Description: Given all the missions ninja are assigned to--battle, intelligence gathering, diversions--this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons; however, the object can be no smaller than 1 foot long in at least one dimension. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a master of this technique (which is generally an Academy graduation requirement) makes the user physically and visually the same as the transformed person or object in question, giving the user the exact mass and physical qualities of whatever they transformed into. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it. This technique does not give a ninja the abilities or jutsu of a person they transform into, nor can give the user the damaging ability of a weapon. Doujutsu and other sensory techniques can easily pick out the use of this jutsu. This, and the fact that the chakra of the user would be active, normal makes it easier for sensing techniques to pick out transformed people. Costs 5 chakra on activation, and an additional 5 chakra every 2 posts.

Name: Doppelganger Technique (影分身の術 ~ Bunshin no Jutsu)

Description: Using this technique, the user can create up to five intangible clones that appear physically identical to the user. The clones do not disturb the area around them, don't have shadows or body heat, and as such experienced ninja can easily pick them out in applicable situations. The clone has no physical form, and as such cannot attack. When any foreign presence, be it physical or an opponent's jutsu, passes through the clone, be it a fist, a rock or a blade, the clone will dissipate. It's mainly used to help mask the user, helping them attack an opponent who is superior at dodging. It costs 5 chakra to create clones.

Description: The Substitution Technique is an age-old skill which enables the user to move at speeds beyond readable perception for a fraction of a moment. Switching with a solid item previously mentioned in the thread in place of themselves, the ninja leaves behind a flickering after-image for a second, which, if damaged, releases the chakra which holds it in place in a small smoke cloud, revealing the nature of the technique and the item they have switched with. Though, a skilled user's afterimage is able to show some of the signs of natural impact as if it were solid, if only for a very short period, before 'poofing'. The user coming out of the technique creates a similar audio and visual cue with a small cloud of translucent smoke and a 'poofing' sound on appearance in the location of the item they Substituted with. Though, as they move at such high speeds, it is impossible to coordinate a physical attack in any form. Ninja using Kawarimi, therefore, while being able to maneuver close to an opponent, are unable to set up or follow through with any pre-prepared strike at high speed. (Though it can be used to appear, 'and then' launch an attack, a ninja cannot appear 'in mid strike' as it is impossible to coordinate on such a scale at those speeds.)

Name: Genjutsu Dissipation (幻術解 ~ Genjutsu Kai)

Description: A technique taught at the Ninja Academy requiring chakra control. By using Kai, a ninja disrupts their own flow of chakra, then starts it again. This allows a ninja to escape from illusions, provided he or she has figured out that a Genjutsu is active. Ninja can use this ability on their comrades to save them from genjutsu. It is possible for this technique to fail, if the user misjudges the power of the genjutsu and does not put in enough chakra to stop their chakra flow.

This is an E-ranked technique, but has variable chakra costs.

  • Genin: 15 chakra for a D-ranked Genjutsu, 30 for C. Genin cannot dispel B-ranked Genjutsu.
  • Chuunin: 25 chakra for a C-ranked Genjutsu, 40 for B. Chuunin cannot dispel A-ranked Genjutsu.
  • Special Jounin: 35 chakra for a B-ranked Genjutsu, 50 for A. Toku-Jou cannot dispel S-ranked Genjutsu.
  • Jounin: 45 chakra for an A-ranked Genjutsu, 60 for S. Jounin cannot dispel SS-ranked Genjutsu.
  • Sannin/Kage: 50 chakra for an S-ranked Genjutsu, 80 for unboosted SS. Only Genjutsu that specifically say that they cannot be Dissipated (such as Tsukuyomi) are the exception.


~Kai can dispel multiple genjutsu at once, but only on the user or another person, not both. The highest-rank genjutsu costs the normal amount to Dissipate, then the second costs the normal amount -5, the third -10, and so on. So, if a genin was caught under a C-rank and two D-rank genjutsu, it would cost 30 chakra to dispel the C-rank jutsu, 10 to dispel the second, and 5 to dispel the third.

Description: Supernatural Walking Practice is a basic ninja technique. It involves using chakra flow to channel chakra to one's hands or feet, allowing him/her to walk on, or cling to, surfaces that normally do not allow it. This includes, but is not limited to, walls/ceilings, trees, and even water. Should the flow of chakra stop for any reason, the user will immediately fall off of the surface they are walking on, or plunge underwater.

Description: This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu. Scrolls are the most common choice for item storage. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expand the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use.
The jutsu can be used to either store an item in something or to summon it from something. But it can’t be both.
This jutsu has a variable chakra cost depending on the item summoned from the scroll.

The items used to seal something with this technique need to bought in the item shop.

