentrated hard, harder than she had her entire life and touched the child’s body, the chakra leapt out of her fingers and fizzled before it even got to the wound. The child’s arm was still out, supported by the impromptu hospital bed gurney that he was placed on, and Chiaki was too late.

The world swam before her eyes as she started to cry, didn’t have enough ener-

The world started to fade away in a pool of sparkling fireworks. They clouded her vision, growing ever darker and darker. Someone far away was asking if she was alright, she felt the cold ground, and she could almost hear the child say “thank you.” Before the curtain cut her off from the warpath.

Chiaki was transported away from the battle to be given 3 days mandatory bedrest. She kept herself there, not willing to cry, not willing to look out of the window for the three days. She was able to get up and go to the restroom, but completely shamed, she had completely lost control of her emotions, and she had completely lost her sense of duty to the others that were injured in and around the warpath of the Hokage. How many shinobi died? How many Kunoichi? How many innocents?

These questions rang in her mind, unanswered, rattling like old dry bones in a cave of hungry wolves, providing no sustenance, but rather an irritant, an annoyance.