Name: Item Reinforcing Technique (Hokyō'in no Jutsu ~ 補強品の術)

This protects the chosen item from interactions with jutsu and allows it to withstand impact from a technique and not break, though it will still offer no protection from damage, other than what it normally would. The chakra cost for this jutsu is dependent on the rank of the item being reinforced.

Name: Puppet Technique (Kugutsu no Jutsu ~ 傀儡の術)

Description:
The jutsu generates long, fibrous, malleable chakra strings from each of the user's fingers. The condensed chakra takes a hue of variable colour depending on the user. This is generally used to control a puppet, though the flexible chakra fibre can just as easily be attached to a weapon to remotely control them, or a similar effect. Use on humans is restricted to only human puppets in your locker (you cannot control living people). All chakra strings are able to be cut using a jutsu with substantial force (blunt attacks, cutting, piercing) of C-rank or higher. However, the user can expend 15 chakra to reattach the strings however they see fit.

Three types of strings:
Multiple control (-5 chakra per turn):
The chakra strings at this rank are more tailored to controlling the base functions of many puppets as opposed to putting an astounding amount of effort into the control of few. Using this technique depending on the user's rank they are able to control up to 10 puppets, though the trade off is each of them operate at -1 of the user's unaugmented speed and reaction time (meaning jutsu, item and SC buffs/ +1's are not included, but ones from clans are.)
D rank = 2 puppets
C rank = 4
B rank = 6
A rank = 8
S rank = 9
SS rank = 10





Balanced Control (-5 chakra per turn):
Using more focused control on the puppets the user wields they are able to focus more into their puppets movement, and therefore they no longer receive the negative influence to their speed that the mass control strings had. However, the puppets still receive -1 to reaction time and less puppets are able to operate at this capacity per rank.
D-C rank = Max of 2 puppets
B-A rank 4
S-SS rank = 5





Focused control (-5 chakra per turn):
The user, with these strings, is able to literally control their puppets with such mastery as if they were basically human themselves. The concentration at this level requires they dedicate themselves into only one or two puppets, but they operate without any negatives what so ever, and move at the user's unaugmented speed and reaction times.
C-B rank = 1 Puppet max
A rank and up can use 2.

Description: The user concentrates in enveloping an opponent with an aura of cold air, dropping the temperature of the opponent’s immediate surroundings to appear as though the temperature of the entire area has been lowered. This aura of cold air moves with the opponent (within a 40 meter distance from the user), and the cold gradually increases in miniscule amounts – giving the opponent frostnip, but never enough to cause tissue damage (unless used at a higher rank). The cold begins to remove the opponent’s accurate sense of physical stimuli, numbing their senses and stopping them from noticing damage being done to them until the technique is deactivated. This allows for physical damage to go by unnoticed, such as crippling blood loss. Landing a physical hit on the user will result in immediate deactivation of the jutsu.

D rank: After three posts, the opponent will fail to notice light tissue damage made by D rank projectiles, and after five posts, tissue damage caused by any D rank weapon or genin-level Taijutsu will go by unnoticed.
C rank:  First degree frostbite at initial activation. After three posts, any damage by C rank weapons will go by unnoticed. After 5 posts, muscle sprains and minor bone fractures will only give off the feeling of bruising.

They are not physically attached to the user's body, and are controlled purely with chakra, but have a maximum range of 15 meters (meaning they would be unable to move anywhere more than 5 meters away from the user). These flexible whips may be used offensively to cause 1-2 inch deep cuts, and can also be used as a form of binding someone or something - it is enough to hold someone of equal rank for two posts, slow down a single rank higher shinobi for one post, and can easily be broken free by anyone two ranks higher than the user. Any jutsu of equal rank or higher used directly on the whips can break the bind or cause the jutsu to dissipate.

Description: Must be used with the Aisu Clan's Demonic Ice Crystal Mirrors. Upon the shattering of the mirrors, they shatter into tiny pieces of ice. This technique  allows for the user to use the existing ice from the shattering of the defensive shields for an offensive purpose. If activated the same post as the shields being shattered, the user can immediately take control of the ice shards before they fall, reinforcing them with hyouton chakra to mould them into slightly larger pieces (approximately 3 inches in length) - a total of 10 shards - then send them forward to envelop an opponent, with a maximum range of 20 meters in one direction. These shards travel at 25 m/s, and each shard can pierce approximately 1 inch into unprotected skin, along with first degree frostbite.

This jutsu cannot be used in combat; only as a way to escape from a fight or thread.

Description: Wind Release: Great Breakthrough is a relatively simple technqiue where the user creates a sudden intense burst of wind. This technique requires no hand seals or physical action to perform, and they can choose which direction the burst of wind shall travel towards. It does however take a few seconds from willing it to happen to the burst of wind occuring, and the birst of wind is always created around the user's body in such a way that the wind hits them too. For example, if you want the wind to fire in the direction you're facing, it will be created behind you, meaning you will be inside the burst yourself. This attack can knock aside C rank and lower projectiles flying opposed to it as well as greatly improve the velocity of those flying inside of it[three times faster than normal] and can send anyone who is not using Supernatural Walking Practice flying backwards several metres. Description: A supplementary jutsu for speed / travel purposes. The user channels hyoton energy outwards, creating a 4-inch sheet of ice with an area of 10 meters squared, forming path in any direction that stems from the user. It can also be created mid-air, used as an emergency platform to break a fall, or enhance a jump - as long as it does not exceed the jutsu range. The user is able to stand and move on the ice, the decreased amount of friction increasing their speed +0.5. As the user moves, more ice is created to maintain the path, and any left overs will dissipate the moment it is out of the user’s range. The entire sheet of ice can be broken by any C rank projectiles, and the more the ice is stretched to its full potential, the less weight it can bear. [When 5 meters squared of ice is used, it can support approximately 120 kg (or two individuals). When the full 10 meters is used, it can only support the user itself plus weapons or a small weight - approximately 60 kg.]

Description: The Ice Clone Jutsu is similar to the Shadow Clone Jutsu except it creates clones out of ice that have one-tenth of the original person's chakra. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control. Like other clone techniques, if the ice clones are injured enough they will shatter and be reduced to a pile of ice. Ice clones are capable of only using hyouton techniques provided they have enough chakra to cast it. A maximum of six clones may be created at any one time. The clone automatically disperses when it runs out of chakra, or when hit by any attack that can cause a noteworthy level of physical damage [second/third degree burns, broken bones, stab wounds, etc] or a C-rank/2 D-Rank offensive jutsu.

Description: An arctic wolf made entirely out of hyouton is created by the user. Running forward to a maximum of 20 meters, the wolf lets out an ear-splitting howl, disorienting the opponent before shattering into thousands of tiny ice pieces that expel outwards in a 5 meter radius, each piece able to pierce 2 inches into one's unprotected skin. The howl itself can break any solid formation of hyouton C rank or lower in a 5 meter radius. The wolf may be maintained for one post before activating its technique in the second post - if not activated, it will automatically shatter at the end of the second post.

This can be done by use of any raiton technique, since contact with water would electrocute the user. The user cannot use another technique while this one is in play. Techniques that have been previously set, however, are not cancelled.

Description: This medical technique is specifically to treat patients afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, removing excess or harmful substances from a person's body. After determining the location of the pathogen or toxin, an incision - whether from a wound itself, or made with a scalpel (or chakra scalpel, requiring the Chakra Scalpel technique) - must be made near the affected area. The user than channels medicinal chakra fluid into the incision, serving as carrier agents to draw out the harmful substance, which then hover until the end of the duration, allowing it to be collected and analyzed for later use. This technique is used only to remove out harmful substances, and a healing jutsu one rank lower than the the rank of the afflictionmust be used to repair existing damages as a follow up.

Depending on the severity of the affliction and the extent of which it has spread, the duration this technique is maintained varies.

- One post: Small, isolated body part, in which the harmful substance has not yet spread - moments after being inflicted with toxin / pathogen.
- Two posts: Source of poisonous substance has remained for a post, has spread to majority of a limb.
- Three posts: The harmful toxin / pathogen has now entered the bloodstream and is circulating throughout the body. Three maintained posts will be required to perform a full body dialysis to filter the entire body.

Description: This technique can only be used if the opponent has chakra-infused water in their system, resulting from a previous suiton technique used by the caster of this technique. This is usually used in conjunction with the Water Prison technique, where the user is able to guarantee that the opponent has ingested at least a swallow of water. Within two posts of the water being ingested into the opponent's system, the user activates this technique to reform and freeze every 30 ml of water (one swallow) into a deadly spiked ball of ice, causing potentially lethal internal tissue damage of around 3 inches deep. After causing damage, the ice will simply melt back into harmless water, and cannot be used again, unless the opponent ingests another quantity of water. A maximum of 3 of these hyouton spikes can be made. There is no specific range as this technique can be activated at any location, but this must occur within two posts of the water intake. The only way to avoid this technique would be to expel the swallowed water in some form before activation.

Description: Barbed hyouton tendrils (a maximum of four) rise from the ground upon activation of this technique from the opponents feet, wrapping around limbs in a movement meant to bind the opponent to the spot and render them unable to move. The opponent must be within 40 meters of the user, and the tendrils themselves are approximately 10 meters long. These tendrils are made entirely out of ice, and barbs along each tendril pierce approximately half an inch into flesh, releasing hyouton chakra into the opponent's muscles and causing them to 'lock up', rendering them unable to move for two posts before the hyouton chakra wears off. This technique works on special jounins and under, can bind a jounin for a single post, and can be easily broken out of by anyone higher than a jounin. A simple B rank raiton technique can disperse the tendrils immediately, while other techniques require 1 B, 1 C to disperse, or a B rank technique maintained through two posts.

Description: By utilizing the Aisu Clan kekkei genkai to combine fuuton and suiton chakra and form ice crystals in her hands - both hands placed together in a cupped position with her palms facing upwards. It takes a single second for this technique to be ready, after which she throws the small ice particles into the air, where it travels within 10 meters forward as the crystals merge to form a loose, vertical spiral shape, swirling midair with fuuton chakra maintaining it's delicate shape. The spiral can be a maximum of 3 ft in height, and can only float 4 ft into the air. At this point, it is still generally for aesthetics only, although anyone standing directly near the spiral (within half a meter) will suffer minor 2nd degree frostbite. However, once activated, the spiral will release a large pulse, pushing out 12 hyouton-fuuton arc-shaped blades - travelling at 50 m/s - that can cause 4 inch cuts upon contact in addition to 2nd degree frostbite, further irritating the wound. Because the spiral is vertical in shape, the 12 arc blades are sent out at staggered heights, requiring the opponent to jump at least 6 ft in the air in order to avoid the blades, or sink into the ground to dodge if they are within the range of the technique. The spiral can release a total of two pulses, but both must be done within the 3 post duration, or the technique will simply dissipate. Any B rank raiton technique will be able to dispel or any technique one rank higher will be able to dispel this technique.

Description: Using this technique, the user gathers some water from the air and surrounding environment into exactly one thousand long needles. He/She then directs them to a specific target at high speed, leaping backwards before impact so he/she does not get caught in the crossfire. While the needles do surround a target from all sides, they don't appear above the target, creating a 2 second limit to escape. The user can perform this jutsu with one-handed seals, allowing him/her to pin an opponent's arm and attack while they cannot use any techniques themselves.   The needles themselves are 8 inches in length and are able to move up to high speeds, capping at 40 m/s.  The needles can pierce through C-Rank armor and below as well as penetrate 1 inch into the targets skin.  The technique requires 20 Chakra to perform.

Description: Forming a small, baseball-sized azure sphere in the user's hand by channelling condensed hyouton chakra, the user must get within a range of three meters of the target before 'releasing' the sphere from their grasp - once leaving the user's hand, it will travel at a speed of 70 m/s towards the target. Rather than causing immediate physical damage upon contact with the target, it is absorbed into the body, seeking the internal warmth. Once absorbed into the body, intense cold will rapidly spread through the body, coating internal organs with a thin layer of frost and sending the body into immediate shock, followed by signs of severe hypothermia (pale white-blue lips, waxy skin, shivering) . If not treated immediately by an A rank medical technique in the following post, the user experiences -1 in speed, muscles beginning to lock up and become unresponsive. Within three posts without medical treatment, the target will be reduced to curling up on the ground with faint vital signs - requiring one A rank and an additional C rank + technique to treat them. If left untreated, death will occur in five posts. An additional sphere may be created within the same post at the cost of -15 chakra. Spheres can be destroyed with an A rank technique or higher, or a B rank raiton technique before reaching the body. Once it makes contact with a target, it cannot be destroyed.

Description: Easily one of the most versatile techniques in a medic-nin's arsenal and notorious for the damage it can bring in combat. After making the tiger, horse, and rat seals respectively, the user channels chakra 1-inch around the hands, sharpening it to the point where it can easily slice through materials like wood and flesh. In turn, the user can use this technique for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the chakra scalpel can make more precise cuts that reduce the risk of infection during surgery. The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively. Lethal cuts are difficult to manage due to the relative chaos of battle (although it is still capable of cutting into bone), so it is often used to effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons; muscles cut more than once with the scalpel will be rendered useless for one post afterward, and if tendons in the leg are cut, the opponent will be immobile for one post. Fatal cuts are still possible, however, so long as the user aims for vital areas such as the neck. In addition, the technique also gives the user an increased level of durability over their chakra clad hands, able to endure three hits of an A-rank or lower non-elemental blade before receiving damage.

Description: One-post preparation is optional. By reading their opponent's body movements and gauging the potential power behind an attack, the user anticipates where an attack will strike and pre-emptively applies medical treatment to the area. The chakra channeled to the area in question stimulates and hastens the cell recreation process even before the attack strikes, essentially over-healing the area and in turn reducing the damage that would have been taken by one rank (two if the user took a preparation post). This technique is useful in the fact that the user can use it in order to persevere through an attack that otherwise might have incapacitated them, surprising the opponent and leaving them open to counterattack. The leftover wound suffered, in addition, will heal slowly over the course of the following three posts.
